K9 Closet is a fantastic place to get unique products for your cats and dogs. They have lung tips my dogs and cats adore. And a big bag is very reasonably priced. They also have a wide variety of martingale collars that the owner hand makes. They have a refrigerator stocked with fresh food, dog toys that are "indestructible", and a large variety of cat toys. They have lots of choices for dog cookies, often in themes such as Chiefs or Royals. They always have new and different products available and have a great skin care line for pets with problem areas. I'm obsessed with this store! The staff is so dang friendly I've probably talked their ears off more than once as I work in the pet industry so I love hearing everything and anything pet related. The little store cat I can't remember his name unfortunately but he is a doll! Such a chill cat and is always found hanging out around the store. We've been a K9 closet customer for years. Even after moving to Dallas, we still are customers! We've been all over and have never found collars that match the quality and designs of K9. We've been through 4 collars with them, and all remain in great condition. The only reason why we change them is for the season (Royals and Chiefs) and winter. The martingale collars are outstanding, and hold up to my 70lb American bulldog. I recommend the 2" collar for larger dogs for a better look. If you're in the area, pop in! I just had the best experience at K9! I have walked by this place many times with my dog and finally this time I remembered my wallet. I went in and was greeted immediately. They were very friendly and the owner had her Egyptian sphinx kitty with her. I had never seen one before and thought it was very cool and unique. What a sweet kitty too! I was surprised. I bought a new leash for my dog, a sparkly purple one, and a hair-dryer squeak toy. The owner was so kind and helpful. They do pet portraits there too! I explained I was looking for a doggy backpack so I could make my little fur baby carry my money next time and she said she would order some for the store! I will definitely be back to get it! In the store there is everything a spoiled dog could need! Adorable toys, even "vodka" and "wine" squeak toys. Very cute. The collars and leashes have bling or bows or both or neither! There is a great selection and they are all hand made and she takes custom orders. Great boutique. Prices vary. The leash was $20 and the toy was only $3. As the proud mom of the world's two most handsome dogs (I'm not biased--it's just the facts), I tend to be fairly picky about what I get for them in terms of collars, leashes, and other accessories. As they say, the clothes make the... um... dog? They have to maintain their reputation. That's why my most recent purchase was with K9 Closet. I've been working in the veterinary field in the Kansas City area for eleven years, and we see a LOT of Heidi's work. Her handmade fabric Martingale-style collars are especially popular with the greyhound set, and I've been admiring them for ages. When the boys finally wore through their last set of "jewelry," I decided it was finally time to splurge on them and get them each a K9 Closet creation. I selected a fabric pattern I loved (a print featuring panels from a Silver-Age Superman comic) and gave her my dogs' neck sizes, and she whipped up two adorable Martingale collars with light blue satin lining. They fit the boys' necks perfectly, cinching up just right like they should to discourage pulling on the leash, and it has already improved our walks to have them staying with me instead of struggling to get ahead and half-choking themselves. My only (slight!) beef was the amount of time it took to get to me. I sent in the order almost three weeks ago. My payment didn't go through until last weekend, and the collars arrived last night. Still, for custom handmade pieces, that's not a terribly long wait, and I will definitely be ordering from her again when the time comes for a new collar or leash. Who knows, next time maybe I'll really go crazy and order the hand painted or Swarovski-encrusted buckles. Swanky! read more

I tripped up on this place after walking with my puppy, Cassius, not to far away. We ended up staying for 30+ minutes laughing and looking at stuff with Branden. The shop was amazing, Cassius had a ball. He even picked his own toy. I am originally from KC but live in Chicago so I was looking for a collar for Cassius so he could represent. We ended up buying tons of stuff, including these treats that are apparently like crack to my pup because he loses it when I even touch the pouch. However, I'd have to say the highlight was Robert DeNiro!!!! I'm by no means am I a cat person, but Cassius didn't know what to make of Rob. The cat was so cool and Cassius had no chill as a result. He had never seen at cat up close so he was confused yet curious. It was just the laugh I needed with my little wild pandemic pup! I first purchased K9 closet collars for our first dog Olive. She is adorable and needed snazzy collars. As the only dog she needed to be spoiled with a collection of cute collars with sparkly buckles! The quality and durability of the collars was a nice surprise. As our dog family grew the need for crystal buckles fell to the wayside but I still wanted them to be cute! When I moved to Colorado I tried a local companies collars who claimed to have the worlds most comfortable dog collar. I tried these out and my two boys got bald spots under their neck and one of them, my little Boston (who has terrible sensitive skin and thin thin hair), ended up with scabs!!! We immediately ordered new k9 closet collars. I regret ever wasting my money on anything else. The satin lining is so gentle on their skin, especially if your fur baby has sensitive skin or very thin hair. We also tried the cat collars for the first time recently. Our old cat can shred a collar in no time, we have no idea what she does to them. We have gone through many of the little collars you buy at pet stores. However, her pretty little k9 closet collar is still perfect condition after 3 months and the crystals are even still intact. I'm pretty surprised. We have often had people compliment our dog's collars and I've recommended these collars to all my dog friends. This company is selling a product they don't have, and haven't any knowledge of when they'll have it. The Sleek EZ brush. I ordered it and waited two weeks. No email of order status NOTHING. I called and the employee told me there wasn't any clue as to when they would get the product I paid for. I asked for a refund. No refund was issued. Since then the card I used has expired. She keeps sending me an email w a transaction number of a transaction that never occurred. The owner WILL not even make an effort to verify I didn't receive the refund. VERY POOR customer service. Customer service for online orders is definitely not a priority. Placed an order on December 6th - received confirmation of the order and a shipping policy that stated all orders are processed the same day and ship within 7-20 days. I never received my order and it took 3 weeks to find someone to finally respond to my requests because their Live Chat on the website times out, they don't respond to emails, Facebook Messages, or Instagram Messages. Their 877-DIVA-PET phone number rings and rings and rings and their 816 number has been temporarily disconnected. After finding the owner - I was told sorry we get really busy at Christmas and we must have missed your order. All we can do is refund your money, we simply cannot refund your money and send you "free product". While the collars are very cute - they certainly aren't worth waiting over 30 days for and then not getting them or a resolution to their mistake. Very disappointed. read more
