First time here at Luxy for a friend's birthday. They wanted to do karaoke; something fun for everyone whether you can sing or not. They have pretty nice rooms with RGB lights which makes the ambiance very inviting. Limited drink options, but decent if you want beer or soju. Liquid courage! They also have a bar outside of the rooms. They also have food so you can sing, eat and drink. The staff there bring you the food/drinks so there's no need to pause. Plenty of songs to sing because they have prepared songs and the magic of YouTube. You can literally sing anything. They are pretty strict on time so watch what you time you need to be out. In terms of prices it's more expo than round1, but it's a dedicated karaoke spot, so you get what you pay for. P.S. bottled water is a ripoff so go outside to the bar area for it. Go to moxie instead - or literally anywhere else. Really wanted to give this place a try but unfortunately they gave our room away to another party even though we booked weeks in advance and arrived early - horrible experience!!!! I hate that they ruined our birthday celebration for us!!! Their main karaoke system is all in Chinese so they attach a tablet to the top of it to use YouTube to play songs (why are we paying 1K for this?!). Please do not come here - you will get ripped off in one way or another. They didn't tell us that they downgraded the room and gave away our original room when we checked in. We only found out because we went out to ask because the space was so so cramped we couldn't even walk around. They charged us for the VIP room even though they crammed us into a smaller room (major fire hazard). By then, Moxie was fully booked and the session had already started so we weren't able to cancel. Very shady actions happening here - when we told them we were going to leave a negative review, the security guard came and kicked us out and said we were threatening them. If you do happen to learn the hard way and end up getting scammed like us, please report them to the BBB. I hope they don't continue getting away with ripping people off like this. read more

July 2025 - 6 people on a Friday. I was excited to try this place but won't be back. Went for happy hour. Says noon to 4pm but they actually open at 1pm. $35 per hour with a room service fee. They never came to check on us once and the workers were on their phone and not friendly when we walked in. You go to the bar and order food or drinks. FYI there is a SERVICE FEE each time you order those too. What a joke. I wouldn't call this the karaoke place. It's a glitchy tablet with speakers and a mic connected to YouTube. I went to Luxy for the first time for my friend's birthday last month, and this was the worst KTV I have been. The decor and ambiance looked nice, but they have a no water policy and they did not even provide any free water. Yes, they even hired securities to check our bags for drinking water. Wow.... The KTV room was also not sound proof. I could hear other singing/noises from the other rooms even if our KTV room door was closed. The food and drink were overpriced, too. The two stars are because we still had fun and one of the staff offered us to put our bottled water in their fridge, where we could retrieve after we were done with our karaoke session. I won't be back to this KTV when there are many other KTVs that are better and allow people to bring water or provide free water (non bottled water). read more

Been coordinating our holiday get together with friends at Luxy for the past two years. It's located in the Santa Anita mall, which is convenient because there is ample parking and places to go grab dinner or do some shopping beforehand. I usually make reservations over the phone, and the staff are super friendly and helpful when you have questions about what is included in their various room packages. As we had eight people in our party, I reserved a medium room, which automatically is paired with their medium room package. It includes hot appetizers, an abundant fruit plate, and alcohol of your choice from a prepared list (we went with soju). The spot itself is super clean and well lit, even with the dark interior. The rooms are super clean as well, and all the mics are prepped with sanitary covers. They do have a pretty extensive food menu, but we opt for the appetizers like calamari and chicken wings, which are delicious and come out hot and fresh. The servers are really nice and are really helpful! There are really only two downsides for me with Luxy. One is that the only option for English speakers to sing karaoke is to look up karaoke videos on YouTube on a tablet hooked up in the rooms. It's not very convenient and it slows the momentum and vibe of the karaoke room (of course just my opinion). Second, that they only provide water bottles and charge for those. I have asked if they can bring pitchers of water and was told they didn't do that. Other than those two details, I think Luxy is a great spot for friends to let loose together! My group came in two cars and I arrived first to ask for a room. The staff tells me they don't have any rooms unless a reservation doesn't make it or else I'd have to wait 40 ish minutes. I mentioned that my friend called earlier and she tells me that she never got a call, but asks for my friend's number. We tell her my friend's number and she says she still never got a call. After questioning a bit, she said she did get a call but she never mentioned that they had rooms. We ended up waiting around 40 minutes for a room and stayed for 1hr and 15mins. Great ambience! The staff was very polite and professional, they were super chill and we all got along with them. They treated us very well and made us feel welcomed. I think we were the only ones there using the rooms. It was a Tuesday night, so it wasn't busy, which was perfect for us. Well, for me. It was just how I like it. We were all able to let loose and be ourselves and have fun! I wish we had more content, but we were too busy having fun! The food was actually a lot better than I expected! Especially the chicken and I'm not a fan of chicken. I really enjoyed everything they had to offer, though, I did not get to try their Calamari, I didn't get a chance to see it, it was eaten up so quickly! My only complaint would be the technology...the iPad wasn't working very well, the mics wouldn't work too well, the projection or maybe that was an iPad issue, too... But you couldn't see the full screen. There were songs that didn't have lyrics to them. I'd also get a landline phone as a backup because the wireless phones have too many issues when I call. One of the few private karaoke room services that provides hard liquor and a full craft cocktail bar on top of your beer/soju combos you usually see at other businesses. Karaoke machines are straightforward to use - it does take some brainpower because the user interface is in Chinese (cannot be switched to English for some reason). There's a service bell in your room you can press to call a server over for karaoke assistance and taking food/drink orders. Their weekend nights are usually fully packed so it's best to reserve a room in advance. I definitely advise you keep track of how long you're staying in the rooms - they will not keep track of time for you. They typically charge their rooms by the hour unless you purchase a combo package. However you have two options to select songs either YouTube through a pad but with commercials or the system they have but it was in another character and not English. So it was hard to select songs and when you do finally find an artist the songs selection were limited. But nonetheless had a total of 15 shots between 2-3 of us and we still had fun. Though I thought it was strange we got room service fee when in actuality I had to keep going outside to ask to order more drinks. So not sure if that's just a standard fee. read more

Alcohol bottles can be purchased with a combo deal and the bartender makes the best cocktail. I was informed that their Cash Cash is a popular specialty drink. Last Tuesday, November 28, my good Friend invited my Mother and I for a little karaoke... being the vibrant untalented singer that I am, I immediately agreed We got there about noon, I believe they just opened. Very nice inside. My friend checked in with the Bartender, however, there seemed to be some confusion about reservations but we did get our room. The room was really nice. Turned out, there would be a total of 5 of us, no problem, we all fit lol The equipment had me sounding better than Mariah Carey! I Loved it! My friend was in charge of the music and having a difficult time finding songs I think, then I saw what the issue was... nothing was in English. We kept asking the lady who was the bartender and probably the owner, to help us, she would accommodate us as best she could I guess but she also kept pushing for us to get the YouTube room which was $10 more per hour because it had English songs and Artists. I just felt it was unfair that we could not enjoy ourselves to the fullest because this place is really not for us. Why should we have to pay more? We just wanted to say I have a good time. It was frustrating to say the least. We ordered a few cocktails, which everyone truly enjoyed but the finger foods , chicken wings, fried rice and edamame were all basic, served in little paper containers. For all the glitz and glam, that seemed so cheap to me. It was my first time going to a place specifically for karaoke. I wouldn't come back here though, too frustrating. Came here with a group of friends at the end of November. The interior is really pretty, it has those cyberpunk neon light colors and tons of rooms! Really clean! When we first arrived it was really warm in the room, so I had to ask an attendant to crank up the a/c! Room contains: - a booth for seating - different modes for party lighting - 2 wireless mics - a low table - loud surround system - a large flatscreen tv - air conditioning Everything in the karaoke list is in a different language and rarely anything translated to English so it was a little difficult for us at first to fully navigate through the karaoke machine. Despite that, it was manageable and we sang a lot of songs. We planned to stay for just an hour but stayed even longer. From singing through the 90's, resurfacing memories because of "Clarity" by Zedd, becoming a teen again and singing "leavin" by Jesse McCartney, making Linkin park songs into a screamo, and enjoying the top current hits. There's an assortment of songs to go through. They also sell alcoholic drinks. We opted for the sangria served in flutes. I got so excited that I clumsily tipped over the empty pitcher (and thankfully it didn't break anything). They charge for anything that is damaged so keep that in mind! You sign something in the beginning and they note all of the "fines" for any damages. read more

What's convenient is that it is located in the Westfield Santa Ana, so there is plenty of parking and options for food/beverages pre and post karaoke session. We ordered soju afterward, and then realized we should have just gone with soju from the start because we ended up needing to wander around the mall and eating pretzels to sober up. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't find some of our favorite karaoke jams. There wasn't as wide of a selection of Boyz II Men or Olivia Rodrigo songs as we would have liked. They rent karaoke rooms by the hour where you can sing your heart out and nit wait through a 20-person rotation. My adult son and I went for my birthday, and they even brought me a yummy $22 birthday fruit platter for free. Who knew watermelon could help you sing? Overall, although $49 an hour sounds expensive, it ended up being about the same price as buying drinks and waiting in a bar, but you get a lit more sing tine. By the end of our vidit I was ready to go on my world tour...but when I woke up the best morning I realized I was a teacher, not a diva. We will return again soon. read more

Well love been wanting to expand my karaoke haunts and we tried this place on a Friday afternoon. The inside is similar to other karaoke places and is bling bling. A small room is $25 for happy hour. We were asked which language karaoke do we want - Chinese or English. English karaoke song selection can be a hit or miss at Asian karaoke places so we wanted to check the English one out - which then we were informed it would be $35 instead of $25. Um, no thanks. We opted for the Chinese selection, which still have some English songs, but they are hardly searchable and you will need to just browse and look through the artist catalog. There is also a faint lingering smell of smoke in the air, which your throat will begin to burn and scratch 30 minutes into your time there. Service is fine. Be sure to check your Bill !!! We came here on a SAT NIGHT after dinner to celebrate a friend's Birthday. We called in to make sure there will be available room for us at 10:30. The lady answered the phone told us, we have to be there before 11:00 which we said that's fine. We got there at 10:55, and found out they double -booked. we have to wait 30 mins for the room. The rest of the night was fine until we checked the bill. A male server came in with a credit machine and asked us to pay, which is totally fine, it was almost the closing time anyway. BUT HE DID NOT COME WITH A BILL SHOWING ALL THE DETAIL CHARGE. At that moment, we weren't thinking much, so we pull out a credit card and put it in. and he handed over the screen and told us to put tips. The option were 15%, 18%, or 20%. We chose 20%, not because of the service was good, only because we have a great time hanging out with friends. After we put in the tips, the server finally offered us a receipt which later we found out 15% service fee were already included in the total price. We don't mind giving better tips but not like this. Feel like we got scam after we checked the bill the next morning! Who doesn't love karaoke? Ambience - 4/5 - The vibe when you walk in is like a night club. There's lots of lights and space to sit. There is a full bar so you can order drinks! The karaoke rooms have different sizes to accommodate your different party sizes. (Note: The machines are all in Chinese and but they teach you how to use it and there are songs in English!) The machines are also not the most user friendly, but it does work. They have a QR code in the rooms so you can order snacks. Service - 4/5 - The servers are pretty attentive and quick. They primarily leave you alone in the Karaoke rooms unless the service button is rung. Price - $$$ - To be completely honest, this is on the pricier side of Karaoke rooms. The rates vary depending on the time of day, day of the week and the party size. I would definitely call and ask beforehand to make sure that it is within you budget. It's not terribly expensive but it is not the most affordable either. In terms of snacks and drinks, it is definitely overpriced in my opinion. Location - 3/5 - It is located in a large mall so parking will either be the best or a nightmare.
