Usually when a small eatery has a menu that covers several styles and cuisines, it's hit or miss whether the dishes can be done well. At Sakura Noodle, they've aced the ramen. Good noodle, flavorful broth, and the best cha shu we've ever had. The 4 slices of pork were thick-cut and nicely seared, plus you get a whole soft-cooked egg. I wish the portion were just a tad larger cuz it was so tasty. This food cart was in the Happy Valley station cart pod, a well-run albeit busy pod on Sunnyside in Happy Valley. If you want asian noodle but others in your group want something else, this IS the place to go.

Beef Bulgogi is awesome! Always fresh and consistent. Can order it not spicy as well. Has nice outdoor/indoor seating. Staff isn't always friendly and fast.

Sakura has a fitting spot at Happy Valley Station right between two of my other favorites, Montage and Fuego All Day, and it is the row of KINGS!!!!! After reading many reviews and ogling over pictures I opted for the Hell Ramen, spicy level 5 out of 10. Take a seat and get ready for heaven in a bowl of hell! Flavor upon flavor in the broth and each of the meats were melt in your mouth tender yet packed with flavor. Noodles were fresh and the egg was made perfectly. Sakura is making it even harder to decide where to go on that row and that says a lot.

Their chicken wings are the best. Buffalo is amazing, seasoning is a dry rub that's unique and delicious. Definitely trying more flavors soon.

I was honestly a little overwhelmed by the variety of choices available here at the Happy Valley Station, which my wife and I stumbled upon by accident. However, as soon as I saw the words "Spicy Beef Bulgogi" out of the corner of my eye, all doubt was cleared from my mind. This was it. This was what I wanted. I sauntered up to the window and placed my order, informing the owner to make it as spicy as possible. He chuckled, and after my order was handed to me, humbly requested I return to let him know what I thought of it, and "how it went". It went so, so very well! My order came to me in about 5 minutes, positively loaded with chili peppers and spicy goodness, a thick savory sauce, plenty of onions (I *love* green onions) and just the right amount of beef, I was in absolute heaven! It seemed a bit sacrilegious to order Korean from a Japanese(-named) food cart, even more so when ordering rice instead of noodles from a "noodle house" but whatever the ethnicity or choice of carb, these guys know what they're doing! A return to the Happy Valley Station food carts is a foregone conclusion, but to be honest, I may be spoilt for other choices. I'm pretty adventurous and enjoy quite a bit of variety in my dining options, but Sakura Noodle House might as well take over the entire food cart pod, because I'll be blind to everything else, like a frenzied bull charging a matador, I'll be seeing red (chili peppers) and won't stop for anything else!

Currently in town on a work trip and my boss decided to treat my coworker and I to the Happy Valley Station Food Carts. I must say it was a bit overwhelming and difficult to make one decision with all the great smells floating around. However Sakura Noodles definitely stood out for us. I'm a sucker for some good ramen so of course I had to try theirs while my boss and coworker tried their noodle dish. I can honestly say none of us were disappointed with our choices and you get so much bang for your buck. Definitely could not finish it all in one sitting. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area.

One of the best ramen bowls I have eaten in Pacific NW! I didn't expect too much because it was from a food truck but boy I was wrong ! The broth was so tasty! Chashiu was soft cooked to perfection and was sheared so it added a great flavor! I love spicy food so the level of spiciness in this bowl of ramen was on point. I am looking forward to the next time I get to slurp down this amazing Hell Ramen again from Sakura Noodle House !

I have no idea if there is ramen in Hell, but I found Hell Ramen ... and I'd consider a deal with the devil for it. Of course, if foodie hell has 7 levels, Happy Valley is somewhere between Wilsonville and Gresham. So, I quickly went from "where in the hell" to "why the Hell Ramen, not?" with the first spicy slurp from the Sakura Noodle House food cart at Happy Valley Station. To be honest ... and why the hell wouldn't I be ... I didn't care for the other food I tried from Sakura Noodle House. They seemed like cheap knock-offs of their Asian cousins; however, I'll be back for the Japanese-inspired sinfully spicy af (max spice level) and hellishly deep red ramen. To summarize: Popcorn Chicken? Hell no! Fried Tofu? Hella nope! Spicy Ramen? Hell Ramen! The Sakura Noodle House food cart may not be worth going to Hell (Happy Valley) for, but if you are already in Happy Valley (Hell), well, then hell yeah. Hey, Siri, go to Hell Ramen!

I love their ramen! I've been all over the Portland area trying ramen and I have only found one other place that's comparable. I definitely recommend you try it.

Mirakutei is a beautiful restaurant and has a refined dining area. I wouldn't say it's the most kid-friendly place (not because of the service or anything, it's just more for adults to enjoy a night out), but kids do enjoy it. I find the food here to be of good quality. The skewers I had had a delicious savory flavor and the asparagus rolls were really great. In fact, I'd suggest the vegetarian rolls any day of the week. They are lighter on the palate and I think will surprise people with how good they are. One of the nicest things about Mirakutei is that they offer gluten free ramen noodles. My wife is gluten intolerant and having gluten free noodles is awesome. I gave them a try and I'd say they are 85% of the way to your standard glutinous ramen noodle - which is pretty good I'd say. I'm always impressed when they can get gluten free food close to the original. My kid goes crazy for the unagi here. The unagi is nice and meaty with a good sweet sauce on the top. It's what keeps him coming back for more. I will note that one this most recent visit during lunch he (of his own fault) fell out of the chair and broke the bowl. All the rice and unagi fell to the ground. The staff at Mirakutei were quick to sweep it all up and make him a new one (on them). We found that to be extremely classy and appreciated that greatly. We'll certainly be back here when we next visit the Portland area... my kid will make sure of it.

The tofu pockets had a light yet pleasant taste which did not overpower the taste and freshness of the fish. Right off I-205 and just a short cruise up into Happy Valley, this spot feels like the food cart scene finally put on a clean shirt and got its life together. It's modern, it's polished, and it sits in a neighborhood where you don't feel like you need to keep your head on a swivel. No chaos, no nonsense just good eats and a relaxed vibe. What makes this place stand out? Options. A ridiculous amount of them. This isn't a "hope everyone agrees on tacos" situation. This is a "you get what you want, I get what I want, and we all win" kind of place. I've officially made it my mission few days left to try as many carts as humanly possible. Call it a food tour, call it a personal challenge, call it reckless ambition... I'm doing it anyway. We kicked things off at K-Pop Korean Hawaiian BBQ-because when you roll with a buddy from Hawaii, that's basically law. And let me tell you, it delivers. Bold flavors, solid portions, and that perfect fusion vibe that just works. Honestly, it set the bar high and that's saying something, because every cart here seems to bring their A-game. The setup is dialed in too. Covered seating for those rainy Oregon days, indoor space when winter decides to show up with attitude, and open-air areas when you want to sip a little wine or knock back a cold brew like a civilized adult. Surrounded by trees and mountain views, it almost tricks you into thinking you planned something outdoorsy... when really, you just came to eat. And here's the kicker it's clean. Like, noticeably clean. The carts look new, the area is well kept, and the whole place feels intentional. Not slapped together. Not gritty. This is food carting with standards. If you're local, you already know. If you're passing through, put this at the top of your list. And if you're doing a full-on food truck tour? Start here. Set the tone right. Because trust me after this, when you head back downtown and start dodging zombies and chaos... you'll miss this place real quick.

We arrived on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and there were already some customers, but overall it was not busy. The staff greeted us right away and took us to our booth. The ladies were very accommodating with my friend's toddler by helping us get a child seat, a kid's drink, and a cute set of Peppa Pig training chopsticks. Needless to say, the kid loved it. One thing worth mentioning is their decoration. It's definitely meant to be maximally decorated with cuteness. On their feature wall, they had floor-to-ceiling shelves displaying Dragon Ball figurines. The rest of the restaurant was decorated with a lot of cute cat decorations. Also, there's no way you would miss the moving ramen advertising light box as it pulls the noodles up and down, grabbing your full attention. Seriously, I could stare at that machine for days. We ordered a black garlic ramen, miso ramen, and a chicken stir-fried noodle, and liked them all. The black garlic ramen has a layer of black garlic oil on top, making it look much darker and intimidating. To our surprise, the garlic flavor was subtle, so it was easy to eat. My miso ramen had a rich broth with two generous portions of chashu, with various toppings including corn, bamboo, wood ear mushrooms, and green onion. I had no problem finishing the entire bowl. We also got a bowl of stir-fried chicken noodles, and it was very generously portioned and tasted good. It was savory with a bit of sweetness.
