My experience at Just Pies in Westerville, Ohio on November 20, 2023 RE: Complete lack of customer service, dishonesty, and no remorse. I drove nearly 20 miles from Upper Arlington today and arrived at JP's at approximately 10:30 this morning to pick up two pies, a pumpkin and pecan. I was able to purchase a pecan and was told the next batch of pumpkin would be available within an hour. I couldn't stay or return at 11:30 so the lady behind the counter said no problem, just call and see when the next batch of pumpkin pies will be available. As directed, I called from Lewis Center at 12:45 and was told pumpkin would be available at 2 pm. I drove approximately 10 miles over to Just Pies where I arrived at 1 pm. I went in and asked if they had any pumpkin pies available? They said 2pm but please call. I told them I will be waiting in my vehicle. At 1:30 I went in to check if they might have pies available and an older woman said let me check. She went into the kitchen and when she returned, she said they will be ready at 2pm. Again, I went back out to my vehicle to wait until 2pm. At 2pm I went back into the store and asked to purchase a pumpkin pie and was told they will not be available until 4pm. I explained the above scenario to the ladies behind the counter and all they would say pumpkin pie will not be available until 4 pm and said there was nothing they could do. As I left completely disgusted an enraged an older gentleman overheard me and told me that's exactly what they told him as well over the phone, pumpkin pies will be available at 2pm, he also left with none. And that is precisely why I will never do business with Just-Pies ever again and will tell everyone I know this disturbing experience. read more

I love this place' every pie I've had has been great. One of my favorites was their monthly special pie in February which was layer of a cream cheese cake style base with chocolate and strawberries w/oreo? crumble on top, they have one of the best glazes they use on the strawberries I've ever taste. Only been to the two in Gahanna and the one on N High St .Now unfortunately both of those are closed.That is the best pie in town I have not been to the last one that is still open.I always went to one of those for special holidays.Sometimes when I was just in the area of the one on N.High St.,I would buy a small one just for myself.I just really miss the ones that have closed. I am just going to have to take the time to find the one that is still open.I only gave 4 stars because there is really no ambiance,but good food and service. read more

i thought the key lime pie and coconut pie were so good, and then I tried the banana cream pie... omg sooo frikken good! that banana cream pie is definitely my favorite so far. Also tried their frozen savory chicken/broccoli/cheddar pie today and we all loved it. these frozen savory pies would make amazing meal gifts for families with newborns who need easy ready made meals. the pies are all beautiful! read more

No frills, straight up FANTASTIC pies. Always a great selection from refrigerated pies like silk chocolate mousse, custard, and key lime pies to fruit pies including apple, strawberry, rhubarb, and often a mixed berry. Pumpkin and pecan in season. No better pies anywhere. The store is tucked away in an industrial style complex in Westerville with limited hours, and order way ahead for holidays. Uptown Deli & Brew and the Westerville Grill serve their pies if you can't make it to the store. read more

When you walk into just pies you'll think you're in some sort of professional bakery. The smells are amazing. You can call ahead to see what pies they have and the sizing for them or you can wait and see what they have when you get there. I really think the pot pies are really good to have around on the holidays. Just for family when they stop in or anything! We always keep our freezer stacked with a few. My wife and I stopped to get a pie from Just Pies to take to a friend's BBQ dinner. We got the Peach Riot (peach, cherry, blueberry). It was awesome and a total hit with our friends,too. Incredibly flavorful filling and really good crust. We got the 8" pie and it was just enough for 6 people. The service was cheerful, quick and efficient. Love that this place has been open with extended hours leading up to Christmas and that there were many employees on hand to serve customers. Pies were all well stocked of all flavors and sizes. Disappointing that the other 2 stores had to close due to staffing issues. They are a Columbus mainstay! The pies are always amazing and well worth the extra money. Oh my goodness. First time trying here just got so lucky with my Yelp search. My wife wanted apple pie and we found the best one in the area and we live close to Der Dutchman. It was a perfect crust and not too sweet filling so perfect. While there we picked up a beef pot pie and some chocolate chip cookies. Don't fool yourself this place is amazing and you need to get your favorite flavor. I can't wait to get back for more of their great pies and cookies. read more

We got three of their pies over the holiday season. The strawberry rhubarb was just OK for me but my husband and the rest of the family loved it. I think it was a little too tart for me. Crust was really good and I don't care if lard was used. I like a good crust! For Christmas we got the apple crumb and French silk pies. Oh my word! Both pies were really good. My family was split on which pie was better. I didn't think the French silk pie was too rich. Again the crust was heavenly. Is it pricey? Yes but for the quality and weight of the pies made it worth it. We will continue to get pies from them for any special occasion or holiday. read more

I have been getting these tasty pies from Huffman's Market in UA for years but we wanted to go to the source. They have a large selection of pies and sizes... small, med. and large. Like, I can't imagine why anyone, *anyone*, when faced with a choice of pies would choose a citrus fruit based pie, but I bought a Key Lime pie (amongst other, better, more traditional pie types) because I knew at least one of the people who were going to be at the place where the pies would meet their respective demises liked Key Lime pie. Ok so there's the setup; citrus fruit based desserts are a total mystery to me, but I wound up with one in my possession. Anyway I thought I would try this revolting pie disaster in an effort to be a more rounded person (or at least more round AMIRITE) and sweet Jebus this thing was shockingly good. 20 years MINIMUM of citrus fruit based dessert hate all down the drain in an instant. The staff are awesome, owner/manager (older women with white blonde hair) is rude, take it or leave it attitude, ruins the entire experience. Per the Columbus Dispatch they had to close two other locations because they couldn't keep help (pre-COVID), makes perfect sense, manager/owner is unpleasant. I'm a Just Pies thief. There, I said it. I work in catering and if I'm at an event, where the client has ordered from Just Pies...I'm on a mission to get a piece of pie. The pies are just that da*n good! I've had strawberry rhubarb, blackberry, cherry crumb, peach and for all of them, the crust is perfectly flaky and the fillings are fruity, sweet and tart when they should be. I just recently tried the Buckeye Pie and the Chocolate Silk pie and it was just creamy, fudgy, pie heaven. I recommend them highly! They have a couple different locations, so one should be close by. read more

I had called the Westerville (the only location now) on November 8th to pre order our Thanksgiving Pies and I was told they they stopped taking orders at the beginning of Nov. Who knew you had to order so early. I asked if they had a solution to my problem and they said they were baking all day long everyday up until Thanksgiving. So I went to their website and saw that they open at 7am on Monday's. The Monday before Thanksgiving I made the 30 plus min drive in the rain to arrive before 6:30am fully expecting to encounter a line of people at the door waiting to get in and buy their pies. I arrived and there were two other men there before me. I got in line and I noticed a sign on the door. It was a list of their holiday hours. These holiday hours were not listed on their website. It said opening at 8am. I could not believe that they did not post these on their website. I was about to walk away because I couldn't wait that long. When an employee came to the door and she opened it and let us in my heart leapt in joy. She opened early for those of us standing in line in the rain. I was so blown away by her kindness. I was able to get every pie on my list and I was on my way to work. What customer service. My only suggest is up date your website next year. Oh and yeah and the pumpkin cheesecake pie is amazing. Great pies. I have been to both the Westerville (now only location) and the Clintonville (closed) stores and both have been fantastic. The selection of pies is out of this world. While most people enjoy coming to get a pie for vaupis holidays, I enjoy coming for Pie Day (math people know) for my fiance. The apple pie has been my favorite so far, but I would not be afraid to try any other type. read more

I had the opportunity to visit this shop this past Monday. I was able to call and reserve the pies I wanted to pick up later in the day. Which was very helpful. I pre-ordered a buckeye and a strawberry cream. I also bought a lemon meringue. They were all excellent pies. I love pie and usually do not eat the crust. The bottom crust I eat but always leave the piece of crust at the back of the pie. The crust to these pies were great. I ate every inch of the pie including all the crust. The lemon meringue was perfect. The strawberry cream is also a must try. The buckeye was rich but also good. The atmosphere of the shop was very inviting. I loved the big space. It was clean and would definitely go there again. And they had generous samples of pie and cookies! I love that they have 3 sizes of pies! I would love to try every pie they have except coconut but only because I don't like coconut. I would definitely go there again. read more

Very disappointing. I generally don't eat animal products other than dairy, but my husband bought a couple of pies so I tried a taste and they were both unimpressive. The peach was downright awful, you can literally taste the lard in every bite, even, somehow, if you are just eating the peach filling.
