This has easily become my go-to location for salads since the summer started. I've had their bowls, plates, salads and smoothies and it's always consistent, fresh and tasty. Usually I order ahead of time and my order is always ready and available upon walking in. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to point you to utensils, napkins, bags, etc. For such a busy location, they keep things moving along quickly and they never skimp on quality or portion size. 3.5 Rounded to 4 ​I normally come here in the late afternoon when it's pretty dead, so this was my first time seeing it a bit chaotic and busy. There were a few customers who were being really rude to the staff, which seemed completely uncalled for just because there was a wait. The team seemed a bit short-staffed, but you could tell everyone was working as hard as they could to get the orders out. ​I actually had a little mix-up with my order, but there was one guy working who was just the sweetest. Another girl working there kept yelling out to him about the issue I was having, which felt a bit rude since I was standing right there. It definitely wasn't the best look, but I'm being gracious and overlooking it since I usually never deal with her or that kind of treatment here. Hopefully, she was just filling in for the day. ​Despite that moment, the guy who helped me handled everything perfectly and was super nice about it. pretty sure if I have another sweetgreen salad in this lifetime I'll pass away - so thank goodness for other options with even more expansive menus - not to be that girl but the macros are so much better - I got the Tokyo supergreens with chicken and light miso dressing and MWAH so so much flavor with perfectly ripe vegetables - the chicken was a little dry but I was surprised how far the light dressing took the entire salad. - such good textures with the avocado, edamame, carrots, and furikake - bread should be free btw. I ordered a cilantro lime chicken bowl for delivery and when I opened it, it looks as if someone had already ate some of it. Normally I order from Uber and pick up or delivery but this time I just order in the front and found out this kind of service. I was there on last Tuesday and order Ceasar salad and she did not asked me if I need to add anything in the dish which is I normally add on ingredient when I ordered online. I went right at the end of their grand opening promotion ($5 salads) and walked in to find a bunch of people in line and the employees behind the bar hustling. I mean, really just moving around each other, tossing salads. I thought I was going to have to wait a while, but it went by so quickly because they had someone working the line to write down orders before getting to the salad bar. There was a lady behind me who seemed nice, but was just very confused and making ambiguous statements about what she wanted to order. Let me tell you about the patience this employee had. Later, I complimented the employee on how she managed that situation and how hard she must've been working. Staff is quick with orders & greet you with a smile. Manager Sammy was great! The menu has a mix of bowls, salads, & wraps. Prices range from $12-$15 on average. Salads are decent in size. I usually save half for the next day. Tried the PB protein smoothie. It's not a creamy thick drink like most protein packed smoothies. There are a lot of lunch-salad-bowl places in this part of the neighborhood, so you'd think they're mostly pretty similar. But I've liked Just Salad the best of the ones I've tried. It's just hit the spot better than SweetGreen or Lennys does. Thus far I've only been doing the build-your-own salad option, but my partner really likes several of the pre-made bowls as well. I had an appointment last week at lunch time. Walking home on 7th Ave I passed a place called JUST SALADS. It was a hot and muggy day and I was feeling hungry. Salad sounded like a great idea. I walked in and was greeted by some lovely, conditioned air. There were tables in front and a counter across the back and side of this eatery. The menus that hung over the counter was interesting. They contained some familiar salads and a nice collection of new ones. I ordered a California Cobb salad with chicken. There was an array of salad dressings I could chose from. I was too tired at that point to make a decision, so I just asked for a vinegarette. It came with a slice of bread. The salad ingredients were very fresh and the ratio was just right. I enjoyed my salad and even told myself I could see coming here for lunch on a regular basis. They were also selling a brand of soda I'd never heard of. It was called ollipop and contains probiotics. I will definitely be lunching at JUST SALADS again soon. I liked the food, the staff seemed attentive the atmosphere was like a fast food or take out place. It wasn't crowded, but there was a steady stream of take out customers. There are two things I meant to say but forgot. If you don't want one of the salads on the menu, you can tell the salad maker behind the counter what to put into your bowl to create your own salad. I would also like to thank the young man who served me. When I took a soda from the refrigerator, he told me he had colder ones in the back. He insisted that it was no bother to get me one. When I was leaving I decided to take home a can for later. He did the same thing again, although I'd told him it wasn't important as that can was going straight into my refrigerator. I went to this location on opening day, during their 5$ bowl or wrap deal. Despite the long line of customers (who doesn't want a 5$ lunch?), staff were moving the line quickly while still providing quality service. However, the food was just not for me. I ordered a plant-based chicken wrap, and while made with fresh, quality ingredients, it wasn't at all filling. For the price of the food (on a regular, non-opening day of course), a chicken wrap should be a satisfying lunch. They need to train the rest of staff to use tongs to grab the greens. Instead this person was placing their hands all over the counter, tapping, doesn't change them between, then grabs the lettuce! You can see how dirty their gloves are from my container. Disgusting. This is the 2nd time I went here hoping it would be different...Even if you don't change gloves, tongs should be used to handle the food.
