Literally the WORST salon I've Been to for my nails. I recently went back to them after a year, desperate to get my nails done and had made an appointment and needed up having to wait and additional 20 mins after when I made the appt. First off, I got some lady who had no idea how to do any of the designs or colors I had shown her in the picture. (Didn't know how to do a nail with just glitter powder.) She was very lost and confused. It took almost / hours to complete a very simple set, which turned out like shit. I will post pics. I went back in the next day and called saying I would be there at 3:30 which I was, waited another 15-20 min for someone to fix some gems and re do the lifted nails. I was not surprised they came out the way they did. It's not the same it used to be 2 years ago. Super rushed now and careless. Also jacked the prices way up. I told the lady my budget was no more than 50$ and I barley got anything done lol. Turned out I paid 70$ for shit. I was very disappointed and not satisfied at all. read more

I have given this place a few chances and each time I've regretted my decision. They have a great polish selection aside from that I can't think of anything else good to say. Anytime I've gotten a pedicure I've had to ask them to re-file my nails evenly, re-touch the paint, then finally just to go home and clean off all the excess paint around my nails. With that said, I don't plan on coming back. read more

I've been trying to find a really great nail salon for awhile now since I moved back from New York City, and of course you got a bunch of nail salons here in the Bay Area. I've recently been following K3 nails IG for quite some time now and I finally had a chance to try them out back in April this year. I arrived a few minutes early before they opened at 9:30am, and luckily I was able to get sat down and get my nails started by my own official nail tech, Van. She was able to get me my nails the way I want it the first time just by showing pictures and telling her how I want it. She'll recommend what personally looks good on you which I love also, I'll go with what she suggests since I'll leave it to her. I most definitely recommend her. She also does 3D nails which is really cute! On to my 3rd visit with Van, she doesn't disappoint every single time she does my nails! She's super amazing, I'm able to text her personally just to make an appointment. I'm thankful to have her as my nail tech, thanks Van for making my nails beautiful each time, I always get good compliments but it's only because you did an amazing job! :) read more

I would if you want a place where it's loud and dirty and the nail girls tell you what to get it's the place to go! They don't listen, you go back every week to get a nail fixed, they don't set appointments in a book, they talk there language with in themselves which is extremely disrespectful they cuss like crazy they use the same tools and it's so dirty in there. They have no consideration for anyone but themselves and it's not a peaceful to go and relaxing trust me! read more

4 stars because of the wait, they tended to a customer who came in after me first, and an employee, but other than that this place is great! I was waiting for quite a while which isn't a big deal because with the outcome of my nails, they spend a lot of time on their work! I got a man (idk his name) and he did a fantastic job on my coffin acrylics, the only down side was him when I paid for the nails. He watched over me when I was going to type the tip in and when I was finished, he stared at the receipt for 30 seconds and had a very displeased look on his face even though I tipped and gave him no troubles at all. I would give three but they over charged the shit out of me for a fill with this design was $60 like what?! Idk why they did that but they did and my nails are OKAY not excellent or great to where I'd be ok with that amount. The shape is fine the nails are bumpy not flat like I'm used to. I was looking for a cheaper place then my usual but I left feeling like they ripped me off I can pay the same amount at my regular place and have better quality nails. Sigh I had high hopes. I would go back here though only to the owners because their clients nails were coming out bomb. But, 2 stars for overcharging me. Never again! I've been coming here since it opened. They do nice nails for a good price, so I've been a loyal customer. I have driven here from San Martin because they were my go to. Over the years they've gotten busier and less professional. They do not care about they're loyal customers or any customer. They lie and say they don't do appointments on the weekends, yet you get there at 9am and the person you want is already booked till 2pm. I've gotten stuck with bad nail artists twice. Today was the last time I will ever go. I went in for a full set and a gel pedicure. My mom wanted a fill and a pedicure also. Van is one of the people who has been there the longest. She used to be quiet and nice, but now she is rude and loud. She got upset and started talking in her language and walked away from me. I asked her to tell me what she was saying in English and she "explained" it to me, but basically yelling at me. I told her to not get loud and rude with me - even another customer getting a pedicure told her she WAS being loud and rude. After telling me that's "how she talks" she threw her hands in the air and sat back in her chair. She ignored me and didn't apologize. I was supposed to have my nails done my Van after, but I left. Me and the 20 other people I have taken there in the past almost 8 years will NEVER be returning. Getting your bails done should be relaxing, but they make it VERY stressful! read more

Wanted to try a different nail salon and heard about k3 through friends and ig. So I made an appointment for 6 pm with Thao and it seemed like everyone goes to her. Once I got there I had to wait 30 minutes cause Thao started to work on someone else. Um.. what was the appointment for then? I showed her a picture of what I wanted which was an almond set with a design and she ended up giving me a coffin set with plain gel color. Wth? A few of my nails are not even straight and they're for sure noticeable. There's gel polish on my skin, and small bumps in the polish. It seemed like I was Thao's last customer cause she was rushing her job and throwing my hands everywhere and not being as gentle...and after I was done and got up to pay she says "sorry I'm usually not a bitch, I'm just hungry." For a first time customer I'm so turned off by how unprofessional my experience was. You get what you pay for! I should have asked for Jen instead. Or stick to color nails. read more

I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that after 20 something years, this my first pedicure (aside from what I attempt in my own home) ever. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but $15 for a basic pedicure is hard to complain about. I just really wanted a clean up of my nails and some color on my toesies after hiding them in shoes for a winter. I forgot who I got, but she was pretty friendly. For the basic pedicure, you get nails clipped, cuticles trimmed, a quick foot scrub, a 2 second leg massage and your nails painted. I got maybe 3 of my nails filed since they were already short, she spent more time on my cuticles than anything, just because mine are pretty gross, she quickly scrubbed my feet, and I got my 2 second leg massage and then she painted my nails super quick and I was done. My nails were not shaped the same and the polish wasn't even. I guess I shouldn't expect much for $15. She did exactly what the menu said and she did take 15 minutes like it promised. Overall, they took me in quickly even though I didn't have an appointment, their pedicure chairs have massage-rs which was cool, but I felt like it was more quantity than quality. I really, really want to give this place a good review. The place is around the corner from my house and it's nice and new and the people are super nice and friendly BUT I had a horrible manicure here. The girl I had was terrible. She filed my nails all wrong and did a sloppy job on the mani. I got a Gelish mani that should have lasted 2-3 weeks and it only lasted 3 days. I want to give this place another shot with another nail technician. I noticed other girls getting really nice mani's with really beautiful designs and what seemed like stellar work so maybe I will give it another try with someone else. My experience there for my first time was very bad. I got my nails done yesterday for a special event coming up. I got them done by the lady to the left of the door in the corner. She was sweet and nice but she is not good at doing designs with nail polish. I spent $65 on nails that barely look like the design that I wanted and although she was kind and talkative that doesn't make up for her bad work. I would have appreciated if she said she couldn't do the design and would of told me to find a easier one to do. read more

I have found my new favorite nail salon! Like most who regularly get their nails done, I am very picky! 1. I don't want my cuticles filed (ouch!) and be gentle with the drummel file (sometimes gets hot!) 2. I want the acrylic/gel applied correctly (not too thick and the colored powder french tips looking natural)! 3. THE most important - I want the nails filed the way I want them filed (flat with rounded corners) and filed uniformly. I can't tell you how it drives me crazy when someone files my nails lopsided or uneven, and worse, that I have to point it out! There is no excuse for that! Jen did all of the above well! They have a HUGE selection of polish brands and colors. Best yet - they have them arranged by color! I love that! I also had a pedicure. I was given a "menu" of options with a price list and was able to choose what services I wanted. There's the basic pedicure for less than $20 if I remember right and then depending on what you added (scrubs, mask, parrafin wax dip, hot-rock massage, etc) the pricing changed accordingly. All very reasonable prices. They also offer a card to track your visits and after 10 stamps you get a free Spa Pedi/Mani. Shop Ambience: The shop was clean, the decor very modern (loved the sink!), the equipment (nail tables, pedicure/spa chairs) were all top of the line. I loved that the ultraviolet light fixtures and fans for nail drying were built into the tables so the table tops were very clean and uncluttered. Free WiFi! I enjoyed being able to watch the Giants game on my iPad/Slingbox while I was getting everything done! :-) I will definitely be a regular customer - thanks Jen! read more

The prices are good and the workers are nice but the cleanliness has made me very skeptical. I brought my friends here and each girl had an issue with their big toe just a week after of their visit. I didn't want to believe that their toe problem came from this salon but it did. Then I encountered a problem in my big toe too! It's not that bad, but it had to be from my recent pedicure. I'm waiting for the soreness to go away at this point. I think I may have to find a new spot that will be a little more careful with their tools, towels, and water baths. read more

The girls here seriously know what they're doing! Oanh was sweet, careful, and thorough. She listens to what I want, but I can totally trust her own opinions. My french mani came out picture perfect! Spa pedicures here actually include a very nice massage. I've been to other places where they just hit your shins a couple times and call it a "spa pedicure". They don't quite hit the 6 minute mark, but I am impressed they're doing it at all. They seem to specialize in decals, too. Their 3D designs are so cute, and admittedly tacky, but I couldn't resist!! Deep down inside I am still a little girl who likes Hello Kitty. hahaha The price is right! Shellac mani - $20 Spa pedi - $15 TIP WELL because this place works the girls as if they're in a sweatshop. I thought I'd give this place a try since it had good reviews, but now I regret it. The lady who was removing my cuticles actually cut me & it started to bleed. She didn't say sorry or oops!.... nothing... THEN she poured nail polish remover on it, so that I could suffer I guess caus it def doesnt stop bleeding. The rest of the appt was fine, but 2 days after my nails were already messed up. I had asked the girl if the rhinestones would last caus if not I didn't want them, she said yes, but they were gone after 2 days. Also the gel she used is fading!.. Its like water color or something. I'm PRETTY disappointed. I walked in, hoping for a nice gel manicure and unfortunately I got paired up with a really lazy "manicurist". First off, she stated that it was her day off and they made her come in. That should've been a red flag because her work ethic proved that she didn't want to be there. She completely rushed the job, did THREE coats making the gel polish super thick, there's a piece of lint stuck on one of them and she didn't even give me a hand massage. Hence, gel MANICURE. So unprofessional. I've neverrrr been so upset with a nail salon. I'm pretty sure the other manicurists are fantastic. But this lazy b needs to go. I usually tip generously and no, I did not tip her. But OF COURSE she took 5$ from the drawer acting as if she deserved it for doing literally only walking in, a shitty job on my nails, and then leave right after. OH and one more thing, after she dipped my hand in the bowl of water, she didn't even change it. And I unfortunately had to witness another manicurist use the SAME BOWL on another woman. UGH. There was a piece of nail in it. I heard so many great things about k3, and I'm positive the other ladies in this salon are wonderful and have much better customer service. But whoever I had.... I'm no expert in mani/pedi, but I have done it a couple times before and this was by far the worst one from those limited experiences. Mostly for my girlfriend that came with me though. From the ratings, seems like it might be an isolated incident, so you can skip the next few paragraphs, it's just me venting: We decided to come on a Saturday afternoon after calling right before asking if there's availability. The first thing I noticed as I entered the shop was the over-whelming nail polish (chemically) smell. I'm pretty sure it's probably not healthy for the workers to be in there for that long of a time. We almost left right then and there, but we decided to stay. They were pretty busy but seems like there were a couple people that are almost done, so we waited only 5-10 mins. As we sat on the chair and dipped our feet in the water, we realized the water was cold! Then one girl nonchalantly said, "Oh yes, we ran out of hot water." This would've been good info to tell us BEFORE we decide to do pedicure, maybe they could've done our mani first. They warmed the water some by using the thermos water. They proceeded to do our pedicure, so far so good. This is where everything went south for my friend. In the middle of the pedi, another girl came over to my friend and started doing her mani. Since we chose a deluxe mani/pedi, it included some special mask/massage. She lathered this blue mask on her hand/arms and it got on her jeans and jacket. She did give her a (damp) towel to put on my friend's lap, but the mask was just all over. This other girl can't speak English very well, yet she was asking my friend all kinds of question for upselling the mani. If was just a confusing and very not relaxing. Because of the multi-tasking, my friend finished first and had to wait for me to finish my mani. I soon realize why they were doing the multi-tasking. Apparently they were overbooked and there was no extra mani station for my friend. They were also people waiting that seemingly had appointments already. I really think they should have better schedule control and not let us come in without appointment like we did. Not only we didn't have a good experience, I'm sure it ruined some of the customers that did have appointment scheduled. Incidentally, my nails reeks of the chemical smell days after - this hasn't happened to me before, so it must be something they used that cause it and cause the shop to smell like it too. First of all...this place is OBSCENCE...run absentee...the workers TALK SHITS about customers. So here is the Drama... Called ahead one beautiful Saturday morning asking to book for pedicure...lady on the other end with broken english said "Yah yah..." Walked in to this dingy place half an hour later...no seat...3 plastic chairs are occupied, the couch had some old lady laid on it, snoozes while waiting for her red pigeon toes to dry...UmK... A scrawny vietnamese woman in uncomfortably high heel told me " 20 minutes" I stood around for 5 minutes with no one offer me a seat or anything...the place reaks with chemical smell and no AC...the manicurists gossip and Bitch about customers in their vietnamses including Me...(bitches please...i am half...i dont speak slang or look like you loosers do but i understand the SHiT you say...) So i told the woman, ill walk to QUICKLY for some coffee and want to reserve my spot...i will be back in less than 10 minutes. And i did! The lady says "Ok OK..." When i was back, the people on the plastic chairs are now on the pedicure chairs and the snoozy woman is still sleeping. There are 2 new people on the plastic chairs choosing color and waiting... Here come the SHIT...ohboy am i mad just to write this! The scrawny bitch walked over to these new people and walked them to their pedicure spots. My thought was OK...maybe they have an appoinment before me...then another one walked in and they sat her down too at the manicure table...? What??? I told the lady that i have been waiting and would like to get help first if she does not mind... This is what she said " 20 minutes...you just walked in...these people are here first." I told her no, i hv been here about 20 minutes ago... her reply " dont count, you walked out..." I said "no i told you i walked across the street for coffee" Her reply " you trouble...and point at the sign that says ...we reserve the right to serve!" Oh Hell no...i know i am about to loose it so I walked out with dignity and UGLY toes...;( I called the place twice after that to talk to the owner in hope to work something out...twice...she is not there and the same crew ask me if i want to schedule for manicure or pedicure. I've had the gelish on my nails for 2 weeks now and they still look great. Yes, your nails grow, but unless someone is looking closely, everyone thinks my nails are fresh out of the salon! I wanted to try this place out because everyone has high views on it. Kinda surprised where this place was because the plaza looked like a doctor's plaza. I'm give this place a 3 star because the person who did my nail didn't fill the nail in all the way to the cuticle. Also, one of my nails are crooked, they don't look like they come out natural-lumpy looking, the paint on my left thumb has bubbles, and the shape is too wide. May is the best!! It was her first day today so I was a little skeptical, but turns out she's amazing! I came in at around 6:45 (45 mins before closing oops) for a full set which takes like 2 hours at places I've gone to before. May was patient and meticulous even though it was almost closing. She asked if I had a picture so she could get exactly what I wanted. I really hope she stays because she really wants the customer to be happy. I got a basic full matte set for 30, but she didn't hesitate to add an extra layer because i thought it was too light even 15 mins after closing. Haven't met a nail technician as conscientious and meticulous as Jen! It was busy, they were short staffed, and she was high on demand, but she made sure every nail was perfect and even. When I was directed to another lady apply gel to my nails, (who is the reason why I am not giving them a 5-star rating) Jen made sure it was done correctly, she really cares about her work/craft unlike most technicians I've experienced. As for the other lady... she was rough with my hands, kind of threw them around and worked on my nails sloppily. I had a flower design done on one of my nails, and she painted gel OVER it... Came here once a while back for a shellac mani and regular pedi. First off, I asked for glitter on my nail tips for my mani, and the girl started putting glitter on the bottom of my nail. I told her I wanted the tips, not the bottom. *girl rolls eyes and gives me dirty look* I told her never mind, and to just put a coat of glitter over the whole nail since it would be too much trouble to fix. It wasn't the fact she messed up that irked me, but it was just her attitude. Then during my pedicure my toe got clipped!!! I honestly didn't feel it when it happened but felt it after when she wiped it with alcohol. I had a small, but deep cut on my toe the next few days. They are very nice and very accommodating. I got there 15 minutes before they closed. Not only were they were able to fit me in, but they didn't rush or skimp. The job was as stellar as always. While I was getting my late day pedicure, I watched them clean the store. DANG! They SCRUBBED everything like a boss. With the ferocity they attacked the basins, I marveled that they didn't take the enamel off. They steam mopped the floor TWICE. I wonder if they'd do house calls. Aside from getting a great pedicure, I also now feel assured that I am patronizing a very clean facility. read more

OK, so this is your neighborhood nail salon. $20.00(not including tip) for a shellac mani. So I came here after work for my first shellac mani. What went Wrong: 1. Not sure...does the mani comes with a mini massage? Well....I didn't one. 2. I asked for short (my nails grow very fast) and square cut. It wasn't to my short liking. Two of my nails were not shaped properly, so I had sharp edges. I filed my nails again when I got home. 3. I noted that from some reviewers as well... the polish on my fingernails did not go all the way to the base, some parts were not completely painted. I had to ask the Manicurist for redo. Two of her co-workers came to check-out my nails. Ok, so round 2 of painting occurred...Honestly, after the redo...she fixed some but not others..I must have like at least 4 color coating on my nails. At this point, I don't want to ask again + my Manicurist started collecting trash bags from the different nail stations...getting ready to close? Like: 1. Color selections, almost too overwhelming for me. 2. Walk-in OK...they have at least 5 Manicurists/Pedicurists on site...this was an odd weekday tho. Overall, maybe I had a rookie Manicurist?
