I'm barely on this side of the valley these days, so I've been dying to try KaDa for a hot minute, and I can definitely say it lived up to the hype! As a big matcha + tea combo fan, I knew I had to try their Jasmine Matcha Cloud and it was really great. The cloud was foamy and earthy, which paired great with the floral notes of the jasmine milk tea. Surprisingly, the milk didn't overpower the drink and the flavor of both matcha and jasmine came through well! Not too sweet either, but I did opt for 50% sweet this time. I did get the popcorn chicken to go and boy that was a treat. Perfectly crispy and seasoned well. The drinks and food all came out pretty fast, and I was the only one there that afternoon. The staff member was very sweet and gave some great suggestions-- I actually think the Jasmine Matcha Cloud drink was not currently on the menu but she so graciously made it for me anyways! KaDa is a must try Vietnamese cafe in the Gilbert area. This spot is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a nice modern setup with about 4-5 tables for seating. Wifey and I ended up trying the Kinako Hojicha, Wintermelon Limeade, and the Banh Mi Dac Biet. The drinks were super refreshing and the banh mi was spot on. We just tried this place last week and have been three times since. We love banh mi and havent been able to find a place in Gilbert that satisfies our banh mi cravings, but we found it here! The staff are all nice and friendly. If you choose to dine in, there are a few small tables and a sitting area. Our favorite is the crispy pork banh mi. KaDa is one of my favorite viet matcha coffee shops. We decided to stop by after lunch. I wanted something refreshing so I got their Chrysanthemum lychee tea. I liked how they had real lychee bits in the drink. It was good, but I would definitely get it less sweet since it was on the sweeter side. My bf ordered the kinako hojicha latte. It was good too, but my only critique is that it was very expensive, about $10 for the size upgrade and oat milk substitute which I think is a little overboard compared to other shops who also sell comparable hojicha lattes. The interior was cute and spacious. They have a couple tables and booths of seating. Staff were nice. Drinks came out quickly. Parking was plentiful as it shares parking in the plaza. read more

01/25/2026 KaDa had been on my list for a long time, so I finally went on a Sunday morning before running some errands. I got there just a few minutes after they opened, and there were already a couple of people waiting for their orders. No line at the counter. I was surprised by how many different matcha drinks they offer. I got the Pandan Matcha with whole milk, 25% sweet. The drink was pretty good. Slightly grainy, though I'm not sure what that was from. Even 25% is a tad too sweet for me. Recently my friend raved about the blended coconut coffee from here, so now I'm curious and want to go back and try the matcha version. Very disappointed in the Bahn Mi, we are always hoping we will find a local spot that is even 50% as good as Pickle Bahn Mi in Long Beach Ca. This was not the spot. The crispy pork belly was not crispy or flavorful & very light on the toppings, we asked for extra veggies & only had slivers of carrot, cilantro & 2 skinny slices of jalapeño. This is so far the best coffee and tea cafe I have been to while visiting AZ. Compared to other spots, this cafe offered coffee drinks that were on point when it came to flavor and presentation. The decor inside was hip and trendy with one of the walls having scribbles from the previous customers. It gave me the impression that this business cares about accommodating its customers by bonding with them in small ways. The sitting area was nice and clean with cool wood striped wall on one side. Today we got the black sesame with Vietnamese coffee which was very tasty. We also got the regular Vietnamese sea salt coffee which is our go to when running low on our caffeine. Today's winner though, was their Matcha Cookies. It was the perfect balance between matcha flavor and sweetness that I had to go back for seconds and thirds. What a cute spot! It's small spot tucked behind Fry's. They offer authentic Vietnamese coffee. All their drinks are iced. I tried their pistachio foam coffee and blended coconut coffee. They're delish! Not too sweet or bitter, and their coconut coffee has the perfect balance between sweet, coffee, and coconut. I ordered it regular, but it can be adjusted to your taste. Their honeycomb cake is a great companion to their iced coffee beverages. Service was quick. We received our food within 5 minutes of ordering. I've seen Kada on Instagram for quite some time now, and finally decided to give it a try during my journey of finding the best matcha in AZ. This cafe is located in Chandler and they have lots of parking out front. We ordered a 16 oz banana matcha and a 24 oz pistachio matcha. They accidentally gave us two 16 oz drinks, and when we told them they kindly remade the pistachio in a 24 oz and still let us keep the 16 oz. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of their matcha. I got the banana, and the banana flavor was sooo strong. I couldn't even taste any matcha at all. The pistachio was a little better, but it still didn't taste that great. Many moons ago, I lived in Vietnam for two of the best years of my life, and walking into KaDa was a nice slice of nostalgia. The menu itself is full of exotic Asian flavors. Both of my friends had Vietnamese iced coffees, and I absolutely love that KaDa brews their coffee traditionally, just like in Vietnam. I opted for an iced wintermelon oolong tea. I'm not usually keen on sugary teas, but however they sweetened this tea was some caramel-tasting magic. There's not a lot of seating in the café, but that's in keeping with the comfiness and coziness of the place. I'll 100% be a repeat customer at KaDa! Was craving a pistachio matcha and luckily I found this spot. I ordered a 24 oz pistachio matcha which was pretty good. We also got the Banana matcha which was decent more on the sweeter side. KaDa is a wonderful place to any matcha lover like myself. They have a variety of matcha drinks that are so tasty such as strawberry, pandan, banana, coconut and seasonal flavors such as mango and pistachio. I of course had to try the seasonal flavors of mango and pistachio. I loved loved loved mango for a fresh summer drink. The pistachio was good too. I have yet to try their other flavors. KaDa does have more drink concoctions such as coffees, foam coffees (where sesame coffee seems like something I would try if I were to drink coffee), milk teas, teas, blendeds and limeades. Of course toppings are available and milk substitutes are available for a minimal fee. Within these other drinks each of them have delicious flavors that I would definitely try. As far as foods they have a very limited selection which was still favorable. I have tried their crispy pork banh mi which was decent. The bread was not soft as I would have hoped as the ends fell apart. The fillings (julienned carrots, one thin quarter of a slice of cucumber, 2-3 pieces of jalapenos, cilantro, sauce) could be a tad bit more. I also tried their popcorn chicken which consisted of tiny bits of chicken where I'm used to bigger pieces of chicken. It was served with a choice of ranch, ketchup or chili sauce and I chose ranch. I would skip this next time. They also serve French fries and Cajun fries for snacks. And their other sandwiches were the grilled beef and lemongrass chicken. They also had the classic banh mi which sounds good for next time. As far as ambience it was a cozy cafe with small tables and plenty of games to play such as Uno, jenga, connect 4, and more. I was looking for a place to grab some coffee yesterday and this place came up. Honestly the drive was super far but definitely worth it. I was reading some reviews beforehand and someone compared it to Airoma and Saigon, I LOVE Airoma coffee so much so I knew it was going to be delicious. I ordered the pandan latte and my boyfriend ordered the marble latte. I think for their lattes they use Vietnamese coffee, I could be wrong though. Once I saw the color of the drinks mixed up, I knew it was going to be a good coffee. The drinks were sweet but not overly sweet. The pandan latte has a rich nutty flavor to it but it didn't overpower the coffee taste. The marble latte was a little sweeter than the pandan but I love a sweet coffee so that would've been perfect for me. The drinks had like the perfect amount of ice, I've noticed nowadays drinks are usually 80% ice and 20% liquid. Overall, I would definitely come back and try out more of their lattes, I have the banana latte in mind for next time! The service was great, the 2 gentlemen there were sweet and greeted us as soon as we walked inside. The shop was fairly small but there is a couple of seating options. April 24 & May 21, 2025. Lately I have been on a Vietnamese cafe kick. I heard Joyce W and Gretel Y rave about this spot and my Vietnamese friend and I knew we had to go! This small and cozy cafe with greenery and a calm vibe welcomed us. The accommodating staff was kind enough to create a pistachio beverage for me due to my lactose sensitivity. Vietnamese coffee with their pistachio milk and oat milk created the perfect beverage for me. Smooth, sweet, nutty and strong. $7.50 We also tried their egg coffee and were told that it would be sweeter than other places and indeed they were right. Sweeter, thicker and richer. A delight for $7.00. It is probably best not to look up the calories online! LOL The Banh Mi Heo Quay-crispy pork sandwich was very good. My friend said that this sandwich is not offered everywhere. The pork was freshly cooked and the sandwich was slightly bigger than at Saigon's but for a dollar more, it was worth the $8.50 and was delicious, not overcooked or chewy! The Banh Mi Dac Biet (Classic Sandwich) a fresh balanced sandwich, with a slightly crispy exterior and soft inside. It was filled with four different meats cilantro and crispy vegetables. My husband and I visited this past Sunday for some drinks. I've reading books about tea and one chapter went on about Jasmine tea - so I was heavily influenced. We had driven past here a few times, so it was time to visit! It was a very small inside, but still cute! We were greeted and helped right away. Tried this place for the first time last weekend and really enjoyed it! I love coconut so got the blended coffee and I asked for it extra strong. It could have been a little stronger but the woman that took our order was very accommodating and answered all our questions since we had never been there. One of my favorite coffee places in the area - so many of the drinks are so good that it's hard to just pick one. When a friend came to visit, she wanted to try KaĐa, so I took her along. I had heard it was cozy, but it was even smaller than I expected! It's not really the kind of place for working or studying to be considerate of other customers. It's more of a grab and go experience. I opted for a pandan latte while she had the sea salt coffee. After trying hers, I can say both were awesome! The pandan latte was light, and honestly, I think I liked it even more than the ube latte! This spot has been on my "must try" list since it opened, and it did not disappoint! Coffee, banh mi, great service, and the cutest decor to bring you a modern, nostalgic feel of being in a coffee shop in Vietnam. The banh mi has a good amount of filling and flavor is pretty good!
