My New Year's resolution was to support more local and small businesses, so I decided to try KH Photo to make copies for our save-the-dates. I dropped off my photo, explained what I wanted, and was told they'd call me later that day. It was getting close to closing time and I hadn't heard back, so I called. It definitely slipped their mind to call me. I was also nervous because this is our one and only copy and worried that they might misplace it. Anyways, we went over everything again, including pricing, and I was told it would be ready the next day by noon. I came back after work, hours after I was told it would be done. It still wasn't ready. They had to locate my original photo and print/cut everything on the spot while I waited. To their credit, the edits (reducing blur and glare) turned out well, and the attendant was apologetic throughout. However, I also had to return again to pick up my original photo, which they again had trouble locating. Overall, the final product was decent, but the process felt disorganized and inconvenient. I don't usually expect discounts, but given the multiple issues, it would have been nice and I probably wouldn't have written this review. Can't say I recommend them. read more

Came here to have our newborn's passport photo taken. Fernando was awesome! He was busy, but was patient with us trying to wake up our newborn for the photo. Once we got our baby to wake up, he got the passport photos ready in about 10 mins. Fernando was knowledgeable about passport photo requirements. Fast & efficient! I agree with my fellow Yelpers on the glowing reviews. I was in & out within 15 minutes! A few minutes to take pics, a short wait till they get developed and walah...all done! No issues. No worries. No dramas. Brilliant! I didn't get the name of the gent that helped me out, he might be the owner or the manager: Asian gentleman with Grey hair, glasses and a mustache. This guy is fast and efficient. I love the fact, he lets you take a look at your pictures before he prints them out for you...Big plus, not many places allow you to check your pics and approve or disapprove them. Mr. Huan did a beautiful job of enlarging old black-and-white photos for my mother's memorial service. We took him small photos that were on textured paper and discolored. This resulted in photos that were blurry when enlarged but Mr. Huan worked his magic to fix them. Mr. Huan went over the photos very carefully and skillfully to sharpen details and brighten them. I'm leaving this review based solely off of my experience coming in to develop and scan film because I'm kinda baffled.. Since Foto Express burned down I've been on a hunt to find a place to develop my rolls of film. This shop tried charging me $30 per roll which is insane. He cited "rising costs" but Foto express was charging $20 and Bay Photo Lab is only charging $15 per roll for development and scan! I was halfway considering paying the exuberant price until after running my card he goes "will be done in 7-days." I dunno maybe this guy does great work in other ways but he definitely needs to fix his pricing and time management. I've never had to spend so much time at a photo place to just drop off film with no one else in line. read more

The quality of his pictures are just amazing. If you want to get a passport photo taken for any of the typical countries, I recommend coming here. I've been here twice and I've been impressed with his timely and professional service. From the looks of all the pictures around, he does events as well as in studio shots. I always come here to develop my film. Fast turnaround. Once I got my pictures back in less than 24 hours. The price is on the expensive side but I find it reasonable because of the turnaround time, and he emails you the pictures so you don't have to provide a USB or make a trip back in, unless you want the negatives back. read more

There was a lady (maybe his wife) was so helpful and friendly. I told him I drove all the way from Oakland and he appreciated that. Highly recommend!!! Not treat customer good with bad attitude. Artistic skill is not also not professional just for the simple as passport photo. Maybe they are too busy that is why not care that much for the quality. Never come to there again. For the passport photo anyone should go else where. read more

To echo Lori's sentiment, the service was awesome and affordable. Mr. Nguyen was very friendly. I was actually late to the appointment like 15 minutes but he still welcomed me with a smile. There is a nice spacey bathroom for you to change in. After I got my picture in a tuxedo taken, Mr. Nguyen offered to go back to his house to pick up a cap and gown for another set of photos. There was another guy there too (I didn't get his name)--he was kind and he chatted to me & showed me photos he took while I waited for Mr. Nguyen. Overall they took about 20 pictures of me and we got to look at the photos immediately after the shoot. *Update: They stayed past closing time waiting for us to choose our package. Mr. Nguyen didn't rush us at all. Taken on Friday, will be picked up on Monday. Don't go to the wrong address: As of today, Google Maps has the old location. And don't forget to iron your clothes before you get your picture taken! read more

This is a fantastic spot! The guy I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. I went in with pictures on a USB and walked out less than 10 minutes later. They even threw in a piece of cardboard (for free) to prevent my 8x10 picture from folding. Glad I ran into this place! Before coming in, I had called to find out which equipment he used for passport pictures. I didn't want a camera used like the ones at Costco or Walmart (poor quality fixed lens camera). Pictures came out great with full frame Canon 5D Mark IV with 85m f/1.4 lens and strobe. Had a good conversation with owner afterwards. We needed two 8 x 10 copies printed of one digital image. Called ahead. The guy said they could do it on the spot for $6 each. I was not convinced about this place because the guy sounded unprofessional on the phone, but I was talked into it by someone who believes in supporting small businesses, and thought that the guy deserved a chance. So, we told him we were on our way, and drove there from Oakland. Got there: the whole mall was deserted; NO ONE in the parking lot, the lights were off, the door locked. What the...? We knocked. No one came. Started walking back to the car so we could call them, when the guy unlocks and opens the door; food dripping out of his mouth, and... uh... chewing. Me: Hi, I called about the two 8 x 10s. Him (in a rude tone): I'm eating lunch. Me: How long is your lunch? Him: 20 minutes. Me: We drove here from Oakland. Him: Well, you wait 20 minutes until I finish my lunch. He closes and locks the door. Really?? We drove 30 miles, and he's annoyed that his "lunch" at 1:40 pm on a Saturday was interrupted? How can this guy afford to turn away any business when he is located in an obscure, deserted parking lot on the outskirts of town?? So much for trying to support the little guy. Thumbs down. Shocked, we drove to Office Depot and got them printed within minutes for 75 cents each. . read more
