Among the mountain of kabob shops in metro Detroit, this is my pick for best . In-house baked bread served with flavorful garlic sauce accompanies every meal. In most kabob restaurants it's easy to spot the tawook (chunks of chicken in my picture) were par-cooked then heated for service but here the freshness is unquestionable. The profinsal sauce might be my favorite thing in any restaurant, it combines lemon and multiple herbs to add zest to the meall. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, I'd give it six stars if I could. read more

We love the food here - everything is so flavorful that we can't help but eat until we are ready to burst. The portions are out of control huge - We order one dinner and a medium salad with (the best) chicken and it is plenty for our family of 4 - and we still have leftovers! Kabob House on Van Dyke, south of 12 mile in Warren has the best middle eastern outside of Hamtramck, and Dearborn Michigan, which are two cities with the most middle eastern citizens in the U.S. The food here is fabulous, and very affordable. It located near the GM Tech Center, and is always busy during lunch, and dinner service, which shows how great there food and service is. I'ed recommend stopping there if your in the area. For anyone to give this place less then 4 or 5 stars is just being a yelp snob. read more

They give you a ton of garlic dip to eat and fresh hot bread. The service can be pretty slow, and they sometimes forget about you so you have to flag them down. Walked in around 11:45 yesterday morning and the place was packed. A good sign. From the outside, this place looks small, but it is very spacious inside and clean, too. On each table is a basket of fresh pita bread (not baked in house, though) with garlic sauce and a pitcher of ice water - a nice touch. Service is fast and friendly. The food is very good. Lunch specials are the way to go at Kabob House. For $7.99 I ordered the Hummus & meat special - a plate of hummus covered in lamb shawarma with rice & soup or salad. The Salad was supremely fresh with a lemony olive oil dressing that didn't weigh the veggies down at all. Hummus was creamy and flavorful, although there wasn't enough of a garlic punch for me, so I added some of the garlic sauce. I'm picky about my shawarma - if it's meat, it had better be lamb not beef. This is the real deal. Very well seasoned - sweet, mildly spicy and very tasty - a scrumptious version of shawarma. The rice was fine. Good texture, but not enough almonds on top - I like the crunch from the almonds. I'll definitely be going back to Kabob House. I go here quite often. It's the best Middle Eastern food that I have found in Warren. I love the chicken schwarma sandwich the best and I always order that. The fatoush salad is really, really good. Service is fast or not so fast depending on the time of day, but the servers are always friendly. The bread is better at Oasis at 12 Mile and Mound. The garlic sauce is much, much better than Ollie's at 14 Mile and Van Dyke. Parking lot.... oh well, wish it wasn't right there next to the dumpster. You can enter off eastbound 12 Mile rd by turning into the driveway at the gas station or you can enter off Van Dyke one block south of 12 Mile Rd. The food here will not disappoint you. read more

Every time I order carry out from here the order is missing something. I order sandwiches with the garlic sauce on the side and get home and there's never any sauce or they forget dressing with the salad. the food is great, but making a 2nd trip back for missing items is annoying or not getting it at all because theyre closed is even worse. check your orders before you leave! food is great once you have everything you paid for. read more

The food is delicious and it kills me to write this review; this is the second instance that I have found hair in a meal at this restaurant. Unfortunately it is not isolated to a certain dish. The first incident was in a kafta lunch, which I said nothing about because I always give the benefit of the doubt and thought "maybe this came off me?" (Even though the hair color did not match mine...)...but this happened again. Today, a long, curly, black, "non cranial" hair, in my fatoosh salad...and I have a shaved head and blonde hair. I feel very conflicted about writing this review...used to love Kabob House and would at least once per if not multiple times. The last couple of pick up orders, the girl at the front was not wearing a mask (one beneath her chin) and it doesn't seem like any staff are wearing it properly. Beyond that--when trying to call to place an order, they picked up the phone (audibly laughing) and hung up after about 6 seconds of having the phone connected. I'll say it is sad to see this one out of the books, but due to lack of safety protocol and other wall unprofessionalism (which they always kind of lacked) I won't be returning and won't recommend to anyone going forward. My dad took me to lunch here as he works at the Tech Center; I would never have chosen to eat here or even stop anywhere near this area otherwise. Classism aside, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The service was seat yourself, bread and water on the table variety but efficient and super-friendly. I loved the hand painted murals that covered the walls and ceiling. The food was great as well. Their complimentary garlic sauce-on the table with the bread as soon as you sit down-is not the least bit oily and pure white. I've never had it prepared that way before. The other items are pretty standard. I had majadra wrap, the other members of the party fatoosh, chicken shwarma, lamb, etc... All were up to par if not better. Also of note I saw they had a vegetarian gallaba meal and wrap. I just may stop in on my way home on the nights I don't feel like cooking to sample this- very quickly and with pepper spray in hand. There's a bustop and methadone clinic on that block. I hope this place makes it. I peeked in the kitchen and it was IMMACULATE!!! I came here just last week for a work lunch and wasn't expecting much after seeing the yelp rating, but their lunch specials were a great deal! I got the chicken kabob w/ rice and got full off just half, and they give you warm pita bread + garlic spread that is so good. The lunch specials come with a soup or a salad, I went with the lentil soup but ended up wishing I got the salad! Fairly priced for plenty of food and they accommodated our party of 15ish pretty well. We were able to order and eat within 1-1.5 hours, so it was perfect for a quick lunch break. read more

I liked the fact that the tables were already set and bread on the table, a pitcher of water and of course the garlic sauce (a little more yogurty than garlicky, but good). This has to be the best Mediterranean/Lebanese in the Warren area.. We come here every other week or so (I have a co-worker who seriously gets take 4 days a week)... My favorite has to be the deboned chicken. It's a HUGE portion and only like $10. The chicken has such great flavor... The humus is spot on. The garlic dip makes your breath kissably fresh.. My husband ate here on Saturday around 3pm and we dined in. I was so impressed with the appearance of the place but the food more than made up for it. They brought out bread & garlic which were excellent!!! We ordered the Kabob house platter for 2!!! It came with rice and salad to share. The salad was huge!! The platter came out and it was also huge. We ate the grapes leaves first and they were amazing! We then ate the fried kibbie & falala (sp) & they both were delicious! It was my first time having kibbie and I loved it. The meats were tender and seasoned to perfection. We ate until we were full and had enough food leftover to take home 2 carry out containers. Boy, do we miss all the good restaurants living out here in the sticks! My friend told me about this place & we finally went the other day. All I can say is, WOW! Hands down THE best mediterreanean restaurant I've been to when it comes to taste, price AND amounts of food. Their phone never stopped ringing when we were there on a weekday from 1:30-2:30. My friend got their Chicken Fattosh Shawook salad, which was HUGE w/ a LOT of delicious tender chicken. We split an order of baba ganoosh, which was the BEST we've ever had. And they also have the puffy pita bread, which we absolutely love. I got the dinner chicken cream chop (which is my fave) & I barely touched it after eating the "dinner salad" that came w/ it. LOVE their fatoosh dressing, they give an ample amount of tomatoes & cucumbers (which I pick out to give to my friend) & even put some red onion in too, which we've never had on a fatoosh salad elsewhere. The place is clean, waitresses are attentive. Only thing that someone could look at as a "negative" aspect, is the employees like to talk quite loud, sometimes at a yelling sound level. It wasn't a constant thing, but I thought to mention this in case this is something that wouldn't be acceptable. But, their effieicncy in ordering to table delivery was great. Get past the venue, and you're in for some awesome Lebanese. Food came out quickly. I had a tabouleh salad - fresh, seasoned perfectly, crisp; followed by Hummus & Chicken with rice. Hummus was nice and creamy, the chicken was maybe slightly over-salted but still well seasoned. Rice is rice. It was good, but I was in it for the main course. HUGE portions - I took two seperate to go boxes, and left with a check under $10. My collegues had a mix of other things that I won't even pretend to know the names of ... there was a meat kabob, some ground beef sausage looking things, and several other large salads. The food is alway on point but the service is what's hit or miss. The lentil soup is always creamy and delicious, the shawarma plate is always a favorite from the co workers but the garlic dip is what brings it all together! Since we really liked the food from this place, we got a catering order for 35 people for my husband's birthday. I must say they were very accommodating and the food was just as amazing as getting it in the restaurant. The price was extremely reasonable for the amount of food we got and actually had wayyyyy too much left over.
