We were up in that area. Looked for a Persian restaurants to eat at. We picked this place. Everything look good at the beginning. The yougart and shallots was very good. The only thing is when they brought it they didn't bring us any dishes to put our portion on. Rest of the food arrived. The beef barg and kobideh was what I had ordered. The kobideh was not bad, it tasted like a combination of ground beefs. However, the barg was not. Fatty and did not taste good. Left half in a napkin . We also had ordered chicken and it was salty. The hot tea was with tea bags in a cup. A Persian restaurant serving you tea with tea bags! The restaurant decorations are nice looking and the people seem very nice, I do give them a plus for having a choice of sangak with the kabobs. However, The food we had was not very good to justify the $71.00 we paid for the two dishes, one appetizer and a hot tea. read more

I definitely wouldn't recommend this place if your looking for authentic Persian food. Because it's really not close. It looked like a really nice place in a large shopping center with lots of parking. They have a nice patio outside in the front. On a nice warm day it would be great. So for me I know how Persian food should taste because I am Persian. I ordered Tah dig which is the burnt rice and it always comes with a stew on top of it. Of course this place had to charge me $15 for the stew and then another $4 for the Tah dig. What a joke. I got the chicken kabob that was bleeding out saffron juice cause they had put so much. I got zereshk polo which tasted horrid. Like the zeresh wasn't even cooked. My chicken was juicy but so greasy. Like my whole plate was yellow and greasy. The rice was bad. And there prices are too much. The server was really nice and that's why I gave 2 stars. If not this would have been a 1 star rating. I wouldn't recommend if your looking for good Persian food. And the price kinda decent but could be better. We had the tadik with the green mushy soup and it was ok. But didn't know they charged us separately. And that was kinda pricey. This is, hands down, the best lamb kababs I've ever had. I seriously didn't know meat could taste so good. Very juicy and well seasoned. Their rice is tasty and plentiful. Love their sauces and dips. Kababe Grill was one of the few places open on 4th of July. My boyfriend, our friend, and I originally had plans to hang out at Taps after catching a movie on the 4th. Since Taps was closed, we decided on kabobs over Hawaiian bbq for lunch, and we were so glad we did. Some might think that the food is a little pricey, but I think the portions and flavor make up for it. Our friend ordered the barg kabob (filet), my boyfriend got the soltani (comes with both koobideh + filet kabobs), and I got the lamb shank. They give a good portion of meat and a mountain of rice on your plate. The meats were grilled perfectly, and my lamb shank was so tender, it fell off the bone. It also wasn't gamey at all. I finished up the lamb shank pretty quickly, but I had plenty of rice leftover to take home. Between the 2 kabob plates, I think the soltani plate has better value because you get twice as much meat for only $4 more than a one-kabob plate. I didn't get her name, but our server was so friendly and attentive. I think she should get all the stars for this review. We'll definitely be back again. read more

There is a board outside that is written Specials. When I ordered from the board I was told they were for Lunch however it was 6 pm. I would think that the board would be taken inside if they were for lunch only. I ordered the special and asked for half salad and half rice. My ordered was rice only with my kabob. I was also charged $5 more. When I spoke to the server I was told that was a Lunch Special although the board said Special. I didn't think $5 was a reasonable charge for rice with a few lentils and dates. I had an appt at 7 and just accepted the charge and left. Today I called to speak to the owner or manager about the situation. The same server was there and spoke and went let me say one word.
