I look at this as a treasure hunt. They have a wide variety of items, furniture, paintings, lamps, plants, and much much more. I follow them on Facebook and they have a weekly coupon - discount. It takes a while to get through this huge warehouse (they have blankets hanging at the entrance to use if you get cold!!) but if you love the hunt, you'll get your fix. LOOOVE THIS PLACE!!! Now this place is definitely for those that enjoy finding treasures. Just Like the Model is located on a small street pass the 405 on ramp on Euclid. Parking lot is small. Its a HUGE warehouse with tons of furniture and home decor. I've found a few treasures myself that are now beautiful pieces in my home. Each one gets compliments from friends and family. They offer deals now and then for seniors, holidays, and young folks. Staff is very friendly. They are also dog friendly and have treats for your four legged friends. I have been buying products from them for about 10 years (going back to the Fountain Valley location) land have spent thousands of $$$$$$ and up to last weekend have been very satisfied. I brought a friend who was looking for a dresser into the store and while I was there found a set of bar stools that I wanted. We put both items on hold and told the clerk that we would be right back (as she wanted to look at one other dresser before buying the one at JLTM). We were told that we could hold the items for one hour - since it was around 330 and they closed at 500, the clerk said that we could hold the items until closing time. When we returned at 435, they had already sold the barstools. The clerks explanation was that they tried to find me and couldn't so she sold them. She then argued with me about the time of the hold and said that we had been gone longer than an hour. She was not interested that the time stamp on the photo I took of the barstools showed that we had returned within the hour. Needless to say, they have lost at least two customers. Please be warned that the sale is more important to them than good customer service. read more

I would have given more stars if the staff who dealt with us was not rude. This young girl with a tattoo either near her chest or on her arm was ridiculous! I was ready to pay and I asked her if the item I was buying a sales or a clearance item. She said they just got this so it was not. Then, I said great, this means I can use the 10% discount by checking in on yelp. She said, no we do not accept coupons TODAY. I said, but the discount on yelp does not say you only accept coupons on certain days. She then asked her co-worker if the item I was buying was a sales item (what a heck? She really did not want me to use the coupon.) The co-worker replied that no because they just got this item. It was a regular priced item. So, I said, then this means I DEFINITELY can use the yelp coupon. However, she gave me an attitude and said, "no we do not accept any coupons today." So, I raised my voice a little with hopes that others could hear that I spent at least 5 minutes with this dumb and rude girl. I said, "But, this YELP discount does not indicate anything that says you do not accept the coupon TODAY" Thankfully, her co-worker overhead me and came over to ask me to show her the yelp discount. Then, she said to both of us that "we accept the discount from yelp!" That girl unwillingly entered the 10% discount and then said to me that "I don't think we have a bag that is big enough for your painting". I was at the top of my boiling point and said, I definitely want you to bag my item because they are 5 pieces of metal art work and I just paid $120 for them! Overall, I love the store to find good deals, but I definitely do not appreciate the customer service from that girl with a tattoo. read more

My review is completely based off the prices. The staff is nice and I love coming here to see what they have but who prices this stuff. The furniture is usually priced decently, USUALLY, but everything else is way over priced. For instance I saw an ikea lamp that I bought for $20 bucks being sold for $34.99. IKEA! It was damaged too. I read on their site that they price things 30 to 70% below its value, but according to my calculations that is 70% above value! Nice to stop and look at but I will never buy anything USED at these prices. read more

The manager, Myra, of this store is so rude. She is so unhelpful and is not flexible on pricing, even with pieces that are damaged and overpriced. I saw an Ikea bookcase that was priced higher than it would cost to get it and have it assembled at Ikea. There were a few bargains but the sofas were way over-priced. I wouldn't waste time going here. There are far better places with much better deals and nicer people. Try Home Consignment Center down the road or Cort Furniture Clearance Center. read more

Unfortunately my first purchase at this place ended up buying an item that was way overpriced. Price of a narrow entryway table @ JLTM was $289.00 and I did receive an additional 20 percent off. Prices use to be fair, but they have been increasing steadily and are now completely over priced. They charge top dollar for used furniture that is not in the best condition. Your best bet is to go to a discount store like Home Goods that has a good return policy in case you change your mind. Just like the model does not have a viable return policy (they only offer a 24 hour trial period for bedding, and artwork only). Also, don't get too excited when they annouce that they have received new shipments...the employees get first dibs on any new items that arrive and even though the items are in the show room, you are not able to purchase them unless the employess are not interested.. You are much better off going to an estate sale or garage sale. read more

I found this place when my daughter was working for a home builder. And I fell in love with this store. They moved, which is funny, because we drove to the old location. Anyways, I saw a sofa there today that I bought somewhere else for 1/2 as much! I love this place. You can spend hours in here. I know for a FACT that the buyers of model home furniture don't cut corners. They buy NICE and really expensive things, because my daughter bought the items to put in them. Cost was not an issue for designing model homes. SO... just check the items careful, it might have nicks and marks but SO WHAT. Most of it doesn't. Where can you get a lamp shade for $7? No where that's where. Also...some items (like plates) might have glue on them because the model home designers have to hot glue things down because the GQ Public STEALS. It's terrible how much they steal in model homes. SOOOOOOOO ask them at the store how to remove and it's easy. It's the best place EVER to find unique items. And I used to talk to the owner. She was SO nice. Same staff, too, not a big turn over which says something. They are SO nice. Can't say enough about this place. Half my house is decorated from them! read more

Anything that you buy in this place it comes with dirt and dust on it, they don't even like to clean the dust from the items. One of the employees told me that" it's the store policy not to clean the articles and "how you see it that is how it's going to deliver you, " and I asked her even if you see the spider web you don't clean that off? AND her answer was "even the spider web." After I could not believe what I was hearing, and I said to myself wow what a shitty management they don't even like to wipe out the dust off the items and call their store policy! She also added that if we happened to consign with them than the item should be spotless and very up to date, I was shocked about their policy if receiving the items from others it should be clean, and sadly they don't apply that policy to their store policy hahaha. The girls working at JLM the first thing they do is taking the best new items for themselves without the owner even knowing, because she is too old and tired sitting in her office at all time and don't even know what is going on, and this poor place a serious, honest manager. When my husband was there, he overheard the employees taking the good stuff and save it for themselves and pay for it before going home like the sheets and bedspread, pillows, pillow case, etc.. Last time I got this bed that I taught it was nice for the price and when it was delivered to my home, I was shocked how bad it looks, and dirty my husband and daughter said I wasted the money, time, and space. The living room items sofas and other furniture are over price, and it should be much cheaper. I mean this place is over price than Z gallery. Over all, I give them 0, but I could not find 0. Please check the items before being delivered to your place because the delivery can scratch it and say that is how it was ..Try other consignment stores before going to this place then you can see what's going on and compare it read more

just like a model employees are the worst in the retail! first all make sure you watch them take the items apart!!! they may not give you all the parts or not tell you parts are missing!!! i purchased an item and did not receive all the parts and the item is useless because it is unstable. i went back the next day and asked them for the parts and they advised me that they gave me all the parts. first of three employees took apart my item and they just put the parts on the table and never gave me a bag. thank goodness i had a bag in my car... but realized later that i was missing three parts. they would not take it off the same items that they had for sale. i will never purchase anything from this place ever again. i don't recommend shopping there... plus watch out for items that have sun damage... a lot of there items are damaged... good luck... ruf has better service.... they even ask if they can help you. ruf 17791 sky park circle, suite j, irvine ca 91351!!! read more

I just went to this place today. I bought a beautiful high quality couch and a very cool dining room set. I am so thrilled to have found such beautiful furniture at such good prices. The couch came with 5 gorgeous throw pillows that would have been very expensive if I bought them separately. The owner was super nice and helped me find the right table and chairs. The other staff members were friendly and helpful. I'm really excited about the great stuff I got. I recommend this store to anyone who wants quality furniture at a great price. read more

First all lets make sure everyone understands there furniture has been USED and is not new. My wife and I have bought a few decor items in the past. We went there most recently and literally the store has become so expensive that you will laugh yourself out of the place. This place must of gotten overly excited they were featured on the news then felt there used dirty couches are now worth thousands. This might seem a bit inconsistent but I have mixed feelings about this place. After reading rave reviews several years ago, I went and found great stuff for my daughters new home. Especially dressers for her children, little girls vanities, and a small chair. Then they moved to the Murphy street location. Ive been there twice in the last month and have been disappointed both times. It seems more like a consignment store with some far more than gently used offerings.
