Excellent quality. Great prices. Think local Cava!! Highly recommend -- both the lamb and chicken are excellent.

I'd say their location is a bit tough since it's in the back corner of a shopping center away from the street, so it's not getting a view as you drive by. We hadn't seen many (any?) Mediterranean restaurants in the area and wanted to give it a go. We went very classic: I had the chicken shawarma and my wife had the gyro. Both came with fries and some pickled veggie on the side. We dined in and orders came out quickly. Flatbread was pretty well filled with chicken, lettuce, tomato, and onion, plus some kind of sauce. Same for the gyro except it had 3 long, flat pieces of gyro meat. Fries were fresh, hot, and crisp. The garlic sauce on the side was quite good... Not something I'd usually go for, but I used it and my wife used all of hers plus what I had left. The location was quiet, prices weren't bad. There's not an extensive menu, so I'd be interested in trying some more of the Mediterranean options. I saw they also have burgers, steak & cheese, etc., but that didn't appeal to me. I wouldn't say it's a go-out-of-the-way place, but considering I haven't seen anything comparable, I'd go back if I was craving some Mediterranean food.

Others in our group got shawarma sandwiches and spinach pies, and everyone was raving about their food. We wrapped up with a baklava sampler for dessert, which was the perfect ending. The food alone would've made the night, but our waiter really took it to another level. He was warm, personable, and clearly remembered my grandparents from past visits. He greeted them like old friends and was genuinely helpful throughout the meal, steering us toward dishes we'd love based on what we were in the mood for. That kind of attentive, personal service is hard to come by. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great Mediterranean/Middle Eastern meal with excellent service to match. The restaurant is very nice inside and also sells a variety of olive oils and other specialty items. We actually used some of their olive oil packages as prizes for the games during the shower, which worked out perfectly. Elias and Zachery were wonderful from before the event began while we were setting up, throughout the entire shower, and even afterward while we were cleaning up. They obviously knew how to handle an event like this and seemed to know exactly what needed to happen as our guests began arriving and the shower progressed. We had two long tables set up for our group, one seating 14 and the other 12 people. I thought the tables and place settings looked wonderful, and they allowed us to add our own table runners, pumpkin-themed centerpieces, and decorations along both sides of the room. When it was time to eat, the food was set out buffet-style along the bar near the back. The menu was Mediterranean based and included spanakopita, cheese pies (not pizzas), artisan sandwiches, meatballs, stuffed grape leaves, and other items. Everything was absolutely delicious, and there was certainly no shortage of food. We had enough for everyone at the shower, enough left for dinner for eight of us afterward, and still had leftovers for two families to take home. The staff did a great job throughout the event without making us feel rushed, and the entire experience was comfortable and relaxing. Considering the beautiful venue, excellent service, quality and amount of food, and how smoothly everything went, I thought the price was an excellent value. Overall, Taste of Old Country helped make our daughter's baby shower a wonderful event and one we will remember for a long time. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a place in the Manassas area for a shower, family gathering, or other special event. Definitely a five-star experience. Enjoy!

It was moderately busy and there seemed to be a single waiter which was not a problem as the space is small. He was very polite and attentive explaining the menu and what items may take longer in case we were in a hurry. The food was fantastic. We didn't have anything that we wouldn't order again or didn't enjoy. The Margarita pizza was the highlight for us but the mini spanakopitas were a close second. Portions are a healthy size too. We loved it here and can't wait to come back.

Whats more sad is that I paid $15 for something that isn't at all as advertised. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Greek Salad as I love grilled meat. Never have I had souvlaki in over a dozen voyages to Greece that was wet boiled or microwaved, as this chicken seemed to be. Souvlaki are grilled skewers. This place should NOT sell the pile of bland, blond, wet chicken breast as "souvlaki." The "Greek" salad was sad. No other way to describe it. It had the ingredients of a Greek salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber) but the feta was meager and there were no onions. The tzatziki was more akin to ranch dressing (not made with yogurt- real Greek yogurt would hold a spoon standing in it. This was almost liquid.) ) and the pita was a doughy, cheap substitute. Their listing says fresh bread, and this pita was not so much. The owner seems nice and personable, and I wish him well but I also wish he would pay more attention to the product he delivers, especially if they call it, Greek. UPDATE from owners rebuttal: I write fair reviews as I experience the food. The issue is not whether you have fresh ingredients or quality chicken: it is clearly stated what you served was just not souvlaki in anyway, it was wet sautéed chicken and that was not traditional tzatziki. It was tzatziki-like sauce. Period. If you go to a pizza place to buy a pizza and you get high quality toasted bread with excellent tomato sauce and good mozzarella- it's still not a pizza, no matter the quality, and you shouldn't call it a pizza. I don't deny you are Greek, proud or otherwise, just serve what you advertise. Good luck to you too!
