Worst Experience!!!!!! Very awful food. I often go to this place. Today, I ordered chicken gallaba that came without seizing. When i asked waitress then they said it is prepared this way. As if was tasting it for first time. Chicken gallaba came with rice and rice was having excessive water and overcooked. For that price that i paid it was shit they served. Even they are not serving hot breads. Last time i went there they served hot bread and today they served me flat bread. Other tables were being served with hot bread. Even if you don't want to pay gratuity they add it in your bill. Waitress told the bill that i have to pay it was more than the price of meal so i asked for receipt than i came to know about additional gratuity. When questioned about that then she said she told me at table but she never told me. I am never going back to that place again. There are lots other places nearby. I have a love hate relationship with this place. The waitstaff is terrible. They will sit in front of you staring at their phones and not wait on you and they never write your order down when they take it which results in them asking what you ordered several times. I ordered the kabob house special. Figured it was supposed to feed two people. Wow was I surprised. It could easily feed six grown men. I am a large hungry male and I couldn't put a dent in this. All of the food was very good. I would definitely recommend an would order from them again. My only complaint was a very late delivery and my special request of utensils was not fulfilled. Food at Kabob House is fantastic. Chicken Tawook, hummus and baba are all amazing. Tabouleh is fresh and the best ever. Salads in general are huge and dressing is great. Seriously, they are one of the best around food wise for the price (90% of the time, they aren't 100% consistent on quality). Portions are great. Price is very reasonable. Lunch gets busy but evenings the dining room is empty-ish. Carry out there is super popular...(for a reason) So why not 5 starts? Ok here's the rub. The service has and continues to be poor there. When my order doesn't get screwed up I'm surprised. To be fair the service lately has been slightly better than it was before. Sometimes it's actually pretty good depending on who you get. But on average that place is a disaster. Billing is a disaster; the servers don't really like each other...dis-zaz-tuh. Also check your carry out order before leaving they mess that up all the time too. Visited for my father's birthday a few weeks ago. I chose this restaurant strictly off of the reviews. 1. Dined in with a party of 8. 2. We were seated in the dining room to the right. Flies were flying everywhere so we moved ourselves to the other side. That was my first red flag. 3. The food arrived very quickly & the servings are HUMONGOUS . The house salad that comes with your entree is enough for 2 people. I was very surprised. 4. ENVIRONMENT: The servers & employees- very unprofessional. They were seated next to us. They yell across the room, laugh & talk like they were outside. There were many employees but very loud, chaotic & disorganized. It was a distraction to our dining experience. 5. Was looking for Middle Eastern food on the east side while we were in town. This place was recommended by my SIL as comparable to Dearborn restaurants. Wasn't disappointed. Garlic was huge and super tasty, hummus excellent. I got the fattoush with chicken shawarma and hubby got the chicken shawarma sandwiches. Both were Huge! Bread was good. Before posting this I did read through a lot of the reviews about the service. I would have to agree on some points of these. The waitstaff never came back to see how things were which is fine because food was good. The waiters/busboy would just drop off food and not say anything. We did get drink refills without asking which was great, by the owner. I did notice a dynamic with the waitresses and the staff. They said across from booth from us while we ate and were swearing at each other and arguing constantly. The one large waitress with frizzy hair (who had a horrible attitude) was arguing with everyone around her calling other employees names and was and vacuuming nearby while we were eating. By far the best fattoush salad. I have dined at many places of the like and this is the most flavorful tasting. The hummus is outstanding too! The prices are awesome as well! Well I did it again, I went to this dirty joint for lunch. Order was wrong, she brought me feta to put on my own sandwich because she said the cook forgot. When I opened my sandwich and ruined it by the bread tearing it was not edible. Not to mention the meat was burnt to a crisp, the lentil soup resembled dirty dish water. The water glasses were filthy. She never brought more garlic as requested. The dumb dumb at the register can't keep up but yells at anyone trying to help her. The line to pay was litterly to the side of the restaurant . The sad thing is there were also customers lined out the door to get in here. We used to frequent this place often until it made me deathly ill. I had the a bad case of food poisoning that put me in the hospital. When I was feeling better I looked up their restaurant on the food violation website for the county and there were SO many violations it was disgusting! I ended up getting my order and more than half the items where missing. HALF THE ITEMS WHERE MISSING. Not to mention the food we did receive seemed preheated and not fresh at all. Kabob house used to be my favorite restaurant for years and years. Their food is always amazing! But I have to change my original review of this restaurant for a couple of reasons. They have the WORST phone customer service. If you try to call and place a carry out order, most of the time the person who answers the phone is this man who is foreign and talks really fast and rushes you when you're ordering, and he usually always messes up the order because he wasn't completely listening to what you ordered and he enters the wrong thing in the computer. It's fine that he's foreign, but it's already hard enough to understand him through his thick accent, so rushing me while I'm ordering makes it very hard to order. I literally do not even eat here at all anymore because I don't even want to deal with that. Also, before covid, their bread was always fresh and puffy and amazing and now they serve these flat cold pieces of pita bread with your garlic dip. I don't see why covid would cause the quality of food to go down. Also when everything started opening up again, they were very inconsistent. I went in to sit down and eat, the door said they closed at 3pm. It was 1:50pm and when we walked in the same fast talking foreign man said oh nope were actually closing at 2pm and refused us service. I said "the door says you close at 3pm" and he said that didn't matter. It's too much of a hassle to even try and eat here. I now eat at La Mia on Gratiot for my Mediterranean food and their service is always CONSISTENT and the food is AMAZING and CHEAP! Go to LA MIA instead!!!! read more

Just placed a big order from beaumont in madison heights for $150 and the staff was very rude about some extra bread. this is the second week in a row that we have ordered and now the staff wants to be rude over some extra bread. if we paid $150 for food, i dont think extra bread would have killed them. heck price is not the issue. This was my go to spot since Covid. The food is normally tasty. But what I don't like is the fact they have a sign that requires us to were mask upon entering. While the cooks in the back are not wearing mask at all. The ladies that package the carry outs mask are under their nose. What a shame in the middle of a pandemic. This is my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in the area. The new location is huge & WAY better than the old place. Parking lot is small (and watch out for the huge pot holes in the back!!) Food is absolutely amazing. Portion sizes are very large...& we always leave feeling so full. Nothing more to add to what others have already said, except if you're having a home party or off-location event, you can get catering sized portions of anything on the menu, and just like the regular menu, at great prices! All of this makes for a very popular/busy place during meal times. I've never dined in; the takeout counter is always slammed but they work hard and are very speedy.
