I was in the area and wanted something healthy, Mediterranean is always a safe bet. This place has amazing reviews and was pretty close by so I decided to stop by. I am so glad I did. This place is in a huge shopping center with a mojitva juice bar, L.A Fitness & Chick Fila. Parking is so easy, on a Saturday I got to park super close by. Loads of free parking. I got a plate with two skewers and chose my zucchini as grilled veggies, I don't eat rice so I got a Shirazi Salad & it was $4 extra. The Garlic Sauce was amazing and I absolutely loved it. For my plate I paid $23, its very delicious, high quality food. I got a sample of the hummus as well. The business model for this place is amazing, the owner is so smart, clean, good service, authentic. I'm Middle Eastern and eat loads of middle eastern food & eat so much kabob. This is one of the best places I have been. I will definitely come back when I am in the area and recommend this to many people. read more

I tried this place a couple times now. I usually call in to go orders. I recommend the Soltani Plate. It comes with filet mignon and a ground beef skewer. The quality is very good. The price is not cheap but that's what you pay for. It shares a huge parking lot so no problems there. I definitely recommend. read more

Quite the spread!!! Needed a large order for a party at home and Kababe Grill did us proud! They have family meals ranging from 4-16 people and the meals vary in number/type of skewers but they all come with rice, roasted veggies, ikra, yogurt and cucumber, hummus, beans, salad, pita, lavash, garlic sauce, sumac, butter, and lemon. My favorite skewers were the beef and chicken koobideh. Super juicy and flavorful! The sides were also really good especially the ikra and beans. You can order up to an hour in advance before pick up and the staff is super friendly! read more

Tried this place for the first time today and was very pleasantly surprised! I ordered online just based off the high review rating but didn't browse through photos since it was getting pretty close to curfew and we had to order before places closed. At first I was a bit taken aback by the prices since the online menu just mentions the meat descriptions and not the accompaniment but after picking up our weighty order I knew I was in for a really filling dinner. When we came in to pick up, we were greeted by a lovely lady that even added in two free pastries to our bag. I'm not sure if it's because it was 7:30pm and close to closing or just as a thank you for the support but it left a smile on my face either way. The food was nice and hot when I got it and stayed hot until the more than 15 mins before I got home. Very securely packaged, no spills or leaks as well. Okay onto the food! The food was so good! My beef koobideh ($15) was super tender and flavorful, not at all dry like it tends to be at other places. The roasted veggies are also roasted so nicely you can taste a good char on each one of them, I actually wish I had some more. The rice was good as well, you just know good rice when you eat good rice. Also comes with some lavash, a pat of butter and what I believe is a garlic sauce (the kind you get in shawarma). I also ordered two of the lamb shank ($21) for family and they both really enjoyed it as well. It comes with the same sides as mentioned previously. The meat fell off the bone cleanly and so tender you could shred it with a plastic spoon. Well spiced and well seasoned and they provide the extra braising sauce for dipping and saucing while you eat. The portions they give you easily justify the price you pay. None of use were able to finish our food in one sitting (which is why I haven't gotten to tasting their pastries yet!) and even if we did, our hungry bellies would still thank Kababe Grill. All in all, would definitely come back! One day I hope to be able to sit in and fully enjoy the food fresh on warm plates but for now I'm still glad I was able to order their food to enjoy at home. My fav Middle Eastern Food place! I actually catered through them for my son's first birthday. My go to is the Lulu kabob which is the most tender meat. I love their rice and hummus! We are always looking for a fantastic falafel and for lunch today we had the falafel wrap and koobideh wrap at Kababe. The falafel wrap had so much raw onion in it that I started emptying it. Then the koobideh wrap was nice but had so much cilantro in it that it was VERY overpowering. What can I say, it's one of the best kabab place I've been to. Meat is tender, juicy and flavorful! Portions are good size. If you don't eat too much you can share a plate along with an appetizer. Their hummus is great. Ask for Dill sauce and garlic sauce (if you love garlic and not planning to talk to others rest of the day lol). I'm rating this by service and food. The food is good and customer service is good. But a major flaw that concerned me was when my aunt ordered her drink (Doogh). The glass was chipped and we simply did not notice until a chunk fell off the glass. I was relieved that it fell off the outside part of the glass because if the chip would've fallen inside the glass, that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. I hope for future reference they are more careful in their kitchenware as they are probably cheap and old and the owner doesn't want to invest in new ware. Eat at your own risk. read more

If you love mediterranean or persian food, this is the place for you! I am asian and I love love love Kababe Grill! They are the best so far for me when it comes to persian food. I've been to a lot of persian restaurants and nothing compares to them. First of all the food is very very delicious. Fresh and very tasty. I'll begin with their garden salad and omg the freshest i've seen in my life! Their chicken and beef dishes are too die for. Nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. Their salmon and mahi mahi are the same. Kudos to the chef and owner! Their portion is also big but eventhough, we still managed to finish our meal. Staff are very very nice ! Exceptional customer service especially from the guy who got our order (sorry i forgot the name). The place is very clean and very cozzy, so relaxing ambiance. Background Music is excellent! Very relaxing too. Pricewise is ok. With the portion and the taste of food you'll be getting, it's well worth it! We will definitely come back to this place and try their other menu. Great little Persian kabob spot replacing a previous boiling crab venue we had tried just once. On a chilly Northridge night the family was craving some beef koobideh and fluffy basmati rice. We were reluctantly planning to drive to Ventura Boulevard when we stumbled on this spot just a block away from the house. We gave it a shot. While the decor is more casual, the location, atmosphere and quick service were perfect for a quick family meal out. We ordered the beef koobideh and chicken soltani. Food was out in a little under 10 minutes. The meat was moist and flavorful, chicken was tender and with just enough spice. The rice was light and fluffy and not too much rice as some places do. The grilled jalapeño was different from the peppers I'm used to but not in a bad way, but a little goes a long way. Will definitely be coming back as we love kabob and don't usually like doing take out when eating Persian or Middle Eastern food. read more

This is an awesome place to get your kebabs. The people who work here are so awesome and nice. My dad frequents this place a lot. One time, he forgot his wallet. The chef or owner told him "no problem. Take the food and bring the money next time." That is how you do business! (My dad went back the next day, of course :) They have a variety of kebabs.. chicken, beef, even seafood. It comes with fluffy basmati rice, charbroiled veggies. You can ask for half salad and half rice for extra. you can also upgrade your rice to barberry or lima bean rice (I think) for extra as well. Their beef kebabs are so moist and flavorful. You can eat that with the rice or wrap it in the lavash they provide. Top it off with some of their yogurt sauce and you're in flavor town. The portions are humongous. I always share a kebab plate with someone. If you have a big appetite, like my dad, you can probably finish one plate by yourself. I've tried some of their appetizers like their salads and hummus and other dips. Everything is fantastic! Nothing tastes bad here. There's plenty of parking spots. The only thing is when they brought it they didn't bring us any dishes to put our portion on. Rest of the food arrived. The beef barg and kobideh was what I had ordered. The kobideh was not bad, it tasted like a combination of ground beefs. However, the barg was not. Fatty and did not taste good. Left half in a napkin . We also had ordered chicken and it was salty. The hot tea was with tea bags in a cup. A Persian restaurant serving you tea with tea bags! The restaurant decorations are nice looking and the people seem very nice, I do give them a plus for having a choice of sangak with the kabobs. However, The food we had was not very good to justify the $71.00 we paid for the two dishes, one appetizer and a hot tea. read more

I definitely wouldn't recommend this place if your looking for authentic Persian food. Because it's really not close. It looked like a really nice place in a large shopping center with lots of parking. They have a nice patio outside in the front. On a nice warm day it would be great. So for me I know how Persian food should taste because I am Persian. I ordered Tah dig which is the burnt rice and it always comes with a stew on top of it. Of course this place had to charge me $15 for the stew and then another $4 for the Tah dig. What a joke. I got the chicken kabob that was bleeding out saffron juice cause they had put so much. I got zereshk polo which tasted horrid. Like the zeresh wasn't even cooked. My chicken was juicy but so greasy. Like my whole plate was yellow and greasy. The rice was bad. And there prices are too much. The server was really nice and that's why I gave 2 stars. If not this would have been a 1 star rating. I wouldn't recommend if your looking for good Persian food.
