    Big bowls for mukbanging, lol!!

This is a market inside the Chinatown shopping complex & is a Time Machine to the little stalls in Korea. The prepackaged Korean lunch and snacks reminds me of the food I would get easily any day of week in any alley in Seoul. Prices are beyond reasonable and I so wish I lived closer. Staff were super helpful and friendly. I wish I lived closer because it fills my heart and tummy very well.

-------January 6, 2024------1 star I am sad to say that the morning after I ate food from this restaurant, I suffered from food poisoning. I can't remember the last time I had food poisoning, but it was horrible. K-Recipe was the only food I ate on Jan. 5, so it is the only thing that could have given me food poisoning. Just be careful what you eat from here and be sure to cook the pre-cooked items thoroughly before eating them. -------January 5, 2024------- 5 stars I'm impressed with this place! It is like a bodega where you pop in to grab something and then go on your way. Some of the food needs to be warmed up, but it is absolutely delicious! The spicy Korean rice cakes are dished from a self-serve station. They have a wonderful flavor that has a decent kick of spice. There are no tiny sausages in it like other places I've tried, but that's not an issue for me. The pot stickers are also some of the best I've ever had! They are fried, so they're crispy on the outside and the sauce is delicious! The cucumbers are not too spicy, but they are refreshing. The bulgogi is also delicious. I'm blown away by the top-tier service! The owner took the bulgogi and put fresh rice in it for us! She was so sweet and kind when we checked out, and I will be back to get a whole container of their glass noodles. The ambiance is unique. It's super small, but there is a variety of food that you can grab, pay for, and be on your way! If you need a fast, delicious place to go for lunch or dinner, you will love this place!

K Recipe is newly opened, for about a year now. Located inside Chinatown Supermarket with plenty of parking. My husband and I were shopping at Chinatown Supermarket and decided to stop in to see if there were anything good to purchase since my husband was starting to get hungry. We came in on a Sunday afternoon around 2:45 pm. This place is small but there are several food offerings on the table that is wrapped or in a container. There are also food items in the fridge and you can also purchase tteok bokki (spicy rice cakes). We ended up buying: Bulgogi with rice, $8.99 prior to tax- Because my husband did not see this on the table, he just asked at the register if he could order one. The employee said he can and an employee behind in made one for him fresh. This entrée came with bulgogi beef, glass noodles and shredded carrots served over a bed of rice. The entrée itself is good to serve 2 people. Definitely loved the flavors of the meat and found the sauce to be perfect with the rice. Bulgogi gimbap, $5.99 prior to tax- I am such a fan of gimbap/ kimbap. This one has 12 cut pieces. A good portion for sharing and also quite filling. The roll was tightly rolled so it did not fall apart when I picked one up with my chopsticks. Tofu skin, $3.99 prior to tax- One of my favorite banchan at a Korean restaurant, I had to pick this up. Definitely a large portion for the amount. The tofu skins were perfectly cooked and had a nice chew. Loved the sauce that was used to season it. Perfect on its own or with rice. -------------------- (Total= $20.44 after tax) Service was quick and prices are very reasonable. We were in and out in about 10 minutes and back in the car. If I lived in this area, I would be a regular.

Fridge fully stocked with side dishes

I was really happy to see this place open. I love korean side dishes and would make them every now and then, but some of them is just too labor intensive for me. This place makes it so much easier to get the side dishes that I want. Now home made bibipbap, or kbbq would be way easier. They don't only sell side dishes, but they also sell korean starter dishes. The kimbap here is very good. All the other staters look very tempting, and maybe I will go try them one day. Honestly, the starters can also be a meal if you want something super quick that day. A lot of the things are freshly made there, so you know they aren't selling anything that's factory made. The sides I've gotten was very good. I love the kimchi, I don't think i would ever buy store kimchi anymore. Highly recommend this place if you wan to cook a korean meal, but don't want to put the hassle in making side dishes.

Awesome much needed place. They have free samples, and you can watch them make it fresh. Very clean and new right across from Chickqueen in the Chinatown supermarket.

Kimchi fried rice with egg. So good
    Lyoni P.

Yumm! They have an abundance from kimchi, other pickled veggies, gimbap, boiled whole squid, bento style entree's and kimchi fried rice bowl all ready to go. I grabbed the kimchi fried rice. So good! The rice made perfect the flavor is amazing! Give it a try! It will not disappoint. The service was fast and the people were super friendly. Ambiance is nice, clean and well organized. I will be frequenting whenever I'm in town. Worth the drive from Roy area.

    Squid, delicious dipping sauce

Impeccable service and cleanliness for a casual pickup location. If I lived in the area I'd go here regularly. The tteokbokki I served myself was much better than the one I get pre-packaged at H-Mart. The way they have it in stored, like at a buffet, keeps the texture soft and chewy. I only tried that as well as seasoned sesame leaves, and squid with hot pepper dipping sauce. The last item was one of the yummiest things I've eaten in a while because of the sauce. All very authentic preparation, presentation, and taste. I suppose it's also authentic that they bowed when serving my food, I hadn't experienced that in a while but it's appreciated.

    Gimbap roll- awesome!

Solid stop for a quick pickup of Kimbap. No seating so plan on just grabbing a few things, maybe while you're are at the Asian Market.

We dined in, and it was clean and had a good amount of seats to sit down and enjoy your food. Our food came out pretty fast and fresh, we did t have to wait long. We got the boneless large, the two flavors we picked were the honey garlic and sweet soy. The boneless wings were crispy and full of flavor, and portion size was more than enough! We split the chicken between me, my man, and my two little daughters and had leftovers to take home too. We also got the plain fries and mandoo for our kids and it came out hot. The mandoo came with 6 pieces, the fries were fried in like a tempura batter so not your average French fry. The fries were crispy and salted well! We left full and satisfied!

In this nonchalant location, there is a clean, delightfully decorated space with delicious food. Even at 7 o'clock on a Memorial Day Monday evening, there were more people inside than the cars of the parking lot would have you think, and more people strolled in after me. Service was attentive and prompt. Menus, napkins, and chopsticks were already on the table. Water quickly followed. The food was out so fast. So good. The side dishes were colorful and tasty.
