I've been wanting to try Patrick's Cafe & Bakery for sometime now and finally got the chance. We enjoyed the Hawaiian Plate and the Kimchi Fried Rice. I really enjoyed the lau lau and hubby loved the fried rice. Patrick is so friendly and welcoming. The dessert case was tempting, including all the sweet treats surrounding it. I'm accustomed to the Lilikoi shortbread cookies and know the various spots to get those already. Will be back to the south end soon to try the other menu items! read more

Last time we had Patrick's food was in June when he catered for our 40th anniversary. Today we were at a Pokémon tournament since early morning. Patrick's is only 17 miles away from the convention center. So of course we had to go. As soon as we walked in Patrick greeted us, and gave me a hug. Thanking us for visiting today. They were totally out of lau lau. Patrick said call next time and they wil save it for me. So I ordered chicken long rice my usual. It hit the spot since I've been sick all week. We also got too much desserts. All good but that guava cake is delish. Place closes at 3pm, we got there at 1pm and the place was still hopping with happy people. What a great find! Was in White Center meeting up with a friend after a walk in Lincoln Park & we decided to try Patrick's. Small bungalow turned into a restaurant. Cute vibes with butter art, plants and cozy home feel. Seating is small scale (3x4 tops and 3x2 tops). You can order at the counter and find a seat. Coffee and water are self serve. Friendly and customer focused staff, daily specials and a pastry display so welcoming you want to try everything! Friend ordered the biscuits and gravy with a pineapple scone. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon. Both of us loved the food and agreed that the portions were enough for two meals. Patrick's cafe is a neighborhood staple and a must try. From the moment you step inside the environment feels incredibly homey. I love how friendly everyone is and every time we go Patrick's there connecting with everyone. I absolutely love this!! The food is tasty, healing and feels like a warm hug. You can tell it's handmade with care and love. My favorite thing is their Chicken Long Rice soup. The chicken is tender and the broth is so light. I just realized I haven't reviewed this spot yet which is huge shame as we had an amazing meal here! We wanted to stop by as we saw they were pet friendly and as we were trying to get settled outside, a nice female employee let us know that we can come inside with our fur baby. We were so surprised as we are used to sitting out at eating establishments, we were hesitant at first but we decided to go in as it would be nice to dine inside with our dog. As we got seated, we were handed menus and water as well as a water bowl for our dog. We decided to get the full order of biscuits and gravy and loco moco. The food came out piping out and packed with flavor. I was impressed with how savory and big my biscuits and gravy were. My boyfriend and I both agreed that the loco moco was one of the best ones we've had! I love that they have hand sanitizer on tables, as well as different hot sauces. Went to Patrick's Café about 1 PM. There's a lot of street parking nearby. There's also indoor and outdoor seating. The servers were very friendly and it wasn't too busy when I went. The food came out promptly. I ordered the moco Loco, I like the char on the patty. It came with a lot of rice and gravy, and also some grilled onions. CATERING review, as I haven't had the pleasure of going in for a personal meal. Pat was very responsive by email, and I've never seen more cheerful people so early in the morning when I picked up! Food was great- the chicken thighs were very fatty, so keep in mind in case you'd prefer the breasts. The salad was a last minute decision but is totally worth it- it was a personal favorite of mine out of all the food. No heating racks are included, if you are needing them. read more

If there was ever an award for the cutest mom and pop Hawaiian fusion spot it's Patrick's Cafe. We stumbled upon Patrick's Cafe and Bakery and now it's a favorite top spot. It's a small house and offers local Hawaiian food from coconut cake, loco moco and Mac salad. We decided to order the Kuala Pork (we normally stay away from pork) however the lady was saying it was a favorite and we couldn't say no. It was with cabbage and rice and a side of Mac salad. I will be dreaming about the Mac salad. We weren't able to try the bakery portion but I can 100 percent guarantee we will be back! Came by for a Hawaiian meal, unfortunately I didn't get the true Hawaiian portion size meal... OK, I was extremely excited to try Patrick's and when the opportunity presented itself I came for some grindz.... No the place was nice and had even an outdoor dining area but I sat inside.... A gentleman assisted taking my order which was hamburger steak & gravy a simple delight. Yet my issue wasn't the flavor it was the micro burger patty for $15 I received in return! This burger was so sad and was literately the size of a slider no bigger than 2 or 3 inches in diameter... Defiantly disappointed in portion control sized meal... I guess my dream was larger than my meal... Let's just say Bidenomics has played apart in these sized portions. In fact I don't ever recall dining at a Hawaiian place where I walked away hungry till today.... Now on a bright the pasty's looked amazing and I will try in the future. read more

I can always count on Patrick to make me the food I need, whether it's egg foo young, Portuguese sausage, eggs, and rice, or a fresh turkey croissant sandwich for lunch. Friend & I had one of the specials of the day, meat loaf loco moco. Unfortunately, I should have ordered the regular loco moco bcz the meat loaf (except for shredded carrots) was just ground beef. It apparently is made to order & the meat loaf is pan fried. But, the slices are so thin that pan frying resulted in hard crusty meat loaf. Even smothered in gravy didn't save it. Next time we'll try something else. We ordered quite a few of their baked goods...scones, lilikoi shortbread, chocolate mac nut cookies, cinnamon rolls (haupia & regular), guava cake, etc., which were all tasty. We liked the casual atmosphere with a few inside tables & more outdoor seating under umbrellas & shade trees. It was obvious there were many return customers. I was back in the beautiful PNW, specifically Seattle. Had to go to my little bakery house on the corner of 15th Ave SW "Patrick's Cafe & Bakery". I went as they opened up because it can get pretty busy if you don't have time to wait. They were moving things around to make more room for seating and displays of all their bakery items. Tis the season everyone! They are bringing out all their seasonal holiday cookies and pies. I bought their Snowball Walnut Cookies-omg these things were absolutely mouth watering, I mean I couldn't get enough. They were big bites, It was delicate when you bit into them and the powdered sugar all over your mouth, lol. I also ordered their Pineapple and Blueberry Scones and another omg. These scones are not heavy or dense. They are semi-firm but light, you see and taste the pineapples or blueberries. "YUM" This is one of their everyday items and this is a must to try! Besides their everyday pastries and their holiday items, I ordered my usual all time favorites the "Kimchi Fried Rice" and "Egg Foo Young" still consistent with their ingredients. Not salty or spicy with just the right amount of seasonings for both. Now unfortunately I must say that this time around I was a little disappointed. I ordered everything to go at around 8am. If I didn't pick up the cookies myself, picked out what was in the bakery display or ordered the hot dishes, the rest was in the hands of the person I ordered from. I ordered musubi's and a cinnamon roll. The musubi had a different taste, actually not much taste at all and they were kinda hard, day old hard. The cinnamon roll was the same. I was a little shock by this, but hey, better me than you. Even with this hiccup, I'll still go back because everything else was just like how I remembered in taste. Consistency is key for me when it comes to the foods I order. I understand change and of course at times there will be new people greeting, serving and cooking. So don't just not stop going to places that might just have one hiccup when you already know what you might be able to change or not order, especially when you know the true vibe of the place. Food is good and service is fast and friendly but the hours they run are very weird, used to come here multiple times a week but seems there constantly changing schedules and stuff. This place is lovely. When you enter their shop you're immediately hit with scents of coffee and baked goods. The decorum definitely gives a Hawaiian vibe with hand made arts and crafts on the wall and benches for seats. Friendly and courteous staff. Their egg foo young is hearty with nice pieces of meats and vegetables thrown into it; there is a generous amount of white rice includes. My wife got their chili; while a tad salty, it balances well with rice and a runny egg. All the pastries are wonderful and tasted fresh. I practically inhaled their chocolate chip cookies. May 2, 2025 11am First time here and was a little disappointed with the guy that helped me because he had the opportunity to turn a $20 sale into something bigger by making an suggestion other than, we have smaller bags if you want (cookies) or even offer a sample... A sample cookie could have turned into a bigger sale for them .... I did try their BREAKFAST BURRITO and I felt it was more tortilla than filling, the filling was good but the ratio wasnt right to the tortilla... But I was good, just wish it had more filling ... Got some assorted cake slices from the bakery to have as dessert for a family dinner that night. The options were super unique but very appealing for all audiences and taste preferences. All three cakes held up very well in the fridge and were very flavorful. I loved the cream in these as they were very sturdy, not too sweet, and very creamy.
