A few more people heard of the gathering, so our total group was 32 people. With just a few hours notice. On a Saturday night. On Valentine's Day. That was the first bit of magic, and the waitstaff continued with friendly, fast, and accurate service of all the kids and parents. The final act was the food, which was outstanding. The portions were huge and delicious. (I had the wings, and "hot" was definitely hotter than most other places. So, order accordingly!) This review is based upon both those experiences. I'll start with the wings. People have been telling me for years that I needed to try the Kitchen Sink wings at Beachland Tavern . I finally made it, and I'm legit mad at myself for waiting. The Kitchen Sink wings are one of my favorite new-to-me flavors in recent years. They give you an option of a smoked wing or a more traditional wing prep. I couldn't resist the smoked, and you really tasted the smoke flavor. I assume they finished them in the fryer because the wings still had a good outer texture. The sauce was tangy, with a bit of heat and a bit of sweet. Amazing. They'll tell you the components of the Kitchen Sink sauce if you ask, but I don't want to ruin it for people who may want to guess. Don't wait like I did. When I went for a drink at Happy Hour, I had a good time with my friends. It wasn't especially busy. Also, I didn't think they had a top tier craft beer selection. I loved the wings. Let's start with the overall cost of the order. It was absolutely Chuck full of stuff, including chicken and eggs and bacon and all manner of stuff and was really terrific for the price. It came with a side of dressing of my choice. Highly recommend. The bacon cheeseburger was huge with a thick patty cooked, medium to medium rare and was delicious with toppings, ranging from pickles and onions. Perfectly done absolutely delicious. I chose a side of cut fries that were crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. For fries that were delivered to my house from the restaurant They survived the trip well. The seafood combo was half a dozen large fried shrimp, and one large piece of fried white fish. The batter was light and perfectly done and very tasty on all of the fish. It came with coleslaw as well as tartar sauce, and the tartar sauce was very good. Overall, these three dishes were well prepared, delicious and worth the $56 for all 3.
