We've been here about 5 times. A couple times with just 2 racers and once with a large group. Everyone always has a blast! Facility is clean, staff is friendly and it's great entertainment. PLEASE READ IF THIS IS YOUR 1ST TIME GOING TO K1 SPEED: I decided to take my nephew and niece to K1 and checked prices online before I left. We decided to do 2 races per person so I was prepared to pay around $120. When we arrived, I was asked if it was our 1st time to K1. Since it was, I was informed they charge each person a $7 membership fee on top of the race fee which tacked on an extra $21. Pretty outrageous in my opinion. I told him I didn't want to pay a membership fee and he proceeded to tell me it was mandatory. A few days later, I called to speak to the manager and she confirmed that if it's your 1st time, you will get charged a membership fee per person. As far as the track and cars go, I felt it was safe and a very controlled environment. We had a couple spin outs during our race and our cars were slowed down for everyone's safety. All in all, we had a good time, but felt the need to warn future K1 goers of the sneaky membership fee. read more

Very disappointed with K1 today! We live over an hour away so we called beforehand to see if we could make a reservation. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to make a reservation because we only had 4 people and they require a minimum of 8. But they said to "come on by, it's pretty empty in here" so we loaded up and headed there. Upon arrival the worker told us there would be a minimum of an hour and a half wait (the place closed in two hours) due to a big event they were having. Obviously we were confused because we were told on the phone there was no wait, and upon arrival there was a big bachelor party going on...overall poor communication and a wasted drive. Wished they would have checked the schedule and told us a big party was about to happen. read more

The best part of the experience was how Tori was. The worst part was racing with Bill Bailey. Please be careful and don't race with bill. He will short change you like 6 laps out of what you pay, he's so damn fast. I didn't know he was racing and he short changed our group 4 laps and 2 of mine. Damn you bill!!!! Lol. Tori and the rest of the staff were amazing though. I'd recommend it but it can get pricey. Avoid bill and any other pros! They will mess your times and laps up! read more

Awesome date night when you get the deal on groupon! (normal prices are STEEP) We had a blassst on our date night last weekend here. The inside is insanely quiet for the number of go karts going around, and the AC was awesome! Not having to fight the crazy texas heat and bugs on ourdoor karts was AWESOME! Definitely recommend the groupon deal though, because otherwise the prices seem too high to be worth it. Very clean location, and visibly nicer than any outdoor go kart track I have ever visited. They take active measures for safety and the people at the front desk were very friendly. Those running the tracks and supervising seemed a little less than enthusiastic. I found a Groupon and got a steep discount to try it out. Enjoyed myself, but would never pay full price for the races. It's really expensive per race and it would be very pricey if you took a family without a discount. They have a snack bar (didn't check the prices since I ate beforehand) and a few arcade games as well. The karts have some serious kick and were a thrill to drive. read more

Karts here are quick if you can post a lap time that qualifies you to get access to full speed (it's not terribly difficult to do that). Prices are a bit steep and I had some inconsistencies between karts with regard to handling and braking but overall, they are faster than other indoor go karts. Staff is active about flagging drivers which helps with passing. Worthy of a solid 4 star rating. read more

I've been to several K1's and went for the first time this weekend. I would've left 5 stars cause I love this business but the GoKart I hopped in had NO BRAKES. They were completely shot. Totally unsafe, and if it would've been my first time at a K1, I don't think I would've come back. I let 3 team members know about the brakes and none of them seemed too terribly worried- I was a little surprised by that. My second race the Kart I was in had full on brakes so it was much better. However, the track there has too many turns and not enough straights. Most of the other K1's I've been don't take as much a toll on your body like this track. Hopefully they'll update the track later on, with more awareness from management, I think this K1 will be another hit. read more

My Family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids visiting from California came in yesterday because my youngest loves these race car tracks and we go to them all the time. My youngest is exactly at the 48" mark for the minimum height to drive. Instead of letting him ride we go to the pit where the cars are and she asks another teenager if he can ride. The kid running the pit puts him in the car and asks him to push the pedals (which he does just fine) then he asks him to turn the wheel while its stationary which would be difficult for my 9 year old. The young girl comes back and says that he can't ride because he is too short and his legs are fully extended and if he gets in a wreck he will break his legs. Hmmm, if 48" is the minimum height then you would know his legs are going to be fully extended. If having legs fully extended is a risk of "breaking your legs" then maybe you should raise the minimum height. Needless to say we didn't stay. Management might want to review their policies with their young staff. A very empty racetrack that 5 riders would have loved to patronize, Instead $300 walked out the door with the little guy in tears. read more

This was not my first time at K1 Speed and I know that the carts are way faster than they were tonight. One person was ruining the race for everyone. I understand it is a safety policy to slow all the carts down but this was too far. Our carts were up to speed for maybe 1 whole lap. A 30 second average is not normal. My family and I visited K1 for the first time Saturday March 24, 2018. The was nice but the service was awful. We ordered popcorn and nachos. The popcorn was old and the cheese on the nachos was cold. It was a total of 7 in our party. Three of us paid for 2 races and the other 4 paid for one. When it was time to race, one of people from my group car was turn down so low she could not pass anyone. My daughter go anxiety from everyone going so fast passing her that she did not want to ride anymore. When it was time for the second race, one of our friends quit in the middle of the race because they had her car so low that everyone was passing her and she could not pass anyone. When we talked to the manager she was no help. She offered to give my daughter her money back because she did not do the second race but not the friend who quit, even after explaining the issue. When it came time to giving my daughter a refund, she explained that since she paid for 4 races on her card that she could not take off one race that she had to ring 3 more races on her card and then cancel the others. In other words you will be charged for a total of 7 races, over 100 plus dollars on your card until your bank refunds one of the races. REALLY. We told her we did not want to charge our card again and never heard of sure a thing. This is the manager (African american young lady). Leaving upset, to add insults to injuries, the manager is going to say,"have a nice day". Once again, REALLY. I will never go again. read more

Terrible place to go kart. One of the front ladies misinformed our whole party about how many of us could race at once. We signed up via the EXTREMELY LONG registration process and were ready and excited to race. Next thing we know the lady becomes frustrated with us saying we cant take our whole party racing at once. This was extremely disappointing. While there we also noticed a few negatives besides the AWFUL staff. 1. The track seemed very average and a little boring compared to most tracks we had raced on. 2. The price was extremely high and there are much better places to go for that kind of money. 3. They slow the all the racers down if one racer is going too fast. LAME! Wouldn't recommend this spot! Do some research and find a more professional place. read more

Myself and a group of 6 (adult) friends went during the day on a Friday afternoon. When we got there, the place was virtually empty. We paid our fee for 2 rides and sat back to watch and wait. About 45 minutes went by and we still hadn't been called to ride...they had originally told us it would be 20 minutes when we got there. Long story short, after asking them several times about our turn and getting no-sense excuses, we asked for a refund. The manager came out, offered no good explanation, no apology, no compensation, no nothing. I just think it's poor business to operate like this. Instead of trying to make the situation right with the customer, they'd rather give back, what amounted to almost $400...just doesn't make sense to me. Bottom line is, it looks fun, and I would have liked to try it, but when they can't keep things like this straight, I'm discouraged to go waste another hour of my time and get nothing!! read more
