A Three Ring Circus with Rigged Carnival Gaffs How JW Heating & Air Conditioning conducts business leaves a lot to be desired. The founder, Jeff Williams blocks his e-mail address and delegates to an AI phone system and staffers. Customer satisfaction and friendly talk is a thin veneer of a very dysfunctional organization that does coordinate well between install and service teams.. The smooth talking sales engineer who inspected the place of installation told us our thermostat communication wiring had been spliced and wouldn't work and have to be replaced. The installation crew of very friendly customer focused technicians, was up to fail. The install crew at the end of first day told us they didn't know how to complete the work with install of new thermostat communication wiring from roof down 3 stories The courteous service team managed a temporary wiring solution, but nobody came back to clean up the roof installation with box of shield communication wiring, insulation foam, and trash to complete the work 3 days lat. The electrical wiring box cover was not reinstalled When the installation crew was unable to install shielded wiring for new communication thermostat line in existing 1/2 inch conduit from our condo unit three stories below from roof top mounted heat pump, there was an inexcusable delay of weeks in completing the work. A week later installed an improvised splice into existing thermostat wiring - and came back the next week to install a permanent fix. This re-do of the temporary wiring connection waste time and labor. The JW proposal to install an external conduit for new communication line ran afoul of our home owners association's - architectural rule prohibiting disturbance of building aesthetics with conduit running down exterior wall. Its difficult to believe the sales engineer of 42 years experience had not run into this installation problem before. In the end the original thermostat wiring that sales engineer told us had to be replaced - was spliced in order to complete the project. This slick talking sales engineer (more of a carnival barker) never returned a call to correct his mistake of thinking that a braided insulation line could be pulled through over 100 feet of conduit with tightly packed high voltage power wiring for the heat pump. The sad issue seems more interest in a fast buck than providing quick and efficient service. There is no coordination between sales, installation, service or management. A two day job to replace 2 ton heat pump a is reasonable expectation, but in our case this took more than 5 weeks at a condo complex. A scorch mark on ceiling by the air handler in the condo was not fixed four 4 weeks It took more than 4 days to clean up the mess left on the roof from the delayed installation. By contrast an install of similar brand by independent contractor and not licensed dealer like JW was done in 2 days earlier this summer for us. JW is large company whose installation process seems unable to come up with fast solutions. The company lacks the agility of smaller competitor. read more

I would like to express the professional service provided by Minhas Ukani for rescuing me from having to endure cold water due to my tankless water heater glitch. He was nearby and was and stealthily maneuvered his latter to reach the unit. He was able to reset it but will be replacing circuit board. He very professional and also suggested I consider a WiFi system that will allow me to troubleshoot any issue in the future. He called me later on to advise me of the price, which I thought was high but definitely necessary. Thank you for employing such a cordial person! read more

I have lost all faith in this company and recently stopped using them this year after falling for the high pressure tactics for years. They talked us into a service plan and every time they come out for service there is a massive up sell or a sudden repair that needs to be done. Over the last year + every time they recommend a repair for heating, air, or plumbing I get a second opinion. Without fail the second opinion is shocked by the recommendation and or estimated cost. The second opinion either tells me there is no repair that's necessary or the recommended repair is a fraction of what's quoted by JW. I am finally free of their nonsense and never wish to go back. read more

Legitimately the worst customer service experience on earth. And I've had my battles w/ overseas customer service with cell phone companies. Was on the phone for 45 minutes trying to make an appointment. First the AI, then rep #1, then hold for 20 min, then rep #2. ALL asking the SAME info. As stated in my last review, the customer service of the technicians has been great. I've never had an issue with the service providers that come to my home to do work. But the customer service line and communication/follow up from the company is the worst. I'm on hold now waiting to ask for follow up that was promised me. This is the fourth attempt to get a follow up call about an item I need help with at my home. This lack of communication and follow up is why I initially cancelled the regular maintenance package with this company. I entertained the idea of reinstating the package after the great visit last. But I am now sure that I will never sign up again. This is absolutely horrible. I was finally able to get a manager on line and the only thing they offered was to have another service provider come out and look at it again. A service provider already came out and said that a manager had to respond. I just ended the call because this felt like a vicious cycle of incompetence. So disappointing. The only saving grace of this company is that the actual service technicians are great. The rest of the company is trash as far as I'm concerned. I only stay because they installed my system and I want those who installed the system to service it. But it may be time to find another company. read more

Our air conditioner died in the middle of a heat wave. JW Heating and Air has serviced our unit for years. We made an appointment to see what was wrong with our unit. Initially Angel came out and gave us two options repair or replace. We choose to have the entire unit replaced since our unit was 15 years old some of the parts aren't made anymore. The same day Angela got his supervisor Eric to come out and went over our options. Eric came out at 5:30 on Friday and sat in our blistering hot home until we decided on the unit for us. We weren't able to get an appointment for our new unit for a week and it's 100 degrees outside everyday. Eric brought us a portable air conditioner to use while we waited for install. The morning of install Romiro and Ramon were at my home at 8:00 am sharp. They were professional and made sure we knew how to work our new system before they left. They cleaned up after themselves and we couldn't be happier. Our new unit is amazing and so quiet. We got estimates from other companies and chose JW because of the relationship we have built over the years and the warranty and satisfaction guarantee. We are so happy with our new system. I called Jw because I just bought my first house and I wanted a professional to look over my property and walk me through things that needed to be done. JW sent Hyrum Vega as my technician. Hyrum was extremely knowledgeable about my entire house systems. He went as far as cleaning my AC unit, explaining how to service my equipment, and sent me a priory list of things that I should expect to do being a new homeowner. I needed a new thermostat as I had no AC or heat for the past year. Nate was the technician that serviced my system. I had to get a replacement thermostat as my old one was no longer functioning. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me very clearly. We went with the best option for me in regard to the cost and value. I'm happy with my choice and I now don't have to run fans all day to keep cool. Nate was easy to work with and I didn't feel pressure to buy anything extra. Nothing provided in writing, several important details were incorrect, and the information I received about available rebates was inaccurate. I also felt pressured to make an immediate decision instead of being given time to review and compare the proposal. The price appeared significantly inflated as a total with no breakdown, and the overall process felt rushed and focused on closing the sale quickly rather than providing clear, accurate information. JW installed our heating/ air conditioning system a few years ago and now they also take care of our Plumbing needs as well. Today's visit was to completely clean out our attic, seal it against the outside and install new insulation. Nick M was my first contact and he explained what the job would entail very well. I was impressed with him as I have been with everyone. I've had contact with affiliated with service champions. Victor and Nick (different one ) arrived promptly and were extremely friendly, kind and motivated. What I thought would've taken three days they were able to finish in a day and a half. I was impressed at the attention to detail that they gave the house. and various points throughout the job they stopped to take time to explain to me what had been done and show me video and pictures so I could keep up with the work. Extremely disappointing recent experience with JW. I had them come out to replace some duct work on my property. The contract I received was $6k higher than we'd been quoted, so I had to call to have that resolved. Sketchy. I was told a day they would come out and do the work. They didn't show. No warning, no notice. I took the day off work and they did not show. I had to call to ask what was going on, and I was told, "Woops." No one apologized. I rescheduled anyway, given that I'd previously had good experiences. The workers came out and did the work. The workers left eight giant bags of stuff (and a bunch of trash) on my property and told me they would be back to collect it the next day. They did not come back the next day. I have since spent the last month trying to get JW to come back and collect everything. I've called four times. I've been given multiple days when they were allegedly coming--only for them not to show again. I've spent over an hour on the phone trying to get this resolved. Is this really my responsibility to get them to collect their materials? Randomly, without warning or notice, strangers showed up at my door and advised they were from "the Permit Guys" and JW instructed them to come out to inspect the work. No one from JW called us to ask if we would be home, reached out to schedule it, or informed us someone would be coming to our home. Just strangers showing up unexpected and unannounced to my home. In the meantime, they offered me a "free draining cleaning." A $50 value on their website, and a service they've performed for free for us before. Just all around disappointing customer service. And by the way, the ducts now make loud, strange sounds. read more
