Originally I was beyond pleased. They were able to get me in same day due to an engine light. I had already ran my engine and knew it was an ignition coil. I paid 202$ to have them run a "full diagnostic". Turns out they simply checked one coil and recommended replacing all but still noted only coil one was faulty and required immediate attention. This cost me over 900$ The next day my light came back on and was showing engine coil 2 was now experiencing an issue. I confirmed they never tested the other 3 coils even though I paid 202$ for a diagnostic review. Instead they took the easy way out - charged for a full diagnostic and only did a portion then just recommend all coils get changed for 1800$ instead of actually identifying the issue and that two of four coils were bad. They then also planned to charge me labor to change the other coil that should have been tested and changed the first time. Long story short I was able to buy coils and replace them MYSELF. It cost 65$ will never recommend this place to anyone. Next time you run a diagnostic for someone check all coils and don't just try to charge them for 4 nothing only 1 is bad when 2 in fact needed attention which you would know if you had completed the diagnostic fully. You should be ashamed to charge someone for a diagnostic service to half ass it. To me that is fraud and the biggest waste of 202$. I understand coils, spark plugs and labor are costly if done at a shop which is not where my issue is. read more

On December 14, 2025 I brought my 2020 Genesis G70 3.3 T with 39,000 miles on it into Roswell Auto Center for a front brake repair. I did this at the Recommendation of a close friend. On December 16, 2025 Carl, the manager and owner, or so I thought, called me and said my car was involved in an accident on his property while under his care. He said the brakes had failed after being repaired and the tech backed the car into another. He kept apologizing and assured me the car would be repaired to the same mint condition as I brought it in. He even gave me his personal cell number so I could be kept updated on the repair progress. The car was brought to Sun Valley Collision , where Carl said he gets all his personal work done. Six weeks later the car was declared a total loss. At that point Carl basically ghosted me. When it first declared a total loss, I went to the shop and he told to me deal with the insurance company. After two months of fighting with the insurance company I was forced to accept a lower offer than my car was worth ( the insurance company informed that they would stop paying for my rental and storage fees on February 1,2026). I purchased a used vehicle for more than I received from the insurance company. All I want is for Roswell Auto to make up the difference and make me whole. To this point, crickets. Carl doesn't answer his phone and ignores my text. My wife even went to talk to him and he basically said it's up to the owner. The owner happens to be his Dad. I could never and would never recommend this place for any kind of repair because of their terrible customer service and obviously poor mechanical skills. I just read Phil Hughes response to my first review. Phil, shame on you. You know that is not what happened. I was the one who called the Roswell Police to make sure a report was filled out on the destruction of my car that happened at your facility. I never threatened anyone or any employee. I admit I was very angry but I never threatened anyone. I said I could severely damage your business with an honest review of what happened. I happen to have the Police report and there is no mention of me threatening anyone. I did in fact provide your insurance company with a comparable car, same year, same make,same model with the same low mileage. They only raised the settlement amount a few hundred dollars. I wanted to hold out for more but was told by your insurance company that as of February 1, they would no longer pay for the care rental and that the storage fees at Sun Valley Collision would be my responsibility. So I settled for less than I should have. As a business owner you should know better than anyone one that nothing is more important than your reputation. I owned a business for thirty years and I never allowed anyone to walk out unhappy. There is an old saying. It takes 10 customers talking good about you to undo one customer talking bad. You can still do the right thing and pay the $ 2860 price difference. You know it's the right thing to do. read more

I was recommended to go here by a friend. I never going back again. My car wouldn't start and my check engine light was on. I towed it over to see what was wrong with it. I called them morning of to see if they had my car and was told my car was never there. End up having to call the towing company and somehow they found it. That should have been red flag one. They tell me that the only thing wrong with my car was my spark plug and engine flooding and I gave them the go ahead. When I go to pick up the car, my check engine light is still on and my car is stuttering when I press on the gas. I take it back immediately after paying and tell them something is still wrong with my car and they then proceed to tell me otherwise after checking it out again. When I get into my car the next time my engine light is now turned off by them. I take my car back and no even 24hrs later it won't start again. I take it to another mechanic and it turns out it was my entire timing system that was the issue, and if they would have checked the check engine like correctly it would have told them this fact. They took $400 from me and are now running me in circles to get a refund. When my I literally had to drop $4,000 to get it repaired and fixed by someone else. I do not recommend going to this place. They will take advantage of new customers. Never going back ever again. read more

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but our experience at this business was terrible. We took our 2019 Lexus in for an annual emissions test in late January, and the owner himself was conducting the tests--which you'd expect to mean a certain level of expertise and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. He struggled to find my odometer reading and couldn't get his equipment to establish a proper connection. At one point, he even needed my husband to press enter on the screen because he was unable to get his system to function correctly. When the test came back FAILED, he simply said it was our issue to figure out and offered no assistance. We paid the $25 fee and took the car to another emissions testing location, where it passed without any issues. The technician at the second location immediately noticed that they even entered the wrong odometer reading in the system, which he had to correct. He said we should have never been charged for a test failure caused by faulty equipment or improper procedure. When my husband returned to address the issue with the owner, he refused to refund our $25, despite the failure was due to his own error or equipment issues. We found his response unethical, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. Even the second location's technician was so concerned that they reported him to the state. Had the owner simply acknowledged his mistake and refunded the money, we might have walked away with some level of respect. Instead, we feel obligated to warn others--this is not a business I would ever trust or recommend. If they can't properly conduct a basic emissions test, I certainly wouldn't trust them with anything else involving my vehicle. read more

Honest, fair, value and quality perfection is still an option in 2024, and ruin find it right here at Roswell Auto Center. Intelligence too as they split the oil chance and basic service on a first come first served basis from the more complex car maintenance and work. The team, from the local celebrity Randall to the awesome mechanics, front desk and everybody else do a genuine effort (and succeed) in making sensible suggestions on the issue and help where they can. Topping off coolant, suggesting to keep an eye on the oil under the car after being parked, etc and their overall very reasonable pricing and excellent service this is the only garage to ever visit and honor. At this point, I do not trust these mechanics to do the right thing, I went in to get my starter replaced, in which they did but, I drive off with my transmission making hard transitions into the next gear. my transmission was working perfectly before dropping it off. I don't write negative use lightly, but when something is so obvious, there needs to be a caution statement. I did call them and ask if they serviced the transmission but I got the anticipated answer of "no" but it was worth at least asking. They know what they did. I took a Honda Pilot there for a pre-purchase inspection. They took their time to ensure everything was checked properly. I took the car to the dealer who fixed what had been wrong. I took the car back for them to ensure it was fixed, they checked it again and did not charge me a dime. they were very friendly and professional. Their pre-purchase inspection is $60 which is way better than many places around the area. I will definitely recommend them and will do business with them again. read more

I dropped my car off early in the morning, asking for an oil change and to check the brakes and trunk lid support. Got a call before noon saying my car is done. Asked if they had checked the brakes and the trunk lid; "No I didn't check the work order." Called them back at noon the next day - still hadn't checked the brakes or truck lid. A couple of calls later, the brake check STILL had not been completed, but I was given 4 estimates of cost based on what work might be needed. I asked for a final diagnosis and firm estimate before the work was to begin. At the end of the (second) day, I was told that the pads had all been replaced, the from rotors turned, and the rear rotors ordered. No request for approval, no cost estimate. Trunk lid supports could be ordered, but would take 2-4 days. Finished work at 10:30 on the third day. Cost exceeded highest estimate. Not impressed. read more

Maybe this should really be a review of my Ford Ranger, but about 12 years ago I had a significant oil leak develop in my '96. RAC replaced the engine seals and to date it's the only engine work I've ever had done. I'm now closing in on 230,000 miles on that thing, so I guess they do good work. Or did good work. Either way, I can't complain. I've been saying for years that next time I need serious maintenance done this is where I'm going, but unfortunately for them their work continues to hold up. read more

I have to say that my experience here today was great. First, I was warmly greeted when I stepped through the door. I took my car because I was hearing some noises when I would brake, so I wanted them to check it out for me and I needed an oil change. Guess what? They told me that my brakes were just fine. Perhaps it was just some dust or the material from the brakes pads, but that my brakes looked good. WOW! I have always believed in my heart of hearts that even if you brought in a brand new car that has never been driven, a mechanic is going to tell you you need a whole new transmission. I believed that an oath is taken that states they must tell the customer that something is wrong and they have to over charge for whatever it is whether there's a problem with the car or not. I was shocked to hear that my brakes are fine. I was also very pleased and will be referring this place to anyone I know who needs repairs. I left paying $30 for my oil change and this is cheaper then where I regularly go. I will be a returning and referring customer! read more

I drive a Volkswagen, and it was always difficult to find someone who would agree to work on it--the place around the corner from me (where I used to get my oil changed on a regular basis) even shied away from changing the brake light for me. I ended up at Roswell Auto Center because I had heard that they worked on Volkswagens, and I have been extremely pleased by the service I've received there. The people are very friendly, everything has always been completed in a timely matter, and I've found the prices to be extremely reasonable. One time I got my oil changed and four bulbs replaced and it only cost me a little over $40. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and I certainly plan to have all of my future car care done here. read more

The only negative issue is they did not complete the work in the timeframe they said they would and made no effort to keep me informed of the work status once the allotted time had passed. I went here based on another yelp review and was super disappointed! I had a standard oil change, and I asked them if they could check the brake fluid because that light had come on. Well, they finish in about 30 minutes, and as I pay I see they charged me $15 to check the brake fluid....WTF?!? So I ended up paying almost $70 for a standard oil change. I found RAC over 13 years ago after reading a Yelp review that a customer was relieved at how honest they were about their car maintenance/repair needs, telling the customer how little they really needed to spend to fix the problem.
