I barely ever write reviews ever ... but this shit shack deserves it. I came here about a year ago , ordered the burger and fries, and a hookah. Normally the food is always good, but that day it was horrible and the hookah was like smoking out of a diesel truck exhaust pipe. I didn't smoke and didn't eat and told them I'm not paying for the hookah, it was horrible. Long story short they banned me for not wanting to pay for there backyard hookah. Fast forward a year later I come back because a friend told me her experience was good, I order the same thing hookah and burger, and what do you know shit again. Horrible service, don't refill drinks , burger tasted like it was cardboard, fries where like tree branches, and the hookah was as if I'm smoking asphalt. This place is going downhill. We had been getting food from here for many years. But after our disappointing experience lately, we have decided to never go there or recommend any of our friends ever. My husband ordered food over the phone and was there in 20 mins. They made him wait for another 30 mins. No apologies. When he brought the food home , the chicken koobideh was beyond burnt. It was rubbery and tasted like charcoal. He was upset and really thought of returning but it was late and I didn't want him to take the trouble of making a trip at night. Horrible place. They do not even check back on you for drink refills. So I figured I should call in my orders instead. The staff answered the phone without giving even giving a chance to speak her, hung up on me twice, then put me on hold for 5 mins without ever checking back on me. Wife and I stopped by here on Saturday afternoon and we were impressed. After being seated by our host (i thought it was a fast food type place) we were asked what we would like to drink by the same person. Later on, we saw her taking a plate of food to another table and taking a drive thru order on her headset. This lady does it all!!! At first glance of the menu we were completely confused. Thank god for the pictures on the wall or else we wouldn't of had any idea what to order. The menu has items with ingredients that we've never heard of before and for the most part.. couldn't even pronounce. The Mrs ordered a filet kabob and she enjoyed it. I love Kabob Hutt! My family lives in the area and we come here whenever we're craving good Persian food. We've been to A LOT of Persian restaurants over the years, and this one is one of the best. All of the portions are big (especially the kabobs,) so you get all you need and more. From the friendly and helpful service to the delicious food, this place is a must if you're in the area. The food food here is amazing came with my mom and she was excited bc she had never ate there before but would always wonder about it. She had the 3 stew plate and substituted the crispy rice with soft basmati rice excellent plate. I then had the V10 with eggplant in a bowl and basmati rice. The cuisine is amazing and the ambiance of the restaurant is calming and soothing. Love the painting and the glass painted windows really adds to the environment. Placed an order here for pickup. Got there 15 mins later but service was a little slow because they seemed under staffed. The hostess was really nice but still didn't get my food for another 10 mins. My one star is due to the lack of customer service. My husband and I ordered from Uber Eats and when we got our order, one of the meals was wrong. We called Kabob Hut and the server said they delivered what was on the order. My husband checked the order and found that THEY delivered the wrong meal. This was an interesting place. It's a little out of the way, you really have to look for it. The building layout looks like it was converted from an ihop or fast food joint. I was there on a Saturday night. The advertised live music is two very average guys playing a keyboard and guitar in the background. The belly dancing was very awkward and a little sad, because the place was too quiet. There is this big room with a few customers and the belly dancer is trying her best to pretend there is an audience? The food was pretty delicious and fairly priced. Portions definitely big enough. Gave it a try for lunch a week ago, and went back for dinner 5 days later. When we came for dinner we sat on the patio....although not exactly a picturesque view of Main St., but we enjoyed the early evening balmy weather and had the patio to ourselves. Wait staff was excellent in describing the different dishes. Chose this spot for hubby's 39th birthday dinner last week & it was soooo delicious! We brought my sister in law, her husband, their son & my mother in law. Kabob Hutt has an unfortunate spelling, but their food makes up for it. While waiting for a windshield to be installed, I dropped by after reading the positive reviews here at yelp. I had dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) as an appetizer. They were warm with a mixed grain filling. Unfortunately the wrapping was somewhat loose, so I had to chase some of the lentils and and other grains around the plate, but they were rounded up pronto. Main course was a chicken breast kabob, with alternating bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and chicken. Presentation was striking, a bright yellow orange kabob lying next to what I can best describe as Persian basmati rice a roni. Bright yellow (saffron? turmeric?) rice was sprinkled atop a large portion of white basmati rice. Taste was subtle with the rice, and additional meat juices would have made it more special. Service was excellent and most of the other diners were Persians who seemed to enjoy a bit of home where they could eat what grandma used to make and talk with each other in Farsi. This white girl had no problem fitting right in. Where else can you eat that the owner gives you a salaam? All in all, Kabob Hutt is a keeper. read more

The saying "location, location, location" certainly isn't what drives the success of this place. That is unless being tucked between two auto service centers and 200 feet from the 91 freeway is somehow appealing to you. Beyond those negatives however is a very wonderful dining experience. We have only ordered takeout from the Kabob Hutt. The first time it was by using their drive-thru, which was a mistake as it took over 30 minutes to get our food. Despite the long wait, the food we got was delicious and we were hooked. The next time we were interested in take out from them, I noticed that they had a online system to place an order and have it ready for when you are able to pick it up. That worked to perfection. Waiting for me was grilled chicken kabobs, lamb kabobs and hummus. Each order also came with grilled peppers, onions and loads of rice cooked with saffron. The kabobs were juicy and had the right amount of seasoning. When we first moved to Corona we thought that it was going to be tacos, burgers and nothing else. We're glad that Kabob Hutt is one of a few oases around the 91 saving us from that kind of food boredom. Looking forward to some kabobs soon! read more

Unlike other restaurants, I didn't feel rushed to order, rushed to eat and rushed to leave. Serves is a bit slow but if you're not in a rush it shouldn't be a big deal. The food is good but comes with premium pricing. Ordered juicy chicken with side of veggie skewer. The TAKE OUT menu stats Veggie skewer is $2.99. Charged me $4.99. Online ordering wasn't working btw, geniuses. The final straw for me was when she charged me .50 cents for side of house dressing which is a first. My friend and I went there yesterday. Before I write my review I want to mention that we are Persian. Beef koobideh kabob ( ground beef) was not good at all. Chicken barg was to rough. The barg meet needs to be tender, soft. My friend mentioned that koobideh tasted like boiled not grilled meet. We took a bite and left it alone. Basmati rice was good. Tonight was our first time at Kabob Hut for my husband and myself and we loved it. We came for dinner and hookah on a mini date. The rice was amazing and the house dressing was sooooo good. We sat on the patio so we could also enjoy some hookah as well as our dinner. The staff was very friendly and on top of their duties. The only thing I would like to see is more advertisement for the hookah, there are no hookah lounges in corona and this place can be so much more popular if they would advertise that they are also a hookah lounge. I personally drive to Anaheim hills for a hookah lounge but now that I have found this place I am very excited and would love to see some custom blends and more flavors on the list for hookah. I'm giving this restaurant 1 star not for the food (the food is absolutely amazing) BUT for the customer service. I ordered online and NOT only did they charge me FOUR times (2 times on my debit card and 2 times on my credit card WTF?!)...they got my order wrong! I come strictly for the Juicy Chicken and instead of giving me the juicy chicken they gave me a dark meat chicken platter. I've tried several times to give this place a chance because I love the food...but over and over again they ALWAYS seem to disappoint me with the crappy service. No apologies...NOTHING but to make him wait another 20 mins for the food. They don't offer any free drinks or apologies for their mistakes! The food came out hot and juicy but lacked some sort of seasoning. The rice was fresh, fluffy and soft. Overall the food tasted fresh but the service was a complete joke. Not sure if I can overlook the lack of service no matter how good the food was. I can't believe they have like 10 waiters and waitresses working before the dinner rush but no one checks to see how my late lunch is going or if I needed another drink. I can't believe that the manager running this place wouldn't train the waiters to be all over a new customer walking into the door.
