Food always very good and at a fair price. I grew up eating Middle Eastern food and this is very good.

Just met my honey for a lunch date here. The garlic sauce was super delicious and I told my man we need to get a tub of it and some rubber sheets because I wanted to smother my body in it! heheh!! I ordered chicken shawarma and vegetable soup. Both were very delicious, seasoned wonderfully, and we were served quickly and with a smile. The place was PACKED! The carry-out was very busy! The food is good. However service is the HORRIBLE! Even when its slow. I called in my lunch order, waited 20-30 to go pick it up and still wait 20 minutes. This has happened more than once. Also, I had a recycled salad from here before. Napkin and a twist tie - NOT KIDDING! I refuse to ever go back. I LOVE Kabob House! The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it does lack somewhat in service and the restaurant is definitely not much to look at, but the food completely makes up for it. My family and I used to only order takeout, but realized you get bigger portions and the food tastes even more fresh and wonderful if you are dining in. Every time I eat here I get the lunch or dinner special chicken shawarma with a fattoush salad. The meal comes with rice and garlic sauce with freshly baked pita bread that smells like cinnamon. It is all absolutely delicious. We have also tried the super tawook sandwich and stuffed grape leaves which are good as well. The prices on everything are extremely reasonable and they also offer a coupon bi-weekly in the Warren Weekly. This place is definitely worth the try. read more

Used to taste way better. Seems like they are getting larger and larger and the taste is diminishing. Falafel was not good at all. I used to come for lunch during my break at work but it's not worth it anymore. They are also always busy but move pretty fast when you are waiting to be seated. Simply the best of the best. First of all, they provided warm pita bread and white garlic cream dip. They provide huge pitchers of water. refills on bread. Hello, thanks for reading. The food is good, but the service is horrible. I have been here a few times & service was slow, but not like this. About 3 weeks ago, I went to this place at 1:30 PM on a Friday for a late lunch, with about 6 people in the restaurant. I ordered a lunch special with kabob sandwich, soup & soda. I received service within 5 minutes to place my order & got my soup & soda. I waited another 25 minutes for my sandwich, which I never got, because I had to leave as my lunch hour was over. Additional people had come in during this time, ordered & had eaten their lunch. The sever had left the room several times & had fogotten my order. The wait staff was the obvious breakdown in service, as they paid no attention, as they all chat together with no observation of customers. I had to walk up to the counter as I left & asked what my bill was. I was charged for the soup & soda & left no tip. Due to the fact fact that I was there for over 30 minutes, I was pissed off & paid the bill. Today, 2/28/13, I went again thinking to give the Kabob House another chance. It was 11:15 AM & they were average busy. I sat by myself at a table for 10 minutes with no service person to notice me. I noticed that other tables around me we also waiting. The servers stood around the front counter chatting without a care in the world. I even waved my hand at one of the servers without their notice. This is B.S. The servers need to get it in gear! Pissed off customer from GM Tech Center accroos the street! I have talked to my friends at other Tier 1's & they express the same. Good place to open a restaurant is what I said to the 2 ladies beside me when I left with no service today! I will not be back until you get your servers in order! This is B.S. in today's world! If you've read the other reviews, you already know this place has horrible service. They can take forever, the waitresses are often rude, and there are many mistakes. That never deterred me as the food was always good. What made me decide to never eat there again is that (what I presume was) the owner refused to fix a problem I had with a prior takeout order. He kept saying he does not want the cost to "come out of my pocket". He also wanted to know the name of the waitress that made the takeout mistake, which I had no clue because the order was made over the phone and it was from a couple weeks prior. He said he could not trust a mistake was made. But, he also said I could have called the day the mistake was made to get it fixed. How does that make a difference? Either he trusts what I say or he doesn't. Him inquiring about the waitress's name also made me wonder if his policy is to take the cost of all mistakes out of their pockets. So, if you want to risk waiting a long time to get the wrong food from a rude waitress at a restaurant with questionable policies towards its employees, by all means eat here. I just visited their new locations where Sero's used to be. I picked up a carry-out pita sandwich. The food was mediocre. My biggest issue though is that the front of the house looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a week. So dirty! I wonder what the kitchen looks like if the front of the house looked the way it did. I've been going to Kabob House for years - easily 20+ times. I can, with great confidence, say that Kabob House has the best fatoosh and hummus in all of Michigan. I've been to SEVERAL middle eastern restaurants - Dearborn also - and I'm still sure this is the best. I keep coming back here because the food is incredible. I always get the "daily special" which is the deboned chicken with hummus, rice & your choice between soup or salad. Their lentil soup is wonderful, their salad is amazing. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the AMAZING dressing they use on their salad - it is the best I've ever had. I've had a bad experience with the staff and I was super angry and disappointed in that regards but the food is just too good for me to quit this place. The credit card machine is also really slow which is annoying. The decor is ugly and outdated and I admit, it doesn't feel like it's the cleanest place around but I've never had a problem with the taste of my food. read more

I work near by and if you're doing carry out make sure to check your order before you leave. I usually get the fattoush salad and I have gotten back to work multiple times and realizing that they didn't put the dressing on the salad. All of the staff gossips about each other when costumers are at the counter. They have raised the prices and down graded their ingredients. This is my daughters favorite place! Agreed to go since it was the weekend as during the week the place is packed. Place was empty, the one side was closed. Got seated and waitress took our order waited and waited for our drinks the table behind us had a different waitress and had food before we got our drinks. Got our drinks, soup was brought with food. Fries never came. Asked waitress to take fries off bill and she said oh they never came out? Well ugh no you never brought them out. Asked for 2 carry out boxes got 1. Never was asked if wanted refills on the soda. The other waitress was on it, the table behind us were treated like queens and Kings , asked if wanted drinks to go, brought containers and a bag she was awesome. Next time I bring my daughter I will refuse to have Amouna wait on us. This was actually the second time we have had her and she sucks!!! I went to the Kabob House yesterday, June 22, 2013, and I ordered an carryout, and when i arrived my order was ready. When i approach the counter the Oct-to mom lookalike girl, said can you wait., I would like to finish packing the bread. Okay what was I suppose to say, no come and give me my order. While waiting, I picked up a dessert, so " Oct- to mom" look alike" with a bad Angelina Jolie Lip job done, finally came with a bad attitude. The food is okay, but please pack your patient. I visited this restaurant for the first time recently. All of the tables were filthy and our waitress greeted us by slamming a pitcher of water on the table and walking away. She came back still without formally greeting us and took our order. The food was bland, tasteless and overcooked. The waitress never check us and was rude when we did interact. I told the cashier the service was poor and she laughed and said she had been hearing that all night. I don't think will be back. read more

The food was actually pretty good, that's if they actually get it right! I live in the area and eat there frequently. I usually order the same thing chicken shawarma no pickles and 2 times they have gotten it wrong. The first time I placed my order in person and I checked it before I left and he swore up and down that I said no tomatoes!! He was very rude might I add. Instead of apologizing and making me another one he wanted to argue with me about what I said. I since moved pass that experience and returned today with a call in order...again, chicken shawarma no pickles. I open up wrapper when i got home and what is the first thing I see...a pickle sticking out! As I opened the sandwich to remove any more pickles (3) I noticed that it didn't have anything else in the sandwich only chicken and pickles!! The food here is amazing but the service is terrible.There is only two waitresses in the whole restauraunt that I will let wait on me as the others look bothered by the customers, they want their money and thats it. lunch is incredibly busy during the week expect to wait 20 to 30 minutes to get your food during those hours. Not sure what happened but over the past few months the service and quality has just gone down hill. On this particular night, the waitress sat us down and did not bring us the complimentary garlic sauce and bread they serve every diner, however the next patrons she sat down she brought it out promptly. We had to ask for ours. When we placed our order, the waitress asked if we wanted to order the lunch portion or dinner portion. It was 6pm so I thought dinner was all they served, but guess not. Of course I opted for lunch. Next, she repeated our orders back to us and added fattoush down as our sides. I told her we didn't want that, we wanted lentil soup. Kind of took me by surprise that she took it upon herself to decide what our sides were. When she went to put the order in, she came back out literally 3 minutes later with our prepared entrees. I don't know why...but it just turned me way off. Was the food just sitting there or what? How did it come out so fast??? The food came out on a giant 12-14 inch plate and it looked about the same amount of food as a usual dinner plate at this place. When the bill came, both dishes were charged at lunch prices. I guess if you go here, make sure you order "lunch". You will receive the same amount of food as the "dinner", except you'll only pay half the price. Anyway, the waitress was just really bad. Amazing food for first time. Got a giant fatoush salad with chicken and rice and hummus for $9 as the daily special. Comes with warm fresh baked pita bread and unlimited garlic sauce. Coffee/pop was inexpensive too vs other places. Maybe not the cleanest place (had to ask for table to be wiped down again and second set of silverware) but overall good service - servers tag teamed dropping things off to the table. read more

I like their food but their service and cleanliness can be a lot better. Went into their new restaurant and half of the restaurant had dirty tables stacked with dirty dishes you could not sit in the front of the restaurant. Not a site you want to see when walking into a place to eat. A week later we tried to call in a carryout for lunch and the phone just rang and rang and rang.
