Last Sunday, I went to the UWS Bareburger location with a sweet tooth. The young Latina lady who facilitated my order (in the PM hours), was warm, welcoming and kind. Maybe it was my imagination, but it felt like she put extra care into making me feel comfortable as well as making my item. Much appreciated! : ) And the shake itself tasted great -- it was so yummy! Now, I'm a matcha gal, so that part wasn't a surprise. But the texture and overall yumminess of the vegan coconut ice cream ideally meeting the matcha was a delightful surprise! : ) It felt like a decadent treat, while still being healthy. This was my first time trying Bareburger and I was impressed. The food was well prepared and tasted good. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. She provided excellent service. The restaurant was quiet for a Tuesday afternoon. I ordered the Standard Burger with French Fries for my entree. The burger tasted good and I enjoyed the fries with ketchup. I've only been to a Bareburger once before and this was my first time at this location. It's a fairly small restaurant but they did an excellent job accommodating all guests. I was shocked at how busy they were. They were continually turning over the tables for the hour and half we were there. They even brought outdoor tables inside (it was way too cold to sit outside)! The staff was great. Super friendly! (Alyssa was one employee who helped us, her name was on check). They have a pretty sizable menu, not just burgers. They've added smash burgers to likely keep up with that trend. They have cheesesteaks, which my friend got, and sandwiches. I got the National burger as a combo with sweet potato fries $20.90 and we got pickle chips $10.95. Pickle chips had a nice breading to them and went well with their ranch dressing. I enjoyed the burger; there was a decent amount of crispy bacon on it. When it came to paying the check we scanned the QR code at the table to pay. Came in for take out. They told me 10 minutes. I think I waited 20 but they were busy so not too bad. And also the people were so nice! I had the standard Wagyu. I should have ordered medium instead of medium rare because when I got home the burger was too rare. I had to put it in the oven. Burger tasted good though. I thought it was pricy though. I went for an early dinner and was immediately greeted warmly by Genesis who is super friendly and kind. She recommended the new Wagyu burger (I also ordered a combination of regular and sweet potato fries) and it was all very delicious. The best burgers in the city. Hands down! Super super juicy patties and very flavorful. Thick crispy onion rings and my daughter said the best sweet potato fries she's had. I agree. I came here recently with a group of friends. I had never been to Bareburger before, but one of my friends has a severe gluten allergy and she's always felt safe eating here. I had the Spicy Paul Bunion Burger (bison patty, habanero pepper jack, pickled jalapeño, raw red onion, spicy mayo) on a brioche bun. I thought it was a little expensive considering it didn't come with a side, but it tasted good. The service was really good given that it's a chain fast-casual restaurant. I've had the amazing fried chicken sandwich and it was so delicious!! Crispy and NOT greasy at all. I had it on a lettuce wrap and the romaine was nice and crisp-not wilted at all from the the sauces that were in the sandwich. The service is great-shoutout to Kat!! She is the best! My coworker and I were in the area and in need of a quick but satisfying lunch. I had dined at the hell's kitchen location previously, so I suggested we give their broadway location a try. After waiting more than 35 minutes for our beverages, I was wishing I had let my coworker talk me into eating at mcdonalds. After the long wait for our drinks, our food arrived not long after. My Sandwich the chicky club (Grilled all-natural chicken, smoked bacon, avocado, organic green leaf, organic tomatoes, mayo, sourdough) was just poor quality, tasted worse than it looked- chicken texture felt like it had been reheated the bread was toasted but cold.. Good Food. Good Service. Good Atmosphere. If you're persing reviews to determine if this is a good place to go, let this be a sign to just go you should not be disappointed. I got a burger, but I was interested in trying bison and elk meat, tried the bison on a standard burger. I'm not sure if it's their standard sauce, or the way they season their meat, but it turned out to be very delicious. It was seasoned in such a way that I wanted to keep eating it after every bite. I also ordered their fries and they have alcohol on the menu. The fries were inoffensive, but the menu is a la carte, so if you're a group of 2+ I feel like you can get away with ordering 1 fry for the group and individual burgers, if you're doing tourist things and hitting the road on foot after eating here. They also have a banana oat milkshake if you look at the menu options, that enticed me so if you want something sweet that's a little uncommon, they have that going for them too. The team is pretty friendly, they checked in on me occasionally without being helicopter-y. I tipped them a 20 and they said "too much!" So they seem humble as well. So give it a try if you're in the area, should be a good use of your money. read more

And there was no explanation or apology for how long the food took. - Dilly Chick ($12+): The buttermilk-fried all-natural chicken was great. But the buns were not warm, even though they were toasted, which just downgraded the sandwich. Bare burger is your typical burger joint and there's nothing wrong with that. I stopped in with a few friends to grab a bite and we all have very different palates and diets. Thankfully, the restaurant featured something for each of us to enjoy. Our waiter John was very helpful and attentive and guided us through the menu options. I chose a Blazin Bacon Burger and shared a side of fries. The burger ate slightly dry but had enough flavor for me to forgive them. The fries were very fresh and delicious. Staying nearby and wanted a change from our pizza / street food we've been eating all week. My burger was good - hot, good flavor, very juicy, nice sharp cheddar, two layers of tomato. My partner's chicken sandwich was meh. One problem was it being two awkwardly shaped, thick pieces of chicken. As soon as she bit into it, the particular piece squirted out the back end of the brioche and ultimately becomes easier to eat with a knife and fork. I live on the same block and had to try this Upper west location. I placed a pickup order through seamless after seeing the 5$ delivery fee. Yikes I ordered the blazin' bacon burger, fries, and a chocolate shake. All items had special requests and everything was followed to a T. Everything came neatly packaged without any spills. What really surprised me was how crispy the fries stayed despite being packed up. I unwrapped my burger and was greeted with a thick delicious patty with all of my favorite toppings. Despite the juicy ness of the burger the bun stayed firm and held together. The shake was delicious. Hard to mess up ice cream and milk. While everything was delicious I thought the experience was a little expensive when you take everything into consideration. A burger, fries and a shake cost 36$ for a pickup order. If I opted to have the order delivered, I would have paid an additional 5 in delivery and 5 or so in tip approaching 50 dollars for essentially a burger, fries and a drink. The same order from shake shack would have cost me 21$, almost half as much as the bareburger order. Was bareburger delicious? Absolutely. Is their food worth paying almost double that of shake shack? A lot of people consider shake shack premium fast food already so, I think bare-burger will be a little too pricy for some. I know this is still pandemic time in NYC, (and this is a prime Broadway location) but us upper west siders are always on the hunt for a deal, and considering the track record of that address on Broadway, I wish bareburger the best of luck serving the upper west side. read more

We were ignored by the waitresses, there were screaming toddlers running around and finally, after being ignored for almost 20 minutes after we sat down, my friend and I got up and left.
