Keynoe is a very effective dog trainer. He worked with our 3 month old rescue puppy who dealt with separation anxiety. Throughout the course of 6 hours (split up amongst a few sessions), he dramatically improved our ability to leave our dog at home alone and have him tolerate the bath, among other things we really struggled with. Unfortunate unprofessional behavior prevented us from getting an idea of the full capabilities of this service. When the trainer arrived he asked me to step away from the door and started to yell at our dog. I obliged figuring he's a professional although I would prefer to first introduce each other and perhaps allow the trainer to see how the dog behaves to asses our needs. This went on for some time with the trainer banging furniture until my dog pooped all over the floor in fear and went outside. The trainer then tried to hard sell a higher cost program and explain strange examples of how dogs are excited like masturbating humans. At this point my wife was becoming uncomfortable and nervous so I asked politely if we could reset the situation. I let the trainer know the examples he was using did not fit our situation and that our dogs issue is he jumps up on people to kiss them in a loving manner and we wanted to curb the jumping. He's overall a positive dog and listens to all our commands. At this point the trainer was agitated and called me a liar. I politely stated this training is probably not the right fit for us. In response he continued to challenge us to prove our dog behaves while he would charge toward the dog and bang our dining table and chairs. I then asked him to leave and ended the session. The trainer stomped out grumbling how we are close minded and slammed our door. It was extremely disturbing. With all that said if the trainer had approached the situation more professionally I think he has potential. We would have liked to have an introduction and allow him to see how our dog interacts. After fostering a pitbull from the Animal Foundation we soon found out we were in over our heads and needed some help. He was chasing our cat and we wanted to find out if he had a serious prey drive or was just curious so we started looking for a behavioral specialist online to help us assess our situation. We found K-9 Behave through google and decided to give Keynoe a call. After a 20 minute phone call and mini consultation we decided we liked what we heard and set up an initial meet and greet. After a few sessions we found out Kai is just extremely curious about the cat so we decided to fully adopt him! He was never a "pet" and was just used for breeding so our work was cut out for us. It isn't an easy process training a dog but it is so rewarding when you start to see results. Kai still goes straight to his bed ("go sit") whenever I grab his food bowl! Keynoe also boarded him while we were out of town and we came home to a much more relaxed dog, it was great. You want to talk about truth? Okay let's do that. Truth, you came into my home on day one without any introduction with my dogs beforehand and proceeded to walk into the room where they are kenneled and began banging and slamming on their kennels as well as poking my dogs with a stick; causing my dogs to get worked up and anxious resulting in one of them biting the stick to protect herself and injuring her mouth. Truth, On the second session you were in my room getting one of the dogs to walk which somehow resulted her getting so scared she ran away from you and lost control of her bowels in my bathroom, closet and on my bed. Truth, as a responsible dog owner when you are noticing poor behavior and habits from your dog that you are not equipped to handle you turn to a professional dog trainer which is exactly what I did. As far as the dog fighting accusations go, I have never had my girls in a dog fighting ring. Yes they have gotten into it due to one of them having an issue with anxiety hence why I reached out to a dog trainer for help. And the last truth is that on May 6th around 8am you were on one side of the street walking my dog while I was on the other side when you proceed to lift my dog up off the ground, all four paws in the air by the slip leash around her neck resulting in her choking and gagging. Not only did you do it once but you did it twice. When I made the decision to end the session because I was too upset to continue you became defensive. Not only did you admit to me that you did it when I told you I was upset about it but you also admitted that you shouldn't have done it when my mother called you to get your side of the story. Now all of the sudden you won't admit you were in the wrong because everyone else is watching? Because at the end of the day you know what you did was wrong and your job as the dog trainer is to help guide me on how to work on and solve the issues my dogs are having, not traumatized them. I should have heeded the warnings from the other one star reviews because in my experience they were 100% correct. And while I'm here would you please send me a copy of our signed contract? We got the shelter dog that no would else would take, He was never in the front kennels, always in the back. I saw a video of him and he was so beautiful I had to ask why no one was taking this dog, he was also young. With the passing of our beloved Gracie we headed back to Henderson animal shelter, to look for another dog.(no dog could replace her but our belief is grieving is ok, but saving another life is the right thing to do.) Before my Girlfriend & I found Keynoe, we called a few trainers who sounded like they knew what they were talking about, but the 'programs' they offered came up to early in the conversation. It felt more of a sales pitch than a consultation. I'm all for spending money, but how about you come and meet my dog first. This is where Keynoe came in. We called him after business hours where most people probably wouldn't answer their calls. Not Keynoe. If I remember correctly, it was close to 10pm. He not only listened to to all of our concerns & questions, but he never mentioned prices etc. All he cared about was the first initial contact with our pup. With no hesitation he agreed to meet us the next morning. Long story short, Keynoe was extremely effective in changing the way our Pitbull lives amongst Humans, and changed the way we live along side our pups (we have a French Bulldog as well) Something that A LOT of dog owners can't comprehend. It's a two-way street. If you don't consistently use commands with your dog, exercise them daily or teach them what is off-limits, you're gonna end up with excess stress that you & your Dog don't need. Yes some dogs can't be fixed no matter how hard you try, but I know a lot of Dog owners that expect their K-9's to be obedient in public when they barely train them at home. Please use extreme caution and read the reviews left by those that had negative experiences with this trainers.   I truly wish I had paid better attention to them or made contact with them to discuss his treatment of their dogs.. I had recommended K9 behave to my son after finding them on Yelp.   To help with my granddog because she had been showing some aggressive behaviour lately. She and her sister have been in some fights in the past and we knew we needed help. She is otherwise a super sweet baby girl and has never shown any aggression to my small dogs or any other animals in the neighbourhood or any other humans.  Definitely needs some behaviour training because I knew that it will be best for her.  My son made contact with K9 behave And the way he described the initial interaction was terrorising. I am willing to do anything to keep my grandbabies safe and give them the best life.   My son also new this might be the best treatment plan for her so he agreed to follow his plans. I was not aware that the training meant to inflict pain and suffering and terrorise my granddogs.  She had a laceration on her lip from where he was poking her with the stick while she was in her kennel.  He incited her aggression with the premise that he needed to see how she behaved when she was attacked.  She had rope Burns around her neck from the hangman leash or rather "slip leash" he used on her. But we had to try and trust the process. We Terminated our contract with him after 3 sessions because he hung my granddog by her leash twice, as in off the ground strangling her.  Leaving rope burns on her neck.  He states she nipped at him (that no one else witnessed, not even my son that was there with them) she has never ever shown any aggression to any humans other than THIS trainer.  Again, he wanted to illiset this aggressive behavior from her with the premise of correcting the behavior. I called to attempt to get a refund on monies that were paid for services not rendered and he refused. I financed this training and felt I needed an explanation.   During our conversation he raised his voice to me  when I asked to listen to his side of the story that this was simply a conversation not meant to be an argument, his aggression got worse.  This trainer when you have a disagreement with him becomes verbally aggressive, threatening and outrageously slanderous. We came to you for guidance, to educate us and my grandogs. We trusted you. I am so disappointed that we allowed this trainer to torture my grandbabies. Please use your best judgment when choosing a trainer.  But I would think twice before going with this trainer. Although I do not appreciate this trainers attempt at justify his behavior and "training" practices I am the one you were paid by. So yes I was a client. I at no time made any slanderous remarks in my review or during our conversation as you have. Yes I am speaking as a third party to find out what happened. This is a review with a purpose. My grandbabies are not perfect but I love them more than anything. They are loved and well cared for. We sought guidance from a professional trainer to protect my granddogs and to train them to be better dogs. Yes I wish we had done this sooner but we are doing it now! My boyfriend and I have decided to hire Keynoe to train our pit bull/boxer canine. She is 6 years old and has behavioral and socialization issues that we have been unable to solve on our own. If you love your pet, don't call this guy. I have a 15 pound pug mix. Only has problems with separation anxiety and peeing inside. Keno came over and within a few minutes my dog was shaking because he was so scared of him. Keno told us to let him walk my dog to work on the separation anxiety. He completely disappeared with my dog and then when I found him, he had my dog pinned to the ground in a convenience store parking lot. I'm aware of alpha rolling and yes, it can be effective for aggressive large dogs, but not on an anxious small dog. This guy has no business training dogs. read more

5/5 would recommend for anyone looking to train their dog. Kenoe makes training look super easy and was patient with us learning. Had our first session for my 2 year old retriever mix that has a history of fear aggression. My dog is very aggressive towards strangers especially in the home but Kenoe was able to manage him on a leash within 15 minutes! No use of prong/choker/shocking collar needed. Kenoe was able to show us effective ways to handle him with just a leash and commands. It was a hands on session where he showed us first and then had us try it ourselves with assistance. What an experience! Keynoe transformed our puppy. This is THEA training for life to help the tutors and the dog (s) to live better together. Keynoe is amazing. He is straight forward and coaches you to help you and your dog. My advice: listen to him even in the beginning you may see your dog being uncomfortable.
