We were so pleasantly surprised by Chang's! We got there at 4:40 not knowing the restaurant didn't open for dinner until 5:00. By the time it was 5, the line was around the restaurant! We got seated quickly and went right up to the buffet. I've been to other Mongolian bbq restaurants where the meat was not frozen and I was so grossed out. This meat was frozen and all of the veggies, etc. were fresh. I was very pleased with my food and the price, and loved the ice cream at the end. We'll be back!

A variety of stir fry options available to be chosen and mixed yourself and given to to the cook to be cooked on flat round stone in front of you. Good variety of ingredients to choose from here. Relaxed atmosphere.

I have been coming here for about 15 years! It's the same thing on the menu, but it never gets old! :) I especially love the rice wraps and plum sauce combo. My son was introduced to Chang's today and he devoured his plate!

Thank you to all of you at Chang's for ALWAYS making it such a great experience. This is my daughter's favorite restaurant. Not only do we go frequently, we go every year on her Birthday. We missed going last year due to Covid and we're so happy to resume our tradition again this year. You all always make it the best experience and it is so nice going into a restaurant where the atmosphere is so pleasant. Thank you for always being our go-to place.

Protein load, great place to go to after a big workout. Just skip the carbs and load up on nice clean protein and some sauces!

Like to eat here but for some reason, I couldn't have fried rice because it's a safety issue when it comes to cooking it...like what?

Great service from the staff and cooks. Plenty of food selections for the bowls. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

Not as much variety of veggies and I think it's just plain dumb to have items on both sides that aren't the same. It's only after when you see your friend with something that you realize it was on the other side of the station and you missed it. Cooking seems more careless than it used to be and people there just kind of get in the way. No spatial awareness and yes, please move to the front when you're the next in line. Don't stand next to the station when people are trying to get to the grill. Didn't come back to check on drinks but at least someone did pick up the plates. It's what you make of it so that's kind of on you. They still give you a little ice cream style dessert at the end. Now that I've gone I think I'm probably good for the rest of my life because there just wasn't anything special. If it's just the basic stuff you get with any noodle dish I don't see the point.

There are booths where you order food to come cooked, and then the hot pot tables where you order the ingredients and cook them yourself. It's very interactive, and they have plenty of meats, vegetables, tofu, dumplings and noodles. You can choose the broth you want at the beginning and they'll bring out the pot. Each pot is split in 2, so you order one regular broth and then a spicy broth. They also have a veggie broth, which I really enjoy. You can grab things from the salad bar, and they have different sauces/oils you can take and add to your soup. You're able to really customize the experience. It's a fun little experiment you get to do with your friends and family. The space itself is busy with customers walking around and staff brining drinks and food, but it's not crazy. We joke that the steam from the soup is a nice facial treatment. Lol. You can end the night with an ice cream cone and lollipop in the waiting room. I've been a few times, and I will say the first time is overwhelming with trying to figure out what to do, but after that you get more confident and interested in curating a soup that's to your taste.

Even though there were plenty of larger tables available, we were told we had to squeeze into a small dirty booth. The pink/red-haired male employee and the girl with glasses who seated us were rude as hell and acted like we were an inconvenience instead of paying customers. Their attitude alone made us decide to leave without ordering. We've enjoyed coming here for a long time, but this experience changed our minds. Management really needs to address the customer service from those two employees before more loyal customers walk out like we did.

I am, as I've said many many times, a huge fan of Chinese food. And to see the coverage of this tiny little restaurant with the hand pulled noodles, my head exploded. I knew that if I ever got to Portland and had some time, I would find my way here. This was that weekend. I walked in and it was just before the lunch rush, so the restaurant was empty. I asked for, and was granted, the opportunity to stand in the doorway of the kitchen and watch them pull noodles. It was really cool to see. My friend and I were seated and it was minutes before we got fed. He wasn't feeling very well so he just shared some of my soup, but I dug in and tried to cover the entire menu as well as I could. I ordered the steamed dumplings with pork and scallion, the wonton soup and the pork and black bean hand pulled noodles. Everything was amazing. The texture of the dumplings... The rapper... Was just amazing. Tender but chewy and thick enough to give you just the right consistency that you want from a dumpling. Conversely, the wontons from the soup were perfect for what they needed to be. Thin and delicate, with a perfect amount of filling. And the broth was so tasty. Of course, the star of the show was the noodle dish. Chewy and delicate, with enough texture to hold the sauce. And the black bean sauce was pungent and sweet, with just enough spice and flavor to make you enjoy every bite. It was really a perfect meal. And I hope to get the opportunity to go back again someday. There were so many things on that menu that I wanted to try.
