    Pan de sal

Ordered dilis and turon, both very good and fresh. Pan de Sal was really good too. Service was fast and they were nice. I like that it's connected to the snoice halo halo shop. Will be taking my dad here

Good local spot with Filipino food. It is all served to go and kind of like cafeteria school style. They package your food in a to go container and any meats or soap in styrofoam cup like containers and Saran Wrap to prevent spills. They give you a good amount of food. Tastes homemade. I got the soup, pancit, menudo and sig sig. The soup I thought was sinigang which is my favorite but it ended up being like a pork and cabbage soup. The food was good. They also have lots of baked goods and desserts. The pan de sal looked good. No where to sit but you can go next to Snoice to sit. They are connected to one another.

I was craving some Filipino desserts . The store is very small and can get very crowded . I came at the end of the day so there wasn't that many choices left but I picked up Biko which was so yummy some Ensaymada which stole the show and cheese rolls they were so good!

Make sure you check the dessert before you buy. We learned the hard way. This is the bread with cheese in the middle(sometimes ube) and sprinkled sugar on top. The dark areas in the photo is not ube. It's the most mold I've seen ever. Sad because the food wasn't bad.

Good food but one have to go early or else they ran out of food choices by 3 to 4pm. I wish they'll have more choices in the afternoon.

Wow, husband and I are still trying to figure out how we missed this place when we came to the…read morebakery a couple of doors away! So I was craving a certain Filipino dish, diniguan. And most of the ones I have tried does not compare to moms cooking. Because of mom's health she no longer cooks.... Husband was so kind listening to my food cravings and doing research, he found this place. First, this place is located in strip mall mostly made of food stops. Secondly and importantly, the parking is no joke! Come early and watch where you park. The parking is not plenty and the area is narrow, making it a challenge to see when pulling in or out of a parking space. When you get out of your car your sensory will be on overload on the aromas that seem to hook you by the nostrils! You walk in the restaurant and you will see the tables most likely all taken. How it works is you walk up to food counter and select what items you want. They offer different platter options. It was a lot going on up the food menu on the wall above the staff. Behind the counter it is well staffed so even though the line may be long it moves pretty quickly. Husband and I decided to go with a two item platter. My platter I choose half and half (rice and noodles) . My two items were chicken adobo and diniguan. We got an order of lumpia too. I found the chicken adobo to be pretty good! The chicken portion was pretty good. With chicken adobo there seems never to be enough of the sauce to saturate the rice. The diniguan to my surprise passed the test! It was tasty and had the right balance of flavors! I saved half to share with mom and she liked just as well. A plus for us is they serve seltzer (soda water)! They do have a self serve water station off to the side. The lumpia was good, but I probably would try one of the skewers next time. I forgot to mention that we had to ask to share a space at a table with another couple as there were no more open tables. They gladly shared. There are not outdoor seating. I would definitely visit this spot again.

We came around 11:30am, hoping for breakfast but missed it. There was a long line but it moves fairly quick. We also ordered one chicken inihaw that my husband enjoyed. Unfortunately, they ran out of the pork inihaw and had barely started grilling more. The wait time would have been much longer. The costs were around $22 including tax and a Diet Coke. There was plenty of seating but it's first come first serve. The parking lot was chaotic--no surprise there but we were able to snag a spot. Overall, this is a great turo-turo spot! I'd come back.

Hubby and I were literally blown away by the richness, savory, thickness and flavorful stew. Kare Kare is my all time fav Filipino dish, and THIS has been the best I've ever eaten. Guys, please order this, you will not regret it. The lechon is such a unique touch to this Filipino classic. Never had it crispy, honestly it exceded our expectation. And def will be on rotation. We also got the Tortasilog, and man...the smokiness and flavors, just delicious. Another all time fav. The flavors just hit. The sisig fries were good, a San Diego spin on one of my fav ulam's. Flavorful but a bit too vinegary for my taste. But if you're into that, you must try it. I loved how they had a menu with pictures, it really helps those who have never had the pleasure to try our food. Your eyes eat first and I think visually the pics were mouth watering. We wanted to try everything. The ambiance is really cute, I enjoyed seeing the sari sari store and all of the native goods from the motherland. I'm a filipino/american born and raised in the US, so I enjoy seeing my culture everywhere. Great service, ample seating. Highly recommended local joint. Can't wait to try more dishes. Honestly, this place gives the most authentic Philippines vibe here in San Diego. Eating here genuinely makes me feel like I'm back home in the Philippines. The workers are kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. They speak Filipino and don't try to overly Americanize the experience, which makes it feel even more authentic. I seriously can't stop recommending this place to people because it's just too good!
