After fighting Seafair traffic we wanted something fresh and filling. Just Poke is right outside my hotel, and having fallen in love with Hawaiian food in Lihue, it was a perfect choice, the order is taken speedily, and the bowl composed right in front of me. I had the rainbow roll bowl, and it was just like I remember from the islands! Hubby got a spicy salmon bowl and he said it was tasty with a spicy kick. We both also got bowls of warming and comforting miso soup. The shop is little, typical of a traditional poke shop, it's brightly colored, clean with an attentive and friendly staff. Thanks for giving us a great meal! Also for the service, the attention giving to authenticity and freshness, this healthy and flavorful food will will and set you back and gives value for your money!

This might be a funny comment on a place that sells poké bowls, but they have really amazing tofu! Lol, seriously, I still think about it. It was extra firm tofu on the outside but extra soft tofu on the inside. The seared tuna was also really good.

This place was right outside our hotel and since I like Poké, I was delighted to have them so close. The service was super fast and friendly. The place was very conveniently located and had several barstools for seating although it was a bit small. The Poké itself was descent. It wasn't anything to rave about but it wasn't bad. It hit the spot and had all the normal options for Poké. If you're looking to be blown away by flavor, you might not be, but it is fresh, fast, and convenient. It hit the spot but I'd want to try other places before settling on this one again.

Needed a quick lunch and hadn't had poke in a while, so wanted to try a new spot. Ordered online and a friend was nice enough to pick it up for me so I can't speak to the in-store experience. Flavor was good and everything tasted fresh. For a large bowl and the cost, I thought the portion size was on the smaller side. Three proteins including a not at all spicy ahi came out to about $20, pre-tip. I'd come back again but probably temper my portion size expectations or add some additional protein.

During travels for another event last week in downtown Seattle, I tried a poke bowl from here and was very satisfied. Their menu offers signature bowls or build-your-own. I opted for the latter choice. Poke was tasty & fresh along with many options for toppings and add-ons. I highly recommend this place. It's casual and not very big, but a few seats to enjoy a quick bite. It's located right across the street from the Seattle Convention Center - The Summit and within walking distance from the major hotels in the area.

Stopped in for a quick lunch during a conferences the place wasn't busy, the staff was friendly, and I enjoyed my poke bowl! I definitely recommend if you are in the area! The shop was super clean and it's centrally located between hotels and the convention center! Give it a try if you have a chances

Updated review from 2 Months ago…read more.. I've been back roughly 6 times from my previous review of Kona Kitchen. Then it was too many staff, not many customers and it was difficult to get service, that has been improved upon. They are nice and attentive when they see you. Service was normal, the wait staff came around and offered more beverage. This time it was still slow period, so what gives it only 3 stars instead of more? It's the fact that the main door the employee use to go into the kitchen to give their orders to the cooks had cob webs on the top of the door.i mean everyone of them walk through that door hundreds of times throughout the week because I could tell it's been there for some time. Where's the food inspector, should be a concern because if it's there in full view of customers and employees, what else is happening as far as cleanliness at Kona Kitchen. I will be there within two or three days and wonder if the cobweb will still be a fixture there... it's something that is annoying because nobody's done anything about it. Amazing.

Thankfully dine-in is back open again, so we got here on a Saturday morning around 11:20am to indoor seating that was nearly full and a small line that was forming at the front counter. Walls have a bunch of photo frames, and overall place felt very homely. They have a ton of Hawaiian style plates and even burgers and some seafood, though we and most others got the former to eat. I ordered their chicken and pork combo Hawaiian style plate, and my bestie got their chicken katsu Hawaiian style plate. Portions are huge for both plates and both also came with macaroni salad. They give you sooooo much meat no matter what you get. To go in slightly more detail: - Chicken and pork combo: both meats were flavored very well, and a little sweet too though pretty salty without using the rice as a palette cleanser. Chicken had more depth in its flavor; the pork's flavor was a little too much for my liking, and was slightly harder to chew. Both meats had some sauce hat went onto the rice itself. This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. Just get here, it's a place you can't pass up when you hit up Georgetown!

I would have to say the most thing I enjoyed the most was the chili pepper water, it added the tanginess that the chicken needed and I was very pleased with the spice level. Traditional Limu Ahi, Spicy Sambal Ahi, Spicy Kiawe Smoked Hawaiian Tombo, Tamari Miso Garlic Salmon, Spicy Salmon, Yuzu Black Pepper Scallops, Spicy Oyster Sauce Ahi, and the Shoyu Limu Tako. Basically, I tried all the options on Saturdays and Tuesdays. While I'm not a connoisseur, all of the varieties had a buttery smooth texture, the hallmark of freshness, and the sauces they were dressed in were all perfectly balanced so it did not overwhelm the flavor of the meat. They trim the fish well, removing bloodlines and the tougher bits, which most other places leave in to get more weight out of their fish as well as saving on labor. As for sides, my top recommendation is the seaweed salad. It's fresh, crunchy, and again has the perfect balance of flavors. The mac salad is also really good, not laden down with the mayo dressing that other places tend towards. As for portion sizes, the regular is enough for two people.
