There are so many Korean Fried Chicken in the Queens area. This is the newer Pelicana Chicken in the Bayside area and the restaurant is pretty clean. It is in a busier location so there isn't a parking lot so you would have to park and walk to the restaurant most likely. This is one of my go to spots for Korean fried chicken in the local bayside/flushing area. The staff is friendly and if you go on your birthday, you get a free whole chicken! The only thing I would criticize is that you have to pay if you want sauce on your chicken. I wish that wasn't a thing and sauce was included. The pelicana sauce is sweet and tangy. The soy garlic is what you would expect. The snowing cheese is quite fun like if chicken was covered in Cheetos powder. Definitely a great spot to dine in or take out. Everything is fresh. read more

Great place to go for Korean Fried Chicken! Lots of space for big parties. I really liked their chicken because it had great taste and texture. We got the platter and an extra order of wings, split between 4 people, and it really filled us up. The space is kept very clean and the staff was great! We came during lunch on a Sunday and the seats filled up pretty quickly. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and several of the orders were incorrect. My mom wanted to come here since it opened. We finally brought here here yesterday for her burthday. She truly enjoyed herself and loved everything. The crispy batter on the wings was very tasty. The Level 3 for sweet and spicy was way too spicy for me, but it still amazing taste. Everything else also a nice sauce flavor. We ordered a variety of dishes and we were not dissapointed. The spicy beef dumplings were delicious that it was gone in a flash. My mom enjoyed the sides of coleslaw eith the corn in it. Went here on a date and had a nice experience. The music was pleasant. The ambiance was laid back but cute and clean. The place was a bit loud but not at the level that you can't have a conversation. The menu had a lot of variety and the prices were reasonable compared to many spots in manhattan. We were there for hours and at first they kept bothering us to order quickly, but once we ordered they left us alone. The service was good, they made sure to fill our water. Came here on a Wednesday night at around 10 and the place had a few other occupied tables, but more than enough space for our party of 3. As we ate, the place slowly got busier, so I'd say this was a solid spot for a late dinner. The location is a little small as it didn't have too many tables and thus only had one server. She was attentive enough and seemed pretty busy as the night continued - it was hard to get her attention and she wasn't too friendly a lot of the time as when we asked for things, she seemed more annoyed/tired than anything which was a little off-putting, but understandable given she was the only person serving. The menu has a good variety of foods that pair well with fried chicken which is their specialty. The tteokbokki was hard to find, but we were happy when we finally found it (the name on the menu wasn't clear). We got fries, tteokbokki, and thirty wings for three of us which was a good amount of food with a bit of chicken as leftovers. The chicken was pretty delicious and the wings were large in size; I do wish it came with more radish. The tteokbokki had a good variety of ingredients and once it finished cooking in front of us, it was delicious and filled us up easily. The Cajun fries were also pretty solid and came with more than enough sauce which was nice. Overall, I'd gladly come back in the future for fried chicken and their other dishes again; don't expect amazing service, but for what things are priced at the quality of food, this Pelicana is very solid! read more

The scallion sauce was not doing it for me. It was a little pungent and the little container rested atop a bed of scallions. The plain buffalo sauce was--as expected. The fries were crispy and not a hint of soggy sag. The ovado salad was generously sized and there was no brown lettuce. Was hoping for more non-lettuce ingredients. The service was a little on the slow side but not painfully so. I didn't need to send up a flare. The noise was a bit much. It fell into two buckets--first was the frequent delivery folks coming and going as they trudged through the seating area and the other was the music blare. Both were annoying but expected. The lighting was poor to satisfactory and manageable. I found myself heading home from Queens late last night and was quite starving. After a quick search on Yelp I found Pelicana Chicken. Their location is fairly central in Bayside and is right off Northern Blvd, two blocks into Bell and only a couple minutes from the Clearview. My girlfriend and I ordered two different bowls, a Bulgogi over rice and a chicken teriyaki over rice. They each came with a delicious house salad and left you feeling quite satisfied, without feeling overly stuffed. I found out that they have signature flavors and different levels of spicy, I of course got the really spicy one and that one was no joke. You can either get a whole chicken or different parts of it like the wings or the breast. There are various ways of getting it made too with sauce on it or without. First you choose the chicken, then choose your battle, then a signature sauce. There are other items to order such as french fries, salad, chicken sandwiches, soups and the list keeps on going and going... everything was really good! i ordered for delivery -- i got a spicy chicken sandwich and it was freaking pink, wayyyyy too oily/falling apart. i tried to cook it further and it was just getting soggier and the breading was falling off... the cutlet was too thick and it wasn't cooking evenly enough. still pink in the middle... my roommate also got a chicken sandwich, but he got the crispy version (mine was regular fried) and his was fine, only mine was pink. i'm guessing because his was extra crispy they breaded it diff and cooked it longer. hard pass on this spot again, seeing as others have indicated undercooked chicken on seamless (i forgot to check before ordering). womp womp! seamless refunded me. read more
