We came to this restaurant for one goal & one goal only... to have Kaleh Pacheh. Kaleh Pacheh is a traditional Persian dish consisting of sheep's head, tongue, brain, eyes & trotters that is served as a breakfast soup!!! Ummm!! Yes you read that right. Certainly an acquired taste and most certainly not for everyone. I'm a firm believer of don't knock it till you try it. And I went 38 years without trying it. But it was finally time. Quite the site watching my beloved so happy having this dish after almost 6 years. I swear she would order another one if she had room for more. I must say, I didn't dislike it! lol Thank you Kabob Bazaar for a hell of a throwback.

Kabob Bazaar has been in business for years and years and a casual and delicious meal in this friendly environment is the reason why.  The menu offers a large variety of kabobs as well as stews and other dishes.  We opted for a bit of both and were not disappointed.  We started with the pita and hummus which was a very generous portion.  Then we all passed around the barg kabob, shish kabob, fessenjoon and the dizzi sangi.  Everything was well cooked and flavorful.  We had never had fessenjoon before and it was fun to see it prepared tableside.  The staff was very helpful and kept our tea glasses well filled with a wonderfully fragrant spiced tea.  It was great to see all the families enjoying a meal together as much as we did during our time there.  We finished our meal with the baklava which was beautifully presented.  I tend to like my baklava with a little more honey but it was light and flaky and a great way to end our lunch.

This was my main squeeze for many, many years. But sadly, I recently moved away from the DC area. But every time I go back, kabob bazaar is always waiting for me. I love this place. I can't believe I've never left a review for it. My go-to is always the salmon kabob and Kaleh pache (lamb head stew) on Sundays. I can't wait to come back and eat here again! I miss my Persian food

This place still holds up. Started going to Kabob Bazaar back in 2010 with my coworkers. Went back last night and the food taste and quality remain top tier. The same staff are there and keeping the business going. The most recent renovations make the place look brighter. I'll keep going back!

I always walk by this place and want to try it but didn't get around to it until a few weeks ago. Placed a pickup order and it was ready a couple minutes before they said it would so pickup was very fast. The employees at the door and the bar were both very friendly. We ordered the kubideh kabob, jujeh kabob, kashk-e-bademjan, and a side of shireen polo and plain basmati. The chicken was surprising juicy (I don't love chicken breast) but the kubideh was just a tad dry. Both had very very good flavor though and I would get both again. The kashk-e-bademjan (eggplant dip) was incredible and I will probably get this every time we go here it was that good. The shireen polo was a tad sweet for me but still really good. We want to try the other 2 specialty rices as well, but the plain basmati is hard to beat. It looks like it still has saffron and some kind of butter or oil on it, it was anything but plain, so good. Last thing is the portion sizes. 2 meals and 2 sides was enough for probably 3.5 meals for us so the portions were definitely generous Will absolutely be back to try more of the food!

Food is good. It meat could be more tender. Atmosphere is nice. Service is excellent.

We have been a regular at Kabob Bazaar for well over a decade and they never fail to disappoint. Today they catered a luncheon for 30 and it was amazing. We went with the chicken kabob (their best protein option, inho) Shireen Polo (Basmati Rice with orange peel, saffron, almonds and pistachios), a tray of grape leaves, salad, fresh herbs and their delicious homemade bread with spicy yogurt dipping sauce. The food was perfectly prepared and ready for my pickup. They even loaned me some special insulated bags to transport it and keep it warm. They are friendly and accommodating. So many of our guests wanted to know where the food came from that I ended up printing out their contact info and passing it out!

Nothing can be better than having a healthy Persian food in the heart of happening area in Arlington. Mr Abbas always welcome us with a lot of excitement and smile. Their food from the kababs to the stews are delicious and fresh. Mohammad and Behrooz are always present to make sure the quality of the food stay consistent. Their weekend specials are what we always go for with friends and family. The neck of lam with the rice is my favorite that they just added to the menu. I can tell this is the only place in the DMV area that has Dizi sangi and kalepache.

Kabob Bazaar serves Persian cuisine and the staff was so friendly! We started off with a bread basket with yogurt sauce. Most of the entrees are kabob based and the platter comes with a bed of rice, two pieces of roasted tomatoes. We were recommended corn hen for chicken, Barg for beef, and Shishleek for lamb kabobs. There are many options for combination platters too if you want to try different meats. We got the lamb soltani, which came with a skewer of kubideh (beef) and one lamb. Dizzi Sangi was on the specials menu and I really liked it! It's a lamb stew that came in a crock pot and you wrap it in bread with raw onions and pickled vegetables. We came on a Saturday evening and we're seated right away. We enjoyed the meal and would love to come back again and try other items on their specials menu!

The young man very attentive and friendly. Ushered our dirty tables and brought us our drinks. I had minty lemonade which I recommend if your gonna eat a lot. Here's my gripe. Its very important to label food. None of the food trays or stations were labeled. I have several food allergies and I had no idea what was what. I had to ask what was this or that. One tray had rice and I saw something that had deep fried crispy something. I thought it was chicken... it was fish :( The hummus was good though. The baklava meh. The pita bread was good. Some rice tray had kabob type of meat but it was lukewarm. For the price I paid, its not worth it. Please label your trays. I ended up ordering the King's Koshary (naturally), fetter with cheese and honey, golash with beef, hawashi, shrimpita with jalapenos, and the basbousa for dessert. Overall I was really pleased with everything. The koshary was definitely my favorite. Carb-heavy but delicious. I was a little bit concerned that it might not be filling because there was no meat, but I was so wrong. It was delightfully feeling and delicious. Especially with the red sauce on top. Amazing! The fetter was okay but I expected more cheese. It was also a little greasy. Not my favorite. The golash was nice and hearty. Generous portion of flavorful beef filling in between crispy, flaky layers of dough. Delicious. I wanted to like the hawashi more than I did. I think I probably would have if there was a little bit more filling. The little bit of filling it had was really good. Seasoned well with lots of flavor. But overall I found the sandwich to be pretty dry. I ended up dipping it in some of the red sauce that came with my koshary to make it a little bit easier to eat. The shrimpita was an easy win. If you like quesadillas you'll like this. It was essentially a flatbread, cheese on top, then shrimp and jalapenos. The basbousa was interesting. It had the texture of grits, but sweetened. I'm Glad I tried it, but it was not really my thing. I wouldn't get that again. All the food that I ordered lasted me at least 3 to 4 days. The portions were generous, the staff member who greeted me and handed me my food was friendly and gracious and welcoming. Overall it was a really wonderful experience. If I'm ever in the area I would definitely visit again

This was my first experience at a Yemeni restaurant, and it turned out to be an incredibly pleasant and flavorful introduction. We were served half a lamb, head included, laid beautifully on a large platter of rice. But first, the restaurant itself. It was refreshing to see a place that uses real cutlery, proper plates, and actual tablecloths. I much prefer tables and chairs over booths, which often give off a fast-food chain vibe. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, though there was some drilling and repair work going on--likely related to safety or exit signage--so that's understandable. Now to the food. The rice was fluffy and deeply infused with flavor from the lamb, clearly absorbing the richness of the long, slow cooking process. The broth had rippled into the rice, creating an incredible depth of taste. If you've had biryani, this was somewhat similar, but with its own distinct character. The lamb itself was exceptionally tender--falling off the bone and melting in the mouth. For anyone who usually avoids lamb due to its strong aroma, this dish is a must-try; there was no overpowering "lamb smell" at all. The meal was accompanied by a fresh salad and two side sauces--one tomato-based and another green sauce that was extremely spicy, so proceed with caution. The mint lemonade deserves a special mention: easily the best I've had. Not overly sweet, clearly made from fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced. We ended the meal with tea and a warm dessert that was buttery, comforting, and topped with cream--an excellent finale. This was a completely new culinary experience for me, and I left the restaurant feeling like my palate had leveled up. Highly recommended--definitely a place worth checking out
