The rating should actually be 3 1/2 stars, but since we can't do half stars, I opted for three, as it definitely not a four star resort. We stayed at a lakefront room, which was a great location to view the hotel's New Year's fireworks (which were amazing, btw), as well as other fireworks around Orlando. The room itself was really clean and nicely laid out. Lazy river and pool was really nice, and it's great that you can also go to the pool at the adjoining Ritz (where you can use all amenities and charge to your room). The food was pretty bad everywhere except the bodega and room service. Dining at Citron, Quench (by the pool), and the lobby (sushi) was all mediocre at best. Utensils in Citron were dirty. My biggest problem was with inconsistency within the hotel. The first night I had to ask for our room to be cleaned three times before somebody came at 8:45pm to finally make the room up. It seems housekeeping changed shifts, and our request for lost somewhere in the middle. Later, we were told by the concierge that we could eat at Citron and have drinks on the patio. When we went down there, the hostess informed us that the restaurant was only doing a pre fixe menu. I know that sounds like I'm being picky, but isn't that something a concierge should know? Overall, it's a nice resort. I think the cloudy, kind-of-chilly weather also didn't help...in that most people would spend all of their time at the pool if it was hot and sunny. But because we spent a lot of time in the hotel, we were able to see that it's not actually a four-star resort...more like three and a half. read more

My expectations for JW are high. This place really deserves 2 stars, but the pool is awesome, getting them in to the 3 star zone. The room is fine. I have a nice view and the bed is comfy. But I've been locked out of my room three times in two days and the front desk isn't good about it. I've started carrying my wallet around the conference because I can never get in my room when I need it and loss prevention takes too long. The last time I went to the desk, the agent blamed me for putting my phone near the key. She said it locks you out of your room. That would've been good info to share upon checkin, or at the other two unlocking/rekeying issues. However, I tested the theory when I was checking out. No. My phone does not deactivate my key. Thank goodness. That would be even more ridiculous than their terrible keying/service. read more

A beautiful hotel and surrounding grounds. Our room was large and comfortable overlooking the lagoon style pool. The bed was super comfy which is a must for me at a luxury hotel. Service was excellent with turn-down service and courteous help at every turn. The pool is amazing. It has a few hot tubs and a meandering lazy-river type winding its way through the lush tropical landscape. You feel like you've been transported to another country. There are also some bars nearby where you can order your tiki drink to sip as you float along. I've tried the restaurant Primo- the first time it was horrible but management did go to extremes to make things right and on the second visit (comped by management) it was much better. The night we stayed at the JW we ate at the adjacent Ritz and made that long walk (half a mile in heels) through the corridors back to our hotel. The JW is everything you would expect in this class of hotel. Definitely one of the nicest hotels in Orlando. read more

I don't know what the room rate is, but my company booked a room here for several oncology team members. The hotel staff are eager to please and as with many JW Marriott hotels it is upscale, it is really great for business travel. If you are looking for seclusion and time away from the "theme park" Orlando, then, this place is probably going to sit well with you. I've seen a few children at the hotel, but for the most part, this hotel attracts conference/convention go-ers and a more ADULT crowd. I haven't seen too many kids running around. It is next door to the Ritz and is only a SHORT drive away from SeaWorld and the Convention Center. It is about 20 minutes away from Universal and 30 minutes away from Walt Disney World/Downtown Disney. **JUST A WARNING**It really isn't walking distance from anything, everything (except the SPA at the Ritz and the golfcourse at the Ritz-Carlton) is DRIVING distance. Oh and of course, this place is not cheap. They offer Valet Parking (I don't know if they have self-park - so check the website). The rooms are clean and spacious. Every room has a flat-screen television and a sitting area. Wi-fi is available at an extra charge. There are in-room movies and a mini-bar. The bathroom has marble counter tops, porcelain tub and a separate standing, glass shower. Oh, but one complaint that I have is with regards to the dry cleaning services. They do have a disclaimer waiving liability of the damage done to items sent in for processing on the dry-cleaning form...but they ruined 1 of my silk designer dresses, which I had spilled some wine on at a dinner (they didn't charge me for the "processing" of it) and I felt totally robbed, honestly. So, I subtract 2 stars for that. :( ..sorry...the dress was EXPENSIVE...and I've never had difficulty with my dry-cleaning at home of this garment. read more

This is a nice hotel but even know the price may be cheap they nickel and dime you to death so it will add up. They charge $28.00 for self parking and you will be lucky to find a parking spot within a 1/4 of a mile of the hotel. They also do not have self park handicap parking here and they only have valet handicap parking so you are forced to tip I guess because that is your only option. They charge you a resort fee and you will be lucky to find a chair by the pool and here is another kicker, they only allow you two tubes per room and if you want anymore than that you need to pay $10.00 a tube, when was the last tine you came to a family resort with two people??? Breakfast for adults is $30.00 per adult and $14.00 per child which is outrageous! Let's get back to the chairs and I actually heard this from people sitting next to me. They were not even guests of the hotel and he said to his friend "I come here on the Weekends with my family and just pay for parking which you can do at the gates and spend the day for $28.00"! He had a cooler and makes up a name and room number for his two tubes because all they do is write it down an a clipboard and once you leave they will never see you again and then buys the other two on his credit card. There are no wristbands here to verify you are staying here nor any towel cards so once you pay for parking you are all good. I am sure many people do this because this pool is PACKED! I am a Lifetime Platinum and trust me Marriott Reward members you are better off going to Marco Island because they actually monitor their pools and guests with wristbands, towel cards, staff monitoring saved chairs along with ample parking. So I traveled 3000 miles across the country to attend a one day meeting in Orlando...well....at least the hotel is very nice! Two of my favorite JW's around the world are in Hong Kong and Bangkok. The JW in Hong Kong is located on top of Pacific Place, one of the nicest shopping mall in HK. You can basically take the elevator down to the mall, shop to your heart's content, bring your stuff back up to your room and come back down and shop some more! The JW in Bangkok, I like b/c one of my favorite Thai restaurants is across the street from it and it's located in a very convenient area close to the shopping district. Anyways, I'm getting of on a tangent. This resort is right next door to the Ritz-Carlton and share common grounds which is very beautiful. The lobby is very grand and there's a very nice bar-lounge area beyond the lobby. The hotel offers plenty of amenties from spa service to very nice restuarants to golfing...hey, you're in Orlando...it's a family playground! Unfortunately, given the short time I'm here, I'm unable to experience all the amenities of the hotel but this hotel is truly a stiking resort property that has something for everyone and is only minutes from the Magic Kingdom. read more

Wonderful staff and a clean and attractive property. My granddaughter loved the lazy river. Rooms were clean and fairly large. We had two balcony rooms and got to see a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral. Restaurants had very good food. Service was attentive. Prices were normal for a resort hotel. I can see this hotel deeply appealing to certain people and not at all to others--for me it was truly a mixed bag. For the price of a room, I really would hope the airconditioning could be set lower than 72 in mid August in Orlando. Each room seems to have a thermostat, but while you can set it to your 68 sleeping temp as often as you'd like, it corrects itself back to 72. I didn't have a way of measuring, but I don't think it was ever even as cool as 72 in the room. I would estimate around 75. It was constantly cycling, so I suspected their system couldn't keep up with demand. Maybe that doesn't sound too bad, but again--maybe you like warm rooms. I don't. The separate bath and shower was very luxurious. Just wish the tub could've been a little longer. I loved the provided aromatherapy spa toiletries. The bed and bedding were all very plush and comfortable. As others have noted, the bed *is* absurdly high, so anyone of even average height has to hoist themselves on the bed. I tried investigating what was under the bed to make it so, but results were inconclusive. The lazy river and pool were a unique amenity and one I especially enjoyed. No where is the pool very deep at all though. If laps are your thing, I don't think you will like it. I loved the look of the provided coffee/tea chest and complimentary spice cookies. You will need the provided bottled water because Orlando has terrible tasting water, so it was very smart of them to provide bottles. The coffee maker is one of those terrible tray system single serves, perhaps to encourage you to visit the downstairs Starbucks. The lobby is probably the grandest lobby I've ever walked in flip flops in. I don't know if it has longer weekend hours, but the Kitchen restaurant/bar doesn't open until 5. Even the bar. You are missing out some day-drinking profits, people. After 5 though, the Kitchen is a good option for relatively inexpensive flat breads and small plates dinners. As is obvious from other reviews, this resort is isolated and I'd suggest budgeting quite a bit if you plan to dine on premise. read more

Total disaster with terrible service. We arrived late at 1 am at night and were given keys to a room whose door battery was dead. So we had to go all the way back to concierge to have them get security. Security let us in and said that engineering would come the following morning at 11am. Fast forward, engineering comes knocking at 7:30am. Woke us up after a long night of travel - we then asked if he could come back at 11am as scheduled. We were a little upset to be woken up so early, but we figured these things happen. We left the room and hotel at 10:30am for some activities, and came back around 3pm - door lock is still dead and we can't come in. My girlfriend had to take a conference call in the hallway outside of our door. Discussed the issue with the hotel and the door lock was fixed, but didn't seem like anyone cared. Not the type of service I'd expect from a hotel charging prices like these... I've never left a negative review. Guess there's a first for everything read more

This is a 5-star, over-the-top, luxury hotel; probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in - not usually my type of luxury; I was tagging along with a friend to a conference. Driving up to the hotel is a beautiful experience; the grounds are meticulously manicured with beautiful greenery all around. When you enter the lobby, you are taken aback by the beauty of it and the architectural details. It is magnificent. There's a stairwell near the elevators that is really amazing! All the employees are SO nice and welcoming and pleasant; they all smile and greet you warmly. Check-in was a very nice experience. The self-parking lot is kind of far from the hotel, so a very nice kid gave us a ride with our luggage in a little cart - he was so nice and helpful. (The self-parking situation is atrocious but I'll address that last.) There is also valet parking (my advice - USE IT!). My room was normal-sized and nothing special; it wasn't any bigger than a regular hotel. What made it stand out was the very comfortable beds and linens. I think those sheets were ironed!! It was so luxurious to get into that bed at night. There was no frig in the room, but there was a little coffee pot. There's a nice closet and plenty of storage space. Pretty-much a standard hotel room with a lot of nice, natural light. The A/C worked good - you want that in Orlando in the summer. The bathroom was far superior to any other hotel I have seen. It was huge with a tub and separate glass-enclosed shower. The sink was in between the two, and had beautiful marble countertops, and nice cubby holes to store your stuff. There were plenty of big, fluffy, clean towels and high-end shampoos and soaps. The pool was AMAZING. It was SO big that you can't even photograph it. There is a shallow pool for kids, some little riverways to float on inter-tubes, waterfalls, a hot tub with a waterfall, and, no matter how many people were there, it would never fill up because it is so huge. There are a million lounge chairs, and there's plenty of shaded areas, as well as sunny areas. The pool is really a masterpiece. Look at my photos; all the photos are of a different area of the pool. And, the pool overlooks a lake. Beautiful, really. The landscaping around the pool is just gorgeous! There are restaurants (and a Starbucks) and shops inside the hotel. There is fine dining, as well as other places to eat. All are expensive. The hotel is on a main road, so any way you drive about 10 minutes away from the hotel you will find shops, restaurants, etc. It is closer to Universal Studios than it is to Disney World; but, neither is really far. It's very close to Sea World and International Drive where all the Orlando tourist night life is. It is only minutes away from 528, which takes you to I-4 or to the Florida Turnpike, and the airport. It's only about a 15 minute drive to the big Florida Mall. I am giving this hotel a top rating of 5 stars; it actually deserves more. But, it wasn't without its issues, which I am going to address now. The hotel is EXPENSIVE. Very expensive. I would never choose to spend this kind of money on a hotel room. That being said, I could get VERY used to the luxury; I would just never be the one paying for it. My friend got a decent rate for a conference she was attending, so that was good; I was happy to freeload. There is a charge of $9.95 a day for the wi-fi. But, in the lobby you can get wi-fi free (I opted for that; I wasn't paying for wi-fi!) Pay for wi-fi - really?! Now, the parking. The parking situation is a nightmare. If you can afford to stay at this hotel, you can afford the valet parking - because the self-parking is where the hotel is totally lacking. First, the self-parking lot is FAR from the hotel entrance. Second, it's 18-bucks a day to park (seriously, with the price of the hotel, self-parking can't be free?). Third, I went out for a few hours and when I returned, the lot was FULL. There's an overflow lot, which I had to park in, and it's even a FARTHER hike to the hotel lobby. Oh, and I'm not done complaining about the parking. Your room key SUPPOSEDLY opens the gate to get you in and out. The 3 days I was there, it NEVER worked. And, not just for me, people were lined up every day trying to get out or in. One day, they left the gate in the up position, so that was good. On the day I left, I had to scream into a squawk-box to get them to open the gate. The kid who rides around in the cart was VERY helpful, but he has a lot of chores and wasn't always there. When I came back on the second day and there were no parking spots, he showed me where one was. But, there was only so much he could do. It is an INSANE parking situation that the Marriott should really address. Again, take my advice - if you stay here, opt for the valet! Save yourself the aggravation. read more

My boyfriend, mother, and I just got back from an amazing week long stay at the JW Marriott from Aril 27th-May 4th. From the moment we pulled up to the hotel we were impressed and could not believe we were in ORLANDO (felt like paradise)! Beth checked us in and was very friendly and informative about the different activities around the resort. We arrived at the hotel at 10am and our room was ready for us and we didn't need to wait. The grounds of the hotel were amazing and beautiful and we loved that the Ritz Carlton was adjacent to the hotel. We mostly used their grounds and pool during our stay and the service was professional and was always at your service for anything you needed. We rented a car for two days at the Hertz onsite which was convenient and quick. They always had a car available for us and it was easy to pick up and drop off each day we used their service. We went to Disney for one of the days and used the complimentary shuttle. The only downfall to this was that the returning times were 5:30 and 10:30. I know that is it complimentary, but a third option would be even better due to the fact the 5:30 seems too early and 10:30 too late. We ended up taking a taxi home from the park instead of waiting until 10:30. The food at the hotel was great. I would recommend going to the Vineyard Grill at the Ritz for their breakfast buffet. It was $2.00 more than Citron at the Marriott. The service was better and the food selection was bigger. I did not enjoy the service at dinner at Citron because the table was never cleared off properly and we could never find our waitress. The food was still good, but the service was a turn off. If you are looking for a hotel that is classy, clean, and all around gorgeous and tropical the JW Marriott is the place to stay in Orlando. You do not feel like you are near Disney, but you can still enjoy the parks which are only a few minutes away. We will definitely come back and spread the word! read more

Stayed here for a business trip. Staff has been very attentive, gym is top notch and the restaurants on site have been way beyond expectation. My only reason for not giving it five stars is that there aren't any real options for cheap dining and they need to re-paint the doors to the men's bathrooms. I know that sounds silly, but to see the doors so discolored and grimy was a bit off-putting. Attention to detail matters at a place as pricey as this. Nonetheless, a great place. read more

This JW is fine all around, above average I'd say. All the staff whom I've encountered was courteous, friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and neat. My double-queens room was spacious, especially the bathroom! It's huge. It has both a tub and a shower. It was so sparkling clean that it could almost be a spa experience. Oh, by the way, their room service sucked big time. Food was lame, looked extremely sad and just plain awful. Disgusting. What the hell is wrong with those fries? The coleslaw almost made me gag. Free wi-fi at the conference area was really reliable and fast. For the paid in-room wi-fi, it was reliable as well. Yes, I was there for a conference. What else!? read more

I visited this hotel last spring, and let's just say, I was pleasantly surprised. A conference was being held at the JW, and if you know what I mean, I've always been more of a California girl than a Florida girl. But, I'm not going to complain about traveling anywhere with warm weather, as we were still experiencing the Polar Vortex here in Wisconsin. Upon arrival, I was blown away by the classy décor and interior of the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes. Let's be real, when you think about Florida, cheesy and tacky usually come to mind; however, this place is anything but. Our room was very nice and clean, accompanied by a huge and spacious bathroom. A plus was that we had a balcony overlooking the (side) pool area. The service we received from staff/housekeeping was excellent over the four days. I never had any issues, and all were very polite. I tried several restaurants on the hotel grounds, as they were home to a few of the cocktail parties during the conference. Wonderful food, great wait staff! The pool area was extremely large, and the lazy river was perfect. There were several kids around, but that's never bothered me. Sometimes it was hard to find a pool chair, but again, that's to be expected when you're in Florida during March! The servers in the pool area were all very friendly and helpful. During my stay, I booked a spa service at the Ritz (connected to the JW). That, too, was excellent and a perfect way to spend a stormy afternoon. To be completely honest, I wasn't expecting to like the hotel as much as I did. Great job, Marriott. I will recommend this to others looking for a place to stay in the Orlando area. The only reason I knocked it down to 4 stars was due to pricing on some items ($14 for a small tube of aloe!) and the fact that their Wi-Fi was not working almost the entire time I was there. The conference had their own Wi-Fi I was able to connect to during my stay, but that would have been a bit of a problem if I didn't have that option. read more

Ok so yea this is a really really nice pile of bricks. The room is great, bed is soft, view is cool...and the pool is very awesome. The pool is also great for kids. Everyone is super friendly. The reason for the four stars, however, is the on property meal choices...mainly breakfast. So your only real choice to have a breakfast meal is a 35 dollar per person buffet or you can go to Starbucks for coffee and a muffin for 15 dollars. Anyway that's my issue with this resort. I know it's a small thing but goodness...$35 for breakfast. The pool bar and grill is pretty good with food and the other hotel restaurant is good. Well it's really nice setup and would definitely recommend this place and will hopefully be back. read more

This was without a doubt the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. It was perfect in every way. The best service, the best cleaning staff, the best decorations, the cleanest rooms I've ever seen. The sheets were blinding white, and so were the towels. The showers were full body spray, the tub had jets, the room had a balcony and a view. The pool staff brought me fruit and ice water while I sat and read. I have never stayed at a nicer hotel (and I've stayed at quite a few). This one is a must see. I'd take a vacation just to visit this hotel and stay a week. I didn't get to do the golf course, which looked amazing from my room. The heat can be a bit much (it is Florida after all). But I had a great time here, I highly recommend. read more

We stayed here for six nights while on vacation with our kids and granddaughter. What a beautiful property! I felt like I was in a palace, the lobby is so grand and elegant. We were greeted promptly at the front desk and our request to have an adjoining room with our kids was arranged with no problem. We felt very special as elite members and were informed of all of the amenities of the property. Our rooms (with balconies) were large, beautifully decorated and clean. The pool and lazy river area are gorgeous! The landscaping was immaculate and well-tended. The pool was clean and we loved the lazy river! The drinks at the pool bar were a little over-priced, even for a resort. My well drink of plain Jack Daniels and diet Coke was $15!! This was not a "tall" drink, it was served in a small cup, about the size you would get in a regular bar highball (which would cost $6-8 depending on where you are). I thought $12 for a glass of chardonnay for my daughter-in-law was about $3 more than it should have been. I realize the servers have a lot of ground to cover--the pool area is huge--but really? $15 for a well drink is way too much. I can't think of another "con" to this property. It is kept beautiful, in regal Marriott style, and should we come back, we would definitely stay here again instead of the Disney hotels (Disneyworld and Epcot Center are a short drive away). Being here allowed us to escape the frantic, kid-filled hotels on the Disney property, which was just as we desired. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, smiling, accommodating and helpful. Mr. Marriott should be proud! Keep up the good work on this great property!! read more

The property is very beautiful. The beds were comfortable (the pull out couch not so much), the staff friendly. A couple caveats though...they literally charge for everything here (seems to be typical of most higher end hotels though)... We asked about their shuttle to the Disney parks and were told we should purchase the 'resort' package at the front desk for an extra $30/day. The resort package included wifi access, gym access (I'm pretty sure that was included already though???), use of the Disney park shuttle (it stated on their website this was free???), and 2 inner tubes...the location is relatively isolated so if you do not have your own car or other means of transportation you are essentially stuck on the resort. There are a number of food options here but they are also quite pricey. My dad had lunch at the pool as we originally did not have a rental car. He got a sandwich and a beer for $40...yikes. The food and alcohol was cheaper at the Disney parks to our astonishment. Wifi is $15-20/day. Parking is $15-20/day...things are adding up quickly. No airport shuttle so if you don't rent a car, t costs around $40-50 for a traditional cab. If you didn't rent a car, you can do so through Hertz directly from the hotel. Hertz will drop off the car for you. Convenient? Yes! Cheap? No! It will cost you around $100/day. Do yourself a favor and take an Uber cab ($16) to the airport and rent one there ($25-30/day) if you, like us, did not plan ahead and find yourself stuck on the resort with a limited menu with exorbitant prices. The pool is only 3.5 ft deep (no diving please haha!) this didn't matter to me but my dad was disappointed. The pool isn't the shape of a traditional pool. It is more of a lazy river but there did seem to be a little lagoon like area. The hotel also has a sort of reciprocity with the Ritz next door and they have a beautiful ( also shallow) pool with fountains in a more traditional shape. So in sum, the hotel and grounds are picturesque. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is friendly. However, any extras will cost you and add up quite quickly. Do not assume anything is included. This may be one of those cases of you get what you pay for. You might pay a pretty penny in the end, but it's a nice experience. You won't find any deals here, but if money isn't an issue, I highly recommend this hotel! read more

Very disappointed in our first 3 hours here. Let's see, where do I start: 1. Pool restaurant staff is severely understaffed. We put our flag up and 45 minutes later, no service. Proceeded to go to bar for drinks and waited 20 minutes for someone to take my order. 2. Check in, get keys to room and they don't work....twice. Finally get into room. 3. Order room service and guaranteed to have it in 30 minutes or less, I sit here at 40 minutes with no food Extremely disappointed. I stayed at the JW Marriott in Chicago 2 weeks ago and had awesome service and awesome experience on my son's 10 year old trip. Staff, service and facility were outstanding. Maybe the GM for JW Marriott could go spend some time in Chicago and learn how to run a high end hotel. read more

Property and restaurants are up to par with the rates and the JW Marriott brand. We literally checked in for less than 48 hours for a business trip. We left our room the first day to go to a trade show at 8 am and upon returning at 3:30 to freshen up , our room was not cleaned. The bathroom we had this time did not have a shower , but more like a motel bathtub. When calling to complain , the person to answer the call was like a robot and reprimanded me for using the word shitty when I was describing the bathtub. Needless to say, we just moved across the street to the Ritz to have a clean room. Too bad the staff isn't trained to the same level as Ritz. Get your rooms cleaned earlier than four especially if the Privacy tag is removed at 8 am. read more

Stayed at the JW Marriott before that was a fantastic and gorgeous hotel with a super nice swimming pool area. It's right next to the Ritz Carlton and has beautiful grounds to walk around. We stayed here for 4 nights in mid March. The lobby was spectacular, the service impressive and the rooms were impeccably clean. I can't say enough about the large pool area with a "Lazy River"! Our 6 yr old didn't want to ever leave the pool area. I have to say that the hotel and the pool area were definitely the highlight of our vacation, not the parks. read more

We stayed here over the December holidays, this hotel is everything a luxury hotel should be. The only complaint I have is room service prices, after all was said and done to have spinach/artichoke dip (appetizer) delivered was $30!! Granted this is an award winning hotel I was still put off and will never have room service delivered during my stay. Like I said, only complaint. Back to the hotel! The décor, staff and rooms are beautiful. Pulling up to the hotel was lavish landscape and gorgeous entries. The lobby had ornate Christmas trees and lights, the front desk staff was incredibly welcome and happy. We did not get to try the restaurants or stores this time around but we have booked multiple rooms for a weekend in March with family. Once we entered the room we jumped onto the dreamy bed, sheets and comforter are like butter! We had received a balcony room overlooking Disney and were able to see 3 firework shows (Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios). The view also overlooked the lazy river (will use next time around), pool and extravagant grounds; the bridge over water and golf course scenery were perfect. I recommend a high floor if possible. The wait staff was impeccable, from valet, delivery, front desk and cleaning. The JW Marriott will be our future go-to location. read more

I travel a ton and I think I'm tough to please when it comes to hotels BUT this hotel is amazing. I don't think I've slept in a more comfortable bed. My room was spacious and overlooked the pool and golf course. The carpet looked brand new (bonanza!). The staff was really good as well. I will definitely be back. read more

This is my go-to hotel when I just want to relax, relax, relax. First, the lazy river is simply amazing plus you can bring your own floats! The rooms are clean, clean, clean! I'm talking not even a small stain on the carpet! The beds are so comfortable it feels like your laying in a bed of giant marshmallows. Love the balcony for maryjane purposes. Wink wink. Pool is open till 11pm, and YOU MUST AND I REPEAT YOU MUST do the lazy river at night! TRUST ME!!! It will be the highlight of your stay! read more

Stayed for a staycation and loved it!!! We had reservations for the Ritz Carlton but we were there 20 min saw the room and checked out!!! For the price the room was old,outdated,and not family friendly or human friendly for that matter!!! So went across the way to this place and loved it !!! The resort grounds are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! The staff is amazing, and we had fun every second we were there!!! Bathrooms very nice and spacious!!! The decor is beautifully dated and the views from the large balcony suites over looking the pool are amazing!!!!the balcony is a little old looking as well as not completely child proof! At least ours was not so spacious but if you do t have young ones such as babies or toddlers you should be fine! Hope you have as much fun and also an amazing experience as we did!!! read more

The property is lovely. However, this is a very expensive place to stay, eat, and drink. what they don't tell you while making a reservation is that the property is under construction. the pool deck is a mess and blocked off in several places. The waterfalls and jets for the lazy river aren't working. The room present well and the beds are comfortable. however, the A/C did not work properly. I finally cranked it down to 62 degrees.... nothing it never got cool. The hallway is cold. I was literally thinking about sleeping with the hotel door open. the TV remote, fairly minor issue, wouldn't control the power or the volume to the TV. very aggravating. overall I was rather annoyed considering the cost. $40 per day for amenities fee, even with all of the construction going on. $34+ per day for parking, really absurd! When you add all of the costs together, I was really left feeling completely ripped off. Ddoubtful I will ever return. read more

It's a fancy place. I was there for a conference and never left the hotel, so was not in the position to appreciate the grounds, amenities or the architecture of the facility. Check-in was easy. No porters asked if I needed assistance to my room. Interesting. Room was fine and dandy. Two beds. Sititng chair. Desk and chair. Wi-Fi for $15.99/day (are you kidding???). Servi-bar. Safe. Bathroom had the requisites. Including a phone at the commode. Hmm! Watch it in the tub . . . there are no non-slip strips! TV didn't work first night. Phone on the nightstand didn't work first night. I was there for three nights, and there were not enough hangers. USA Today delivered first morning, but not after that. Just sayin'. Couldn't figure out how to work the alarm on the clock, because it was a clock, a radio, a CD player, a mystery noise of ocean sounds and crickets, an iron, a crockpot and a vacuum cleaner! Bed turn-down was superfluous! Who cares! Cost nearly $800 for three nights. Extra star for chefs in the lobby near the lobby bar offering amuse bouche of goat-cheese-stuffed cherry tomatoes (skinned and hollowed) with fresh basil, and a salmon napoleon with creme fraiche beautifully proportioned on a stabilizing yet delicate piece of wheat bread. We did step and repeat on those amuse bouche!! read more

We stayed at JW Marriott on the day of our wedding, it is a great hotel, we had a great view but we didn't enjoy the pool or everything else but the room and the room service was very nice!!! We recommend it! read more

This review is for the Conference Center only. I spent four days here in meetings but the hotel was actually booked, so I had to stay somewhere else. The meeting rooms were great and ready for us well before the time we needed them. The staff is very efficient at turning around the rooms according to their crazy schedules. Everybody I ran into who worked there was very nice. The constant flow of coffee was always a nice perk and the meals we had there were outstanding. You definitely get what you pay for when you attend events at places as nice as this. The few breaks I was able to spend outside were incredible. The landscaping was beautiful and it just made me wish I was staying there for pleasure so I had more time to really enjoy it. Overall, this was a great place for the conference and I just wish I could have gotten a room here too. I hope I get the opportunity to in the future! read more
