This place used to be a staple in my poke rotation. I enjoy all the toppings options. They have a great variety and service is always quick. Last time I went the watermelon radish was horribly bitter and affected the taste of the whole bowl.

FOB Poke seriously delivers when it comes to food--but wow, the location is rough. While we were eating, we got a full-blown live show of drug deals across the street and a series of loud homeless rants. The stretch along 3rd Street reeks of human pee, and when we finished, we made a beeline out of the area. Definitely not somewhere I'd linger. That said, the food was a huge and unexpected win. They have so many options, and everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. The coconut and green tea infused jasmine rice was amazing, and their salmon was super fresh. They offer tons of sauce options--my favorites were the FOB house sauce and the creamy cilantro. And the toppings? Absolutely stacked. The zesty mango was such a unique touch, and I loved that they had seaweed salad, edamame, imitation crab, cucumbers, and more--all included. The only thing that cost extra was avocado, which is totally fair. We ordered 3 bowls for around $40, and we ate every bite happily. If FOB Poke were in a better neighborhood, I'd be here all the time. For now, it's a "get in, get your food, and get out" kind of place--but worth it for the quality.

It has to be one of my more favorite poke places! There's plenty of options and the best part is that they don't charge extra. A lot of poke places charge extra for sauce or toppings, but the only thing extra here is the avocado. It was saucy and flavorful. The only thing is that it is in a bit of an uncomfortable area, we had to park next to a park down the street and immediately had something thrown on the car and a few people in the nude chillin at the park, but that's the only negative. Wish I could come here alone whenever I was craving poke instead of grabbing someone to come with me for safety lol.

Decent poke spot, I really like the topping options and that you can add most of them for no extra charge. I wish that they mixed the bowl a little more since i had to dig past the toppings to get to the fish/rice

Walked over to get an early lunch at around 11 am. There were some people in line but it gave us time to look at their extensive menu. It doesn't limit much except for the number of proteins you get with the size which is pretty generous. We ate it in the restaurant and they had a free miso soup machine as well. Build Your Own Regular Bowl - I got brown rice with green onion, cucumber, FOB poke sauce which I assumed was house sauce with sesame sauce, salmon, seared ahi tuna, edamame, mango, seaweed salad, crabmeat and topped with the wonton strips. All together, everything tasted fresh from the mango to seaweed salad to the big portions of fish that they put in as well as savory and umami from the sauces. For 14.99, this was a massive portion that we were both not able to finish on our own. A great place to get fresh poke with many menu options.

Nothing much to say! Fresh sushi! Self service so pick how much you can eat I would start small then go back for seconds if needed Don't forget about a cold beverage! To wash it down

I loved that toppings were free and unlimited even masago, tamagoyaki, crab meat etc. I got the regular (seared ahi tuna and scallops, $14.99) and thought it was pretty worth it

Delicious poke! Ive reviewed FOB in many other locations, and its always great. We came because the line for FOB sushi was too long, and this was close by. I usually go for the salmon and yellowtail, both of which are super fresh and buttery. They also have so many toppings and I love how you can get both crab salads and also tamago and tons of veggies. A hearty and filling meal that is super delicious and dependable!

FOB Poke Bar I loved this place so much I went twice during my stay in Seattle. FOB Poke Bar isn't in the safest area, so be cautious. The workers are very nice, and the portions are generous. I really enjoyed the FOB rice and appreciated the wide variety of toppings, most of which are free. I got the large bowl both times, with salmon, for 17.99. I really wish this place was in San Francisco. Hope to see this place in SF one day

A no nonsense poke spot in downtown Seattle (I think). Walking to the restaurant can be a trip in and of itself, but the food here is worth it. The regular poke ended up being ~$19 with tax and tip. I liked the unique toppings that you typically can't find at other poke spots like chick peas and whole cherry tomatoes. Definitely would recommend getting the fob rice and fob sauce as they were unique and tasted good.

    My amazing bowl!

It's hard for me to veer from my usual poke spots, but this place just got added to my list! They have TONS of options for toppings and sauces and have the whole menu labeled with gluten free symbols which made it really easy for me to select my options. I was so impressed with their selection and how fun their sauces are! The staff is very friendly and hygienic and got us through the line quickly. The ambiance is lacking for sure- just one or two tables and lots of homeless people outside the door. Would definitely take it to go. I loved my bowl and can't wait to return!

    Wendi K.

I came here after seeing that the line for FOB Sushi Bar was miles long. Most options I have ever seen at a BYO poke spot! Tamago as a topping?! Yes, please! I paid about $15 (after tax) for a regular poke bowl. Their assembly line is maximally efficient! I loved the complimentary miso soup dispenser too. There is a limited amount of seating inside.

We stopped here after an escape room event nearby and each had a poke bowl. I really like their FOB flavored rice as a base and chose the salmon and tuna for my proteins. There are plenty of options for flavors and add ins to complete the bowl. The prices were reasonable and the service was good. I will definitely return here one day.

Thankfully dine-in is back open again, so we got here on a Saturday morning around 11:20am to indoor seating that was nearly full and a small line that was forming at the front counter. Walls have a bunch of photo frames, and overall place felt very homely. They have a ton of Hawaiian style plates and even burgers and some seafood, though we and most others got the former to eat. I ordered their chicken and pork combo Hawaiian style plate, and my bestie got their chicken katsu Hawaiian style plate. Portions are huge for both plates and both also came with macaroni salad. They give you sooooo much meat no matter what you get. To go in slightly more detail: - Chicken and pork combo: both meats were flavored very well, and a little sweet too though pretty salty without using the rice as a palette cleanser. Chicken had more depth in its flavor; the pork's flavor was a little too much for my liking, and was slightly harder to chew. Both meats had some sauce hat went onto the rice itself. This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. Parking is scarce, so plan ahead and be patient. We came on a Wednesday and happened to score a parking spot right in front of the bakery. Once you arrive, get in line immediately--there will be one. The woman taking our order was incredibly peppy and friendly, even while juggling everything: taking in-person orders, answering phones, serving customers, and bagging food. Seriously impressive. All the seats were filled, so we ordered everything to-go. We got the famous crispy ginger chicken, spam musubi, and chicken long rice. I was hoping for oxtail soup and asked about it--she explained they only offer it on certain days and recommended calling early in the morning to check, then getting there quickly because it sells out fast. Can't wait to come back and try it. Back at the hotel, we feasted. The crispy ginger chicken is famous for a reason--so flavorful, perfectly crispy, and somehow even better the next day. The chicken long rice was packed with noodles directly in the soup (not separately) so the broth had mostly soaked into the noodles, but it was still deeply flavorful and comforting. The spam musubi leans on the sweeter side, which is great if that's your thing. Overall, this place is all about heart, hustle, and seriously satisfying Hawaiian comfort food. Come early, expect a line, plan for parking--and you'll be rewarded.

It seems to be higher quality short grain rice, giving great mouthfeel at first, but then biting into it, the overcooked mushy qualities emerge. The rice is sprinkled with a bit of furikake, adding a briny and savory flavor profile. Two beef patties are set on top, both with seemingly fake grill marks, perhaps indicative of commercial patties. They are homogeneous with a kind of spongy texture, pressed into a puck with a bunch of filler like Japanese hambagu. The beef is somewhat tender, but isn't soft enough to be cut through with a plastic fork. There's a fried egg on top, complete with runny yolk and even a small amount of runny white. They then ladle a couple of scoops of Japanese curry over the top. It's somewhat generic, probably a normal boxed curry mix with no embellishment, but it's cooked well. It has a nice thickness, isn't too thin or runny, lending a good curry flavor to the dish. I do with it came with a bit more curry since after eating about half the dish, it was all gone. Finally, some pickled ginger on top completes the dish. The curry is quite filling, probably close to 2 pounds of food. (4/5) Musubi Kai is a convenient and quick stop for a bite while downtown. Also, all the different flavors of poké were seasoned PERFECTLY. I got the spicy salmon and the scallop poke. They were both buttery and tender. The flavors did not overtake the natural flavor of the fish, and the sauce was seeped deep into the salmon; the same goes for the scallop.
