Went to Justin Coffee today for a Bible study with some ladies from church. It's such a lovely place to meet. The food is always good and the drinks are amazing. This last time we were sitting outside and my drink and food fell on the ground soon after I got it. It was an accident, but still my own fault, so I wasn't going to ask for anything to be done about it. I highly recommend Justin Coffee! They had a cute pop up store at Keystone Church over the holidays and offered wonderful holiday warm beverages, gingerbread cookies that were so yum I went back and bought 4 more. Also, they sell cute boutique items that are one of a kind and high quality. I bought these cute poinsettia crystal earrings that I wore multiple times over the holidays with many compliments. I wanted to like this place, but the experience was unbelievably frustrating. I waited over 40 minutes for a single coffee, and after all that time there were STILL six groups ahead of me waiting for their drinks. At that point I gave up and left without ever getting my order. It was a holiday weekend, so being busy wasn't surprising but the shop clearly was not staffed appropriately to handle the crowd. They only had ONE person working the espresso machine, which created a massive bottleneck while the line kept growing longer and longer. I understand rushes happen, but customers shouldn't be stuck waiting nearly an hour for coffee with no realistic end in sight. Management seriously needs to plan staffing better during peak times. I was excited to find this small neighborhood coffee shop while I was in Justin for a swim meet, but we were disappointed with our experience. First, we arrived to find 3 staff members behind the counter chatting amongst themselves. That wouldn't have been a problem if they hadn't ignored (or dismissed) several of my questions about the menu and some merchandise. Second, the espresso was made with a light roasted bean, so the flavors were bitter. Third, we ordered avocado toast and a burrito bowl. The toast was cold (and so it was hard) and the avocado was a spread (think thin guacamole). So disappointing. We wanted the burrito bowl without sausage but they said they're made ahead and would have to pick out the sausage. No thank you! Fourth, and finally, I always order my espresso with non-fat milk. They up-charged me $1 for non-fat milk. How is that possible? Overall, we left feeling disappointed. read more

Mom and I went in the before Independence Day Week, and they had the café all decorated for it. The baristas were really friendly and were happy to answer questions. Apparently pretty much all of their syrups are made in-house. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options that are great for hosting larger get togethers. We had "Sandy Beaches", "Coco Loco", a cappuccino, a blueberry scone, and ordered some sandwiches to go. I think we liked the Sandy Beaches the best of the drinks. Coco Loco really needs to be shaken or stirred, but is excellent when the flavors are fully incorporated. (You gotta remember that the in-house syrups work a little differently than the highly processed stuff. If it tastes a little strong of coffee and not much of syrup... that means you need to try shaking or stirring.) read more

The reason for 3 stars is mainly the food. It tastes like frozen prepackaged food that they just microwave. Multiple times we've gotten the burritos and the bowls and the tots and fillings are still half cold/frozen which is really off putting. The coffee is alright, but they're more geared towards really high calorie sugary drinks. Also the match is pre made and I would never order it again, it tasted really bad. The main thing this spot has going for it is the open play areas outdoors for families when the weather starts to cool down. Service is good which is why I'm still giving 3 stars. read more

I would love to rate this place higher. It is such a cute coffee shop and the food is great however the staffing and execution is a problem making the experience bad. They are consistently not managing orders (placing newer orders ahead of existing). Even using order ahead you'll be waiting 30+ mins for your cold brews and your food will be ready as soon as you walk in and cold due to the wait. read more

My wife and I have been going here pretty much since they opened. Their food (breakfast and lunch) and coffee are top shelf! The ladies working there are top shelf. It's a very nice place, and it is a very comfortable atmosphere. Unlike some coffee shops, they are not pretentious or stuffy. For the past few months, a group of us guys meet here early every Saturday morning. They treat us very well and are very welcoming to us. I have eaten the quiche, muffins and other pastries, sandwiches, and soups. They are all good. I usually have the drip coffee (excellent)- they serve it with a side of cold foam for me. It adds just a little sweetness without taking away the taste of the coffee like cream and sugar would do. I have also had other coffee drinks along with the local beer they serve. They are great as well. This place is a fine establishment and well worth the visit. I would highly recommend it. I meant to get a pix of the quiche but ate it while typing this up. read more

I've been riding motorcycles through Justin for the past 20 yrs. In the past 5 yrs or so, the landscape has been changing. More houses. More people. All negatives. Then today, I looked over and saw this new coffee place. Turned around and went in. What a cool and unique place. The whole property seems very purposefully designed with a lot of attention to detail. Has a positive vibe. Makes me want to come back. The latte and avocado toast were excellent. Service friendly. The whole experience was positive. It's a place you'd expect to see in Highland Village or Southlake. Not Justin. People will look back in 10 yrs and say the opening of Justin Coffee represented when Justin was no longer a little town along Hwy 156 and the railroad. read more

Our first time trying out this coffee shop in Justin and it definitely won't be our last. There's plenty of cozy indoor seating options as well as a wonderful outdoor section and patio. So I've done quite a few reviews on yelp over the last few years. This is the first one that I actually had to input the entry for the location. Justin is a quiet little town and up until a few months ago If you would have told me "Justin Coffee Shop" that would've been analogous to "jumbo shrimp". It just wouldn't have made sense. Well, not anymore. I finally got a chance to stop into this coffee shop and try a cup of Cappuccino and a pastry. It was late in the day, so I decided on the iced lemon poppyseed muffin and plain cappuccino. Was pleasantly surprised by the Place. Extremely clean and very modern throughout. It's a very cute arrangement. They've got a very large outside patio. What looks to be parking on both sides and then across the street. They had a very good selection of pastries and I'm anxious to try a few more. The cappuccino was absolutely tremendous. I didn't need to put cinnamon, nutmeg or sugar on it. It was very smooth and mellow but bold and rich and perfectly balanced in terms of natural sweetness. I don't know what machine they had, I didn't think to look, but it would not surprise me if it was a La Marzocco. The coffee was literally over the top. They only offer one size; 8 ounces but it hit the spot without being too filling and they did it correctly as a cappuccino not as a watered down cappuccino or something much closer to a latte. I'm not 100% certain but I think it was Alexis who made the drink. The best part on the inside it's literally "Chevrolet mom and Apple pie". They've got a cute gift shop and the people that work there are just wonderful. Essentially what you would expect in a rural coffee setting. I'm sure I'll be going back quite frequently in the future. I didn't see them set up to do a pour over cup of coffee, but if they could add that to the menu, it would be great. I see from the menu that they offer lunch. They're open until 2:30, they're looking at adding dinner, but must still be going through some grand opening growing pains. I'd like to see that place stay open until nine or 10 at night. Hopefully they'll have the traffic to be able to do that. Thank you to the group of people that brought us this little treat. Coffee was a 2. Not good at all. Ordered a special pumpkin latte n we couldn't tell apart from our other drink which was a vanilla latte. Girl just sat both down n walked away leaving us wondering which was which ? Drinks tasted like warmed up milk. Disappointed. But the apple turnover was a 10 out of 10. read more

WOW!! What a great discovery! Looking for a breakfast spot and came here. The options sounded light but still substantial. It's totally perfect!!!! Delicious breakfast options (we got a breakfast burrito and avocado toast) but I want to try the quinoa bowl as well. Also had a varied and delicious sounding lunch menu - WE WILL BACK!!! We also got a to go box of some yummy looking baked goods for later. The pumpkin spice latte was even more amazing (for me--I like coffee): robust, dark (not burnt, tyvm) coffee flavor, with a lovely heap of foam atop. The chocolate pie with chocolate crust was smooth and deliciously rich: unexpectedly easy to eat.
