This is the place to make a dish EXACTLY the way you want it. The lunch and dinner services have a little different options for what's available on the line. That's where the slightly different price points come in. It seems that seafood is more prominent at dinner hours. We've been coming here for many years and love the food we create. The rice wraps are a must be make yourself stir fry burritos. It's really a 3 course meal if you have the stomach room for it all. They offer soups for 1st course, your all you can eat main entree, and ice cream for dessert. It's a large restaurant with great seating for a couple and for large groups. I would call ahead to check available seating for any group of 6 or more. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. We always leave very full and ready for a nap. read more

Don't take your kids here unless they are really good eaters. Brought my 9 year old, he barely ate one bite of his $12 meal. I asked for a to-go box and they wanted to charge $6.50!! Now- I could understand for people who've had 2-3 plates charging that but a child who didn't even fill up one bowl and didn't eat it!?!? You should amend your policy for children who only had one bowl! read more

We were so pleasantly surprised by Chang's! We got there at 4:40 not knowing the restaurant didn't open for dinner until 5:00. By the time it was 5, the line was around the restaurant! We got seated quickly and went right up to the buffet. I've been to other Mongolian bbq restaurants where the meat was not frozen and I was so grossed out. This meat was frozen and all of the veggies, etc. were fresh. I was very pleased with my food and the price, and loved the ice cream at the end. We'll be back! read more

What can I say that has not been covered in the other 5 star reviews? Well I have been getting this as take-out for lunch and I see very little on line about Mongolian Grill to go. Most people eat there but they do have a take-out option that is not even mentioned on their web site. Super easy and quick. All you do is tell the cashier when you come in that you want to take it to go and they give you two bowls to use and then you go through the line and tell the cook it is to go. They put it in a take out box instead of a plate. Then one of the staff asks if you want the soup, rice and wraps to go with it. Everything is well packaged for transport. Never had an issue and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It works out great except you only get one pass through the line, but that is okay for lunch! Always enough for a big lunch if you pile the bowls high, lol. This is a great place and well set up for to-go orders. One of our "Go-To" places for many years. Highly recommended. read more

We came here for lunch today. When we were seated, we were immediately asked what we wanted to drink, if we wanted rice, soup and wraps. I was impressed by the selection of ingredients and the quality. What I needed help with was the sauces. The places we go where we live have a "Mongolian bbq sauce" blend to add to the ingredients. Here, there were several items but we were unsure of how to blend the sauces to get what would be the right flavor combo. I used garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil and a little ginger but my meal was kind of dry and lacked flavor. Some places have a little guide to show which sauces and how much to create the flavor you're hoping for. This would be a great enhancement here! read more

Went to Changs Mongolian Grill in Gladstone tonight, their internet was down and they placed a note on the door explaining this. They could only accept cash, no debit or credit cards. my hot and sour soup was cold, they replaced it. Food appeared fresh and the place had lots of customers at 5:15pm. My girlfriend went to the bathroom and of the two toilets, one was out of order and there was a long line waiting for the lone toilet so she didn't use it. There are plumbers who work 24 hours a day 7 days a week in the city and the management should have called a plumber to address and resolved the toilet problem as well as calling someone to fix their internet service. This place suffers from very poor and incompetent management. I'm going to stay away from this place in the future. read more

This place is not only a fun place to eat but it's all you can eat and the service is great. Place can get very busy and overwhelming so be kind and patient to your servers and staff, the time you wait on a busy day for your stirfry is just as long as you would wait at a traditional restaurant but most days are less than 5-10 mins to get your food it's easy, fast and delicious! read more

The food all seemed fresh. My big complaint is the way they present/organize the sauces and oils... I was lost and my choices reflected it. Horrible. Daniella needs some more customer service training. She was cussing telling us how much crap she has to take etc etc Due to covid. She couldn't handle herself. She was aggressive and stoped away to get a manager we didn't ask for. she told us on the phone yesterday she could accommodate 10 people we would just be at separate tables, totally fine. . We showed up today and daniella told us she did tell us we had to stay 3 feet and she was going to place my 3 kids on one of the building and the adults on the other. Not acceptable so I told her we didn't mind waiting for the next available table so our kids could be near. She then told us it's gonna be about 45 mins to an hour and she would take our number and call us when it's ready. No problem. Then when asked if she wanted our number she said "it's first come first serve ". What?!!! Never will return. read more

This place has went downhill big-time! My brother came to town for a visit and this was one of his favorite places to eat years ago, so we went. The place was filthy. Many bowls were not clean. One of the cooks look like he hated his job. (Don't blame him) The meat and veggie bar was an absolute mess and the sauces had who knows what floating in them. Yuck! As we were sitting down we looked up had the vents and every single one of them was filthy and black and looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the place originally opened. This place looks like an episode off of Restaurant Hell! For a brief moment I thought we were on candid camera or being pinked. We also witnessed a guy exiting the restaurant, going out in front of the window and puking in the flowerbeds. Wow! I used to go here as a kid & I have no idea why I forgot about it until last weekend. I got so mad at myself! For how many years have I missed out on this gem?! & my family I've never taken as well. Disappointing first time, not sure we will be back Look, I get people trying to scam the system and take home a ton of left overs. However, charging double for a to go box is beyond absurd. They would rather have a half plate of food waste (sorry I couldn't finish my meal). I can see charging an extra 5.00 for a to go situation if you don't finish, but double the cost is just ridiculous. The servers were nice, but didn't really pay attention and asked for drink orders without actually giving us the menu to look at. When I was a kid, this was a Sizzler, and my grandparents loved it. Then it became Chang's, and my grandparents never went. I'm glad I've gone at least. The place is pretty simple, you get a table, and answer if you want soup (egg flower or hot n sour), rice or wraps, and what to drink. Then you're set to pick your dinner. The array of meats, noodles, and veg is good. The meat is you standard shaved, curled, frozen meat typical at Mongolian Grills, and there's a good selection of the usuals, plus lamb, fish, and shrimp. W several kind of noodles are next, then an assortment of veg (and pineapple). At the end is sauces, which aren't clear. The labels are in one row, while the sauces take up two, so it's guesswork. From there, take your bowl (or bowls, I recommend 2, one meat, one veg) to the high counter. The cooks throw it on the flat grill, and a few minutes later you have a plate of food. Head back to your table and all your drinks, soup, rice/wraps will be there. Not a bad place to go, and if you like spicy, there's hot sauce on the table. Teriyaki too, but it kind of tastes like plastic. At the end there ice cream, which is a nice touch. read more

I give this place 4 stars. The place is not much to look at but the value is there for the food. I usually only do two rounds and I have to push myself to do the second round of food. Today when I came here I got a pretty dirty spoon for my soup. I'm not that picky and if it looks like a smudge ill just wipe it off. But it was definitely crusty. We called the waitress over for a new spoon and she gave us a new one with a smile. Didn't make it weird at all. Like sometimes they get all insulted like I've just called their children ugly or something. Like listen lady I know the spoon was probably at an awkward position when it went through the industrial dishwasher and your kids are beautiful so just give me a new spoon without getting your feelings hurt. Any way the lady was very nice about it and there was no awkwardness at all that was similar to my rant above. Also they give you ice cream at the end. What the what. The place is usually busy but every time it's inconsistent whether the food will be flavorful. I know we add our own sauces to be cooked but even when following the given list by the restaurant such as how to make it hot medium mild etc. we still seem to have some times bland and sometimes not. The other thing is every time there is several brown pieces in the veggies. And lastly, every time we have to go through several bowls at the beginning of the buffet because they are all dirty. There's tons of sauces you can choose from as well. They will also serve you rice, some wraps to put your food in, egg drop or sour soup, and ice cream. An adult I believe is $15.95. I heard if you go on your birthday it's free. I'm curious on the quality of the meat and seafood. Lucky I didn't get sick.
