Joshua Stone, Service Advisor informed me there would be no problem and would take me in right away. The service department was very slow and 2 advisors were talking amongst themselves about football. They were going to take care of my rear tail light on my 2023 Ram truck that has 9000 miles which was not working. After 2 1/2 hours they did not even look at the truck. I then spoke to Joshua and asked why it was taking so long, I was the only person in the waiting room. He said they were trying to get the water out of the tail light and thought that would work. I decided to walk around the huge service building to see if I could see my truck getting worked on and it was still sitting in the parking lot. When I asked Joshua why he lied to me he said the mechanic lied to him. I told him to just get me a new rear tail light. He finally ordered it while I was there and I waited another 1 1/2 hours. I asked to have all the red warning lights cleared.There were 3 that came on, also to have my tires inflated to the proper levels. I paid and then left as I was pulling out of the driveway all my warning lights came back on. As I walked back in furious Tom Williams CX coordinator approached me quietly and pulled me aside and explained about all the problems they are having in the service department. Those problems included, hiring mechanics and training all service advisors. It is now 4:30 pm and Tom was shocked I was still there. He thought the repairs were done long before this time. I asked Tom to have the owner of the dealership call me. Being there for 4 1/2 hours I did a lot of walking around the sales lobby. I had 2 different conversations with 2 different sales people about what had happened to me in the service depart. Each sales person told me that the service department was a complete mess and one actually suggested I go to the Dodge Dealership in Hoover for my next repair. The whole process from test driving to signing of purchase contract was quick and very easy. All services connected to the car were set up by Austin and my car was detailed and ready to go by the time my contract was signed. Everything was done in a couple of hours. They informed me that service was first come first serve but that they did have the part in stock and I could stop by whenever was convenient for me. We got there this morning at 06:55, we were second in line. The service doors opened promptly at 07:00. We were greeted by a gentleman at 07:05, when it was our turn. He took our information and said that it shouldn't be "too long". He directed us to the waiting area and offered us coffee or water. My wife and I sat down and watched the news and chatted for a minute. At 07:30 we were called by the same gentleman and told our Acadia was ready to go. He had it out front, with the AC on waiting for us. He said it was a warranty recall and he would take care of the paperwork after we were gone but didn't want us to have to wait any longer. He thanked us for stopping by and we were on our way. Pulled out of the parking lot at 07:35. Not sure what kind of repair this was or how long it typically takes but was impressed by the customer service and friendly employees. Would highly recommend! Thank you Royal GMC!

I usually come on Saturday morning and get there before 8 o'clock when they open so I won't be waiting too long. My enclave had a recall on the airbag and I've been waiting for the airbag to come in. I've been dealing with Ralph Daniel and he is so professional and always gets back to me. The lobby is very nice with free water bottles and coffee. There is also a charging station for phones. Always come here because I know I'm gonna get my oil changed correctly. It's a little pricey, but worth it for the piece of mine.

They did a…read morefine job, so a few months later when the coolant light was on and the car was in limp mode, I didn't hesitate to call Mike and Mikes to do the job. I got the car towed 30 min from homewood just to use them. I also had purchased brake pads and rotors for the car and placed them in the trunk for them to put on. They originally quoted me an outrageous price to put the brakes on. When I explained that I was providing the parts, and I would just take it elsewhere, they went down (a little). I was mainly focused on diagnosing the reason why the vehicle was in limp mode and finding the coolant leak (I had been topping off the coolant for months). They called me and said the diagnostic was a thermostat housing, and also said I purchased the wrong size front brake pads, and I will have to pay them for the parts for the correct pads. Fine. I did. They said they would return my pads that were the wrong size and place them in the trunk (they didn't give them back and they aren't in the trunk). They then told me the car was in limp mode because there is an alternator problem. We called the shop that had just repaired the alternator a year ago (it was still in the warranty timeframe) together, and decided on a plan that the other shop would come and pick up the alternator and repair it and deliver it back. I received a call after the brakes and thermostat housing was replaced saying they had no room for my car, and that I would have to drive it myself or pay for a tow to the alternator shop. This is wild after I had just paid them $1000 for a thermostat housing and brake and rotor replacement. The alternator shop was in disbelief that Mike and Mike's asked me to do this, and told me specifically not to drive it over 40mph, do not use any electronics (no radio or headlights, no a/c) and keep it slow and steady. This was a long drive at 6am from Pelham to downtown Birmingham on Highway 31 in the RAIN. Once at the alternator shop, they checked the car, and laughed, "that's an old code from when the alternator was originally repaired, your car is fine". It's been month since I've gotten my vehicle back. The coolant reservoir is completely empty and the leak wasn't repaired like I was told. I am SUPER Disappointed with the quality of work (or lack there of). They seem to try to nickel and dime me a lot, and I am not down for that. For a woman, I have a pretty good basic knowledge of vehicles. I have only driven the car 4 times since I got it back. I will be taking my dollars elsewhere.

Very disappointed with their business practice. Drove in vehicle with damage to front bumper and…read morehood for a repair estimate and they tore the front end completely apart which made the vehicle no longer drivable. Then they state that the repairs would the exceed value of vehicle to our insurance carrier, State Farm. I go to the shop to request an explanation of what they found but couldn't get a proper explanation from a couple of their employees. I insisted that we go to the car to be shown the problems and she kept pointing to the radiator and saying the condenser is bad. What??? So I clean out the vehicle and prepare it to be taken away. They hand me some cardboard boxes to place everything into and loan me a tool to remove the license plate. As we are leaving, we speak with owner to make it clear that the car is ready to go. I also call State Farm to let them know the car is ready to be towed. Here is the problem... The insurance company sends a tow truck to pick up the vehicle and Riverchase collision refuses to release it. They say they don't have authorization from me to turn it over. BUT Riverchase doesn't call me to request "authorization" and the insurance company doesn't call me either, it is just a waiting game to rack up "storage fees". Riverchase Collision is playing this game to stick it to the insurance company and guess who the insurance is going to pass that bill on to? When I finally find out what is happening, that fee has reached $780! I reach out to Riverchase collision to confirm what they are doing and am told to fight the insurance company as it isn't right that this bill should be passed on to me. Believe me I tried to do that for months but there is no recourse since I have no leverage here. State Farm just subtracted the amount from the settlement check that is issued for the vehicle. If Riverchase had not disabled my vehicle, I could have driven it back home again. I didn't know about this storage fee scam that they were going to play; else I would have insisted that they return the vehicle to a drivable state. I have learned from this experience and will try to avoid getting caught with it in the future. I have also learned to never again do business with Riverchase Collision Center. Hopefully this review has helped you to watch out for this trap also.
