Lovely place with a great menu and excellent service. We shared the chorizo scramble, which was delicious and it came with delectable red potatoes and a choice of bread. We had a biscuit and it was obviously the optimal choice. It was served with whipped butter, a fresh blueberry jam and a fresh raspberry jam. Really tasty biscuit! The coffee was good and Lorena did a great job of keeping the cup full. We sat outside and found it was a great idea; comfortable, clean and because it's set back from Mill Plain quite a bit, it was surprisingly serene. Excellent late lunch here--perfect service, wonderfully updated interior from the last restaurant in this location (RiP, beloved Woody's Tacos). But if Woody's had to move on, what a splendid replacement. I had fish tacos and a fresh salad with a house Serrano vinaigrette. Damn! So good! The taco was crispy, layered with flavor and absolutely sang with the house made hot salsa. What a delightful find for me...and for the Yelp-verse. It's rare for me to order juice, but the wait staff was so charming and descriptive, I couldn't say no. Turns out, it was a wise move. The carrot/beet/orange/pineapple juice was light and peppy on a hot summer day. I'll be back for more and likely conclude it's a five star situation. This little breakfast restaurant was absolutely adorable. It's tucked away but totally worth it. We were immediately greeted with amazing customer service as soon as we walked it. We were assisted in a timely manner and everyone was friendly. I watched them treat their regulars with quick service, kindness, and respect. The servers were opening doors for their customers too. Pretty good spot for a quick breakfast. The only thing be careful if you are with kids and ordering hot cocoa. It was way too hot for a child. But I definitely recommend their French toasts so delicious. Our server was also super helpful and nice. read more

Wow, the menu looked good, but the taste was amazing! To drink we had a Mexican hot chocolate and iced vanilla coffee.... both were yummy. To eat had the chicken fried steak and blueberry French toast. Omg, the French toast was heavenly with a fresh blueberry compote topping. The maple syrup was good too and ended up being great for the biscuit that came with the steak. The steak gravy wasn't too heavy and it came with crispy, tasty hash browns. First time at Javi's. I ordered a turkey and bacon sourdough sandwich to go, it came with tator tots and a pickle spear. Major points for the pickle spear, I love when meals are served with one. It would be nice to be able to order a sandwich without the sides. This lunch was $18.00. The only thing wrong with it was one of my slices of bacon was not cooked long enough and very fatty. I removed it. And I got the heel for one of my slices of bread. So it was much smaller than the other and didn't hold the inner parts of the sandwich together very well. This is a brand new restaurant (it's been open 3 days) so we decided to give it a try. We are very glad we did! We were greeted by a friendly hostess. I ordered the Chilaquiles Verde and my husband ordered the Mt. Hood Benedict. Both were delicious! My chilaquiles were covered in delicious green sauce with a nice amount of heat. I ordered the eggs poached and extra hot sauce. I didn't really need the hot sauce because the chilaquiles were perfectly seasoned and well spiced. My husband reported that his Benedict had a perfect balance of veggies to egg and muffin and his potatoes were well cooked and had creamy centers. He also thought the hollandaise was tasty. About half way through our visit the chef came over and checked in. He told us everything is house made and appreciated our compliments. At the end of our meal our attentive server came over and said they were sending out a complimentary churro waffle. It was topped with cinnamon sugar and a drizzle of chocolate sauce. The waffle itself was thick and creamy on the inside. Delicious! We decided we'd have to order them when we come again. This place isn't fancy but it has beautiful new blue paint and a fresh look. The food came out quickly and was very warm. Great flavors on all the items, including my bacon which I prefer well done. Saw other items going out that looked good, so we will definitely return. What a great breakfast find!! Our granddaughter ordered the churro waffles- delicious. Tasted just like a fresh hot churro in mini waffle form with a generous dollop of whipped cream! The chilaquiles verde with chicken breast slices was the best! Tortilla slices were crispy but still had absorbed some of the delicious salsa verde. Topped off with 2 eggs over easy... Breakfast/brunch heaven! The salsa verde was perfectly spicy& not overly tangy! Portions are generous & can be shared very easily. The staff are courteous , friendly & wonderfully attentive. I would highly recommend Javi's for a very quality meal. I have eaten lunch twice and breakfast once and we had very good meals. Great bacon! The sandwiches are delicious and plentiful, enough to share. The clam chowder is the best! We asked and it is all homemade with fresh ingredients. You can tell it is not from frozen like some restaurants. We also had very good service all three times. The servers could not do enough for us! Very friendly and attentive. We found the restaurant very clean. You can tell they take great pride in their food and service. Also it is nice to have good parking! Again, we truly appreciate the quality of the food. I have been wanting to try this place for awhile, every time I leave the gym I see people eating outside and it always seems to be busy. I now know why! Even in a very busy Sunday at 11am we were able to be seated quickly, with our server taking our drink order within 5 minutes of sitting. Our food order was placed within 10/15 minutes of arriving and we were eating in less than 30 minutes. Also, just because the food came fast did not mean it was lackluster! The food was AMAZING. My wife and I arrived at around 9am on a Friday and were greeted and seated quickly. The restaurant was bright, clean and nicely decorated. I ordered two pancakes and a side of red potatoes. My pancakes we luke warm and very heavy and dense but tasted good. My red potatoes were very good and seasoned perfectly. My wife ordered the Seattle Scramble with extra crispy hash browns, both of which were good. Overall the service was very good.
