Yes, this restaurant just opened its doors this month across the street from my husband's work. The prices are very reasonable and they know what they are doing because all the ingredients tasted fresh. I know this because my family stopped going out to eat lately and started making all Mediterranean food from fresh ingredients. When we as a consumer go out to eat, we do not want the product to have been made hours ago our maybe even days. We expect more out of the business and hope that everything is fresh and made to perfection. We want to know that we have chosen something we can later talk about and say how great the meal was or not. I hope my photos have been helpful because I really hope you as the consumer, will give this place a try. MY NEW FAVORITE GYRO SHOP...!!! We were heading to the casino, but didn't want casino food. As we drove my wife saw Kebob Grill, so we stopped in. This is a really lovely place, and you can tell the owners take pride in their restaurant. It's the only gyro shop I know that has granite counters and wood floors. The food is simply outstanding, delicious, very flavorful, even creative. I had the lamb shawarma - stewed lamb in the grilled burrito wrap. Delicious and incredibly flavorful. Wonderful. She had a chicken gyro and feta fries - also delicious. You get to pick from tons of toppings and several sauces. Really nice people. Delicious food. Great prices, and they offer you hot tea that it is simply delicious... My new favorite gyro shop. Worth a trip to the West Side. read more

Fresh Ingredients and made to order is an understatement at Kabob Gill. I want to try something new, but the Chicken Gyros are so freaking tasty each time, that my mouth waters and I get it again. Best part is I get to load it with whatever Fresh Mediterranean toppings I want. There is a small wait while they cook my chicken (don't mind as I'm not a fan of raw chicken.) plus this give time for my fries to cook, grab a table and check-in on Yelp. With Fresh made to order food, just wait, it's worth it. The Décor inside is most setup for Fast Casual lunch dining. It's always clean, and has the smell of cooking food. The staff is always friendly and helpful; don't know what it is; just ask. It's in a Shopping Plaza off Broad St, near the Casino. Stop here have lunch or Dinner and don't gamble on the Casino food. This place has my favorite hummus in Columbus. Super creamy...Super flavorful! The restaurant itself is cute and very clean. I've only ordered takeout but the vibe in here is nice. Everyone is super friendly and helpful....I usually have lots of questions and they've always been very patient with me. The food is so good. Besides the awesome hummus, the gyro is outstanding. Holy guacamole, that gyro meat was quite possibly the best I've ever had. But, more on that in a few! I have family out I the west side of central Ohio, so, when we decided to go to dinner, trusty Yelp app had this joint bookmarked. PS, While we waited on our food, several people came and picked up to-go orders. A good, steady flow of business. Clean, spacious fast-casual Greek/Mediterranean restaurant. Come in, order and pay at the counter, take your number and wait for it to be called. Fast, friendly service at the counter. I chose the Gyro Platter: Gyro meat and pita bread, small side salad, small cup of soup, hummus, tadziki dipping sauce. I asked the gentleman, in his opinion, which soup I should pick - their spinach soup or lentil soup. He suggested the spinach, so that was that. Reminiscent of tomato soup. But still had big globs of spinach and onion. Very good flavor. The entire, and I seriously mean entire, rest of the offers where delicious! Pita bread was warm and fresh. The hummus was just the right subtle amount of garlic mixed in. The splash of dressing (hints of lemon?) I the small salad, which was covered with ripe chunks of tomato, clean sed the pallet. I could have licked the tadziki sauce of my fingers, it was that scrumptious, not overbearing. The meat was just another giant gumdrop on the buttercream iced cake. Juicy. Oh, and did I mention succulent. I hardly had to chew to break down the protein, that's how moist and tender it was. That platter was so filling, I took half of it home. Oh, almost forgot! Since I'm a sucker for tiramisu desserts, I couldn't resist, when I saw it on KG's menu. Excellent decision!! Light, creamy hints of espresso, not overladen with rum. I have wanted to try this place as it is not too far from home and I was told they have fresh-cut fries. I will be back because I liked my meal, but there were pros and cons from last night's visit: The good: My falafel gyro with fries was very good. It was a fresh pita with tasty falafel. They let me choose the toppings from the assortment behind the glass. The fries were really good. Clean dining area, and the employees were eager to assist. According to the menu, they deliver, and they have a pick-up window. These are nice conveniences. The bad: I am not a ketchup fan, but instead like to dip my fries in the white sauce served at Greek restaurants. Some places have really good sauce, and some do not. The sauce here was too garlicky for my taste. There are no kid's menu items except a full plate of chicken fingers and fries. Blah. I don't understand the Italian Specialties, Pasta and Wings/Fingers offerings. If you are Greek, be Greek. Oh, and I'm pretty sure I heard an employee mispronounce the word gyro. read more

This place is okay if you're in the area and need Middle Eastern food - not that special. Liked the lamb shank platter, and their lamb shawarma sandwich is pretty good, but the lamb gyro was disappointing, and the philly steak sub (or the version of it) is a mess. Great fries though. And I have no idea why they have a board outside advertising $3.99 gyro sandwich, when they're charging the regular $7 for it. Good seating and parking easy to find, on the bright side. read more

I have the gyro philly sub, it's good could use more seasoning. It's pretty loaded for 6.99 I made it a combo with onion rings and strawberry juice. I love the juice. My daughter got the gyro platter for 10.99 and I love the favorites on the platter next time I will try that. My son have the bbq chicken wings that taste like the wings at Pizza Hut to me. Mark this as more of a 3.5 rating. It was A-OK plus some. Not the best, and most definitely not the worst. Having exhausted most options on the west side, we wanted something new and different, so we stopped here. I saw a lot of carryout orders leaving and dine in patrons that appeared native to the food selection, which ranges from Turkish, Greek/Mediterranean and even some Italian thrown in there. The popular item going was the Shawarma (Essentially a Mediterranean cuisine equivalent of a grilled burrito), so I opted for that, and the husband went the way of the traditional Gyro. He paired with the onion rings, I stuck with the typical side of fries. What we ordered was pretty good, the only exception being that my chicken was a bit towards the dry side, so next time I may order it with the lamb instead. We couldn't even finish what we ordered. It's a good chunk of food, so I'd say it's worth the price. The service was pretty good. We were taken care of by an older lady, with a couple younger guys in the back doing the cooking. Everything here is cooked to order, which is nice. It's not the terrifying Chipotle experience of.. 'how long has that meat been sitting there.... Honestly, this place overall is great it also has a great Aesthetic within the store. I enjoyed the wings at this location which it's a must-try with the sauces being their special sauce. Also if you like subs their Philly cheese was great and was quite large too and their fries are amazing too. But the only negative thing I would say is if only their wings were a little larger it would've been a plus. But altogether I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something new. Some of the best Greek food that I have had, hands down. I have the pleasure of being able to try many different spots around the city, but I always find myself coming back here. Some complain about the small wait. I don't see the problem with it knowing that the food is being prepared fresh. There are always the freshest veggies to choose to put on your gyro. This restaurant is exactly what we need on this side of town! Fresh, affordable, DELICIOUS food! I had the vegetarian platter, and my husband had the lamb gyro. We purposely did this because the platter looked almost big enough to share, and it was a great amount of food for the price. Mine came with falafel, rice, salad, grape leaves,hummus, pita slices, and a small cup of soup, all for about $10. I really enjoyed my meal. I would have liked to have tzatziki sauce on the side for my falafel, but I'm sure I could have just asked for some. I had a bite of the lamb gyro, and the meat was well seasoned. Their hummus is quite tasty, and I'm pretty sure I could have had a meal of nothing but pita and hummus and been satisfied. This place is nice and clean inside, and the prep area looked recently cleaned and re-stocked. All of the ingredients looked bright and fresh. I wasn't entirely sure if I was supposed to tip or not, as it was a quick service restaurant. The staff seemed very friendly, and I would not have hesitated to ask them more questions. We checked this place out on a Sunday, and it's kind of on the far side of W. Broad near 270, so it's a bit of a hike if you live close to downtown or the East side. It's also kind of a pain to get into, since the only entrance I saw to get in is from the back side, so you have to go up the side streets. The guys working the place were very friendly, however, and it didn't take long to get our food, since the place was empty. I went with a gyro and fries, and it's another one of your fast casual places where you get to choose what ingredients you want on it as you go down the line. They have quite a few sauces to choose from, so I went with the hot sauce and the garlic sauce that comes with it. I wasn't a huge fan of the gryo meat. It just didn't have a great flavor to me, so maybe I caught them on an off day based on other reviews. I've had better beef and lamb into at a number of other places. The hot sauce wasn't super hot, but it tasted good, and I'm not sure if there wasn't enough of the garlic sauce, or if it wasn't too strong, but I hardly tasted much of it. The fries were seasoned well, and I really liked those. If I lived or worked on this side of town, I'd give these guys more chances, but since it was a bit out of the way, I'm not sure I'll be back again. Had a delicious lunch here on Friday, after I'd been to a training in the area. Kabob Grill is just north of Hollywood Casino, along the Broad Street side. I thought it would be in one of the former fast-food places (oops, sorry for those who I cut off), but it's in a new build of little shops. This place is immaculately clean and there were 4-5 young guys working when I was there. Plenty of tables & a little patio area out front. The staff were polite and friendly. Kabob Grill is billed as an Italian-Greek place, and that does fit the bill - mostly Greek/Mediterranean influences. This means a large menu and lots of signage. Take your time and ask questions, you'll be glad you did. I ordered a gyro platter with rice in place of the fries. TON of food: around 8oz of chopped gyro meat, rice, Greek-style salad, pita, hummus, tzatziki sauce, garlic sauce that will nip your tastebuds and a container of a tomato-based sauce, like a soup. I put the sauce/soup on my rice with the garlic sauce & went to town. Every bit of it was good, and I ended up taking half of it home for the spouse. Definitely will keep this place on my list of go-to lunch spots when I'm out on the far west side. read more

Look, I am learning to love my new westside neighborhood, but the Hilltop doesn't have all that many restaurant choices. This place would be great in the middle of Clintonville (I think it is better than Lavash), but it is awesome sauce and unexpected here. The space is very clean and nice. This isn't a sit down place, you order at the counter- which can be a bit of a drawback because everything is made when you order. It can take a lot of time and the employees aren't very clear about what you are supposed to do or where you are supposed to wait. That being said, the food is amazingly fresh and delicious. It is super cheap. $10.00 gets you an amazing platter of food that is hard to finish. Go! Please! I want it to stay. read more

I want to like this place, I really do, but all I can muster up is an "it's okay."; plus side- it's nice inside and the menus are well displayed. Last week was my First visit I got a gyro with a side of hummus. I think they forgot my order, the whole place emptied out before they got to me. A man who I believe may have been the owner cued them in to this then I got my to-go order. The gyro was good, no complaints there. The hummus was small and tasted a bit, off? Usually hummus has a very smooth taste, this was tasted slightly chemical like. Maybe vinegar or something I don't know. But for once in my life I didn't finish hummus. Today I went back and got a large falafel salad. No pita or anything on the side (although the photos they have make it look like there is). The falafel is great. But the rest of the salad- not so much. If salads came in cans this is how I'd imagine they taste. The lettuce is crisp but it just tastes so incredibly boring and the dressing isint really dressing it's just straight up vinegar water. I like vinegar more than most people so it's peculiar I feel this way. I think I'm going to go to the gas station and get some popcorn on my way back to work rather than finish this salad. Summary: okay for a gyro; but I wouldn't recommend it to a friend and I'm unsure if I'll return. read more

I really enjoy coming to the Kabob Grill for both the delicious food and welcoming staff. The hummus is absolutely amazing-super rich of flavor and extra creamy. (It's a must-have with every order.) I've been to the Kabob Girll for multiple visits, trying the salad (I personalized it), the chicken kabob platter and the Napolina. All were tasty and filling. I always like trying something new with every visit, so today I decided to try the eggplant rolls. DELISH! I especially liked the red "marinara" that came with the rolls. It's an oil-based marinara that had a very unique Mediterranean flair. It was the perfect pair with the eggplant rolls. Another plus about the Kabob Grill is the cleanliness of the restaurant-makes eating dining-in a pleasure! Like I had previously mentioned, the staff is incredibly friendly and always seems to welcome me with a smile even with a long line of folks waiting to order around lunch. I've been here twice, now. The first time I ordered my meal to go, but this time I thought it would be good to eat in with my husband. The way this place is set up, is like a fast food place, you come to the cashier, order your food, then they bring it out to you. The fountain drinks are behind the counter, so staff need to refill your drinks if you want more. I enjoyed the pepperoni stromboli the first time, so I re-ordered it. My husband ordered the lamb kabobs. About ten minutes into our wait, one of the staff comes over to our table and asks us if we had ordered it to go. We told him that we had ordered it for here. A while later, he brings our food out to us in to go containers. At that point, we decided to leave. My recommendations for this place: -Make dining in more friendly and less awkward. Don't ask for a tip ahead of time, and pay attention to what your clients tell you. It is not customary for clients to tip before they are served. Having your dine in clients pay at the beginning makes it awkward for them to tip, especially if they don't have cash. -Put the pop machine where customers can serve themselves if you are going for a less formal dining experience, similar to Fazolis or W.G. Grinders. If you want the full service for dine in customers, then give them the service they would expect from such an experience: waitress/waiter, order at the table, eat, pay. -Include a bigger cup of sauce for the stromboli; there's just not enough sauce provided, and the cup is so small, it's difficult to dip the stromboli in. -Give the customers bigger napkins, not cocktail napkins. read more

I would have considered an additional star but the service is very hit or miss. The wait time for food can be considerable depending on how many others are on food.
