The practice is located in a small business shopping center. Bev and the front office team do a great job with check-in and out, insurance, etc., and make the process efficient and seamless. Dr.York, the hygienist, and the rest of the dental team are very pleasant and make the ordeal of a dental visit as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend it.

This is a long one... August 19th - Went in for a cleaning…read more After extensive x-rays, I needed 2 crowns. OK. They drilled and did whatever dentists do. They took molds & more X-rays. Set an appointment to have crowns installed. Received a call a few days later & was told that a root canal was now necessary. I asked how & why. The dentist told me that she just looked at the X-rays... I said, why 3 days later, to which I didn't receive a sufficient answer. Well, let's get the root canal scheduled. Referred me to Champagne Dental who had no idea who I was. Scheduled procedure and got a call the next day asking if I was going to schedule... what? Went to another Dr and got my root canal that evening - August 25th - Well done! Had an appointment scheduled - September 2 - to have the crowns installed and the told me that it needed to be changed due to the unavailability of the dentist - maternity leave - of course no one said anything to me when I scheduled with them. So now they have given me over to a new dentist to do the crowns. The new dentist is my dentist's husband! September 2 - Well, the technician assigned to assist damaged a tooth while removing a temporary crown! So get one put on and have to reschedule for the second crown... Now it's 2 days before my appointment - September 16 - for my final crown, only to receive a message that the dentist (husband) will not be available because of his wife's maternity leave. I received a text telling me that my new crown appointment is scheduled for September 22... After the tech made an error, the dentist reassured me that there would not be an office visit charge... How Nice! It's 43 miles one way from my home to the office, so 86 miles round trip. I get 13 mpg = 6.62 gallons per trip @ $7.19 / gallon = $51.57 per visit. Hardly makes sense to keep seeing this practice. This might continue because they're not finished yet!

The…read moreoffice staff was so accommodating and easy going to make appointments for myself and my 2 girls when we all carry different insurances. This is a family run business by a dentist that actually cares and has a trustworthy bedside manner. We left our previous practice over questionable billing practices and ultimately a lack of trust in their information and care. That previous practice told me my two girls had cavities. I was kind of shocked because of their oral health and this being a first. Cut to 9 months later at this practice and both of my girls get their cleaning and x-rays and have no cavities! The issue that is extremely upsetting, but has absolutely nothing to do with this provider is that my six-year-old daughter already got a filling at the previous practice under their declaration that she had a cavity and now visiting Dr. DePaoli, I really believe that she didn't have one at all, but that is another matter and I'm just so grateful to have found somebody that's honest and personable. I live in downtown Reno and travel to Sparks for this peace of mind.

I'm confused as to why they would schedule me for the first service if it was pointless without the other service? Just tell me during the phone call that I need to do the other service before the consult! I also asked if I would be able to get a generalized quote and timeline for the procedures for my teeth and this coordinator said, "oh no that's not an option. We are not just looking at one tooth. This is your whole mouth, there's a process to it and you're not his only patient." Absolutely the worst experience. Definitely not returning and don't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I wanted to get a second opinion regarding the treatment that was recommended to me. I completely respect that dentists have their own professional recommendations, and I understand they may believe certain procedures are necessary. However, I also believe patients have the right to seek a second opinion before making a decision. Since I currently have no pain, discomfort, or concerns, I asked if I could simply receive the basic cleaning that my insurance covers. I was told they would not provide it because of other treatment recommendations. While I respect their policy, it wasn't the outcome I was hoping for. I then requested copies of my dental records so I could consult another dentist. I was told I needed to sign a release form, which was fine. The office sent the form by email, but it ended up in my spam folder, so I didn't see it until Monday morning. Once I found it, I completed the form and went to the office to obtain my records. Throughout the process, I felt like I had to work much harder than necessary just to get information and access my own records. During one phone call, I explained my situation to an employee, and instead of telling me she was transferring me, I was placed on silence. A different person eventually picked up, and I had to explain everything all over again. Overall, I left feeling like communication could have been much better. I respect the clinical judgment of the providers, but I didn't feel the office made it easy for me to ask questions or obtain my records for a second opinion. Based on my personal experience, I would choose another dental office in the future. And on top I asked I'll be there in 20 min to picked my records and I showed up 1 hour later and still made me wait to do what I asked. So unprofessional service.

Not sure how this was determined, because it was a rushed job. Simply looked at a few teeth with a mirror and made the determination. Did not even have the x-rays in the room to go over. Sought a second opinion from another dentist, who determined that #2 tooth was healthy and #30 was not. The irony is that he used the x-rays taken at Gentle Dental. He also used other methods and conversation that a place emphasizing profit over care would not be concerned about. In any case, this place is either selling services not required or incompetent. Either are disqualifiers. If proper care is expected see a true dentist in private practice and not a dental mill.

So i just asked him to please fill the cavities he saw on exrays. He did this, no issues, don't think he liked me much, or just did not care to show any interest in me as a patient, but he did a good job, on fillings. He had another Dr. In office, for implants, which i was in need of implants on a few teeth, and started with this other Dr. P. who was AMAZING, did a bone graf, and will be finishing my implant, but he has left Dr.Craigs office and opened his own. Dr. Craigs office girls up front are ok, and seem not to care either way, as long as i paid up front before the visit for the visit, as i am cash. they made a mold for a essex Retainer, to wear duing bone healing, and the essex was so poorly fitting, covered my front teeth barely cutting into my gums, couldn't speak with it in. I just explained this to office, they said i could come back have a mold made an new, but decided, this was not the office for me. Long drive, and nothing wonderful or caring feeling about this office. His former associated Dr. P,,, i can not say enough GOOD things about and he is going to try to save one of the teeth Dr. Craig said is beyond repair, yet it is in, not loose and not painful so just giving me hope, is enough to gain my health and happiness, so, Dr. Parhik will be my Periodontist and IMPLANT dr. forever! and his new office is so much closer to me in Sparks also.
