I moved to Coarsegold from the Bay Area and hadn't yet identified a new dentist. It started the night a veneer fell off, front and center of my smile, the night before flying out for an important event the next morning. Panicked, I reached out to Dr. Ohanesian and to my amazement, he texted me back (at 11PM!) and had me come in before normal working hours in order to squeeze me in. He completely saved the day! I just went back to take care of a couple of things and just can't say enough regarding how kind, patient, compassionate, funny, and what a great dentist he is. Making a living is of course important, but he is clearly not in it just for the money. This man clearly loves what he does. He has integrity. He encourages saving teeth when possible instead of more profitable alternatives, goes at your pace financially, and is super respectful --He goes above and beyond to best serve his patients, and every member of his staff is equally nice! I went to visit a dentist and it was only just to get deep cleaning and a cavity filled however I…read moream so traumatized from the dentist from back in the 70s, all that grinding and drilling bothers me so the dentist gave me anti-anxiety meds to take for my procedure. Well, those pills did not work so they decided to give me a shot of I don't know what to help calm me down. The shot did not work either, it actually gave me the worst anxiety that I ever had. I think I became belligerent to where they were going to call the paramedics to come take me to the hospital. The next day I called that dentist office and they told me that I need to go see a sedation dentist and I Could never come back to their office again. They referred me to Dr. Smith. when I got there I was still a little afraid but they were so kind and warm and welcoming so I decided to allow Dr. Smith and his staff to perform the deep cleaning, cavity fill, crown and put an implant post in at the same time under anesthesia. The experience was amazing! They did not make me feel like I was a big crybaby because I was, they treated me with respect and kindness. And at the age of 59 years, you would think that I would be able to handle simple procedures but can't. I do recommend Dr.Smith's office if you're afraid of going to the dentist. On my first visit they could not verify my insurance, so I was unable to get my teeth cleaned. I called my insurance and my insurance couldn't understand why the office was not able to verify it. All the information was listed on my insurance card that I handed them. Anyhow, it got straightened out. The staff is great! Martin is very professional and most importantly it was a nearly painless procedure. When he numbed me for my old crown removal, I barely felt the needle inserted. I get a lot of anxiety from the drill and will often suddenly feel like I can't swallow or choke, but my anxiety was definitely low with Dr. Nahigian. My crown is a front tooth and it's so beautiful and natural looking. It honestly looks like my own tooth! I am very pleased. I am glad to have found a new dentist office that I trust and with great results.

They took X-rays and did an exam, and got me set up with an endodontist for a root canal. One thing to note (important, but not necessarily negative): I have Delta Advantage dental coverage, and the office does not take payment directly from them (though, as a courtesy, they do submit the claim). You have to pay up front and get reimbursed. From my limited experience with their care and demeanor, it's worth it. Now that the emergency has passed, I've scheduled a routine checkup and intend on becoming a regular patient.

I had been fighting an issue with a toothache for 4 days which was causing me extreme headaches. My fear was that I was going to need to have that tooth pulled and they weren't going to be able to help me today. I was able to get in to see the dentist get an X-ray of problem tooth and have the tooth extracted. I was so relived that they were able to fit me in.
