Very frustrated at this place. I've been here many times and the food is always better than average. The customer service however is always lacking. I always order Chicken Ghalaba served over hommous which is standard at most Lebanese places. This location refused to serve it under the rest of the food. One simple request. They would only serve it on a different plate...Unbelieveable. Even after saying I didn't care how much extra it would be. They refused. Never coming back here after such ridiculous service. Great food but very disappointed in the treatment we received while trying to place an order on the phone on Sunday for my daughter's birthday. We were calling between 4pm and 4:30. We were hung up on multiple times and one time heard someone YELLING at a customer about an order error. Finally after trying 5 or 6 times, you lost an $100+ order. I guess if you are so busy you can be rude to customers during this COVID crisis you don't need to be courteous and grateful. Best Mediterranean around. Fast service. The bread is always hot and fresh and garlic amazing. Huge portions you will always have left overs. Very fresh. Only reason for a 4 instead of 5 is checking out process insane...picking up carry out insane... usually something wrong in your order when getting carry out. Everything here is done well... And, in a location lacking good middle-eastern dining options. Nothing more to add to what others have already said, except if you're having a home party or off-location event, you can get catering sized portions of anything on the menu, and just like the regular menu, at great prices! Good food, but don't expect to be respected there. Last Sunday I ordered food by my phone and the person that attended me was really rude on the phone. I asked what would be one kind of soup that she offered me and she simply repeated several times in a very rude manner the name of the soup. When I went to pick up my food the same person asked my name to identify the order and I said: "Claudio". She wrongly understood that I said "I called you" and replied back in a rude manner again "Many people called me today, how can I know who you are?". I repeated my name and she identified my order. She called her sister and clearly started say bad things about me in her own language (not English) while her sister was laughing. If it was not enough she got my order wrongly and I waited around 30 minutes to have my plate corrected. When the plate finally arrived I asked the name and contact of the manager and, ironically smiling, her sister said " I'm the manager" and gave me her phone number. I've been going to that restaurant for several years and brought many family members and friends there because it was my preferred restaurant in the region. I live in Troy but I went there several times to pick up food. As I work in the GM tech center I went there several times during the last 6 years. I placed another large pick-up order ($77) thru GrubHub. When I got home and unpacked the order, 2 items were missing. I contacted GrubHub and was told that the restaurant was closed, the representative (Hue) took the information and said they'd follow-up with the restaurant the next today. I hadn't heard anything, so I contacted GrubHub again, explaining what happened. They contacted the restaurant and the manager (Zac) said he's not refunding the money for the missed items because I had to call the restaurant directly and request a refund on the day it happened. He also stated that the restaurant didn't close on Saturday. I won't be back, the missing items cost $4.77 with tax but not even offering a credit on my next order isn't a place I want to patronize. read more

Everyone at my work loves this place because they give you so much food, but I find it to be too much of an assembly line feel so that there's little ambience within the restaurant. It's like herding cattle through as quickly as possible. Parking is always limited around lunch time so you have to park far and wait forever for a table. Also it's not clean, I always dread when my co-workers pick this place because it's just not clean enough for my standards. I much prefer Oasis down the road on 12 and Mound. 2 stars for reasonable prices and fair food. read more

The food here is good but the service has been awful lately. We had a bad experience tonight. First, my fiancé ordered the same thing as the last time we were here - gallaba served over hummus and (we pay the extra $3) for hummus. The cook refused to serve it over hummus even though we ordered it like that last time. So he had to order it on the side. My daughter had to use the restroom. On our walk there, the waitresses were all huddled together looking at Avon magazines - mind you, a different waitress brought our food out and we hadn't been checked on after having our food for a good 10 minutes. The woman restrooms were disgusting. Pee all over the toilet seats. Apparently they don't know how to put a roll of toilet paper in the holder. BOTH stalls had full rolls of toilet paper on the bar, rather than in the holder. My daughter, being 7 years old, accidentally dropped the whole roll of toilet paper on the ground, which wouldn't have happened if the toilet paper was put away properly. Like I really want to use toilet paper that has been rolled around all over the disgusting ground!! SICK! When we were finished with our dinner, I had Togo to the front to get a container for my dressing. Our waitress was behind the front counter, again, looking at an Avon magazine which the host was outside smoking. WOW, what a way to run a business kabob house!!!!!! read more

I knew that the short menu that was pulling up online (incl. Yelp!) couldn't be accurate so I called to ask if I could find their menu online and the answer was, "No," so I had to order from the memory of my previous Mediterranean meals. That wasn't too hard but they failed to mention that sides came with the meals even after I inquired (the lunch size portion of deboned chicken in this case) so I ended up ordering way too much garlic sauce. He suggested the lunch size at 6 in the evening. If he didn't care what time it was then I didn't either. I also had no menu to look at and see if he actually did charge me for the lunch size, though. It came up to $36 and some change for the 2 lunch size deboned chicken entrees, a falafel appetizer (which was huge, if it was in fact the appetizer and not the meal. I think it had 9 falafel balls), 2 chicken shawarma wraps, and a large order of garlic sauce. The deboned chicken came with rice, hummus, and I believe it was a fattoush salad. There was also a sauce that had the color of hummus but was much thinner. I think it was a dipping sauce for the falafel. Now to the taste. Dare I say that the chicken shawarma wrap was the best I ever had? It was so delicious even the next day when I reheated the second one. The falafel is fantastic as well, and I love me some falafel and chicken shawarma. I didn't order the deboned chicken but I did try it and it was good as well. The hummus and the garlic sauce were also good, on par with any other place that I've had them. 4 stars for the food, one star short of five for the service and lack of an online presence. I go at least one to two times a week for their lunch sandwich special. It consists of endless bread, a gigantic salad, a sandwich of your choice, and a drink, all for $7.59. I don't think I've had as well priced or delicious food in my life. The bread is always fresh and endless, and everything else exceeds expectations. The size of the salad is unreal, and I usually end up taking home the sandwich for dinner. Only subtracting a star because it can get pretty dingy with the speed at which they move people through, and germaphobes may not love the place. This restaurant is OK. It satisfys my need for Lebanese food. It is not the best and not the worse. I enjoy there $3 grape leave sandwiches and $7 Fatoush salads. I have only ever been there for lunch since I work across the street. But let me tell you, at lunch time there is usually a line waiting to get table, they are very busy. They always seem to be under staffed. So expect your server to be short with you, and have you asking for things all the time. The place looks pretty clean, but I guess you never know. I like the fact they give you the garlic and bread right when you sit down, the bread is packaged pita bread, not the traditional homemade pita that you usually get. But hey for the low price, convenience this is well worth it. The only reason I didn't give them higher stars is because I have been to a ton of Lebanese restaurants(yet to be reviewed) and there is definitely better out there, but Kabob House will do :-) read more

This place has gone down hill over the years. I used to work in the area and ate here all the time. Service was slow, however, the servers at least got your order right and the food was consistent. I hadn't worked in the area in several years (so I hadn't eaten here in awhile) when an old co-worker wanted to get together, so we came here on a couple of occasions. The interior has been changed. It's refreshed with newer, tacky, taxi cab style times. The service has declined, significantly. In the last two visits, I had hair in my food, both orders were wrong (I order the fattoush salad with feta every time), and the server actually had the nerve to argue with me about it (hilarious because we both ordered the same exact thing). When we were paying, my friend paid, the total was $16 something, he paid with a $20, expecting change, he stood there and the server told him he was all set. He asked where his change was, she said she kept it for her tip. Won't be back. EVER! read more

Terrible experience. The place is close to my work so I stopped by for the first time for lunch. My food arrived with all the burned pieces attached and soaked due to unclean grill. It seemed that the chicken was marinated in carbon. Manager was very rude when I complained about the burned stuff being unhealthy and tried to lecture about how grilled chicken should look like. They made me wait 20 minutes and brought me another plate as bad as the first one. I refused to accept the food and the manager showed me attitude and said that this is how grill chicken should look like. Wow! If you are looking for cheap but excellent middle eastern food, this is the place! It's interior is no frills, but the price is just right! Also, the garlic dip with pita bread that they give you for free at the beginning of the meal is wonderful, but be warned, your breath will be terrible for the rest of the day!! I have been to just about every middle eastern restaurant in Macomb county and the kabob house ranks as one of the best. The food is delicious and the staff is great. The chicken shawarma and the lentil soup are top notch. The deboned chicken, hummus and fattoush are also done incredibly well. We wanted to try this place since it was always super busy and I pass it on a daily basis. When we got there on a Saturday evening it was in disarray and they told us to sit where ever. We sat down at a table and they took a few minutes to get to us, threw a bowl of garlic sauce on the table and a pitcher of water and a couple of menus that were super sticky. SO SAD: I want to love this place but the service makes it impossible. SKH has the best middle eastern food you can find in the area, but the service is consistently bad. The wait staff openly talk bad about one another. It is rare to get a drink refil or your bill brought to the table. After years of coming here for lunch and accepting that for good food at good prices I would have to accept bad service, I have cut the cord. I will accept slightly less tasty chicken from OASIS down the street, because the management here have made it clear they don't care about what patrons think. On mulitple occasions I have complained to the same manager that the service was bad to no avail. On my most recent trip I saw a waitress arguing about something foreign in the food, no apoogy offered. I am going to have to move on sadly. read more
