Amazing experience at the dentist today. I am new to Reno and this dentist was recommended by a work friend. The location is first rate and is clean and lovely with plenty of parking. The dental equipment seemed brand new and the furniture all seemed new as well. The dentist was professional, on time and the dental hygienists were terrific as well. It was a solid pleasant experience and I felt like I was in very good hands. Does it sound weird to say I am looking forward to my next visit? read more

I am more than disappointed to have to write this review, unfortunately, I have experienced a neglect in the customer service from the office. The recent process of dental work that I have had recently has left me looking for another dental office. During my visit in September 2025, I was informed that my bridge was 'failing' and in addition I had a cavity underneath a crown, and in addition to that, an adjacent tooth had to be removed. To me, as a lay person, this sounded like a tremendous amount of work and cost. I felt the office manager or Cercek should have sat down with me and gone over various options. However, I was only given a referral to an oral surgeon for implants. Implants did not seem to be a good option for me after having an appointment with the referral dentist. Aside from the exorbitant cost, the x-ray showed that I would need a 'sinus uplift'. The oral surgeon did not even bother to discuss the fact that I have periodontal disease and how that can sometimes complicate issues and even having the implants 'fail'! On my own, I researched other options such as a partial denture. I was very disappointed that no information or options were given to me by the office. I, again, had to research on my own what would potentially be my reimbursement from the insurance company because Cercek is out of network. I only had $825 left for 2025. In 2026, the maximum reimbursement would be $1,500. Because I did the research, I decided to split the dental work that needed to be done over December 2025 and January 2026. I made an appointment for December 17, 2025 and another for the partial on January 14, 2026 shortly after the September visit. I later found out (at the 17th appointment) that a minimum of 6 weeks is required for healing. From the 17th of 2025 to the 14th 2026 is only 4 weeks! My appointment was moved up one week to the 10th of December, but even still that is not 6 weeks! From my researching, yet again, I found out that healing can take up to 3 months. The fact that the office didn't take the time to help me in scheduling is a gross neglect! Back in 2011 I had the adjacent tooth pulled, the oral surgeon packed the gum with cadaver bone and put in a couple of stiches. The tooth that Cercek pulled had bone loss, and I even asked if there would be bone filled in, and the answer was no with no explanation. No stiches either. Why would I go in for a measurement for a partial denture when my gums/mouth are not completely healed. That makes no sense. So, I called to cancel my appointment for the 14th and to relay these complaints to your office manager. I was told she was in a meeting. Did not receive a call back, so called again and was asked if I could be put on a 'brief hold', which I did. 10 minutes after being on hold, I hung up. Called back yet again and was asked 'what is a good time that the office manager could call you back.' Very, very poor customer service. And this is not even the whole story, but that would require a very very lengthy review. read more

I had to switch dental offices , since my hygienist moved to this office and I can't express how impressed I am with this place. My main review goes to Katherine as she does an amazing job with my teeth cleaning needs & she's the most comfortable hygienists I believe anyone can go to when going to the dentist is already a anxiety induced place. She will be 100% honest with you with your dental needs when it comes to your cleaning and will always check in to make sure you're okay especially if something is uncomfortable during your cleaning. This dental office itself is beautiful , it is in Rancharrah , so your expectations of the place is exactly what you'd imagine when going to the Village at Rancharrah: very posh, modern, clean looking , and just beautiful. I've found Dr. Cercek and the gals at Village Dental to be kind, considerate, helpful and friendly! I've been seeing Dr. Cercek for years - before she founded Village Dentistry - and have always found her to be honest, compassionate and transparent as to what can and should be done with my teeth. I have a very small mouth and because of this, when seeing dentists in the past, I suffered from a great deal of discomfort and anxiety. This is not the case at all with Dr. Cercek. She is an excellent dentist and is always concerned with my comfort. Now, instead of trepidation at going to the dentist, I look forward to my visits with anticipation knowing she'll take care of me without causing me undue pain or distress. She has a gentle touch that is in no way weak. I believe she feels that dentistry does not have to be accompanied by fear and misery. I leave her office feeling optimistic that I'm receiving the best and most thorough dental care possible. I'm planning on a great deal of dental work in 2025 to repair and fix up my teeth and Dr. Cercek is the only dentist I trust to do this extensive work. I've only brushed over her staff. They have all been so thoughtful, patient and helpful in getting me to this point. I've never once felt judged by my teeth or made to feel inferior. TL;DR: Having a dentist you trust is a rarity in today's world, almost as rare as finding a comfortable chair in a waiting room. But for the past two years or more, Village Dental and I have engaged in a beautiful relationship that we (or at least me) hope goes on longer than I have teeth. When you walk through the doors, it's clean; it's simple, yet elegant, and the decor quintessential. Though you're immediately acknowledged, you grab a water or other drink--which they generously provide--and sit and honestly, mind-yoga beckons... But. No. You are called to the desk. Sure, the desk staff at Village Dental are professional, but their friendliness goes far beyond a simple greeting. They truly act as patient advocates, as well as they are empathetic and knowledgeable, not just there to take messages. Right "after Covid", they'd have been docked a star for the terrible Wi-Fi & cell service, however, they listened AND HEARD patients. Let's hear it for making improvements to create a good experience for patients. During that time of bad cell service, while having a former filling's cavity re-cleaned and refilled, I put on my Beats for my Tagalog lessons. The doctor heard my disappointment ("Oh yeah. This is going to be a bummer."). She asked what I had planned on listening to. Using her experience with the Philippines, she regaled me with stories, all the while filling my cavity with the precision of a jeweler. Furthermore, I choose not to use novocaine when possible and, well, she checked on me often, and I never felt pain (the only negative was her politeness: asking questions that I really wasn't in a position to answer verbally or by a shake or nod of the head)! My apologies, I went off on a tangent and out of order. By now you can see we are much more than a thruple here. Let's not forget our hygienists. I love that they care how to pronounce your name rather than awkwardly butchering it and they offer you a warm blanket if the room is chilly. They are quick, diligent with your teeth, and when they are finished with the procedure, they talk to the doctor with you, this is when you understand they understood all you were saying (pun intended) during their visit with you. One thing I noticed, as the doctor joins us, is that all of the staff read my files BEFORE they met with me, they already had ideas, plans, and questions ready. This particular visit was a simple cleaning with the hygienist, Since I learned I have a disease that dries out my organs and affects my teeth, the doctor and I revisited our goals for my teeth, changing them to reflect my future. She explained to me different options, why one might be better than another, whether any of it would be permanent or if I have to have it redone at some point, she asked me questions, and we worked something out I hope to be able to do. At Village Dental, I feel safe enough to share that my regular monthly bills have gone up exponentially just to deal daily with this one stinking disease, my medical bills are piling up because we aren't even through with all that junk, and that dental services are not free. They understand I am not looking for a handout or the cheapest thing around, but they also know I have to question everything and plan it well in advance. They have been working with me ... I want to cry now, they have been so good to me. Anyway. The new plan won't be easy and I have to figure out how to make it happen, but with the doctor's knowledge and everyone on the same team wanting the same good outcome, we will get there. BTW, the hygienist won't let you get lost in the maze back to the lobby, they always walk you out and make pleasant small talk. If you and your doctor have decided on new procedures, don't worry about navigating the details alone. The desk staff has your back. They will walk you through the timeline, explain how it interacts with your insurance, and discuss various payment options to fit your needs. Unlike some receptionists who simply relay information, the Village Dental staff empowers you with understanding before and after connecting you with the doctor. The fact the doctors trust them to do this and are not hovering does speak volumes, n'est pas? Anyway. Did I mention, their smiles are genuine. Ah. True love. It's not often you hear people say they love their dentist, but I LOVE my dentist! I've been seeing Dr. Cercek since before her office moved to Rancharrah, and I've always had a pleasant experience. The cleanings are definitely thorough and experiences I've had getting fillings have been good, as far as getting your teeth drilled go, haha! I had a crown from a previous dentist that was giving me a lot of trouble, and Dr. Cercek's magic touch totally fixed it, no more sensitivity or pain! I've never had a dentist or hygienist actually show me my x-rays and pictures of my teeth and explain stuff before, it's so interesting and good to know they care about education and prevention, not just treating! If I could give zero stars, I would. The hygienist (Anya) was very rough when probing my teeth, so much so that she made ALL my gums bleed. I get my teeth cleaned regularly, I floss twice a day and have never had any issues with pain during probing, let alone bleeding from all my gums. I was also given conflicting information, she told me that my gums on the front part of my mouth were healthy with pockets that ranged from 1-2 mm, well within the normal 1-3 mm range. I later asked her if it is normal for healthy gums to bleed during probing and she said no. If this is the case, then how can I have healthy gums that are still bleeding? Do the math. She then proceeded to tell me that I had very deep pockets affecting the back molars (2-3 teeth on each arcade) and that I would need to go back for a "deeper" cleaning in two separate appointments. I asked her to explain the difference between a regular vs. deeper cleaning and she had no clear concrete answer. I was later quoted $464 to have this performed and I had to sign the quote assuming responsibility for the cost if my insurance did not cover it. I get the feeling this was all a scam to get more $$ out of me. Lastly, with these ridiculous prices you would think the dentist would attempt to have a better bedside manner and perform a proper thorough examination. She entered the room and never introduced herself, her face was completely covered with a mask and face shield. I did not know who she was (Dr. Cercek) until I saw her name on my receipt. She spent less than 1 minute probing my teeth and dictating notes. Not once did she go over her findings and did not even perform a full oral examination (internal and external - looking under tongue, throat, cheeks or palpation of neck lymph nodes, checking bite, etc) to rule-out anything suspicious, something that dentist are supposed to do as part of a thorough oral checkup. This was the most half-ass examination I have ever had at a dentist office. I will say the facility is very posh and modern. However, I would advise looking past all the glitter and saving your money. I will be getting a second opinion on my needed "deep cleaning" and taking my business elsewhere. read more

Overall as a first time patient I had a nice experience here. The office was very clean, nice and cutely decorated. Most of the staff was friendly and communicated well. The dental hygienist was also very sweet and did a great job cleaning my teeth, better than most other dentists I've been to. However, there were some things like any business I would improve. 1) There was no sign or decal on the front door indicating it was village dentistry so it made it confusing as a first time patient where there main entrance was and which door to use. 2) It would have been nice to see a hook on the back of the bathroom doors for women to hang their purse while using the restroom. 3) they didn't offer sunglasses to wear during the cleaning which is a nice option for the customer so they don't have to stare at the bright lights during the cleaning 4) Their listing on Yelp is under the dentist name rather than Village Dental so unless you know the dentist name, you can't find them on Yelp. They may also loose business this way since they can't be found on Yelp 5) The setup of the teeth cleaning rooms wasn't ideal for having face to face conversations. Most of the time the staff stood behind me while I was sitting in the cleaning chair so I couldn't see them. So I had to turn around in the chair to face them and my neck which was uncomfortable. The only time it was ok was during the cleaning or when the dentist came in to do the exam, they sat next to me. It would be nice if the other staff talked to you from the side of the room too 6) while most of the staff was nice, friendly and helpful, it didn't feel like they cared much about having a connection or relationship with the patient. For some people this might be fine, but I personally like it when staff try's to get to know me or make me feel special as a patient 7) It was disappointing at the end of service when I checked out and one of the front desk girls said your service "should" be covered for today. This was frustrating because I had specifically talked to her before my appointment via phone to make sure my cleaning was covered and then she was changing her tune. Then she said well if it's not, it's only $47 which wasn't the point. Upfront she told me one thing, then at the end told me something else. Not a good way of doing business or leaving a first impression. The same thing also happened to my boyfriend who was also new. They said the cost for his cleaning was a certain amount but at the end told him they messed up on the price! While mistakes happen it was ironic this happened twice in one day. Not a good sign of office communication, or they are either trying to charge you more for the service. read more

This is the **NICEST** dental office that I've ever been to. I have some dental anxiety from a procedure gone horribly wrong in middle school, so it takes a lot to make me feel comfortable. Walking in to Dr. Cercek's office was an experience- like walking into a fancy spa. The check in process was quick and simple, and I was in the chair and getting x-rays done within a few minutes. Dr. Cercek quickly identified the problem and gave me a few options. I had a filling that cracked in my wisdom tooth (very deep into the tooth) and she literally offered to extract it that day. That being a bit much for me on such short notice, I took the referral for the oral surgeon to get rid of all of my wisdom teeth at a later date. Scheduling my appointment was also great- I had called around to several places and this office was the only one who could get me in by the next business day. I had a terrible experience at Village Dental. After being quoted a hefty $1700 for 2 crowns i saved up for months to be able to move forward with my dental treatment. Never once was I told by the dentist that she had concerns that the decay was deep and a root canal COULD be in the cards. After weeks of pains and multiple calls to the office who assured me it could take my nerves up to two months to heal, I had my permanent crown placed despite the horrific pain because the dr said that would ease the pain. I had never been in worse pain in my life and was alternating the max dose of Tylenol and Advil with no relief. I was then informed I needed to see a specialist for a root canal on the crown that was just placed. Not only did it cost me an ADDITIONAL $1300 for a root canal, but the whole ordeal was extremely stressful and painful. After all of this I scheduled an appointment to go back to have a permanent filling done (the specialist only did a temp) (They wanted another $35 for this) the next week and came down with a stomach bug the night before and I texted them from the bathroom floor that I was sick and could not make it. They informed me it was be a $50 charge to my account to cancel. While this place is beautiful, it is extremely evident they are trying to squeeze any and every penny they can from you and that money is at the front of their minds, not the patient care or the right thing to do. It is extremely unfortunate because I loved my hygienist. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. read more

First, I like Dr. Cercek and have complete confidence in her work. My issue is with the Office Policy. I was not working and purchased the Maintenance Plan. It covered two cleanings and % discount on procedures. I went in for one cleaning under that plan. Then I got a temporary job which had dental insurance. I used the insurance to pay for a new crown. The job was temporary so I was again not working and went in for my 2nd cleaning. I was told by the office staff the plan I paid for was forfeited when I used insurance. They said I was told this but I don't recall. While the office may think this is "legal" based on the agreement or verbal, I don't think it is an ethical business policy. The practice has the money I paid to cover the second cleaning. They are not out any money. The idea that I would now have to paid again for the cleaning is just a very poor business decision; in my option. read more

As busy as they are, I was in the following morning after sending a text the evening prior to get it taken care of. (yes Iam falling apart‼)I have to say that the entire staff are the most upbeat, professional and helpful staff you could ever want! Prior to this little experience I also had a fractured tooth that chipped. Dr. cercik warned me that the temporary would not look as good as the permanent but it looked so much better than what I had prior to the chip that she straightened it, match the color perfectly and was communicative kind, and talented. Always a pleasure to visit the office. Not a huge fan of the dentist, but I am a huge fan of this office. From the minute I walk in until I'm walking out, every staff contact is great. Everyone is professional, caring, sensitive and patient. If I need work beyond a cleaning, they always take the time to discuss options, timing, costs. Meadow is my go to dental hygienist and so tuned in that she knows when I need a little breather or some water, without me even asking. Super sensitive to my comfort and checks in throughout the cleaning to let me know what she is doing, where she is at in the cleaning, and when we are almost done. She knows I have not always had positive dental experiences with other offices, and ensures every visit with her is painless and comfy. My last experience at this office. Anya, the hygienist was close to abusive. I have told this office repeatedly including Dr. Cercek that I only want to work with Jessica. Apparently they don't head to chart notes (if they even read them). The first thing Anya did was criticize me on my choice of water piks. Then when she was doing the cleaning, she was so rough with the sonic cleaner. I asked her to turn it down. She did that but then dug in farther. I kept putting my hand up because she was drowning me with the water not being removed. She kept ignoring my hand going up for a break. I had to pull everything out of myself several times. I told her to stop with the sonic. She then started scraping manually and kept nicking my gums. It was so painful. Then she took the gum measuring stick and jammed in into my gum pocket. I about hit the roof. I said ouch that hurt! She said "I have to measure it!". I was crying the whole time. She said nothing. No apologies or anything for hurting me. I asked her if she even read the background on my chart and she avoided the question. Obvi she didn't. This has ruined my whole day and I'm in total pain from being stabbed with the gum rod. In tears. I've been trying to support this office for two years. I'm done. If you need a less brutal touch in a dental office, take your business elsewhere. I admit I'm not a huge fan of the dentist. I've heard stories of people who can sleep in the dentist chair. I'm definitely not that type of person. I'm usually the one white knuckling the arm rests and internally talking to myself to remind me to breathe. Dr. Cercek inherited me as a patient because she took over the practice of the dentist I use to go to for my dental care. I decided to stay with the practice since it was easy and they already had my files. When you first walk in, the front desk area is straight ahead and you are always greeted with a hello and smile. The have a nice sitting area with magazines to read and beverages nearby if you are wanting to have a drink while you wait. I've never waited very long and usually am escorted to the rooms within a few minutes. Dr. Cercek and the staff are friendly, very approachable, and professional. They are all about patient care and make your comfort a priority during your visit. I've been in dentist chairs where I am in desperate need to swallow or my jaw hurts from being open too long and no one cares or even asks how I'm doing. Here are Dr. Cercek's office they ask how I'm doing or if I need to take a break. My teeth feel and look great after my routine cleanings. Meadow, the dental hygienist, has been my favorite because she was meticulous without leaving my mouth and gums feeling sore. After having four dentists in my life tell me the same old "you never brush your teeth" and "you need a root canal", I finally found a dentist who actually tells me the truth. After some bad experiences with local dentists. I made an appointment to see this new dentist next week. Yesterday, while shopping at Costco, I cracked my tooth. The whole top of my tooth came off. Since I had just made an appointment for a dental check up the day before, I had their phone number with me. I called and told them what had happened and they said to come in right away. Megan Cercek and staff are fantastic! These fabulous young ladies are so welcoming, helpful and informative! I heard of Megan Cercek on 100.1 KTHX The X radio station, now they are my new dentist! They gave me the new patient special, x-rays, full cleaning, and a brand new Philips sonicare electric toothbrush! They always keep track of my records and progress. Letting me know how my gums are doing and steps I need to take to keep healthy teeth and gums. The dental hygienist are great too! Let me start by saying that I have a severe dental phobia. I mean, really serious. That said, I was handled with gentle hands throughout my whole experience. I had some work done by a previous local dentist that all fell out within three or four years, and due to a lack of job, I wasn't able to get in to have it taken care of (things cost money, you know?!). By the time I was able to get in, my mouth was in constant pain and I was convinced that I would need to have either a root canal or a tooth pulled. Not something I was looking forward to. Dr. Cercek was able to save my tooth. It sounds corny, but you have no idea how much this means to me. In addition to this, both her and her staff my took my phobia and concerns very seriously. This is something that's hard to find. Everyone says they have a dental phobia, but few of them really do. Due to this, it's something they hear on a regular basis and it's hard to get anyone to take you seriously. My husband called and got me my first appointment, and it went great. We originally weren't going to do any work; this was simply supposed to be a meet & greet and a way to get some x-rays to see how I was doing. The hygienist, Meadow (?), was a pleasure to be around, and she did a beautiful job cleaning my teeth (that's the work that wasn't going to be done, but I felt so comfortable, that we went ahead with it. She kept up a one-sided conversation that allowed me to completely zone out and yet kept me focused on what she was saying and not on my anxiety. We booked my appointment for the following week to get my actual work done, and that appointment went as smoothly as it possibly could. I am unable to take Valium (It makes me even more anxious and panicky), so we had been searching for someone who would be willing to use nitrice oxide (Laughing Gas), or do twilight dentistry. She does nitrice, but between the environment and my own anxiety meds, it turned out that I didn't need it. The shot went well, and was very, VERY smooth (no pinching or hyper-jiggling) , and she was freakishly fast. Despite the speed in which she finished, she did an amazing job! I would recommend her for anyone who is looking for a gentle and thorough dentist who takes what you say very seriously.
