I have been coming here many times throughout the years. Always feel wonderful being taken cared by the friendly waitresses here. Today we went around 3:45pm for early dinner. We were sat at a spacious table. The bbq combo we ordered came with many side dishes, steamed egg, and flavorful soybean paste soup. I particularly noticed the soup came with quite many meat chunks which was wonderful. The beef and pork belly were good quality. We also enjoyed the soju that came with the combo. Overall, we were very satisfied with the consistently good quality at this restaurant! Parking was easy as there was a parking lot.

Haemool pajun without the haemool wth lol

Galbi was really good but the haemool pajun was all flour and some vegetables and I had a hard time finding the haemool (seafood) in the jun. Sam Oh Jung's haemool pajun is 100 times better.

Service is fast but depending how full the place is. They do try to make things happen asap. Great foods but be very careful how you order. The banchans alone are superb and mouth watering. Everything we ordered are so delicious! Great place for a family bonding and even for date nights. We always order the combo b. Meats are well prepped and the abundance I tell ya. Great place. Can it break your wallet? Yes! Easy 400. for a family of 8. Well let's be real, we also love their beers and soju. Haha! Go get yours! The ultimate favorite is the gopchaeng soup. Don't judge if I killed the name. Ask about it. It's wonderful and very satisfying.

Even amongst our close friends and family members, when we talk about Ka Won, we are deeply divided. The division mostly stems from the fact that their waitresses are so busy that they barely have time to give each table proper attention and service. They are constantly short staffed in the main hall and I cannot even imagine how one or two waitresses can handle so many tables all at once on a daily basis. I grew up working in my parents' restaurant and I can clearly see how short staffed these poor waitresses are. So, when I dine in, I usually say a few words of empathy to them as I offer to just take a water pitcher for our table so that they can attend to other things, I always find them to be grateful and they even give us a big smile. Sometimes, that's all it takes to elevate your dining experience. We love Ka Won's food. Their banchans (side dishes) are consistently savory and feel very much homemade. We have come for their mandoo hotpot, which is amazing, and we keep coming back for their Korean BBQ selections. Their quality of meats, the marination, and the resulting taste are all top notch. They are usually busy. The ambiance feels like a very busy Korean restaurant with waitresses with limited English. Please give them a bit of patience, empathy, and understanding.

Ka Won has been a family favorite ever since my dad got stuck in a snowstorm and ended up finding refuge (and hot Mandu soup!) here over 5 years ago. My family came here last week to get our Korean food fill. We ordered: the beef dumpling soup, the beef bulgogi, the seafood and beef spicy tofu stew, the japchae, and the pajeon (seafood pancake). Our total came to around $115 not including tip. While Ka Won's food is generally good, the real draw here is the banchan.- complimentary Korean side dishes They give you at least ten types and you can always ask for refills too! Their banchan includes: potato salad, anchovies, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, fish cake, sesame bean sprouts, rice cake, and a couple of other ones I can't remember right now. Regardless, the banchan variety and quality can't be beat here. With that said, a couple of the dishes were honestly a little bit disappointing this past time. The BEEF BULGOGI was missing the charred KBBQ flavor (note that we did not barbecue ourselves, this was one of the pre-cooked dishes you could order). It was flavored alright, but nothing extraordinary. I'd give this dish a 3.5/5. The SEAFOOD and BEEF SPICY TOFU STEW lacked heat. It also lacked the egg that you usually crack into the boiling soup. Ive definitely had better Soondubu before and so I would give this dish a 2.75/5. The dishes that we liked were... The BEEF MANDU SOUP- the dumplings are HUGE and juicy. This has been my dad's go-to dish since his snow storm incident. The PAJEON (SEAFOOD PANCAKE)- this "appetizer" is huge and has a variety of seafood mixed in a crispy and eggy pancake mix with green onions. Paired with a savory/spicy/sour dipping sauce, it is absolute Heaven. The JAPCHAE was the winning dish this past visit. It had tender piece of bulgogi and a variety of vegetables. The noodles were also well marinated in a sweet and savory sauce and had just the right amount of chew. Service was good. We were quick to get our dishes, but they forgot our silverware initially. We were also short one cup of tea. However, they were busy (every table was taken) and so it's understandable. As far as atmosphere, it's clean and casual. Tables are spaced enough to get through, but not overly cramped. One thing worth mentioning is that they only have one bathroom, so you might be waiting a while. Overall: 3.5/5 for food, 4/5 for service , 4/5 for atmosphere

Another yummy authentic korean lunch with my korean momma. Want quality homemade korean food? Come here. Want budgety all you can eat (not the cream of the crop meat picks) non-authentic kbbq? Then try some place else lol. I love this mom and pop restaurant so much. I have been coming here since I was 5 and will continue showing my love for this place and their yummy food. There is a reason why you see so many Korean people eating here all the time! Because it's really that good.

Food was good- plenty of side dishes. We ordered a bundle; there were plenty of food for the two of us. Service was nice- the waitresses help us with the bbq to avoid overcooking our food. The table that we had was nice and spacious; parking was easy. Overall I would come back again.

Ka Won never disappoints. Their food is considered the OG. You know when the cook is the owner and an older grandma!. You are bound to get old school Korean food which equates to DELICIOUS each and every time. We had the braised black cod which is my go-to and of course you have to always order the Korean short ribs. You can cook it yourself but I like them to bbq it in the back so I can just focus on eating. This time I ordered the sautéed calamari and I'm definitely ordering that again! The service is great even though they usually only have two servers for the whole restaurant. They know what they're doing and they have a good system. The ambience is very "hole in the wall", but I'm not going their for ambience as the delicious food makes up for it! I forgot to take pictures but this time, you'll have to take my word.

First thing that needs to be said is that they seem to be always understaffed and the servers overworked. If you go there with low expectations for service you will be rewarded with very good food. They serve good quality meats and their marinades and sauces are packed with wonderful flavors. The Black Cod with Daikon is pricey but it's especially delicious. The Bulgogi here is pretty special too. The ribeye beef is tender and sauced perfectly. Go for the food and tolerate the service. It's worth it.

Seafood Pancake ~ large & thick.

The review gossip about the restaurant servers is hilarious! Truth is, it is an anomaly to find great service in any Korean restaurant, especially for BBQ service. That said, knowing how to smooze here with the staff is key for the attention everyone complains for here. Treat them kindly and you will get some "suh-be-suh" ;) The raw meat quality is arguably the freshest in town. Pajun Pancake packed with seafood. Well stocked with a variety of Korean beer and soju. Banchan assortment is newly made and not overly salty. The grill is old school porcelain where you can keep the meat on warming without building up burnt char. Specialty ~ the "old kimchee". A secret special here if you know to ask for it. Fermented deliciously while retaining the crisp radish bite. So good. Ga Won is not date night decor. No individual table ventilation so your contacts will dry out from the blasted air conditioning. Just suited for meat lovers wanting a carnivore night.

My friends and I drove from Kirkland to visit this place and while it was good, the value of the food itself is not worth it compared to other korean bbq places around the area. We were a party of 5 and we got one of their group bundles plus 2 individual items. The servings were pretty small in relation to the price and our total is around 35 dollars per person including tip which is pretty close to an AYCE meal. The food itself was good but it does not stand out for me to point out anything. However, the service and the vibes of this place is pretty nice. Since there's not a lot of people, it's a great place to catch up with some friends and just stay at the table to chat. Parking was also easy! It's in like a city center area so there's a lot of free parking.

    The spread!

My husband went with white wheat noodles and I chose the clear sweet potato noodles. It also came with rice, which was an unexpected but welcome addition. The banchan of kimchi radish and kimchi Napa cabbage were both excellent and refilled quickly without needing to ask twice. The soup is rich, creamy, and deeply comforting, the kind you immediately wish you had closer to home. Only wish is that they had a combination that included tendon, because that would be perfect. Definitely a spot I would come back to when we are in the area.

The jajung was basically noodles, brown sauce, and onions. It was tasty, but disappointing that it looked and tasted vegetarian. The jjamppong was tasty because it was garlicky and slightly spicy. The service was excellent, and like the LA locations, they handle the grilling for you (a premium touch you don't always find at local KBBQ spots). The menu and pricing are very similar to what you'd expect from the brand. I did notice a slight dip in food quality compared to LA. The meat there tends to be leaner, the seasoning is a bit more refined, and they are much more proactive about swapping out the grill plate between different cuts of meat. That said, chain standards are usually highest in LA, so that's a tough comparison. Overall, it's still a fantastic experience. If you're a first-timer or comparing it to other options in the Lynnwood area, I definitely recommend giving Baekjeong a try!

I had Dawa on my bookmarks for a long time ever since I saw videos about it and just the overall good reviews. We came in and saw that the place was pretty packed on a Thursday night but we were noticed quickly by a male employee and seated right away thankfully. Once we were seated, we were handed water and utensils as well as directions on how we can order as they have a small kiosk. We put in our order of galbi fried chicken, pork on the bone stew or gamjatang, and grilled pork belly. Once the order was entered, our waiter came back with rice, banchan, sauces and accompaniments for the pork belly, salad (think it comes with the grilled pork belly), pickled radish for the chicken and plates and bowls to share. It didn't take too long for food to come back but it didn't all come together which was odd but luckily the chicken was for sharing. The gamjatang was huge and pretty good, not as good as one of my favorite places in Federal Way but I will admit that they do give some huge pieces of meat and offer a one time refill of the soup. It could use more of a kick and more seasoning. The chicken as many others have mentioned was extremely well-fried, marinated and extremely huge. I do think they have the biggest Korean fried chicken pieces that I have ever seen in Washington. The meat was juicy, the outside was crunchy, and the sauce was heavenly. My boyfriend did say the grilled pork belly was some of the best he has ever had in his life, which is super high praise and I will admit that it is very good as well! They had an interesting playlist ranging from K-pop to regular pop (lots of Justin Bieber) and sometimes they would tone it down a bit then start blasting it. The two male servers working that day (7/16/26) were fantastic about checking in at perfect times, were courteous and refilled our waters. We never had to use to kiosk to call them once which I appreciated very much. My boyfriend and I look forward to coming back and definitely want to give a heads up that their portions are huge so come hungry!

Seems like more of a social hangout spot for late night eating and or drinking. If you want a nice quiet dinner, this isn't the spot. My group and I ordered the Korean fried chicken and the kimchi pancake to start. The appetizers didn't take that long to come out. Everything came out hot and fresh. The chicken was standard fried chicken size and came with 10 pieces. It came with 2 pieces of drumsticks and the rest were chicken thighs. The kimchi pancake was super crispy. We also ordered the beef tofu soup and the chicken bulgogi entree. The tofu soup was a lot - it did not come with an egg unlike other spots. The chicken entree was flavorful overall.

There were only one other group when we came in around lunch time on a Sunday. It looks like it gets crowded in the evening so it was a surprise to find the place so empty, but we didn't mind. The lady who was serving us was very friendly and came back a bunch of times to ask if we need more tea. We were there way longer than how much we spend time at typical BBQ place, but she didn't seem to mind, which was nice. We had the beef combo, cold noodles, and squid and veggie stir fry, and that was way more than we needed. We thought the combo comes with only two bowls of rice but they added another one, seeing that we are party of three. That was nice. Banchan was pretty good and I kind of wish I ate more of it before the meat arrived because I got full from other items quickly. Cold noodles were average. Of the four kinds of beef in the combo, I liked three of them except for one (I believe it was the NY steak) - one item was leaner/dryer than other NY steak I had elsewhere. The combo also came with individual sauces (two types - salt in oil and sweet-ish sauce). The sweet sauce was quite forgettable and so I kept dipping the meat in the salt in oil sauce, but I wish they offered other sauce...maybe like soy sauce based ones or just plain salt. The squid stir fry was spicy and I enjoyed it. The combo also came with tofu soup, which was also pretty good. Overall, there were minor stuff that didn't go with my preference, but I had a nice time at WuJu!

Tried the gangam family set (came with mackeral, bulgolgi, steamed egg, soft tofu soup). The mackeral was larger than expected and tasty and everything was fresh. Bulgolgi was alright but I liked everything else. We also got take out which included a beef soondobu (tofu stew) and bibimbap and it was very nice that they included a portion of banchan, nicely separated by little sample paper cups. Everything was packed neatly and was hot. The soondobu was tasty and came with purple rice which was nice. Bibimbap was also good but I wish that they provided a little more sauce to go with it. Overall, this is a solid place.

For appetizers I get the kimchi pancake (although it's huge and you can order it for an entree) or japchae. For entree ,I like getting the Sullungtang/Seoullongtang soup or spicy pork bulgogi donburi. The donburi comes in stone pot so the food comes out sizzling hot. If you order an entree it comes with complimentary side dishes that they also refill. The waiter is also nice and attentive. The tables and inside bathroom are also always clean.
