I finally got to use my gift card. I must say it was quite a treat because the donuts are made to order. The donuts are served warm, so fresh. I ordered the Maple Bacon it was loaded with bacon. It was so good the saltiness of the bacon and sweetness of the maple, perfect combination. I also purchased the chocolate covered strawberry donut. It was good, they have so many choices. I think I had VERY high expectations of this place. First time here and probably my last experience. While I find the donuts good they were SO overpriced. 3.50 per donut or 17.50 for 6. I splurged and went for it. Turns out they were out of a lot of the toppings on the donuts I wanted so I had to settle for something else. The store was a bit messy there were chairs strewn about the store and powdered sugar all over the tables, as if someone has sat there and played in it, but nobody had bothered to clean it up. The store wasn't busy, and as a matter of fact, I was the only Customer in the place when I got there, I was greeted happily and told not to order anything with strudel as the Manager had not ordered enough that week. I felt overwhelmed by the selections and he kept pointing to the counter, as if I was supposed to pick from the picture taped to the counter. I didn't quite understand the process so therefore, I just ordered the donuts that I saw up on the board they tasted like typical donuts that I can get anywhere. Actually, I've had better from Kroger. I'm giving this place at three out of five because the workers were very nice and trying to help me with my ordering, and I was sympathetic to them, having to tell people all day that they are out of items. Overpriced I took my kids in on a Friday night. I felt bad because only one person was working. He was trying to fill orders, fix the donut maker, answer the phone and ring us up. It was a fun experience for the kids to watch the donut machine drop the batter and cook the donuts. Then of course they got to pick what glaze and toppings. With such high prices these days, I could not miss the offer for 12 donuts for $12 on 1/13 in celebration of rubber ducky day. I have never ordered from this location. I ordered a few days prior on their website for the only option of the duck dozen. I noticed one of the donuts in the duck dozen was the maple bacon. I do not eat pork, so wrote the staff a note to leave out the bacon on my order. Hubby and I tried Duck Doughnuts this weekend on the recommendation of one of my best friends. We walked in expecting to see a case full of doughnuts like a typical doughnut store. But we didn't. I love this place where you can make your donuts customize with multiple toppings. You start off with a warm vanilla cake donut then from there you can add toppings and also you can have your donut topped with drizzle. The customer service was excellent as well they were patience with me since this was my first time. They were also attentive to your needs and questions. Holy Moly!!! Hands down, the best doughnuts my daughter and I have ever had...and we have tried many doughnut shops as doughnuts are one of our favorite treats! I think that what makes these doughnuts better than all doughnut places is that these doughnuts are made fresh (dough and all) in front of you and they are served nice and hot! This was perfect for the crisp fall weather that we have now! I had a maple covered doughnut topped with peanuts. It was simply amazing! It was so hard to just have one, but I stopped myself from ordering a half dozen more (although I really wanted to)! My daughter had TWO vanilla covered doughnuts topped with sprinkles! They were great too! The service between the person taking the order and the person making the doughnuts fresh was superb! We will definitely truck the 30 minute car ride to get more of these doughnuts again soon! read more

So yummy! These custom hot donuts made for a sweet treat on a cold morning. While they were beautifully made and super yummy, they were overwhelmingly sweet. I've been to Duck Donuts many times in the past. I've not gone in a while, but decided to treat myself. Somehow I ordered for curbside through Grub Hub. That was not the issue. In fact, my experience with them was great. My problem was this: 1). I ordered curbside, I sat and waited. And waited. And waited. The order was promised in 15-35 minutes, and I didn't want to be impatient. So, I waited some more. Finally went inside to fetch my donuts. They of course were sitting on a shelf behind the counter. The unattended counter. I waited some More. Moved around to try and make myself noticed. Finally I said "Hello?" And the young lady came out from the back. NOW, let me be clear. I run a quick service restaurant. I am fully aware that you can't be up front 100% of the time. I also get that most places are running short handed. With that being said, when she came out she said "oh, you have a pick up order?" I said "yes, I thought it was for curbside". She tossed the box on the counter towards me and said "Oh? Sorry about that". I decided to keep my tip at this point. I left, started to drive home and opened my box to look at the donuts. Ummm wait, these don't look like what I ordered. I had seen my name on the receipt that she threw away, so I know I was handed "my" order. So, I pull over, call Grub Hub & ask if they can read me the details of what I ordered. I thought perhaps I was the one who made a mistake. Maybe I didn't tick the right box/ingredients. The kind Grub Hub worker found the order, began reading ingredients and sure enough, I am capable of ordering donuts thru an app! I drive back to DD to get my donuts made properly. When I tell the girl "these don't have the ingredients I asked for". She simply replied "Oh, we are out of bacon". Like meh, no big deal. I then very curtly explained to her that what SHOULD have happened was that she call her customer (phone # is required to order AND it even says "in case anything goes wrong they can call). And at the verrrrry least let them know that there will be missing Ingredients. I also told her she acted like it was no big deal and that she knows better. I get in the big scheme of things, not being able to get bacon on a donut that costs $2.25 is not that serious. However, when you order something and they don't even give you the option to cancel or change it, that's unacceptable. She did nothing to try to make it right. Didn't apologize, didn't offer to remake or replace with a donut. Her attitude was "lady, I don't care if you're dissatisfied with the product in your box" I KNOW this is NOT the typical service from this brand. I also know that I sound like a "Karen" but come on. How hard would it have been for her to call me and say "hey, we're out of bacon, do we you still want this". If she had, I would've cancelled the order. If you've had the donut w the bacon on it, you already know. It's amazing. If the owners or managers read this, please train your people on how to handle this type of issue. It's a very easy fix. read more

Who doesn't love donuts? If you have a craving for a sweet snack and want to try a new experience, I'd recommend giving Duck Donuts a try. While I'll say these aren't the *best* donuts I've ever had, this is still a solid 4.5 star visit based on a few factors. Firstly, the staff was friendly when I came in. The first thing the girl at the register asked was if I had been there before. When I said no, she explained the process. And didn't seem irritated in the least that I had took my time to select what donuts would make up my half dozen. Which brings me to the menu. It's big, it can be a little intimidating. But they have a suggestions sheet to look over by the door before you get up to the register. The options all center around a basic vanilla cake donut. You pick a coating (sugar, cinnamon, various glazes), a topping (Oreos, sprinkles, peanuts, bacon, etc), and then there are various drizzles you can add. I saw breakfast sandwiches on the menu, a donut sundae, and several different beverages. There should be something for everyone! And the best part (for the kids at least) is the assembly line. Conveniently, there's a ledge for kids to stand on and behind a glass partition you can watch your donuts dropped in the fryer and then picked up for the coating. Then the toppings you ordered are added as you watch on and then placed in a box. At the end of the line they show you the order for approval before the top is placed on your box. And the end result is still warm, soft and airy donuts. I most definitely plan on coming back! read more

The price at $3.50 a donut is RIDICULOUS. I got two regular donuts, a sugar cinnamon and glazed with a large coffee. $10.50!! Located on Polaris Parkway in a newer strip mall. This shop is so new they dont have a permanent sign out front yet. Just a banner hanging above the front door. Ironically situated right next to Orange Theory which I might need to go and workout after eating a few of these little gems. Expect to wait, not only to order but to wait again for them to make it. I went mid morning around 10 am and the line wasn't too bad. Maybe 10 minutes or so. The concept of this place is a bare cake donut that you can customize with a glaze, a topping and/or a drizzle. The donuts are made fresh here and are warm! I wish they had more bare donut options. The glaze and topping combos are endless. I can see this place being a kid fav since they get to pick out there own combo and watch it being made. Again, not a donut fan in general but I like this concept of top your own. The cake donut itself is very moist and flavorful add the glaze and toppings and bam instant yum. I ordered a dozen for $13.50. Its only a few more dollars than a local known chain donut shop so its worth the price to be able to customize it. Overall a good place but not something I have to come to often.
