This place infuriates me. On one hand - they have good salad, bowl and wrap options. And they taste great. On the other hand, they are always out of something and the employees are dismissive. My latest run-in with them: I ordered on a Friday night for pickup. I arrived at the pickup time and my order hadn't been started. The employee found it at the printer and began making it on the spot, only to then realize they were out of goat cheese, which for me is a main ingredient in the salad. I told them nevermind, which clearly annoyed him because he started putting the other ingredients in the bowl. I asked for a refund and was told it couldn't be processed in-store. He directed me to go through the app. After speaking to the manage and not getting anywhere, I left without a refund. I proceeded to go back and forth with Guest Relations for 10 days before my refund was issued. It was an extremely frustrating experience. read more

I really liked how the sweet potato added a little sweet bite to the savory flavors. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked. Service was okay. The bathrooms were both closed which was very strange. I am taking my time to write this review because tonight 02/09/26 was hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had at a fast casual restaurant. After my salad was prepared, I wasn't given a fork. I politely got back on line and waited behind a customer who was paying instead of interrupting. The female employee at the register clearly saw me waiting. When the customer finished, she walked away to help someone else, deliberately ignoring me. (It wasn't even busy for her to walk away.) I raised my voice and said, "Excuse me, can I please have a fork?" She continued walking away and completely ignored me, in front of other customers. The disrespect was so obvious that people around me noticed. Another male employee had to step in because he himself was shocked that she ignored me. He immediately handed me a fork. As I walked away, I looked back and saw him explaining to her what she had just done and she smirked. That smirk told me everything I needed to know. This was my first real meal of the day after a long day of work and appointments, and being treated like an inconvenience over a basic utensil was infuriating, and then smiling about the fact that she did that! I've never been made to feel so dismissed and disrespected in a food establishment. Management: do better. Train your staff, hire people who understand basic human decency, and don't allow employees who openly ignore customers to work the register. Someone with that attitude has no business in customer service. Not surprised this location was practically empty while the establishment next door was packed. Stopped by here on November 8th in the afternoon for some salad after shopping by the nearby mall. The line was a bit slow since it was just one girl working. I saw the girl make a few mistakes with the customers ahead of me in which the customer said "long day huh". Which she laughed off. I get it, we all been there. By the time it was my turn the girl seemed out of it. She did her best but you can tell she was annoyed she had to deal with the line by herself. Nonetheless, my salad came out great. Based on today's experience, I do prefer other locations as the service here left a bit much to be desired. The vibe just felt off and very low energy. The person who seemed like the shift manager just seemed rather disengaged and employee working along her, she seemed well, a bit confused. Perhaps it was her first day or she's new. Out of all these healthy salad eateries, the decor and food at Just Salad is my favorite. Love the soothing misty blue tiles and beechwood chairs/tables. The compostable bowls they serve are better shaped than Chopt's long conical bowls where you can't see at first if all the ingredients have been added properly. Totally suggest that you try the Edamame Crunch Warm Bowl with organic sesame tofu and replace arugula with Super Greens Blend and added black lentil (super healthy, loaded with fiber). I also added kale pesto vinaigrette, Brooklyn Best Unsweetened Peach Tea and also an Andy's Amazing Chocolate Chunk Cookie (so good!). The cookie had chunks of chocolate and tasted as if it were homemade! I wish they made a really good brownie like Chopt, too! They did mess up on my order by adding the almonds which I requested they remove, forgot to add the crispy onions and the shredded red cabbage with my Super Green Blend. Make sure to add the side order of bread since it's also very good. Stay away from the subpar Green Detox Smoothie and all of their fountain drinks need improvement, way too sugary tasting. You can find a better half lemonade + unsweetened tea beverage at a McDonald's. It really gets busy here during lunchtime, especially around the holidays! Just Salad's name is misleading since this is not just an ordinary salad. They make a heck of a good healthful meal, all while being environmentally conscious. First off, the place is immaculately clean, super bright, and welcoming. We were greeted by the incredibly friendly Kevin who walked me through the menu, suggested his favorite, and told us more about the mission of the business. The staff was all super friendly and fast, answering questions and filling and mixing up our salads. They were extra accommodating with some of the substitutions I made, which was definitely appreciated. Every ingredient was fresh, and the combinations they picked out worked really well together. One time I went for the Crispy Chicken Poblano which was absolutely delicious. I was worried the ranch dressing would be too overwhelming but it was actually nice and light. Another time I went for a custom salad which was absolutely fantastic. I also tried out their homemade cucumber mint lemonade, which was really refreshing. Their environmental focus was a nice bonus. Their utensils are reusable and compostable, offer a $1 reusable bowl you can buy and bring back which gets you a free extra salad ingredient every time. Came in tonight for a yelp event and was happily surprised. First off, Just Salad differentiates itself by being sustainable and fresh. They reward you if you bring in the bowl with a free topping. Now that's encouragement. Secondly, the salad is fresh. I did not find a single discolored leaf in the order. That is impressive. I feel that in itself says a lot about the employees and the business. The salad dressing was robust and the lemonade was not overly sweet. This is very different from a Chipotle. It's not. They are all about a fresh and clean salad. Not a meal that will make you fall asleep in a food coma. We are talking about a healthy meal. Lastly, the employees behind the counter are great. Proper training by management and great service which tells me the leadership in this brand makes the effort to deliver a better product. This is not a McDonald's fast food line. The store is is clean and spacious allowing for great ambient light from outside with a refreshing decor. By the way, if you do not ask for forks or napkins, they will not be given. Today, we tried a new fast casual restaurant Just Salad. It shares a building with Cava so the entrance into it is on side. They have seasonal offerings as well as their standards and you can create your own bowl. For an extra $1, you can order it with a reusable blue Just Salad bowl. My hubby had the seasonal bowl Cilantro Lime Chicken which he devoured and I had the Warm Chicken Thigh + Goat Cheese which was also really good. There was a decent amount of seating. When this location opened up right by my job I was SO excited. Unfortunately, I tried it today for the first time and was super disappointed. I had placed my order at around 12:10 pm for pickup. The earliest pick up time they had was 12:28 pm however, I wasn't on break till 12:30 so I chose the next time which was 12:40. I walked in at 12:42 expecting to see my order on the pick up shelf and grab it quickly and go, but this wasn't the case. I waited an additional almost 15 minutes for my order to be ready. This was 15 precious minutes of my very short lunch break wasted. They seemed pretty backed up/overwhelmed. If you can't keep up with the number of order ahead orders, than maybe you shouldn't offer the option. A lot of customers come in during their lunch break and need to quickly be in and out which is why they placed an 'order ahead' to begin with. I finally get my order which was the Tandoori Fire Salad and drive back quickly to my job so that I can eat only to find they had forgotten my chicken. The salad itself was tasty, but how in the world do you leave out the main ingredient? At this point I was extremely frustrated. I wasted 15 extra minutes waiting for my order for it to not even be made correctly most likely because they were running around frantically to fulfill orders for everyone that was waiting. Finally Just Salad has come to Long Island! Large location (I mean any location is large compared to the city) but in the worst LI parking lot known to man. Staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of tables and chairs if you want to sit and eat. We took our order to go as it was later in the evening and they would be closing soon. Menu is what you'd expect at any other Just Salad location. You can also order online or use TGTG. We went to Cava and the line was really long. We started talking to the girl behind us and she said they were two restaurants in this building and the second one was just salads. It was around the corner. It had no line so we decided to go there. I'm so happy we did. The salads were absolutely delicious. My daughter got a keto salad and I got a warm chicken and goat cheese bowl. They're really good about letting you switch things around. If you don't like one topping, it's easy to put something else in this place. They were very helpful and patient. The restaurant is very conservation friendly. For a dollar you can buy a plastic bowl and bring it back with you every time you come. Then you get one premium item for free for reusing the bowl. I'm pretty sure my bowl is going to get a lot of use. My only problems would be that the menu needs a couple of child friendly items and the drinks are room temperature. Everything at the location is good I guess but when I have to compare it to the others it's down in service. The person who was preparing my order made the salad but my bowl is half empty. The other location will follow the bowl to the second rim if not to the rim before closing it off. Also my container wasn't closed properly so half the sauce was spilling out of the container and got dirty from it. I didn't receive any utensils to eat my salad with. Just the bowl and a bag to go with. The interaction with the customer wasn't there at all. I have to give it a 3 star because I love just salad as it's the only place I'll go to get a salad.
