Death wobble occurred in Death Valley, I know weird huh ! also jeep was overheating which was a new problem. RMS got me in between trips and solved both problems in two days. One important thing is they are honest if something breaks during complex repairs as a result of their work, they make it right. They had an AC valve problem and couldn't get a new one from the dealer so replaced the whole tubing and valves as a unit which the dealer had. Redlands tire pros is also owned by the same family so between the two of them they solved the problem at not cost to me. You have to appreciate that they are willing to work on a problem in an honest way, and if you feel it's not right give them the chance to fix it. They will ! We purchased a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon from Redlands Jeep and mentioned that we wanted a few aftermarket accessories installed. The Dealership recommended that we check out Redlands Motor Sports which was literally right across the street! After talking with Jeff, we mapped out our plan to install an aftermarket bumper, 12,000 lb. winch, running boards with steps (since we're getting old) and some off road lighting so we can find our way back to camp after a day of off road exploration. A couple of weeks later we had our Jeep outfitted with all our new equipment! The installation was exceptional! We even had them wire the Jeep up so we can tow it behind our little motorhome. Very unprofessional experience and would NEVER recommend to anyone. Please do your research and go elsewhere. They installed my suspension wrong and when I took it to the manufacturer to look at the suspension that was making noise they would not even let me drive it because they said that RMS improperly assembled it and it was a hazard to drive on. I called RMS several times and asked if they would be able to fix it and they said that it was not covered under warranty. They stated they won't back their work due to improper installation. They want the customer to come out of pocket for their mistakes. I will make sure that I spread the word to all my buddies who would use RMS in the future so they take their business somewhere else that guarantees their work and service. read more

Stay away from this shop. I brought my 2015 JKU to have a lift kit installed and other lift related accessories. Initially I was pleased with the customer service although a simple 3 inch short arm lift took four days to install. I had a teraflex lift with Fox 2.0 shocks and an Artec front truss kit and fox steering stabilizer installed. I got the jeep back a day later than originally quoted and took it out to a very basic trail. No rock crawling. No whoops. Just some washboard roads and sandy washes. After about 15 miles I noticed a knocking sound. I got out of the Jeep and saw that the rear driver side two link bar had come completely unbolted and dropped out of the bracket. I was able to do a trailside repair and limp home. Before leaving the trail I went around to the rest of the bolts the shop had taken out and reinstalled and noticed that several others had begun loosening up. I returned to the shop, which is 45 minutes away from my house. The owner, Ron, was there and told me he personally did the "safety" on the Jeep after the lift was installed. I also told them that I was hearing a noise that sounded like the front springs were binding or hitting something, the shock body of the front shocks were rubbing the frame, causing damage and that the jeep was leaning heavily to the passenger side, 1 inch in the front and 3/4" in the rear. I was told that if I wanted the shock fixed I would need to have them do some grinding to the shock tower and that this was a common problem. This seemed like something that should have been addressed at the time of install but it was not. I was told the lean was normal. The shop "re-torqued" all the bolts and made some adjustments to the springs and sent me on my way. In the mean time I ordered and installed metal cloak lower front shock relocation bracket to stop the damage to the shock bodies. I returned a couple days later when the jeep was still leaning heavily and the springs were still making noise. I was told to leave the jeep with them and they would work on the problem. I returned at the end of the day and was told then that the load in the Jeep was to blame. I began to go around every bit of the jeep with one of the techs and we saw that the front drivers side spring was not seating and was, in fact resting on the c-gusset bracket of the truss kit. I was told that this was not their fault because I had specifically requested this truss system but they said they would fix it for me free because they wanted to "Stand by their work". I found this strange because this is a "custom fab shop". They installed both items at the same time. This should have been addressed at the time of install in the four days they had the jeep. Regardless I scheduled another day to bring the jeep in for them to fix this issue. They also recommended I change the front drive line and put on heavy duty differential covers. I returned a few days later and dropped the jeep off. I got the jeep back at the end of the day with new diff covers, springs properly seated and a new driveline installed. I drove away thinking all may be fixed. The next day I noticed the front differential was leaking. I had a short off road trip planned for the next day and thought I would just keep an eye on it. I got out to the trail and was off road in some minor trails with whoops and some minor rocks when I heard a knocking. I got out of the Jeep and began looking around when I saw that the driver side front lower shock mount had completely torn from the axel. I had enough phone signal that I called Redlands motorsports and talked to Jeff, who offered no real solutions. I then called Metal Cloak and Tera Flex in which they both suspected and concluded that the tera flex bump stops were installed incorrectly, allowing the shock to bottom out before the bump stop could stop it. Again, I was limping off the trail with a dangerous to drive jeep. Before I was able to make it off the trail the passenger side was able to tear off at the mount as well. So now I had a 100 mile drive to do without front shocks. Another dangerous driving situation I was left in. While I was dealing with the shock situation i also noticed that the rear differential cover was leaking and the front steering stabilizer was making contact with the front differential cover, causing both to be damaged. This all happened, Wednesday the 23. I was not able to talk to Ron the owner until the 29th. Once I had him on the phone I went over the list of items that were currently broken, the items which had been broken and all the problems. I requested that Ron simply return the money paid for labor, $1,500 and I would be on my way. He refused and I told him I would have to take him to court and would be reviewing his shop. Ron exploded on the phone screaming profanities, claiming defamation of character and hung up on me. I have spent $6,500 w/ this shop and will now have to spend even more to have another shop fix their problems. read more
