I would like to express the professional service provided by Minhas Ukani for rescuing me from having to endure cold water due to my tankless water heater glitch. He was nearby and was and stealthily maneuvered his latter to reach the unit. He was able to reset it but will be replacing circuit board. He very professional and also suggested I consider a WiFi system that will allow me to troubleshoot any issue in the future. Tech Julian Hernandez arrived on time for an annual HVAC tune-up per maintenance contract. He was courteous and competent. He made sure all parts of the system worked to the spec. He checked air coming out of all vents in all rooms. He also vacuumed the Return Air Box and interiors of the furnace, and changed filter for me. I needed a new thermostat as I had no AC or heat for the past year. Nate was the technician that serviced my system. I had to get a replacement thermostat as my old one was no longer functioning. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me very clearly. We went with the best option for me in regard to the cost and value. Today's visit was to completely clean out our attic, seal it against the outside and install new insulation. Nick M was my first contact and he explained what the job would entail very well. Victor and Nick (different one ) arrived promptly and were extremely friendly, kind and motivated. What I thought would've taken three days they were able to finish in a day and a half. Extremely disappointing recent experience with JW. I had them come out to replace some duct work on my property. The contract I received was $6k higher than we'd been quoted, so I had to call to have that resolved. Sketchy. I was told a day they would come out and do the work. They didn't show. No warning, no notice. I took the day off work and they did not show. I had to call to ask what was going on, and I was told, "Woops." No one apologized. I rescheduled anyway, given that I'd previously had good experiences. The workers came out and did the work. The workers left eight giant bags of stuff (and a bunch of trash) on my property and told me they would be back to collect it the next day. They did not come back the next day. I have since spent the last month trying to get JW to come back and collect everything. I've called four times. I've been given multiple days when they were allegedly coming--only for them not to show again. I've spent over an hour on the phone trying to get this resolved. Is this really my responsibility to get them to collect their materials? Randomly, without warning or notice, strangers showed up at my door and advised they were from "the Permit Guys" and JW instructed them to come out to inspect the work. No one from JW called us to ask if we would be home, reached out to schedule it, or informed us someone would be coming to our home. Just strangers showing up unexpected and unannounced to my home. In the meantime, they offered me a "free draining cleaning." A $50 value on their website, and a service they've performed for free for us before. Just all around disappointing customer service. And by the way, the ducts now make loud, strange sounds. read more

It would be hard to conceive of a more incompetent operation than this one. I used them many years ago and had a bad experience and stopped using them, but the memory of that had faded and I decided to give them another try. My heater was making a loud noise, so I asked for it to be inspected. The two guys they sent out were very nice, explained the problem, and said it would be a $7K repair, but they needed to order a part. They left, saying that someone would be in touch the next day about scheduling. Weeks passed, nobody called. Finally, I reached out and was told that the part wouldn't come in for another month. A month later, the part comes in, and 3 new guys showed up, not the same people who came out to start with, and they start to make the repair. They get halfway through with the system partially disassembled and then realize -- THEY HAVE THE WRONG PART. The part, which we waited for a month for, is the wrong one. At this point, the weather has gone from winter to spring, I don't need the heater anymore, so I just asked them to put it back together like it was when they got here, which they claimed to do. Only now MY A/C DOESN'T WORK. I was having no problems with my A/C or heating, it was working just fine, but now it's not because these guys broke it. So now not only is the heater noise not fixed, neither the heat nor the A/C work now AT ALL. I call and complain and they send one of the guys who were originally out here to check it out and he discovers that HE CAN'T FIX MY A/C. Whatever the previous 3 doofuses did, they screwed up the A/C so badly that he can't even repair it. So he's going to call back to the office and they're going to send ANOTHER team out to fix the A/C and heat (that wasn't broken when we started) and complete the original repair that I asked for. Only you're not going to believe what happens next -- the new team they send CAN'T FIX IT EITHER. They're here again with THE WRONG PART. AGAIN. Normally, these guys would be fired, but they've left my HVAC in worse condition than it was when they started and now the repair I'll have if I go someplace else will be even higher than it was when I began. So now I'm stuck dealing with these people who clearly have no idea what they're doing. INSANE. So my original instincts to stop using these guys was correct and I STRONGLY suggest you avoid them as well. read more

We had a long standing issue with our 20 year old furnace where it would reset constantly. David Ocampo came out to inspect our unit and he took the time and care to take the unit apart and explain what each component did, and he discovered we had a cracked heat exchanger. no other hvac guys were able to diagnose the problem! we had to replace our furnace and JW sales Nick suggested a heat pump for cooling and heating, instead of a traditional furnace, which is the more eco friendly option. we loved this idea. Felipe, Francisco and David installed the unit quickly and fixed all the issues with our old janky setup and get it up to code. Again, they took the time to explain everything they did clearly and left the worksite much cleaner than it started. you do pay a little more with these guys but they do everything by the book and they have real pride in their work. We found him to be very knowledgeable and thorough - a real pro. He performed two minor repairs for us for no additional charge and also gave us good advice on a couple of issues. Next, Ernesto serviced our A/C unit, and did so in a professional and efficient manner. He was friendly and clearly very good at what he was doing.
