Came here last month and had a good time! Parking: Plenty available! Experience: Easy to navigate through console and find songs (English, Chinese, Japanese, etc. available), room lighting was appropriately lit with neon lights to set the atmosphere, hand sanitizer and mic covers provided. Unfortunately, 1 of our 2 mics didn't quite work as well as the other so that was a bit frustrating but overall still had fun! Can't comment on price (friend treated us) or food / drinks, but solid spot for karaoke!

Having fun in Happy Hour $25-$40 per person. They have a lot of popular songs on their up-to-date song list.

The reason for my rating is that, I really don't think it is worth the rate that they charge, especially with the lack of accommodations. I'm not asking for freebies or snacks even, but at least give us water??? Food - #/5 - N/A we did not order any food or drinks from the establishment so I will not comment on the quality. I will be able to say that they do provide these things but it is at a bit of a marked up price for what it is. ($4 for a bottle of water??) They didn't even provide us with water for the room. They have a No Outside Food or Beverage policy which is completely understandable. But not even providing water for your parties? Price - $$$- This place goes at an hourly rate and it depends on the number of people in your party that they place you in a small, medium or large room. Each room size has its own rate. Please call ahead to ensure you know what you know the pricing. I do think that it is on the more expensive side for Karaoke, especially when there were no accommodations. We booked a reservation for 8:30pm and we had to time ourselves. Honestly for these rates... you can get better rooms, accommodations and service in Koreatown for the same thing. We had a large room (9-11 people) for our party of 9 and it was roughly $78/hr. They calculate it down to the minute. Seeing as there wasn't another reservation after us that needed this room, they would have let us just keep going until we left and charged us however long we stayed. We paid after we left instead of prepay. Good thing we paced ourselves because that would have been really expensive. Service - 1/5 - There is a 18% service fee that is already included in our check when they don't do anything for us. Like I said, not even water was provided for our party of 9 people. They are pretty strict with their policy of no outside drink and food but they will hold your food for you at the front desk if you were coming from another restaurant with leftovers. I understand including gratitude because we are a larger party but it's actually just a mandatory 18% regardless of party size. Ambiance - 3/5 - The atmosphere is pretty typical and average of a Karaoke place. It was pretty clean and decent amount of space. Location - 2.5/5 - The plaza it is located in is a bit of a maze so it may be confusing but there is a good amount of parking at least? There's also tasty restaurants and boba shops nearby so you can get your fix of food and such close by. ____________________ **Note: Location rating does not affect yelp review, this is just for informative purposes of other patrons only.

I loved the karaoke room here! Ours had one of those vintage microphone stands and it definitely was a great addition when we got a few drinks in. The system was a little difficult to use compared to other places, but it did have most of the songs we were looking for. The service is friendly but the snack was total trash. The calamari, fries, and dumplings weren't good at all, but the purpose is karaoke. There are cameras inside the room which I get, but is a little discomforting. I would come back here though!

Wide sofa with remanences of our snacks! (Large room with mic stand).

YES! You can sing your heart out and not have to worry about your neighbors calling the cops on you for sounding like a torture room! This place definitely felt like a hidden gem to hang out with your friends. It's on the bottom floor of an otherwise unassuming plaza. (Not ground level). We reserved the large room that has a little stage to fulfill your pop star dreams! The room says 10, but we were a party of 6 and felt like it was the PERFECT size. We arrived and set up some decorations for our friend's birthday! They let us put decorations on the door to add a more "exclusive" feel which made our birthday girl feel special. And balloons. We had balloons everywhere! I see some people mention waiting a long time for food, but forget that when they go to restaurants there's also a wait time. It's okay, it's normal, and the workers there were really approachable if you needed anything else. Photo menu's on Yelp are DEFINITELY outdated. So scan the QR code on the table to see their updated menu! We ordered fries, popcorn chicken(my fav), fried fish tofu, fried shrimp, calamari, takoyaki, fruit plate, and pork leak dumplings! Most are fried food but it's soooo gooood to be bad sometimes haha. Karaoke here was so fun, the time passed by so quickly. The room was updated with two screens on opposite sides and a touch screen to find songs. No more of those giant books that everyone's touched and been all up on it. Overall, this was a really great visit. This was on a Friday night, we arrived at 6 and it seemed not too busy. It seems people like to just show up because as we were leaving a party of 2 was trying to get a room. Late nights are definitely a hit. 08/19/2022 Friday 6-9pm

This spot opened about a year ago, and has a cool speakeasy style entrance at the Highland Park Bowl bowling alley. It is a small space, and I would highly recommend making a reservation on Resy. You have 90 minutes to drink and dine. I parked behind the bowling alley where there is a medium sized pay parking lot. Park in a space, remember your space number painted on the ground, and go to the pay station at the end of the lot. I found the parking machine to be extremely finicky as did other people. After ten minutes of failure, I ended up moving my car to another space, and then it worked. This has nothing to do with the Lucky Tiki, but FYI if you park there. We walked around to the front of the bowling alley, and checked in. Seating options include at the bar, tiki hut booths, and high top tables. The décor inside is a tiki lovers paradise. The room has a high ceiling with many tiki lamps, floats, puffer fish, tiki huts, thatch, ropes, barrels, netting, carvings, a hanging canoe, and a large tiki right in the middle of the space. In addition to the great décor, when you order certain drinks, special effects are triggered. There was also great tiki music playing all evening. We sat at the bar since we always enjoy talking to the bartenders. We actually ran into Skipper Christian in the parking lot on the way in, and he ended up being our main bartender, with Nick and Jo also working behind the bar. We put in a food order right away. The chicken potstickers ($12) came with five tasty bites, and the garlic teriyaki dipping sauce was good. We also had the giant pretzel ($16) which comes with mustard, beer cheese, and ranch sauces. This was excellent, and the perfect filling snack before a bunch of drinks. My first drink was the Siren's Song (Flor de Cana Eco rum, lemon juice, cassis, Oloroso sherry, apricot foam topper, $19). This drink is served in a great mermaid with skull mug and triggers special sound effects and bubbles fill the air. Those bubbles on top of the drink had a great light citrusy apricot flavor, probably the best flavored bubbles I've ever had. The drink itself was very good and balanced with some complexity. She wasn't sure what to order at first, and Christian asked her what flavors she liked. He ended up making a spin on a Tradewinds with some mango and pineapple to go along with the apricot and coconut. It was nicely balanced and not too sweet, even with all that fruit in there. My second drink was the Sun of Suns (Tierra de Acre mezcal, coconut cream, Giffard mango liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice, $17). This was coconut and pineapple forward with some good smokiness in the background. Her second drink was the Whatever Floats Your Boat (Ford's gin, lemon juice, velvet falernum, orgeat, passion fruit syrup, guava soda, topped with hazelnut passion fruit foam, $19). It is served in a cool boat mug, and triggers thunder sound effects and lighted mechanical Polynesian tiki characters paddling a canoe over the bar. This was another good balanced drink. It was a little gin forward and the passion fruit popped out, maybe from being both in the drink and the foam top. That creamy hazelnut passion fruit form on top is delicious. I'd happily have a glass of that on its own. We were still a little hungry so we ordered the Hawaiian pizza (marinara, diced pepperoni, red onion, pineapple chunks, hot capicola ham, $16). It was another good tasting, perfectly sized snack, and the crust was light and airy. We were already fifteen minutes over our time limit, but we got the green light to stay longer to order a third drink to share. We ordered the Tiki Diablo (Flor de Cana Eco rum, Worthy Park 109 rum, Alma Tepecha chile liqueur, orange juice, lime juice, mango syrup, guava soda, $24). This drink serves two people, is served in a cool volcano bowl with glowing red lava around it, and comes with a fire show. Unfortunately, right after it was served, the host came over and said we were over our time and had to leave shortly. Christian made up for it by giving us two tall pours to go enjoy in the bowling alley bar area which was fine. We were happy we got some extra time inside. The drink was also very good, balanced with a little complexity. We had a great time. There is so much great décor to look at. The drinks and food were very good, and some of the the drink presentations and special effects were the icing on the cake. All of the bartenders were very friendly and a lot of fun. We purchased up a few zombie glasses to take home as a souvenir. I'd definitely recommend visiting the Lucky Tiki in Highland Park!
