This is one of my favorite Seattle sushi spots. I usually keep it simple here. Rainbow roll and a bowl of miso soup, every time. The fish on the rainbow roll is always fresh and sliced thick enough that you actually taste it, not just rice. The balance is right too. Good ratio of fish to rice, clean cuts, and it's plated beautifully without feeling overworked. The miso comes out hot with just the right amount of tofu and seaweed, and it's consistent, which I appreciate. The space is modern and low key. Big windows, easy to slip in for lunch. I've come solo and with friends, and it works both ways. Service is fast,l and friendly. It's the kind of place I don't have to think about. When I'm craving sushi, this is where I go.

End of January, I won the $50 grand prize from Foods by Sachi and Urban Sushi Kitchen. Finally, I was able to stop in (2/19/24).

I learned that I had won an IG prize to Urban Sushi Kitchen. I had to make the effort to stop by during the weekdays since they are closed on weekends. I finally located Urban Sushi Kitchen in the Denny Triangle /South Lake Union area on 2/19/24. I was able to find free parking due to the Presidents Day holiday. It is located around the corner from the US Courthouse and across the street from a Seattle Police precinct. I liked the clean, modern streamlined interior with lots of natural light and ample onsite seating. I showed the helpful counter person screenshots to claim my IG prize. There was no gift card available, so I had to literally redeem and dine onsite. I ended up selecting chicken karaage, a custom roll, and a beef teriyaki bento box to claim the prize value. I paid extra to try their hotate and hamachi nigiri. The food was brought out shortly afterwards - nicely prepared, generous, and tasty. The menu prices reflect the location, but it was nice to end up with so much leftovers, that the contents filled an entire compartmentalized takeout container! I was pleasantly surprised with my first visit. Thank you for the generosity from @foodsbysachi and Urban Sushi Kitchen.

Casual sushi spot located in downtown South Lake Union. Order at counter, get number, and have it brought to you (they are quick!) Spicy Tuna Sushi Burrito ($18) was not aesthetic at all, looked small, and was overpriced (perhaps the high prices are due to location). The filling looked like weird gray mush and I never like the look of pale iceberg lettuce anywhere near my sushi. However, all this aside, it tasted great and was pretty filling. BF got the chicken katsu bento ($22) which had lots of components and looked awesome.

Great Service. Tried the Seahawks & Roll, very good. Highly recommend stopping by Urban!

Delicious sushi (I got the spider roll), the chicken karaage was pretty good too. Definitely a must try!

Food - sushi was pretty good! I liked my caterpillar roll and it tasted fresh. The Inari was my favorite - very well formed and flavored, and the tamago was just ok. They have several bottled drinks, including Ito En green tea which I love. They have several options including bentos, rolls, maki, sashimi and nigiri, sushi burritos, and a few more sides. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options! Service - they were very kind and greeted me when I arrived and thanked me when I left. They brought items out to me as ready and took my empty plates in between. They were very polite and attentive. Ambiance - I liked this spot for a quick lunch or snack. It was well lit and clean, and I enjoyed the little window bar seating facing the street. Great cozy spot for a light meal on a rainy day.

The food was amazing and the perfect temperature. The unagi was savory, phenomenal presentation of each dish. The staff was incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed. The environment was welcoming and it was a great place to eat dinner with friends

This is an amazing place for sushi! The restaurant is a modern design and very clean. The employees are very friendly with spot on service. The sashimi has vibrant colors, very fresh tasting, with every bite perfect! I chose the Rainer box for its variety of sashimi and sushi which made a well balanced meal. The miso served with it had a delicious flavor. Also, the warm sake paired well with the meal. Overall, no complaints here and I cannot wait to come back and try more dishes soon!

This was at 12:30PM and there was a long line out the door and around the corner, taking almost 30 minutes. I had previously visited on a rainy winter weekday for lunch and there wasn't a line at all. What a difference the day and weather can make! While in line we could see the chefs cutting up ahi fresh right in front. The longer line gave me time to chat with the owner as he was trimming off the skin and other bits. I learned that tuna skin is much tougher than salmon skin so can't be eaten like salmon skin chips. He also said that the trimmed parts can be taken for free if anyone wants them. Apparently they make good crab bait! Medium w/ Rice, Traditional Limu Ahi, Hamachi, Mac Salad ($21.50) - I love the Hamachi poke mix. It's fresh, tender, and buttery fish tossed in a creamy and slightly spicy sauce, filled with little briny pearls and plenty of aromatics giving a super umami bite. The Limu Ahi is very fresh as well - I mean, it's sliced right in front, and there's so much turnover of the food that's it's pretty much guaranteed fresh. The tuna is fresh and tender, but there's noticeably more sinew compared to the hamachi. The Mac Salad is also really good. It's super creamy and the macaroni isn't overcooked so it still has some bite. The rice is unfortunately the weakest item in the bowl. It's a little too dry for my tastes and is only lightly tossed with rice vinegar, giving a tangy flavor. Overall all the poke is fresh, the flavors all meld together into a delightful balanced bite, and the sauces are not overwhelming. Ono Poke definitely serves some great poke! We grabbed a table and the girl brought out our drinks, then the katsu came out and the girl apologized for the delay with the chirashi bowls. Few minutes later our chirashi bowls came out and the girl apologize for the delay. Awesome awareness on their part!! As for the food, my boy enjoyed the katsu bowl, as for the chirashi bowls, the fish was at a good cool temperature and the rice was perfectly warm - something that real sushi restaurants understand. For me and my chirashi bowl I don't really care for sushi rice, I prefer plain rice for my donburi, an option I will look for next time we visit - and we will definitely make it a regular stop when we visit Seattle. Various fish was fresh, and in abundance. Nicely done chirashi bowls at a reasonable price.
