Based on YELP reviews I made an appointment with Dave's Marine following an overheating problem…read morethat occurred on Fathers Day-June 15. The earliest appointment date was August 12, 2025. I brought the boat in on August 12, 2025 and Dave & I went over my concerns. An estimate was prepared around August 19, 2025 and I picked up the boat on August 29th. Dave took the time to really keep me updated with texts and photos throughout the repair process which was very helpful. I had additional work performed not related to the overheating issue(guages/gas tank access portal, and oil change and Dave did his general boat wellness check as well. Being retired I wanted to take the boat out that very weekend but since all my friends worked I was unable to do so. During that time I took the time to really clean up the boat and polish the gelcoat (Skwol Oxidation Polish & Wax) ) and refinish & clear coast the outdrive and really make the boat shine. I finally got to use the boat on Tuesday, September 9, 2025other retired riend was able to go with me. We went to Lake Perris and the boat performed perfectly. I can't even explain the happiness that I experienced knowing that everything worked. My friend and I spent probably 3+ hours on the lake which was close to being void of any boaters. I wanted to immediately write a review but I got lazy. Dave's Marine is now my go-to repair facility. They are completely competent and charged a reasonable amount for the work that was done. I'm glad I was patient enough to wait. There is a reason why there is a wait time as Dave proved that he was completely skilled enough to repair the boat the proper way keeping me informed all the way thru. I feel super-happy and I'd definitely recommend using their services

Over the years I have seen the quality of service rapidly decline. The place is packed and there's barely ever anyone there to help you. If there is it's usually someone maybe around 20 years old that's goofing around and could care less about you. They also will never have any answers to anything. I had my RV outside but they were packing it in like a sardine and I wanted it indoors for the summer days to preserve the roof. So I laid a premium. At the time around 550. For indoor service plus an extra 25 for 20 amp to keep the battery's healthy. Welp. Not sure what they did. When I checked my rv out - the batteries were completely shot. Can't even ignite the generator. These are new batteries btw. Also my leveling system is going nuts and beeping. So now I have to take my rv in for repair. Even though I have textual proof they PROMISED to take care of the electric. But then it gets worse! I realized the sliding plastic protector on my screen door that prevents people from getting to the handle from the outside was completely missing. I looked on the ground and there were a few broken pieces. Meaning someone broke it and hid the evidence. But we're so dumb they left a few pieces behind. So then I snooped around and realized that someone had Belen sleeping in my bed! I could tell from the sheets and pillow indentation. You see what they don't know is I had the RV staged for sales photos with very nicely made up bedding. And hand driven it at all since making the bed. So needless to say I packed her up immediately and drove her to a place that is half the price up the street with my own spot and gated security. What's the point of trusting your RV to a premium full service place that's not going to do any service and break in and use your RV as a resting spot? Oh. And they hiked the rates up because you know "the times" and I was paying I think around 630/mo by the end. I don't understand why they have so many good reviews. I can only imagine they buy them or they are legacy. This place is so dumb there's also only one code for the secure gate. They change it maybe once every two years. I'm fairly confident I could go back. Gain entry and walk right into someone's RV if I wanted to. Best avoid. Save your money and look up the 15 a little bit. Much better options.

On the same day visit, he was able to take apart the top end of my Mercruiser horizon 8.1l, and determine that the rocker, push rod, and lifter failed. To be able to determine a severe cause in engine failure in a single afternoon is both impressive, efficient, and a relief to know what the problem is and the plan of action to get it up and running. Second visit, he completed all of the repairs with all of the new parts. My engine was back up and running before the second weekend. After hearing nothing all morning, I called at 1:00 PM to check on the status only to be told that they would not be able to get around to it today because the installer left early. This is completely unacceptable. If you book an appointment weeks out and drop your vehicle off on time, there should be clear communication and realistic scheduling. Waiting until the customer calls hours later to say the job won't be done shows a lack of respect for people's time. If they were overbooked or short-staffed, that should have been communicated before taking the appointment or at least first thing in the morning, not halfway through the day after the vehicle has already been sitting there. Very disappointed with the experience and the poor communication.
