Reviews were good, local hole in the wall, let's find out... Service is counter, friendly and nice. As befits the current economy, prices are a bit higher for a local lunch. Food was excellent, enjoyed my Kafta very much although I would have preferred a grilled tomato and peppers like other places have. Bread was good, rice was good. Kabob House is amazing - an absolute hidden gem in Riverside that I've had at least 20 times in the last 7 years. I've had halal kabobs from restaurants all over SoCal and the country and this place is still my favorite. It's a great option for catering (I always get the family platter pictured) and this was my go to place when we lived nearby - the flavors are tasty but not too overpowering so it works for all guests no matter their spice preference. We still drive up to 30 mins to cater from here because the food is always so good and a reliable hit with any guests that we have over. FOOD: The meat is not just flavorful but most importantly, it's somehow always just so moist, so juicy, and so tender all the way through. And it's not just the meats - every item they serve is just really unexpectedly delicious. At most kabob places, the rice/pita/salad/hummus are just weak add ons to fill up the plate, but these items are always so delicious at Kabob House and you can always taste the flavor bursting in every item (my fav is the salad which has a lemon/vinegary kick to it that just elevates the meal). All the items on the menu are great, but my personal favorite is the salmon kabob (if you've never had a salmon kabob, do yourself a favor and try it out and at least add one skewer of it if you get a combo) - the owner recommended this to me years ago, and I've always added at least a couple skewers every time since - all my guests rave about it. SERVICE/AMBIANCE It's a small casual family owned restaurant and the service is always super friendly. You can see the food being made fresh behind the counter which shows their confidence - it's clear they take immense pride in the quality of all their items and are eager to share their food and Palestinian heritage. The price is also exceptional value for the quantity of food you get, especially compared to other similar restaurants. This place is great especially if you're at the hospital and looking for something good to eat it's right across the street that you can walk to it. I ordered 2 of the chicken kabob plates which did take about 20 min to come out which means your food is coming out fresh and it's worth the wait. The salad had great seasoning, very refreshing, although I wasn't a big fan of the pickles or yellow peppers in it. The chicken is juicy and flavorful and you think the rice is just plain white rice but it's so buttery and soft! The plate comes with one pita bread to dip in the tasty hummus that was also yummy and not too sour like some places can be. Overall food is 10/10 you get a big meal with lots of flavor. I had leftovers so I would say you can share 1 plate and be fine. The place is a little old and outdated but I think that's how you know a place is gonna serve you some good food. I really love the food here. I came and ordered Ty mixed shawarma (beef and chicken) plate with an extra pita. The owners are very kind and welcoming, and the ambiance is very laid back. The portion is very generous and the food has wonderful flavor. The meats are well seasoned and delicious, and the grilled onions that come on top take the taste over the top. my late uncle brought me here once and i remember especially enjoying the rice. haven't been here in years but decided to stop by. the flavors are still the same!! prices are steady and reflect those of even last year (which is rare these days). tender meat and good flavor, buttery and soft rice, and fresh vegetables in the salad. ordered #4 skewers kabob (3) and got one of each beef, lamb, and chicken. i enjoyed the lamb the most since it was the most tender and the seasonings fit that meat best. beef was a little tough for my liking but still had good flavor. chicken was chicken haha. the salad and hummus were sour but that's how i enjoy my things! salad seems to have the vinegar mix from the peppers. food flavor. could use some cheese but it works. good crunch from cucumbers and tomatoes. i only wish the bread was made in house. i got the mango lassi drink and it was just okay, wish it had more mango or yogurt flavor. i wanted to try salaam cola but didn't see it until i was on my way out (cans were turned away). it would also be nice to have drink prices posted somewhere. they have a cool selection like orangina (french), tazah, golden plate, and karoun. they even have a mint yogurt drink...interesting stuff. service was prompt and cashier was nice. it's pretty quiet and clean for the most part. some people will hate on the "outdated" look but i think it works. it is family-owned and they serve good food. their beautiful artwork and pictures/history is a plus! palestine and its people are beautiful...and its food is delicious!! overall, it was very filling and nice setting to eat in. will be back to try their desserts! they have so many to pick from. read more

This is my go to spot whenever I'm in the area. The food is hands down the best and tastes homemade! The downside is that the restaurant looks a little run down, so make sure to manage expectations. For example, I would recommend taking your order to go (and avoid the restrooms, if you can). While the staff is busy, they always make time to greet you and answer any questions about their menu. We order the meat skewer plate that included hummus, salad and rice. Plus, a chicken shawarma wrap. The portions of the plate were so big, we had a second helping in the evening. Located on Magnolia Ave near Park Sierra Dr across the street from McDonald's, with plenty of parking and outside seating. I was craving good Mediterranean food and found 'Kabob House' online, so I walked in to give it a try and ordered takeout. Friendly and welcoming cashier who was very helpful with the menu. The restaurant is small and kept very clean. Food is served on Styrofoam containers. We ordered their 'Chicken Kabob Plate', which is basically what I know as a Mediterranean Salad. Chicken Kabob was delicious, but the plate had a bit too much dressing for my taste. I also tried their 'Beef Shawarma', which is Tri-tip with hummus, onions, tomatoes, Pickles & Tahiti wrapped in Pita. For appetizer, we had their 'Shawarma Fries' with beef and finished our dinner off with a 'Namoora' as dessert (a coconut & almond cake). Everything was delicious, meat so tender & flavorful...it was such a satisfying dinner. Prices are competitive, and portions are generous. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu items.
