I was given a quote on the phone for a 40 gallon , GAS water heater installation of $1250.00 to $1350.00. Alan showed up on time, installed the new water heater, hauled the old one away....and we are done! I called several companies in Tucson and the range in price for the same thing was 2,000 to 4,000 dollars installed. That seemed high...(really high). I priced water heaters (gas) and the range was 500 to 600 dollars for a water heater. I get a company has to make a profit, but a company that charges reasonable prices will get me telling EVERYONE I know, and writing reviews. Well done Just Water Heaters.........well done. Highly recommend. These guys are quick, inexpensive and do very good work. I called after our water heater failed. They made an appointment for the very next day. They came, removed the old water heater, replaced with a new one and gone in about 1-1/2 hours. They even provide you with info to schedule an inspection with the city. This is just crazy! We discovered our water heater was leaking at 5am. A cheap little water leak detector was sounding off. I called Just Water Heaters at 7am and they were at my front door 4 hours later. Incredible. Hard to believe there really are service providers like this business. Robert had our new water heater up and running in about 90 minutes. The end price was very reasonable for what they did. My neighbor saw their truck in the driveway and asked if I would recommend them. Pretty sure I'll be seeing that same truck next door next week. Be sure to purchase a little water leak detector. Got mine on Amazon for about 10 bucks. They use a standard 9 volt battery. If this device hadn't alerted us about the leak, we probably would not of discovered it until after a lot a damage was already done to the drywall, the garage floor and the pedestal that the tank sat on top of (and a problem with drywall mold $$$$$$$$$). Called Just Water Heaters Tucson about replacing an old water heater, it was working, but I was concerned it might fail. I have had one leak everywhere unexpectedly before, wanted to avoid that risk. They walked me through the pricing on the phone, including the additional costs for any code upgrades, all while I was looking at and describing them the existing heater install. They scheduled me for a few days later, and showed up on time. Once here they explained the code upgrades needed and additional costs (already had an idea of this from the scheduling call), they helped find the circuit for the water heater (it wasn't labeled), and got it labeled properly. Price was fair and they were very transparent about the additional fees, so there were no surprises. Everything you could possibly want when you have to replace your water heater -- a straightforward quote, a commitment to customer service, NO HIDDEN COSTS (Pima County requires a permit to replace a water heat; the cost of the permit -- $123 -- is included in the quote), and guys who know what they're doing. I called on a Friday. It was not an emergency. I took pictures of the current installation and sent them via text to the proprietor. He said he could be out on Tuesday at 9am. Roberto and Alan did a great job for us. They use top-notch water heaters from Bradford White, and also replaced our hot water recirculation pump. We had a bit of an issue initially, and they came out the next day (on a Saturday, no less) to make sure it was fixed. They also identified that our water pressure was too high, which was likely causing a bunch of the other problems with our plumbing in the house we've experienced over the last year. Interestingly, we've had 4 other plumbers at our house to fix those other issues but none had found the underlying problem. We had a quote from another plumber who stated that our recirculation pump was installed incorrectly, and they couldn't figure out how to replace it, and just suggested changing our water heater instead. Roberto identified that the pump was correct, just burnt out, and his quote for replacing everything was literally less than half of the quote of the initial plumber (which was for a lesser quality water heater as well). Just Water Heaters came out and did it for $1350. They have excellent customer service and Jesse did an awesome job installing it. I would highly recommend them. Frank and his team at Just Water Heaters have absolutely perfected their craft! Like many, I shopped around for a water heater replacement company and saw the great reviews here. Luckily, I had time on my hands as this wasn't an emergency replacement. I learned quite a lot from Frank and his team. I originally called Frank for a quote and we talked about pricing and what his installs include, which is basically everything, including the permit. By the way...the permit is absolutely legally required. Steer away from the companies that tell you, "it's a customer option or request"...it's not. If you don't have the permit and something happens to your heater later and/or it causes other damage, you'll likely be in a big bind. Regardless, I shopped around and Just Water Heaters was by far the best value and included a high quality water heater so I scheduled them to come out. Frank took the time to explain some characteristics and industry-specific facts about water heaters including warranty options, realistic life span, and other key points. They only do water heaters, as the name implies, so he's got a fairly flexible schedule and was able to come out in 2 days. I assume, from his professionalism and commitment to quality, that he probably could've come out immediately if it was an emergency. Jeremy and Jacob were the technicians on the job and I was very impressed at how professional, patient, and courteous they both were. Unlike a lot of service industry jobs that often are rushed to get to the next job, these guys took the time needed to ensure a quality job was done. They were very efficient, but definitely had an attention to detail on ensuring all the water and gas lines were fitted properly, routed, and everything was cleaned up after the job.
