Kabob House is amazing - an absolute hidden gem in Riverside that I've had at least 20 times in the last 7 years. I've had halal kabobs from restaurants all over SoCal and the country and this place is still my favorite. It's a great option for catering (I always get the family platter pictured) and this was my go to place when we lived nearby - the flavors are tasty but not too overpowering so it works for all guests no matter their spice preference. We still drive up to 30 mins to cater from here because the food is always so good and a reliable hit with any guests that we have over. FOOD: The meat is not just flavorful but most importantly, it's somehow always just so moist, so juicy, and so tender all the way through. And it's not just the meats - every item they serve is just really unexpectedly delicious. At most kabob places, the rice/pita/salad/hummus are just weak add ons to fill up the plate, but these items are always so delicious at Kabob House and you can always taste the flavor bursting in every item (my fav is the salad which has a lemon/vinegary kick to it that just elevates the meal). All the items on the menu are great, but my personal favorite is the salmon kabob (if you've never had a salmon kabob, do yourself a favor and try it out and at least add one skewer of it if you get a combo) - the owner recommended this to me years ago, and I've always added at least a couple skewers every time since - all my guests rave about it. SERVICE/AMBIANCE It's a small casual family owned restaurant and the service is always super friendly. You can see the food being made fresh behind the counter which shows their confidence - it's clear they take immense pride in the quality of all their items and are eager to share their food and Palestinian heritage. The price is also exceptional value for the quantity of food you get, especially compared to other similar restaurants. OVERALL: I will continue to eat from here and would highly recommend trying it out. read more

I really love the food here. I came and ordered Ty mixed shawarma (beef and chicken) plate with an extra pita. The owners are very kind and welcoming, and the ambiance is very laid back. The portion is very generous and the food has wonderful flavor. The meats are well seasoned and delicious, and the grilled onions that come on top take the taste over the top. So good! Everything was super fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. Service was great from super friendly staff. I had the falafel pita which was SO GOOD. My girlfriend let me try some of her kefta wrap and it was also very flavorful, fresh tasting, and dekicious. The restaurant and even the outside patio area are super clean and nicely decorated. They just opened a Luna Grill across the street, don't know why Riverside would allow this, but just know Kabob House is the real deal and Luna Grill is the McDonald's of Mediterranean food nothing but corporate chain slop . my late uncle brought me here once and i remember especially enjoying the rice. haven't been here in years but decided to stop by. the flavors are still the same!! prices are steady and reflect those of even last year (which is rare these days). tender meat and good flavor, buttery and soft rice, and fresh vegetables in the salad. ordered #4 skewers kabob (3) and got one of each beef, lamb, and chicken. i enjoyed the lamb the most since it was the most tender and the seasonings fit that meat best. beef was a little tough for my liking but still had good flavor. chicken was chicken haha. the salad and hummus were sour but that's how i enjoy my things! salad seems to have the vinegar mix from the peppers. food flavor. could use some cheese but it works. good crunch from cucumbers and tomatoes. i only wish the bread was made in house. i got the mango lassi drink and it was just okay, wish it had more mango or yogurt flavor. i wanted to try salaam cola but didn't see it until i was on my way out (cans were turned away). it would also be nice to have drink prices posted somewhere. they have a cool selection like orangina (french), tazah, golden plate, and karoun. they even have a mint yogurt drink...interesting stuff. service was prompt and cashier was nice. it's pretty quiet and clean for the most part. some people will hate on the "outdated" look but i think it works. it is family-owned and they serve good food. their beautiful artwork and pictures/history is a plus! palestine and its people are beautiful...and its food is delicious!! overall, it was very filling and nice setting to eat in. will be back to try their desserts! they have so many to pick from. read more

While in Riverside, we stopped at lunch at the kebab house and for a small fast food restaurant this was pretty darn good. The meat was very tender. The hummus was excellent and it comes with a garlic sauce of some sort that really has a kick to it. For example, I would recommend taking your order to go (and avoid the restrooms, if you can). While the staff is busy, they always make time to greet you and answer any questions about their menu. Amazing Middle Eastern food. I think it starts with the authentic flame grill. You can smell and taste the char from the chicken. Amazing. Located on Magnolia Ave near Park Sierra Dr across the street from McDonald's, with plenty of parking and outside seating. I was craving good Mediterranean food and found 'Kabob House' online, so I walked in to give it a try and ordered takeout. Friendly and welcoming cashier who was very helpful with the menu. The restaurant is small and kept very clean. Food is served on Styrofoam containers. We ordered their 'Chicken Kabob Plate', which is basically what I know as a Mediterranean Salad. Chicken Kabob was delicious, but the plate had a bit too much dressing for my taste. I also tried their 'Beef Shawarma', which is Tri-tip with hummus, onions, tomatoes, Pickles & Tahiti wrapped in Pita. For appetizer, we had their 'Shawarma Fries' with beef and finished our dinner off with a 'Namoora' as dessert (a coconut & almond cake). Everything was delicious, meat so tender & flavorful...it was such a satisfying dinner. Prices are competitive, and portions are generous. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu items.
