A few days after I told them to proceed, they called to tell me that they forgot to include some parts in the initial quote and that the new price would be $1790.02. When I came to pick up the car several days later, I was further stuck with a non-cash fee of $62.65. I can't believe that businesses operate like this...charging fees for paying with a credit card without disclosing that from the beginning. On top of all of that, the repair was subpar to say the least. It was unprofessionally done; they probably put too much bondo on the area and when I came to pick it up, it was all cracked. I showed it to one of the employees and he acknowledged that it was not done properly. I asked to talk to the owner, but was told he was not available. In early October I conducted a nationwide search for a 2013-2017 used Toyota Prius V 5 with lower mileage. I located a 2013 Toyota Prius V 5 on CarGurus.com with less than 50,000 miles being offered by Five Brothers Auto Sales LLC in Roswell, GA. The online photos of the exterior of the car did not show any scratches, dents, or dings and the CarFax report showed no accidents. After much communication with Winston McCord, Saleman of Five Brothers, he sent me videos of the exterior and interior of the car. Based upon all shared information plus Winston's touting of the car, I decided to make the purchase on October 17, 2025. Nowhere in the shared photos or videos was any exterior or interior damage visible. Nor did Winston mention the car had been involved in an accident. On Sunday, October 19, 2025, the 2013 Toyota Prius V 5 (VIN: JTDN3EU0D3243463) was delivered to my IL residence via car transporter. Immediately, it was clear to see the car's exterior body contains scratches and dents in several places on the front, back and sides of the car. The windshield is scratched from wipers being operated without rubber blades. The rear quarter panel has been involved in the accident and the body repair was poorly done with visible paint overspray. This car was absolutely FALSELY promoted/advertised for sale to me. In addition to ALL the exterior body damage and unreported damage caused by an accident PLUS interior damage, I had the car fully inspected by Cooper Service (a reputable and well know repair business in Orland Park, IL http://cooperservice.com) and learned the car has the following mechanical problems: 1) There is fault in the steering angle sensor, open in the Squib circuit which is the "clock spring" in the steering column. Codes: C1231, B1801, B1811, U0293, B278C stored. $1,000.00 repair 2) (3) TPM sensors must be replaced. (maintenance light is lit on the dash. I specifically asked you about this maintenance light being lit on dash BEFORE purchasing the car and you said the light was lit due to low time pressure. You said you would address the issue prior to the car being shipped to me in IL). $500.00 repair to replace sensors with OEM parts I have contacted Winston McCord, Salesman and Ferida Tashtanova, Sales Manager of Five Brothers Auto Sales LLC seeking a FULL REFUND of $15,500 paid for the car. Both have refused my request and they refuse to rectify. I have placed a phone call to the dealership seeking a conversation with the owner or owners of Five Brothers Auto Sales LLC yet have not received a return phone call. I have NO interest in this car in its current condition and I prefer a complete refund of my $15,500.00.
