Between the 4 of us and what we got I thought the prices were beyond reasonable. We got a combo, and many bottles of soju and beer as well. The side dishes were amazing, and better quality than what you usually get at KBBQ in the area. We got luckily and got seated pretty quickly on a Saturday happy hour time, and parking was super easy to find. Had a blast drinking/eating with the girlfriends.

Quite surprised to see Namdo having a relatively low rating here on Yelp - I had a great experience dining here. I came with a large party of 10 on a Saturday evening, in which we were split into two tables. We came during happy hour, so we opted to get the happy hour special, which consisted of 4 types of different meat IIRC (pork belly, brisket, bone in short rib, and something else?) and some sides. We also got some appetizers like fried chicken. Food was delicious, well past my expectations. You do have to grill your own meat, but everything is marinated and seasoned well. I would say the thing that puts Namdo apart from other KBBQ joints is their side dish selection. They had a great variety of stuff like yukhoe, tofu, some spicy noodle dish. Everything was super yummy and the staff was very nice in helping us refill side dishes frequently.

We walked into a 8pm & after HH, so we got lucky with a cheaper combo for grilling. You're first greeted with a beef soup which was great on a cold night. The meats were good quality, but we were most impressed with all the variety of side dishes that come with the combo. They are not your typical sides. While they were ok and not great, it was still different with good presentation. They are definitely trying! We kept saying, "How are they able to make money with all this food?" They are really generous with the amount of meat and dishes. Maybe because we came without any expectations and the HH surprise pricing, my friends and I all said we'd return with our families. I hope they do well!

It was such a great first experience walking into this restaurant on a whim while heading somewhere else. I'm glad we decided to change our plans. My husband and I were greeted warmly and seated promptly. We arrived right when they opened, so we were among the first to get in. The restaurant was decorated in a cultural style throughout, and the booths were charmed with Korean children's books. Our server asked whether it was our first time there, then explained how the ordering process works. We started with a delicious appetizer, pajeon (pan-fried seafood scallion pancake), crispy on the outside, warm and well-seasoned inside. We also enjoyed a few banchan (small side dishes served with rice) alongside our appetizer. Our main dishes were grilled bulgogi (grilled beef) and Jeyuk Bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork). All of the dishes were delicious, the prices are fair, and we look forward to returning next time to use the grill.

Our party was excited to try a new Korean BBQ in Bothell. If looks and presentation were worthy categories for a 5 star review, I think Namdo would deserve it. Unfortunately, the dining experience fell short of expectations. Heres why: We ordered the Namdo Special (Regular, $159) which comes with premium banchan (side dishes) included. The banchan exceeded expectations! Some noteworthy side dishes were the beef tartar, fried potato pancake, and pickles sampler. The meat quality was above average with again excellent presentation. The brisket, ribeye, short rib all come unseasoned, so dipping into sesame oil, salt, soybean paste, and their house sauce is a must. For a family of 4 ordering the regular special set, the total price after tip and tax is $200. For an establishment that presents itself as a unique and higher-end KBBQ restaurant, $200 does not include the staff changing the grill or cooking the meats. It is expected to cook your own meats at lower-end KBBQ or at AYCE. For this set menu, we expected more staff service to pair with the presentation of the meal. Our party left with our bellies full and content with visiting. However, at this price point we expected higher quality service, noting they are running understaffed and reminders were necessary to clear plates, items to be brought to the table, and to check in on how we were doing. I think others would agree that Namdo has areas to improve in for the level of service, execution of dining experience, especially for the volume of food offered at this price point. We do appreciate the great atittudes the staff at Namdo had. They were extremely friendly, accommodating, and flexible. I would like to see Namdo address these staffing challenges and provide full service meat preparation and grilling, tableside.

Just went and loved it! Everyone there was so nice! They went above and beyond I terms of service where they constantly looked after our little one and were always making sure we were ok. The food was also excellent, we got the small bbq beef combo and it was more than enough for the 3 of us. And the price was great too. Considering how high the quality of the meat was, we were shocked by how reasonable the price was. Highly recommend here.

Food- great quality meats with unique, seemingly gourmet Korean side dishes. Presentation excellent. The Namdo Special was a fantastic value! Service- Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable. We loved the fact that we didn't smell like bbq when we left because of their special suction grills. This is definitely my new favorite spot for Korean BBQ

We just moved here from CA Bay Area, and missed the KBBQ there. NAMDO is hands down one of my favorite spots now. PROS: - we ordered the small Beef Combo, and it was plenty of food for 2 people. Would recommend getting an additional item if you have 3 people. The meats were DELICIOUS! I normally don't like marinated meats but every plate of meat was delicious. - the small beef combo had 7 dishes of meats. Not huge portions or each, but I appreciated the variety and quality, over quantity. - They gave 2 sauce options and I don't know what was in them, but they were freaking delicious! - the Beef combo came with different options for a side stew. We went with their new risotto which was a mix of beef, rice and noodles. It was delicious!! - the staff were SO kind and helpful! OKAY: - the banchan display was beautiful, and the bean sprout dish, salad and kimchi were good! They also gave a small bone broth soup which was delicious. - FYI $5 banchan refill. We didn't need to refill, but this was the first time I've seen this at a KBBQ place. I can see why though, there was a lot of thought in their banchan items. - I wish the risotto stew came out around the same time as the meats. It came out at the end after we were almost done eating, but honestly not a big deal! Overall: would definitely recommend for an affordable KBBQ spot with high quality meats and marinades!

We were excited to hear about a new Korean restaurant in Bothell so my husband, myself, and mom in law gave it a try during its soft opening. It pains me to write this review but we all left disappointed. I love to support local Korean restaurants (I'm Korean!!) but overall, this restaurant was expensive and equally stingy. We understand it's a soft opening and they have to work some stuff out. Nevertheless, here's my overview: 1) The banchan/side dishes were high quality. I loved the beef bone broth soup in the beginning. The down side is that refilling the side dishes cost $5 so make sure to finish all your side dishes! Maybe offer 1st round of side dishes as free and then $5 for 2nd round (?). There was about three pieces of kimchi and the pickled sides were small piles. The salad was pretty but the dressing had no flavor. 2) Rice did not come with our order/meal. We ordered ddukboki appetizer, beef brisket, and pork belly a la carte and ended up having no rice because we didn't want to pay $3 per rice - that's $9 for 3 people. This alone won't have us coming back. 3) The ddukboki looked great but unfortunately barely had any rice cakes and mainly was filled with extra stuff. For $15+, not quite worth it. 4) We arrived at 1:30 pm and ordered pajeon (seafood pancake and our favorite) only to find out they ran out (?) after we ordered. We recommend you indicate this on the online portal so customers are not disappointed. 5) The quantity of meat was very small. There was a small plate of beef brisket and three long pieces of pork belly. We usually end up full after KBBQ but we were still hungry and ended up going to McDonald's afterwards (no joke). They gave us one mushroom top (literally 1) to go with the beef brisket. We split it into two tiny pieces for my husband and I. 6) The menu and ordering all goes through a screen on one end of the table so expect one person to handle this part. I had to read off all the menu items to everyone and we ended up asking a physical menu for my mom in law who was older. Hopefully they can accommodate methods of ordering for all generations or have a QR code so everyone can at least look at the menu. 7) Customer service was not the most memorable. The kids were polite but lackluster. We were checked on once only throughout the meal. I feel like for a soft opening, you want to be slightly more generous so people can speak volumes about their experience and refer other people. Their business model (charging for rice, side orders, lack of exciting and invigorating customer service) won't be sustainable. We love the AYCE KBBQ Palace in Bellevue but live in Lake Stevens so we want a go-to Korean BBQ place to go to that is closer. I'm so sorry for the tough review but hope the owners see this in making some improvements with eliminating charging for rice and side dishes. PLEASE DO NOT NICKEL AND DIME customers. You will lose customers before you gain :(. My family owned a small Korean restaurants for decades and I know the incredible hard work that goes behind all of this and really want this place to succeed but please read your reviews!

    Cold noodles

Service and amiance was great. Food was just okay. We got the cold noodles, fried chicken, and kimchee fried rice. Cold noodles were too sweet and did not have very many toppings, broth, or ice and was somewhat bland, even with 1/3 bottle of vinegar and the tiny hot mustard that was provided. It was also not very cold. Fried chicken was not typical of Korean fried chicken reminded me of fast food chicken tenders and most of the basket was filled with fries (this would be good for kids). The fried rice could use a little more kimchee and seasoning. Probably would not get these dishes again for the flavor or the price. I would give it another chance to try the meat.

The staff were very attentive and would immediately replenish our radish if we were low. The jjamppong and jjajangmyeon tasted fine, if anything the jjajangmyeon was a little sweet. The fried rice however (without the jjajang sauce) was pretty bland and a bit dry. I don't know if it's intentional because they give the sauce on the side but I'd like to have the rice taste good without the assistance of the sauce. Other than the bland and dry rice, my only other nitpick would be that the jjajangmyeon came out a lot later than the other dishes. Otherwise we paid around $117 (without tip), for five dishes and two appetizers, which I think is pretty good for this area.

You really taste the spice if you ask for it. In long We've been talking about kimchi fried rice for 3 weeks, and finally got an order in. We're trying to cook at home more these days, but we opened the app and we were total suckers for the special. It was just a few bucks off, but when we built the order, it was 2-for-1, so we have an awesome pile of leftovers now. Showed up fast, still plenty hot. Kimchi fried rice Awesome chewy texture, great spicy tart kimchi flavor, savory fried egg on top with extra seasoning just on the egg. They sat us at a relatively private area since we are here with a toddler that requires a high chair. We ordered the lunch special Kalbitang ($22.99), Bossam set ($23.99), and the spicy chive pancake ($9.99). They provided kids utensil and a plate, which is super helpful even though we didn't ask for it. Our food came after 10-15 min of wait, and there were 10 side dishes (all of them are delicious btw). We also got a side salad and fish cake soup, which might be a lunch special thing? I'm not sure. I'm not a big fan of the salad dressing, but it's complimentary so no complaints there. Everything we ordered was delicious. There were tons of chives in the pancake, and the meat was tender in kalbitang. My toddler also ate a lot of pork, beef, rice, eggs (in kalbitang), and broccoli. The only downside is that there is only one waiter taking care of orders/bills, so it could be a bit slow. However, everyone was friendly to my toddler and a waitress came to check on us in the middle of our meal too. She also smiled at my toddler as well. The only downside is that we asked for tea, but we got water instead. I had to ask again, but that mistake is really minor. I prefer this location over the Lynwood one as that one is always way too busy and super noisy. It's quieter here and the ambiance is better. Overall, we had a good time dining here with our toddler. Definitely a spot I would come back to when we are in the area.

High-quality meat and excellent service. For those unsure of what or how much to order, this review…read moreshould help. For a group of four adults with a normal hungry, we ordered a small beef set and fried chicken, which was plenty. The banchan was fantastic, especially the Myungranjut. The meat quality was outstanding for a K-BBQ place, and the service was superb. Our server proactively replaced the grill grate to make sure no burnt bits remained! The vibe is casual enough but can be also formal enough for a date. Needless to say, I left a very generous tip.

Steamed eggs came out looking amazing (haven't seen it like this before) but was on the dry side; to each their own but we like it more brothy like Chicken wings were ok not great... the dish I didn't expect much from was the fried rice but it turned out to be the best dish!! Not because it's just "better than the other dishes" but it was truly amazing, it just had a great taste to it! Soup was yummy too and came with clear noodles Proportions are to the smaller size making prices a bit high but banchans were refilled quickly. Recommend because their food had its own special taste/ dishes that you will remeber it by. Was a fun place to eat and staff was friendly!

There were even options for one person in our party who was vegan. The service was good. Everyone was so kind and polite. Will definitely come back and try more items on the menu.

My twin sister and I came here today and had one of the strangest customer service experiences I've…read moreever had. After ordering a beer/soju tower, our server asked for our IDs, which is completely understandable. However, she proceeded to examine them for an uncomfortably long time while repeatedly looking back and forth between my face, my ID, and my sister. She then told me I "don't really look like" my ID photo because my hair is different and even commented that my ID looked more like my sister than me. We're twins! At one point she had both of our IDs side-by-side comparing them while continuing to question things. I finally told her that while I understand validating IDs, the interaction was making me feel like the legitimacy of my ID was being questioned. What made it even more awkward was her repeatedly commenting that the tower we ordered was "a lot of beer," which honestly felt judgmental and unnecessary. We are clearly adults, presented valid IDs, and were simply ordering something from the menu. That said, the actual food was delicious. The BBQ combo we ordered was excellent, the sides were plentiful, and overall the meal itself was really enjoyable. It also seemed like the server realized the interaction had gone poorly because she later brought us complimentary soup and dessert, which we did appreciate. We still tipped well because we understand serving isn't easy and wanted to be fair. But honestly, the initial interaction left such an uncomfortable impression that if I returned and saw the same server again, I'd probably immediately feel uneasy. There's absolutely a professional way to verify IDs without making customers feel scrutinized or subtly accused of fraud.
